Maggie L. DeClue
Maggie L. DeClue of Sullivan, Mo., passed away on Friday, May 17, 2002 at
the age of 71 years.
Mrs. DeClue was born on June 14, 1930 in Richwoods, Mo. to Lesley and Sarah
(Pounds) Heads. In 1948 she was united in marriage to Evan S. DeClue at
Potosi, Mo. Throughout her adult years Maggie served her family as a
devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She enjoyed working with
flowers and collecting nicknacks. Maggie also found pleasure in fishing and
hunting for mushrooms. She will be remembered and cherished as a very
loving person.
She is survived by eight sons, Bill DeClue, Clarence DeClue and wife,
Sharon, and Tommy Lee DeClue, all of Sullivan, Timothy and Davey DeClue of
the state of California, David DeClue and wife, LaDonna, of Potosi, Mo.,
Donald Wayne Lanham of Stanton, Mo., and James DeClue of Union, Mo.; four
daughters, Mary Ruth Boyster of Sullivan, Debbie Lajeuness and husband,
Paul, of Union, Beverly Ball of Gerald, Mo. and Kathy Kirk of Doniphan,
Mo.; a special friend, Howard Gillam of Steelville, Mo.
Three brothers, Roy Heads of Cuba, Mo., William Heads of Sullivan, and
James Heads of Green Forest, Arkansas; four sisters, Mary Mesey of Desoto,
Mo., Esther Burris of Beecher City, Illinois, Lucy Kirk of Doniphan, and
Janie Bardwell of Oakland, California
Sixteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, other
relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. DeClue
was preceded in death by one son, Steve Alan DeClue, one daughter, Margie
Marie DeClue, one great-granddaughter, Stephanie Michelle DeClue, three
brothers, Glen, Lester, and Jessie Heads, and six sisters, Maggie DeClue,
Alice Courtoise, Charlene House, Roise Courtoise, Dorothy Stetson, and
Linda Heads.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, 2002 from the
Chapel of the Hassebroek Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor David
Bridgeman officiating. Interment was in the Reedville Cemetery. Visitation
was from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 19,
2002 at the Hassebroek Funeral Home in Sullivan.
Lydia Hogan
Lydia Hogan nee Lopez was born Wednesday, May 18, 1938 at San Bernadino,
California, a daughter of the late Nellie (Gutierrez) and Victor Lopez.
She entered eternal rest Saturday, May 11, 2002, in St. Clair, Mo., at the
age of 63 years, 11 months and 23 days.
On September 20, 1958 at San Bernadino, California, Lydia was united in
marriage to Donald Thurston Hogan, Sr. Three sons were born to this union.
They enjoyed over forty years together, before his death December 28, 1998.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lydia was preceded in death by one
son, Mark Allen Hogan, January 3, 1985; and brother-in-law Eddie Almager.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are two sons, Donald T. Hogan,
Jr. and wife Deborah of High Ridge, Mo., Dirk T. Hogan and wife Tammy of
St. Clair, Mo.; one step-son Douglas Paul Hogan and wife Donna of
California; three sisters Rosalie Tessler and Gloria Almager of California,
Erma Phillips and husband Brian of Utah; and six grandchildren.
Also remaining are sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anna Mae Mager of
Carbondale, Illinois, Roger and Pauline Hogan of Negaunee, Michigan, Rick
and Diane Hogan, Christina Hogan, all of Steelville, Mo., Rhonda and George
Stevens of Salem, Mo.; other relatives and many friends.
Lydia Hogan lay in state 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2002, at the Britton
Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were held 11 a.m.
Wednesday, May 15, 2002 in the Britton Chapel with Father Paul Telken
officiating with Daryl Lynn assisting.
Committal prayers and interment were in Sellers Cemetery, Dillard, Mo.
Serving as pallbearers were Dirk T. Hogan, Donald T. Hogan, Jr., Lonnie
Morrison, Sr., Jim Cottrell, Brian Phillips and Ken Moorman. Honorary
pallbearers were Jesse Hogan and Paul Hogan.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville,
Mo.
Charlene Anne Licklider
Charlene Anne Licklider nee Hasten was born Friday, August 15, 1947, at St.
Louis, Mo., a daughter of the late Paul Hasten and Mildred Gladine Hasten
Burton (nee Land).
She departed this life Saturday, May 11, 2002, at the Missouri Baptist
Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 54 years, 8 months and 16 days.
Charlene leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Debra Burton of St. Louis,
Mo.; a half brother, Luther Allen Fogle and wife Debbie of Michigan;
special friends who took great care of her the last several years,
Christina Jones and Vickie Hanks of Steelville, Mo.; nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son,
Robert Lee Hasten; and one brother, Charles Edward Land, Sr.
Graveside services and interment was held Friday, May 15, 2002, 11 a.m., at
the Davisville Cemetery, Davisville, Mo., with Rev. Marvin Callahan
officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Brothers Funeral Home,
Steelville, Mo.
