Bryan William Doney
Bryan William Doney, of Sullivan, Missouri, was born March 24, 1955 in
Wakefield, Michigan to Robert W. and Donna Faye (nee Haskins) Doney and
passed away Sunday, May 24, 2009 at the age of 54 years.
Bryan loved the river and water skiing. He was a “big hearted” man who
would give his last dollar to someone if he knew they needed it. He was fond
of pets, especially his dog, Gracie.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dee London-Doney; his mother, Donna
Doney; brother, Robert C. Doney and step daughter, Angel Abrams.
He is survived by a son, Shawn Shelton of Poplar Bluff, Missouri;
daughters, Briana Doney of Lynn, Missouri and Tiffany Doney of Cuba,
Missouri; step son, Ron Pilkenton and wife Susan of Sullivan, Missouri;
father, Robert W. Doney and wife Doris of Carlsbad, New Mexico; brothers,
Brett Doney and wife Tammy of LaFollette, Tennessee and Chris Doney and
wife Lisa of Winfield, Missouri; sister, Sheryl L. Keen and husband E.G. of
Jacksboro, Tennessee; special nephew, Sean Doney; other nieces and nephews;
eight grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Sullivan
Christian Church with Pastor Jeff Bent officiating.

Laura Bernice Hagler
Laura Bernice (Koby) Hagler was born September 19, 1916 to Roy and Lucy
Watkins in Jonesburg, Missouri and passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at
Westbrook Terrace Assisted Living in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age
of 92 years.
Laura was married to Harry James Koby on March 27, 1937 He preceded her in
death in 1985.
Laura was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church for many years. She
resided at Indian Hills Lake where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.
Laura married Frank J. Hagler in Cuba, Missouri in 1986. He currently resides
at Community Manor in Farmington, Missouri with Alzheimer’s.
They moved to Jefferson City and lived at Heisinger Bluffs then moved to
Westbrook Terrace the last few years they were able to be together.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Reece Watkins.
She is survived by two children, James Koby and wife Shearon of Camdenton,
Missouri and Joanne and husband Tom Winters of Jefferson City, Missouri;
four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and one great great grand-
daughter.
Visitation was held Monday, June 1, 2009 beginning at 11 a.m. at Britton
Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri then followed by a graveside service at
1 p.m. at Meramec Hills Cemetery with Pastor Paul Lathum, officiating.

Missouri.
Lawrence “Moe” E. Ledbetter
Lawrence E. “Moe” Ledbetter of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday,
December 6, 1924 at St. Louis, Missouri to Kirby and Eva Lee (nee Laramore)
Ledbetter and passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at Cuba, Missouri at the
age of 84 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Moe was a wire cutter for Ludlow Saylor in St. Louis, Missouri for forty
plus years. He was a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge #5 and he enjoyed fishing
and bowling in his spare time.
He was united in marriage on January 26, 1975 to Joyce G. Martin at
Clayton, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Eva Ledbetter;
granddaughter René Meyers; niece, Elizabeth “Betsy” Barnes; other relatives
and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ledbetter of the home; four step sons,
Jerry Martin and friend Gail Stuart of Cuba, Missouri, Tony Meyers of
Owensville, Missouri, Victor Meyers of Cuba, Missouri and Patrick Meyers
and friend Sue Warner of St. Louis, Missouri; one sister, Marjorie and
husband Walter Rhoten of St. Louis, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Elmo and
wife Vesta Martin of St. Louis, Missouri; seven step grandchildren Jennifer
Mayberry, Tara Martin, Tim Martin, Vince Meyers, Sara Proffer, Jennifer and
husband Brad Ray and Crystal Proffer; many step great grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, May 29, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Britton
Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was on Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Britton Funeral
Home with Pastor Bob Knight, officiating.
Interment in the Asher Cemetery, St. James, Missouri.

