Edith M. Blevins
Edith M. Blevins of New Haven, Missouri, was born in New Haven, Missouri
on September 25, 1947 to George and Ella (Birke) Pohlmann and passed away
Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri
at the age of 64 years.
She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Hudson, Missouri and
the German-American Club. She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, going on bus
tours, going to the Muny Opera and spending time with family and friends.
Edith worked as a nurse for Hermann Area District Hospital for over 20
years.
She is survived by two sons, Russell Blevins of Leslie, Missouri and
Walter Blevins and wife Maribelle of Bonsall, California; daughter,
Elizabeth Blevins of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Fred Pohlmann and wife
Lucia of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Donald Pohlmann and wife Lucille
of New Haven, Missouri; other family members, Elizabeth Rugo, Crystal Webb,
Lily Rugo, and Grant McDermott, all of Leslie, Missouri; one grandson,
Russell Anthony Blevins of Washington, Missouri; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was Friday, May 18, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse
Funeral Home, New Haven, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Port
Hudson, Missouri at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 with Father Jim
Foster officiating.
Burial was at the Holy Family Cemetery, Port Hudson, Missouri.

New Haven, Missouri.
Sharon R. Casarotto
Sharon R. Casarotto of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, December 3, 1942
to Leo and Alice Marie (nee Giesmann) Bogue and passed away Sunday,
May 13, 2012 at Frene Valley Nursing Healthcare in Owensville, Missouri
at the age of 69 years.
Sharon was united in marriage to John Casarotto on June 20, 1959 at Cuba,
Missouri and to this union three daughters were born.
Sharon spent the first 20 years of her married life staying home and
raising children, then in 1978 she went to work for Paramount and was
there until the late 1990’s. She then worked at Cuba Manor and finally
retired last year from the Cuba McDonald’s. Sharon enjoyed playing bingo,
traveling, taking cruises, gardening, canning and shopping with her
grandchildren. What she truly enjoyed most was Sunday morning breakfast when
she would cook for the whole family and all family gatherings for any
occasion or holiday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Alice Bogue, Sr.; two
sisters, Mary and husband John Menz and Pat and husband Charles Waidmann;
sisters-in-law, Millie Bogue and Gloria and husband Raymond Littrell and
other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 53 years, John Casarotto of the
home; three daughters, Pam and husband John Volner, Pat and husband Ronnie
Woodruff and Linda and husband Kenneth Fowler, all of Cuba, Missouri;
three grandchildren, Amanda Crow and friend Justin Bunton, Kerry and
husband Jake Gassmann and Christopher Volner; six great grandchildren,
Macie, Hailee, Dylan, Taylor, Paige and Kloe; three brothers, Richard Leo
Bogue, Jr. of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry and wife Donna Bogue of St. John’s,
Indiana and Bill and wife Wanda Bogue of Cuba, Missouri; one sister,
Shirley Click of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral
Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Mizell
Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Miles officiating.
Special music was “When I Get to Where I’m Going,” “Momma’s Song” and
“Tears in Heaven.”
Pallbearers were Charles Schroyer, Jerry Bogue, Randy Waidmann, Brian
Littrell, Wesley Littrell and Eric Gahr.
Interment and prayers followed at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba,
Missouri.
Phillip “Marvin” Dicus
Phillip “Marvin” Dicus was born Sunday, June 3, 1928 in Huzzah, Missouri
to David Bradley and Grace Blount Dicus and passed away Saturday,
May 12, 2012 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville, Missouri at the age of
83 years, 11 months and 9 days.
As a young man, Marvin worked in the cantaloupe fields in Southern
California. He returned to Huzzah, Missouri where he met and married Lois
Setzer on December 24, 1949. Marvin and Lois enjoyed over 62 years of
marriage.
On February 28, 2012, Marvin was diagnosed with influenza type A. He
developed many complications over the next days and weeks. For the past
month, he had been lovingly cared for by his family and the nurses and
aides at Gibbs Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Dave Dicus; brother,
Gene Dicus; two sisters, Cleta Ottinger and Gerry Kick; mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Jimmy and Becca Setzer; brothers-in-law, Kenneth, James,
and George Setzer; and sister-in-law, Marie Cottrell.
He is survived by his wife, Lois of the home; daughter, Phyllis; son-in-law,
Dean Galbraith; two grandchildren, T and Taylor Galbraith; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and funeral service
on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating. Burial was at the
Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.

