MO Local Obituaries for the Week of May 23, 2018 Bruce Dale Angell Bruce Dale Angell of Gerald, Missouri was born on October 14, 1940 to Leslie and Ella (Cope) Angell at Alton, Illinois and passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at the age of 77 years. He married Dixie Marie Mesger on July 9, 1960 at Beaufort, Missouri. Bruce was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, Missouri. He had served his country with the United States Marie Corp. He was a member and president of the Gerald Bridle and Saddle Club. He helped build the MFA Bulk Plant where he was later employed then he worked at Bull Moose at Gerald for 36 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Ella Angell; brothers, Bill, Frank and Chuck Angell; sisters, Mary, Mickey, Katherine, Linda Fay, Margaret and Edna; brothers-in-law, Charles, Ralph, Ollie, Kenny, Gene, Ralph, Sonny, Lester and Joe; and sisters-in-law, Marsha, Margie, June and Shirley. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Angell of the home; children, James Angell and wife Denise of Gerald, Missouri, Rick Angell and wife Lori of Rosebud, Missouri, Sherry Gooch and husband Tim of Gerald, Missouri; brother, John Angell and wife Kathy of Gerald, Missouri; sisters-in-laws, Fay Angell of Leslie, Missouri, Ginny Angell/Kase of Union, Missouri, Connie Angell Luther of Cuba, Missouri and Donna May Prebianca of St. James, Missouri; seven grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Reba Ann Brinkley Reba Ann Brinkley of Jerome, Missouri was born Sunday, November 8, 1942 in Shirley, Arkansas to Tom and Alma (nee Bradford) Hinkle and passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the age of 75 years. Reba married Kenny Joe Brinkley on December 7, 1960 in Farmington, Iowa. Reba worked at Brown Shoe Company, J.C. Penney and as a Phelps County election judge in Jerome, Missouri. However, she was content to take care of her home and her family. She was a devout member of the Apostolic Faith Church of Jerome for 56 years. Reba loved being outdoors. She planted a garden each spring and the flowers in her yard were always beautiful. She spent hours sewing, reading and tending to her plants. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Alma Hinkle; husband, Kenny Joe Brinkley; son-in-law, Keith Peterman; two sisters, Nina Coffee and infant Jessie Maxine Hinkle; one brother, Carl Hinkle; and sister-in-law, Marjie Ann Brinkley. Thelma "Jeanne" Harrouff Thelma "Jeanne" Harrouff of St. James, Missouri was born under the Gasconade River Bridge in Maries County, Missouri on April 3, 1937 to John and Ethel (Williamson) Harrouff and passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Jeanne was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School Class of 1954. With her diploma in hand, and a great recommendation to Laclede Steel Company by Louis Donati, Jeanne set off to St. Louis, Missouri. She was hired for the job and spent the next 33 years selling Laclede wire all over the world. Jeanne loved living in the city, she never married, but loved her life. She enjoyed The Muny, The Fabulous Fox Theater, ice skating n the park and eating out in her favorite restaurants. A few years after retiring Jeanne made the move to St. James, Missouri to be near her sister and her mother. In the more rural setting of St. James, Jeanne adapted well and took up flea marketing and antiquing. She enjoyed the scenery, the birds, the rivers and streams and the trees. Jeanne would drive anywhere but stayed off the main highways so she could enjoy the beauty of the ride. She also was an animal lover, but really preferred cats. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ethel Harrouff. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Keeney and husband Ray of St. James, Missouri; special friends, Gary and Terri Mendenhall; other relatives and friends. Iris Anita Horne Iris Anita Horne of Leasburg, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, as born March 4, 1940 in Crawford County, Missouri to Kenneth Horne and Anita Francis Blair (nee Gilliam) and passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the age of 78 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed being a member of the Christian Motorcycle Organization "Heaven's Angels" and her influence on others. Much of her time was spent riding on her Yamaha motorcycle and driving her 1964 Impala car. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons. She is survived by her six children and five in-law spouses; 1 8 grandchildren with five in-law spouses; 23 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. James Richard Kile James Richard Kile I, formerly of St. James, Missouri, was born on August, 12, 1946 in St. Charles, Missouri to Edgar and Lillian (Bizilli) Kile and passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the age of 71 years. Jim proudly served his country as a medic in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After he returned home he owned a gas station for several years and eventually joined the Teamsters Union as a delivery driver to the adjoining states, retiring from Hostess Bakery. On December 29, 1979 Jim married Gail Kirchner. Although, Jim and Gail may not have physically been in their kids' lives every single day, emotionally they were there every minute of every day. He dreamed of retiring in St. James, Missouri and relaxing in the beauty of its surroundings, where he could be close to the trout streams, or working on his "honey do" list that Gail always had ready or most importantly working on his fantasy baseball or football teams. Jim was always up for a good conversation about sports, politics or religion. Jim particularly loved to "debate" with his long-time friend Bill Brozovich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Lillian Kile; and his wife, Gail. Marion Mike Sbabo Marion Mike Sbabo of St. James, Missouri was born on August 9, 1929 in Rosati, Missouri to John and Rosa Spanvello Sbabo and passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018 at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 5 days. Mike was a farmer and contractor/builder. He enjoyed doing both. He built a lot of homes in St. James, Missouri and surrounding counties. He also loved his cows and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rosa Sbabo; one son, Terry Sbabo; brother, Louis Sbabo; and sisters, Leanilda Funk, Anna Hession, Katherine Taibl, Marie Neuf and Mickey Rutherford. Mabel Sue Wright Mabel Sue Wright, known to most as Doodie, of Sullivan, Missouri, was born in Cuba, Missouri on January 24, 1929 to John Sorrells and Lillian Sorrells (nee Stinson) and passed away on May 17, 2018 at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 23 days. In 1949 she married Virgil Edward Wright. They were married 33 years before his death in 1982. In 1984 she began sharing her life with Edward Bausch and they have been together 34 years. Doodie was a Christian believing in the Lord as her Savior. She had made caring for her home and family her career in life. She loved spending time outdoors and hunting mushrooms in the spring was a favorite hobby. She liked piecing quilts and spending time with her sister as she quilted them. Fishing was another of her favorite pastimes, especially when her children and grandchildren went with her. She and Ed loved to travel the remote country roads and find small restaurants to eat at. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillian Sorrells; her husband, Virgil Wright; one infant daughter, Felicia Wright; two brothers, Merle and Earl Sorrells and three sisters, Mary Rutledge, Freda Hasten and infant Frances Sorrells.