Leona Marlow
Leona Marlow of Leasburg, Missouri, was born August 4, 1952 in St. Louis,
Missouri to Vernon and Catherine (nee Lichtfus) Leisler and passed away
Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the age of 56 years.
She married Larry E. Marlow on December 15, 1976 in St. Louis, Missouri.
She like fishing and collecting “pig memorabilia.” She enjoyed working in
the yard and being outdoors. She worked at the Sullivan Hospital and
Walmart until ill health forced her to quit.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Marlow of the home; four children,
Floyd Edward Marlow and fiancée Stevie Markham, Ronald Keith Watkins and
wife Tracey and David Glen Watkins and wife Brandy and Christine Anderson
and husband Brian; brothers, Vernon Arthur, Timothy Ronald and John Carroll
Leisler; sisters, Mary Jane Storey, Verna Lee Stout and husband Arthur and
Rosemary Treece and husband Bill; brother-in-law, Jody Ray Marlow;
15 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Southside Chapel
of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
John W. Ryerson
John W. Ryerson, of Sullivan, Missouri was born on February 18, 1930 in
Bourbon, Missouri to Jess and Ruby (nee Winters) Ryerson and passed away
Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the age of 79 years.
He married Helen Junkerman on December 25, 1950 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
John worked for many years as a window washer on commercial high-rise
buildings in St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed fishing and fixing things, going
to auctions and yard sales and playing poker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Ruby Ryerson; his wife,
Helen; two sons, John and Jess Ryerson and three brothers, Russell, Louis
and Donald Ryerson.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Ryerson of Sullivan, Missouri and Donald
Ryerson and wife Tammy of Owensville, Missouri; sister, Betty Pennock and
husband Lloyd of Bourbon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Brigetta Barrera,
Natasha Solis, Johnny and Lucas Ryerson, Justin and Sara Koppelmann, Jason,
Adam and Kelsey Ryerson; eight great grandchildren; other relatives and
friends.
Services were Saturday, May 20, 2009 at the Southside Chapel of the Eaton
Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri, with Pastor Scott Perry officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Delores M. Turner
Delores “Dee” Marion Turner of Steelville, Missouri was born Monday,
November 9, 1931 at St. Louis, Missouri to Reginald and Marion Louise
(nee McGavock) DeVydt and passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Sullivan,
Missouri at the age of 77 years, 6 months and 19 days.
Dee worked in St. Louis at a book binding company many years. Before
retiring she worked as a cook at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville. She was
a member of Elayer Pentecostal Church of Steelville for many years.
Dee enjoyed fishing but what she enjoyed most in life was her family and
spending time with them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reginald and Marion DeVydt;
other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Daniel Turner of the home; four sons, Edward
and wife Bonnie Hemby of Cuba, Missouri, Bill and wife Sue Hemby of
Jefferson City, Missouri, Jack and wife wife Janet Hemby of Dexter, Missouri
and Gary and wife Rita Hemby of Wentzville, Missouri; four step children,
Gladine Turner of Steelville, Missouri, Daniel Turner of Cuba, Missouri,
Preston and wife Laura Turner of Cherryville, Missouri and Rodger Turner
of Cuba, Missouri; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grand-
children, step great grandchildren; half brother, Donald; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at Britton Funeral Home
of Cuba, Missouri with Pastor John Ripley officiating. Special music
“I’ll Fly Away” and I’ll Call it Home” was provided by Dave and Bonnie
Callahan.
Interment followed at the Old Dillard Cemetery, Dillard, Missouri.

Alma P. Wiles
Alma P. Wiles of Sullivan, Missouri was born February 10, 1919 in Sullivan,
Missouri to William and Stella (Thornton) Littrell and passed away Friday,
May 22, 2009 at the age of 90 years.
On September 9, 1933 she was united in marriage to Charles Arthurs Wiles in
Peuen, Missouri.
Alma was a member of New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles after 62 years together;
granddaughter, Cheryl Hazelwood; great grandson, Jason Schroer; two
brothers, Ernest and Andrew Littrell and a sister, Virginia.
She is survived by one son, Arthur M. Wiles and wife Donna of Ft. Worth,
Texas; one daughter, Myrna E. Lang and husband James of Gray Summit, Missouri;
three brothers, Lawrence Littrell and wife Helen of Pacific, Missouri,
Charles Littrell and wife Shizuko of Terre Haute, Indiana and Larry Littrell
and wife Rose of O’Fallon, Missouri; three sisters, Alice Almung of Pacific,
Missouri, Norma Capastro and husband Joseph of Eureka, Missouri and Ethel
Lambeth of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dennis Wiles of
Sullivan, Missouri, Crista Wiles of Ft. Worth, Texas, Debra Logan and
husband Terry, Kyle Lang and wife Ann and Chris Lange, all of Gray Summit,

officiating.
Interment was in the Brush Creek Cemetery, Gray Summit, Missouri.