Missouri.
Dorothy Lee House
Dorothy “Cotton” Lee Davis House was born on February 19, 1928 in Flat
River, Missouri to Clyde and Emma Lewis Davis and passed away Monday,
May 14, 2012 at the Life Care Center of Sullivan, Missouri at the age of
84 years.
She married William C. House on October 3, 1953 in Flat River, Missouri.
Dorothy was a Seventh Day Adventist. She loved to cook, sew and quilt.
Among her other delights were gardening and canning, but most of all her
passion was to be with her family sharing and caring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Emma Davis; two
daughters, Vickie Lee McHenry and Brenda Sue House; brother, Bob Davis
and a sister, Norma Jean McClanahan.
She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Richard Wayne and wife
Jane House of Truxton, Missouri and Ernst Ray and wife Judy House; three
daughters, Charline Marie and husband Carl Knuckles of Bourbon, Missouri,
Kay and husband Jerry Don McGee of Flower Mound, Texas and Dorthea Lou
“LuLu” and husband David Kramme of Kirkwood, Missouri; brother, Donald and
wife Kate Davis of O’Fallon, Missouri; two sisters, Wanda Miller and Polly
Brand; sister-in-law, Donna Davis; numerous grandchildren; great
grandchildren; great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at The Life Care Center of Sullivan on
June 10, 2012 at 2 p.m.

Ryan Jacob Pickle
Ryan Jacob Pickle of Salem, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on
June 7, 1992 to Stephen Pickle and Lisa (Wood) Irwin and passed away
Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia,
Missouri from the results of an automobile accident at the age of 19 years.
On February 14, 2011 in Columbia, Missouri he was united in marriage to
Meridith Michaels.
Ryan was employed at Tag in Licking, Missouri. He and Meridith attended
the Round Pond Baptist Church in Salem. In his spare time, he enjoyed
fishing, camping and reading.
He is survived by his wife, Meridith Michaels of Salem, Missouri; his
mother, Lisa Irwin and husband Scott of St. Louis, Missouri and father,
Stephen Pickle; one brother, Douglas Pickle of Arnold, Missouri; one
sister, Tricia Pickle of St. Louis, Missouri; father-in-law, Jeffrey
Michaels of St. Louis, Missouri; aunts and uncles, Janell Stewart of
Cherryville, Missouri, Colleen Wolf and Clifford Michaels; special niece,
Kailley Pickle who Ryan helped raise; and nephews and niece, Logan Pickle,
Jaydin Cole Princivalli and Constance Marie Princivalli; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, May 22, 2012
at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Pastor Lyndell Decker officiating.
Special music of “When I Die Young,” “Temporary Home” and “Celebrate Me
Home” was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Fairclough Cemetery in Cuba,
Missouri.
Casket bearers were Douglas Pickle, Wayne Stewart, Brady Stewart, Larry
Koller, Garrett Pickle and Robert Brown.

