MO Local Obituaries for the Week of June 1, 2016 Stafford Simuon Boxx Jr. Stafford Simuon Boxx Jr., known to all as Skeeter, of Steelville, Missouri, (formerly St. Clair, Missouri) was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 7, 1982 to Stafford Simuon Boxx Sr. and Janet Lee Boxx (nee Brazzle) and passed away May 18, 2016 at the age of 33 years, 7 months and 11 days. Skeeter was a Christian believing in the Lord as his Savior. Skeeter had grown up in the St. Clair area and attended St. Clair Public Schools. As a adult, he had lived in Steelville, Missouri for many years. For about a year he was employed as a mixer at Mar-Bal Inc., a fiberglass molding factory in Cuba, Missouri. Skeeter's favorite past-time was listening to music and he was usually singing along. He also liked to go fishing and camping. Barbequing with his family and friends was always a great time. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Boxx Chura; and by one son, Stoney Stafford Boxx. He is survived by his father, Stafford Simuon Boxx Sr. and wife Cindy of St. Clair, Missouri; grandparents, Carolyn and Lindell Boxx of St. Clair, Missouri; six children, Taylor Boxx Murphy of St. Louis, Missouri, Alexis Boxx, Gabriel Boxx, Lilly Boxx, Stafford W. Boxx and Owen Boxx, all of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters, Jennifer Hewkin and husband Jason of Cuba, Missouri and Jessica Davis and husband Bradley of Owensville, Missouri; two step-sisters, Debbie Moses and husband Ron of Potosi, Missouri and Evelyn Bergner and husband Bill of Bourbon, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri with Rev. Jim Watson officiating. Loretta Ann Chepely Loretta Ann Chepely of Bourbon, Missouri was born at St. Louis, Missouri on March 15, 1933 to Arthur and Agnes Bell and passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016 at the age of 83 years. She was raised in the St. Louis, Missouri area and had later left her schooling to find work to help support her family. Being a wife of a military husband, she and her family lived in many places around the country and the world. On April 19, 1952 she married Charles Chepely Sr. at Saint Anthony Catholic Church in St. Louis, Missouri and to this marriage six children were born. Loretta came to the Bourbon area in 2011 and was a member of Saint Francis Catholic Church of Bourbon, Missouri. She was known to have a cheerful disposition, and enjoyed the many activities at Saint Francis Parish. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Agnes Bell; husband, Charles of May 1979; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Deborah Chepely; sister, Agnes Bell, and sister-in-law, Rosemary Bell. She is survived by her children, Joseph Chepely and wife Lynn of Villa Ridge, Missouri, Anthony Chepely of St. Clair, Missouri, Douglas Chepely and wife Allison of Leasburg, Missouri, Ann Chepely and life partner Sharon Hopwood of Bourbon, Missouri, Charles Chepely Jr. and wife Emma of Bourbon, Missouri; one sister, Virginia Cochran and husband James of Montgomery City, Missouri; one brother, Arthur Bell of Warrenton, Missouri; eight grand- children; 16 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Gloria "Ann" Coombs Gloria "Ann" Coombs (nee Delashmet) of Steelville, Missouri was born on April 2, 1947 in Parma, Missouri to Howell and Ava Delashmet and passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at the age of 69 years. in Naples, Florida. Ann was employed at Southeast Bank of Naples, Florida for 17 years. In 1986 her family moved to Steelville, Missouri. She became 1988 until 2012 when she retired. She had been a member of the First Baptist Church in Steelville, Missouri for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howell and Ava Delashmet; two brothers, John Delashmet and Jerry Delashmet and wife Shelby; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Delashmet; and two nephews, Colon Moore and Anthony Moore. She is survived by her children, Angela Kaltenbach and husband Tony and Leland Coombs Jr., all of Steelville, Missouri and Lisa Graham and husband Randy of Naples, Florida; one sister, Lois Carden and husband Richard of Steelville, Missouri; brothers, Ancil Delashmet of Gaffney, South Carolina, Howell Delashmet Jr. and wife Margaret of Kenansville, Florida and Roger Delashmet and wife Eva of Naples, Florida; sister-in-law, Carole Delashmet of Naples, Florida; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Karen Marie Dunn Karen Marie Dunn (nee Becker) of Cuba, Missouri was born November 27, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to Dennis Becker and Gloria Brinkley Becker and passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the age of 49 years. In 1983 she was united in marriage to Michael Wayne Dunn Sr. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Brinkley. She worked at the St. James Schools as a cook for many years and at many local restaurants. She liked to watch birds, to sew, cooking and to take car rides and just see the country. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Bessie Cox; one infant brother, James Marion Cox; one sister, Lenore Harthimmer and brother-in-law, Lloyd Harthimmer. Larry Louis Schneider Larry Louis Schneider of Beaufort, Missouri was born in Washington on November 27, 1948, to Benjamin and Della (Eggert) Schneider and passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the age of 67 years, 5 months and 28 days. On June 5, 1971 he married Georgia Gawer in Owensville, Missouri. She passed away in 2000. On June 29, 2013 at the White Mule Winery in Owensville, Missouri he married Joyce Cook. In 1973 he earned a Bachelor Degree from UMR in Rolla, Missouri. He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Owensville and the University of Missouri Extension of Phelps County. He was manager at Coachlight Inn of Rolla, Missouri for 16 years; worked at Memoryville USA in Rolla, Missouri for 17 years restoring automobiles there as well as in his own shop. In later years he enjoyed spending time with the St. Peter's Wine Group; going with family on wine trails; loved traveling and enjoyed trips with Joyce to Hawaii and the Bahamas. He enjoyed cars and Allis Chalmers tractors and enjoyed just sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee with the warmth of the sunshine and watching the hummingbirds. He is survived by his wife, Joyce of the home; son, Chris Schneider of St. James, Missouri; step children, Melissa Bestgen and husband Brent of Owensville, Missouri and Crystal Harbath and husband, Dennis of Newburgh, Indiana; sister, Doris AufderHeide and husband Donald of Owensville, Missouri; granddaughter, Savannah Harbath; nephew, Jonathan AufderHeide of Owensville, Missouri; niece, Jennifer Hamilton and husband Jimmy of Columbia; other relatives and friends. Ruth Elizabeth Turnbough Ruth Elizabeth Turnbough (nee Morrison) of Steelville, Missouri was born on Friday, July 18, 1930 in Cherryville, Missouri to John "Everette" and Elsie (Callahan) Morrison and passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 5 days. Ruth accepted the Lord early in life. Later in her life, she married Eugene Wesley Turnbough. She was a hard worker in the food industry first as a waitress and later owning restaurants. She liked to relax by taking car rides and driving. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everette and Elsie Morrison; husband, Eugene Turnbough; sisters, Mildred (Edward) Woodrum, Nina (Howard) Setzer, Ina (William "Bill") Eaton; brothers Kenneth (Verla) Morrison and Clarence (Marriam) Morrison; and brother-in-law Herb Whorton. She is survived by her son, John Hutchison of Steelville, Missouri; sister, Lorraine Whorton of Otto, Missouri; grandson, Robert Garrison of Kansas City, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
