Charles Thomas Brooks Charles Thomas Brooks of Steelville, Missouri was born on Saturday, April 23, 1938 in Davisville, Missouri to Dannie Amos and Mary Christina (Evans) Brooks and passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the age of 78 years and 26 days. Charles served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He married Billie "Jean" Aden on June 1, 1957. He was a member of "Anglers of Missouri" in Union, Missouri. He was in charge of putting in a large lake in and around Union, Missouri. He owned and operated Seven Cedars Autobody Repair in Steelville from 1972 through 1990, later (1990-2005) called Seven Cedar Enterprises, Satellite TV. He was a very skilled painter. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, wood working, gardening and going to music shows both here and in Branson, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dannie and Mary Brooks; parents-in-law, Bill and Viola Aden; brother, Dale Brooks; sister, Doris Coleman; sisters-in-law Melody Brooks, Mary Aden, and Ann Aden; brother-in-law, Gale Mahurin ; and great grandchildren, Skyler Glore and Sadie Summers. On August 6, 1955 at Cherryville, she married John Edward Hubert. Rosie was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, puzzle books and watching game shows. Doris was united in marriage to Joseph Carl Norris in 1947. They shared 10 children. Doris was a member of the St. James Christian Church. She enjoyed yard sales, shopping, jigsaw puzzles and crocheting. Doris loved decorating her home, mostly with items from Home Interiors. Daniel was a welder for the railroad until he became disabled. When he was able Daniel loved to garden, he also enjoyed movies and spending time with family and friends. He was an owner of Parker Randall and Associates where he was a Food Broker. (Wallie) Strippgen was born August 1, 1922 in Shrewsbury, Missouri and passed away on May 8, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Walt served in World War II from 1943-1949 He started his first medical repair business in 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri. He had his private pilot's license and flew his plane for business and pleasure until 2010. In 1970 Walt moved to Golden, Colorado, where he started his medical instrument business. Walt married Serene (Broberg) in 1972. Walt holds 11 surgical device patents, the last of which he received on his 90th birthday. He was a very prolific poet. In 1989 Walt and Serene moved to a beautiful farm west of Berthoud, Colorado. He was preceded him in death are his parents, Hugo and Martha (Sandau) Strippgen; wife, Serene Strippgen; and one brother, Robert Strippgen. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Lawrence Franklin Studdard Sr. Lawrence Franklin Studdard Sr. was born December 12, 1925 in Sullivan, Missouri to Newton and Bessie Griffth Studdard and passed away Friday, May 13, 2016 at the age of 90 years. On November 1, 1952 in Pea Ridge, Missouri he married Laura Jane Bridgeman. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII and Korean War. Lawrence attended Living Christ Holiness of Ebo, Missouri. He worked in the timber industry all of his life. He always enjoyed hunting, fishing and planting a garden, especially tomatoes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Bessie Studdard; son-in-law, Jim Robb; three brothers, Tracy Studdard and wife Violet, Charles Studdard and wife Marie and Harold Studdard; and three sisters, Zelda Bailey and husband Robert, Frances and Rilla Studdard.
