Dorf of Cuba, Mo. was born on January 2, 1963 in Sullivan, Mo. to Spencer Roosevelt Dorf and Joyce Ann Davis Dorf. He passed away at St. John's Mercy Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. on May 21, 2003 at the age of 40 years, 4 months and 19 days. Ned married Tammy Weaver on July 27, 1989 in Steelville, Mo. and to this union two children were born. Ned served honorably in the United States Navy for four years. He was later employed by Meramec Electrical Products in Quality Assurance for 12 years at Cuba, Mo. Ned was an avid sports fan of football, softball, golf, horseracing, NASCAR, and especially baseball. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Ned was preceded in death by his father Spencer Dorf, one brother Phil Dorf, father-in-law Charlie Weaver, and brother-in-law Dewayne Weaver. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Tammy, children Shelby LeAnn Dorf, age 11 years, and Colby Lane Dorf, age 8 year, all of the home; mother Joyce Dorf of Cuba, Mo.; mother-in-law Elsie Weaver of Steelville, Mo.; brothers Robert Dorf of Steelville, Mo., Davis Dorf of Kremmling, Colorado; sisters, Judy Chinners (Larry) of Caseyville, Illinois, Penny Sanders (Jerry), Lois Dorf, all of Fenton, Mo., Jeanette Green (Bill) of Springfield, Mo., and Nanette Dorf of Cuba, Mo.; sister-in-laws and brothers-in-laws James "Bo" Weaver (Chris), Tim Weaver, all of Steelville, Mo., Kay Becker (Dan) of Ballwin, Mo., Anna Staples (Ken), Kim Weaver, all of Cuba, Mo., Brenda Marz (Robert) of Rolla, Mo.; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Edith Irene Hedrick Edith Irene Hedrick nee Kriegbaum was born Tuesday, April 14, 1936, at Richwoods, Missouri, daughter of the late Frank Kriegbaum and Myrtle Kriegbaum nee Fredenburg. She entered eternal rest Monday, May 19, 2003, at Salem, Missouri, at the age of 67 years, 1 month, and 5 days. In 1960, Edith was united in marriage to Orville Hedrick and they enjoyed over 42 years together. In addition to her parents, two sons Clifford Hedrick and Orvin Hedrick preceded Edith in death. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband, Orville Hedrick of Boss, Missouri; four sons, Frank Hedrick and wife Sarafina of Viburnum, Missouri, Wayne and Ronnie Hedrick both of Hancock, Wisconsin, and Robert Hedrick of Bonne Terre, Missouri; four daughters, Eva Dixon of Payson, Arizona, Sue Durrant and husband Mark of Hancock, Wisconsin, Barbara Sturdevant and husband Matt also of Hancock, and Linda Hayes and husband Herbert of Lincoln, Pennsylvania. Carol Helvey Carol Helvey nee Walker was born January 1, 1944 in Mary Ridge, Missouri and passed away May 18, 2003 at her residence in Portage Des Sioux, Missouri at the age of 59 years. Carol was a secretary in the metal industry, working for Vincent Metals for over 31 years. She was preceded in death by her father Orville Walker, and sister-in-law Penny Walker of St. Ann, Missouri. Those who survive to mourn her passing are her husband Louis Earl Helvey of Portage Des Sioux, Missouri; her mother Ruth Walker of Louisiana, Missouri; step daughter Mary Kennedy and husband Ken of Albertson, North Carolina; step son Ronald L. Helvey and wife Elaine of Schaumberg, Illinois. Three brothers Robert Walker of St. Ann, Missouri, Richard Walker of Louisiana, Missouri, and Donald Walker and wife Alice of Foley, Missouri; grandson Kenneth Kennedy of Albertson, North Carolina; and granddaughter Kimberly Wells of Albertson, North Carolina. Charles Thomas Mull Charles Thomas Mull of Cuba, Missouri was born on June 27, 1918 in Hardin County, Illinois to Louis Mull and Mary Price Mull. He passed away at his home on May 21, 2003 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 24 days. Charles was married to Helen Evelyn Smith on January 6, 1945 in Venice Illinois and three children were born to this union. Charles was a steam fitter welder in construction for Local 33 based in Des Moines, Iowa. From there, he traveled all over the country doing his trade. He enjoyed going to gun shows, turkey shoots and sporting goods stores. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved his dogs. Charles was a member of the Local 33 Union and the VFW. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Helen, brother Leslie Mull, great grandchildren Alyssa Brown and Jeffery Harris II. Those who remain to mourn his passing are his daughters Mary Brown and husband Rodney, Patty Brown and husband Richard, his son Thomas Mull and wife Judy all of Cuba, Missouri. Ray of Leasburg, Missouri was born on May 16, 1910 at Leasburg, Missouri to the union of William Ray and Dora Ellen (Kenworthy) Ray and passed away at the Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, Missouri on May 19, 2003 at the age of 93 years and three days. On March 4, 1933 Harold was united in marriage to Lucille H. Brewer at Leasburg, Missouri. They have been happily married for 70 years. One son, Harold, and three daughters, Gail, Joan and Jean, were born to this union. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Eulah Eaton and Golden Puckett; two brothers, Cecil and Clarence Ray; one daughter, Jean Ray; and one son-in-law, Edwin Woodruff. Harold was a long time resident of Leasburg, Missouri, a member of the Crossroads Baptist Church and for many years was in charge of the Crossroads Cemetery at Leasburg, Missouri. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife Lucille H. Ray of the home in Leasburg; one son Harold M. Ray and wife Dorothy of Potosi, Missouri; two daughters, Joan Woodruff of Bourbon, Missouri and Gail Stephens and husband Neil of Leasburg, Missouri. Sarah Ann Webb Sarah Ann Webb nee Brakefield was born Tuesday, May 8, 1928, at Berryman, Missouri, a daughter of the late Monrow Brakefield and Goldie (Dicus) Brakefield. She entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 17, 2003, in the Gibbs Care Center of Steelville, Missouri at the age of 75 years and nine days. Sarah Ann was united in marriage to Dale Robert Webb with one son and six daughters being born to this union. Sarah Ann and Dale enjoyed many years of marriage together until Dale's passing on August 11, 1995. In addition to Sarah Ann's husband and parents, six brothers, Kenneth Lee Brakefield, Clymer Brakefield, Lindell Brakefield, Craig Brakefield, Earl Brakefield and Bill Brakefield preceded her in death. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are one son and six daughters, Carol Sue Maledy of Salem, Missouri, Marita Mae Shockley of Bland, Missouri, Bobby Jo Smashey of Columbia, Missouri, Jimmy Dale Webb and wife Vicki, Kimberly Sue Webb, Greta Ray and husband Randy, all of Steelville, Missouri, and Christy Smith of Kansas City, Missouri. One brother, Dick Brakefield and wife Pat of Potosi, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Leona Brakefield of Cuba, Missouri; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Sarah Ann Webb lay in state 2-9 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003 in the Britton Chapel with Brother A.F. Roberdes officiating. Jim Webb honored his mother with the eulogy. Pianist Rita Eaton, vocalist Brenda Brooks and Melinda Medlock provided musical selections. Committal prayers and interment were in the Shoal Creek Cemetery, rural Steelville, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Jim and Christy Webb, Randy and Greta Ray, Carol Maledy, Brian Webb, Sharon Webb and Vanessa Gandy. Honorary pallbearers were Kim Webb and Dick Brakefield. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri. Albert W. Wilmarth Albert W. Wilmarth of St. Louis, Missouri was born on February 12, 1913 to the union of George Perry Wilmarth and Flora (Holihan) Wilmarth at Aberdeen, South Dakota and passed away on May 18, 2003 at the Delmar Gardens West Nursing Home, St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 90 years 3 months and 6 days. On June 10, 1941, Albert was united in marriage to June M. Norby at Manda, South Dakota. Four sons, Paul, Tim, Peter, and George, and one daughter, Susan were born to this union. They were happily married until June preceded Albert in death on June 20, 1996. Albert was also preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Alice Valder and Mary Offerdahl. Albert graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He later received his MBA from the St. Louis University. He was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church in 1991. He served at Holy Cross Parish in Cuba, Missouri until 1996. He was also a member of Holy Cross Church of Cuba and the Knights of Columbus and served on the Cemetery Association. A veteran of World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy, retiring as a commander. Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his daughter and son-in-law, Susan Bowles and husband Mike of St. Louis, Missouri; four sons and daughters-in-law, George and Melba Wilmarth of Cape Girardeau, Tim and Kathy Wilmarth of Doha, Qatar, Peter and Marie Wilmarth of Madison, Wisconsin and Paul and Jill Wilmarth of St. Louis, Missouri. 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Albert was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, good friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Funeral mass was held on Friday, May 23, 2003 at the Holy Cross Church, Cuba, Missouri, at 10 a.m. with Father James Finder officiating. Interment was in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. Memorials may be given to the June Wilmarth Memorial Children's Clothing Fund.