Helen Rachel Reiner
Helen Rachel Reiner (nee Copling) of Cuba, Missouri was born to Arthur and
Merl (Mize) Copling on Saturday, December 24, 1927 in Leasburg, Missouri and
passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her home at the age of 84 years 4 months
and 20 days.
Helen was united in marriage to James E. Reiner on August 15, 1948 and to
this union nine children were born.
Helen retired from B&K Manufacturing Company after 25 years of dedicated
service. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Leasburg, Missouri.
Her greatest joy was taking care of her children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking and taking
pictures of everyone in the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Merle Copling;
husband, James E. Reiner; one son, David Reiner; one grandchild, Jamie
Dennis; three great grandchildren, Kyle and Jordan Dennis, Deven O’Neal;
one sister, Hester Land.
She is survived by her eight children, Paul E. Reiner of Cuba, Missouri,
Richard and wife Jennifer Reiner of Cuba, Missouri, Jean Helen Reiner of
Ft. Worth, Texas, Joann Reiner of Cuba, Missouri, Joyce and husband Rick
Walls of Oxford, Alabama, Judy and husband Michael Bouse of Leasburg,
Missouri, Cathy and husband Bob Morse of Cuba, Missouri, Theresa and
husband Steve Barton of Leasburg, Missouri; six brothers and sisters,
Bob Copling of Leasburg, Missouri, Arthur Copling of Wright City, Missouri,
Herbie Copling of Lonedell, Missouri, Ethel Adams of Chicago, Illinois,
Georgie Leibensperger and Geneva Richardson both of St. Clair, Missouri;
24 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 1 p.m. until time of
funeral service 3 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Dunn,
officiating.
Interment followed at the Lea Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri.

Missouri.
Andre Howard Salter
Andrew Howard Salter of Rolla, Missouri was born July 30, 1951 in St. Louis,
Missouri to Vernon and Dorothy (Collins) Salter and passed away Monday,
May 14, 2012 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 60 years.
Andrew graduated from John F. Hodge High School in St. James, Missouri in
He proudly served his country in both the Army Reserves and the U.S.
Navy. He was employed by PCRMC and the Rolla Police Department
He is survived by his significant other, Enza Row of Rolla, Missouri; son,
Major Brian Hill of Florida; brothers, Joe Hughes of California, Myron Hughes
of Texas, David Blaine of California, Jimmie Blaine and wife Jo of
Steelville, Missouri, Paul Salter of Lake Ozarks, Missouri and Vernon
Salter and wife Kathy of St. James, Missouri; special friends, Donna
Williams and husband Chet of Rolla, Missouri, Alice Shockley and Shirley
Hagenhoff of Jefferson City, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at
James & Gahr Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri.
Services were held Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 1 p.m. at James & Gahr
Mortuary in Rolla with Rev. Brian Credille officiating.
Interment was at the Fort Leonard Wood Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood,
Missouri with full military honors.

Vernon Richard “Porky” White
Vernon Richard “Porky” White of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday,
January 2, 1944 at St. James, Missouri to James and Iva (nee Scott) White
and passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at St. Peters, Missouri at the age
of 68 years.
Porky, as he was known by many, was united in marriage to Sharon Monda on
July 6, 1963 at Cuba, Missouri and to this union four children were born.
Porky retired in 2006 from the Teamsters after 30+ years of truck driving.
In his spare time he enjoyed mowing the grass, test driving cars, trucks
and tractors and he would sit for hours drinking coffee or tea and telling
stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Iva White: his aunt and
uncle who raised him, Ruth and EH Oberkrom; brothers, Tom White, Donald
White, Leon and wife Barbara White and Bob White; brothers-in-law, Dean
Northington, Bob Hines, Jim Nelson and Roger Monda; mother-in-law and
father-in-law, Walter and Nellie Monda; and other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Sharon White of the home;
four children, Keven and wife Denise White, Brian and wife Renee White,
Melissa White and Shawn White, all of Cuba, Missouri; eight grandchildren,
Wesley White, Brianna Blankenship, Amber White, Katie White, Nick White,
Mackenzie White, Taylor White and Olivia White; one brother, Frank and wife
Sylvia White of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Dixie Northington of Windsor,
Missouri; sisters-in-law, Lucy White of Springfield, Missouri, Shirley and
husband Charles Kelley of St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Hines of St. Louis,
Missouri and Carol Nelson of St. James, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Buel and
wife Mary Monda of Sullivan, Missouri and Ivan “Bud” Monda of Nashville,

Visitation was Monday, May 14, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral
Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Mizell
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Special music was “I Walk the Line,”
“Daddy’s Hands” and “One Piece at a Time.”
Interment and prayers followed at the Kinder Cemetery.

Missouri.
