MO Local Obituaries for the Week of May 28, 2008 Chester Frank Dondero Chester Frank Dondero of Sullivan, Missouri was born on August 21, 1919 in Sacramento, California to Lester Frank and Gertrude (nee Meshka) Dondero. He passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the age of 88 years. After high school, he honorably served his country during WWII in the US Army. He was in the Aleutian Islands Campaign, Marshals Island Campaign, Philippine Island Campaign and Okinawa Campaign where he earned a purple heart and six bronze service stars. He knew Barbara Sanchez nearly all of his life and the two were married on February 19, 1994 in Cuba, Missouri. Chester enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinal Baseball Team and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Sanchez) Dondero of the family home; a daughter, Donna Bardero and husband Carlo; step children, Ronald Senkirk of New York, Marsha King of Sullivan, Missouri, Steve Hughes and friend Martha of St. Clair, Missouri, Mark Hughes and wife Linda of Leasburg, Missouri, Matt Hughes and wife Michelle of St. Clair, Missouri; grandchildren, Richard Johnson and wife Tracy of Phoenix, Arizona, Michael Hughes; great grand- children, Tierney and Abigail Johnson; niece Carol Thorton and husband Richard of California; nephew, Gary Bell and wife Pricilla of Virginia; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy Bell. Visitation was held Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the Sullivan Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2008 at Meramec Hills Memorial Garden in Cuba, Missouri with full military honors. Dollie Marie England Dollie Marie England, nee Jones, of Fenton, Missouri, was born on Janaury 15, 1937 to Arthur A. Jones and Eura Sara Oxendine Jones. She passed away in her home on Monday, May 19, 2008 at the age of 71 years, 4 months and 4 days. Dollie married Curtis England on October 18, 1953 and to this union three boys were born. She worked many years as a quality control inspector for Accu Glass, a Becton Dickinson Corp. Following the Lord in baptism she attended Christ Church Protestant Episcopal Cathedral in St. Louis, Missouri. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, dancing, listening to country music, traveling, especially out to the country and most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Daphane (William) Janus and brother, Arthur “Chick” Jones; brothers-in-law, Glen (Bonnie) England, Doc Halbert, Jack England and Lytle “Jr.” England; sisters-in-law, Nina (Lee) Waller and Joan England. She is survived by her husband of the home; children, Robert England and Roger England, all of Fenton, Missouri and Leslie England of Cattawissa, Missouri; brother, Ernie Jones of Cedar Hill, Missouri and sister, Ruth (Bill) Collier of Cherryville, Missouri; sisters-in-law, Vera Jones, of Cherryville, Missouri, Ina Halbert and Mary Lou England, all of Steelville, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Kermit (Marie) England and Loftus England, all of Fenton, Missouri; six grandchildren, Virginia Selby, Richard, Amy, Ashley, Nicholas and Emily England; one great grandchild, Dade Selby; other relatives and friends. All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri Margaret Frye Margaret Clara Frye, nee Isam, of Bourbon, Missouri, was born on February 18, 1916 to the late Joe and Tina (Swanson) Isam in Bourbon, Missouri. She passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the age of 92 years and 3 months. On May 12, 1936 she was united in marriage to Harmon Frye in St. Louis, Missouri. Margaret and Harmon moved to the Cuba area in 1975 and later to the Bourbon area. She was employed at Carter Carburetor, where was worked for 35 years. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, gardening and she loved her dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Jimmy Frye; five brothers, Joseph Isam, George Isam, Jim Isam, Paul Isam and Lloyd Isam and two sisters, Pearl Isam and Pat Volz. She is survived by one brother, Donald Isam of St. Louis, Missouri; 11 nieces and nephews, Kathy Corson of Sullivan, Missouri, Bill Corson and wife Tammy of Bourbon, Missouri, Eddie Volz of Leasburg, Missouri, Cindy Bruning and husband Doug of Leasburg, Missouri, Bobby Volz of Leasburg, Missouri, Tom Smith of Sullivan, Missouri, Donnie Isam of Denver, Colorado, Paula Rosenhoffer and husband Robert of Iowa, Joseph Michael Isam of St. Louis, Missouri, Ronnie Isam of California and Barbara Wright of California; 11 great nieces and nephews, Joe Smith and wife Brenda of Union, Missouri, Christena Griffith of Union, Missouri, Patsy Smith of Sullivan, Missouri, B.J. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home. Daniel A. Givens Daniel A. Givens of Leasburg, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, October 7, 1943 to John F. Givens and Ellis M. Meyer Givens. He passed away at his home on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the age of 64 years, 7 months and 10 days. Daniel worked in the trucking industry as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed meeting and visiting with fellow truck drivers and friends at truck stops. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Givens. He is survived by his cousins, Douglas A. Hopkins and wife Lydia of Kirkwood, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Burial in the Oak Lawn Cemetery, Paducah, Kentucky. All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Scott Michael Jones Scott Michael Jones of Cuba, Missouri was born in Livonia, Michigan on March 10, 1962, the son of Philip and Christine (Len) Jones. He passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the age of 46 years. He was a member of UAW Local 1760. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994 and by a brother, Gary Jones. His survivors include his mother of Livonia, Michigan and his sister Suzanne Jones of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri. Interment in the Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville, Missouri.