Effie “Midge” Myrtle Frost Grimm
Effie “Midge” Myrtle Frost Grimm was born July 2, 1907, in Bland, Missouri
to Edward and Ida Jane (Brewer) Reynolds and passed away May 27, 2009 in
Rolla, Missouri at the age of 101.
She lived her life as a Christian and was a member of Ridgeview Christian
Church. She was also a lifetime member of the American Legion and the VFW.
She owned and ran two grocery stores, a bakery, several rental houses, a
horse/chicken farm, and a cab company, she also once worked as a dispatcher
for the Rolla Police Department.
She was also a talented painter and once held a show of her paintings at
the Rolla Public Library.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Winder, Archie Frost, and
Lloyd Grimm; daughter, Betty J. (Frost) Good; sons, Hugh E. Winder and
Earl C. Winder; and her parents.
She is survived by her son, “Jack” Archie Patrick Frost and wife Linda of
Rolla, Missouri; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and five great
great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from 9-11 a.m.
Services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at James and Gahr
Mortuary in Rolla, Missouri with Rev. Gary Bartle and Rev. Danny Kemp
officiating.
Pallbearers were Chris Frost, Nick Frost, Patrick Frost, Jeff Frost, Jason
Frost and Mark Janos.
All arrangements are under the direction of James & Gahr Mortuary of Rolla,
Missouri.
Karen Colleen Light
Karen Colleen Light of St. James, Missouri was born on November 13, 1940 in
Harvel, Missouri to Lynes Eddie and Eunice (Hurt) Dwinell and passed away in
St. John’s Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri on May 25, 2009 at the age
of 68 years, 6 months, and 12 days of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lynes Eddie and Eunice (Hurt)
Dwinell; one grandson, Josha Pankey and one infant son, Thomas Light.
She is survived by one son, James Light and wife JoAnn of St. James,
Missouri; three daughters, Barbara Pankey and husband Eugene, Sandra Parsons
and husband Ronald, and Lola Juern and husband Ken, all of St. James,
Missouri; three brothers, Eddie Gene Dwinell, Calvin Ray Dwinell, and
Lonnie Dale Dwinell, all of Hillsboro, Missouri; five sisters, JenLea
Stogsdill of St. Louis, Missouri, Erlene Dwinell of Hillsboro, Missouri,
Sharon Louise Bingaman of Pacific, Missouri, Patricia Hoy of Salem, Missouri
and Lola Thebeau of DeSoto, Missouri; several grandchildren and numerous
great grandchildren.
Visitation was Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 10 a.m. until time of funeral at
2 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Jones Funeral
Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Reverend Mick Thrasher officiating.
Pallbearers were John Warren, Donald Pankey, Rick Parsons, Clifford Pankey,
Sergio Alba, and James Rock. Burial was in the family plot in the Pankey
Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri.
All arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in
St. James, Missouri.
Irene Esther Parry
Irene Esther Parry of St. James, Missouri was born April 4, 1919, in Rolla,
Missouri to Frederick and Helen Haas Sachs and passed away Saturday,
May 24, 2009, in Rolla, at the age of 90 years, 1 month, and 20 days.
Irene was united in marriage to Wilber Parry on June 10, 1942, and to this
union two children were born.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rolla. She was also very
active in the Busy Bee Quilting Club, Peace and Plenty Garden Club, and was
the secretary of the Asher Cemetery.
She was an avid gardener who was always ready to share the nice crop of
vegetables she reaped from her beautiful gardens. She loved to cook and
always canned from her garden to make sure her family could share in her
fresh vegetables throughout the year.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilber in January of
1986, and daughter, Pamela Sue.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Tilford, of St. James, Missouri;
grandchildren, Nathaniel Tilford and his wife Angela, and Sarena Langston
and her husband Garrett; and great grandchildren, Aidan and Alek Tilford.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 27, 2009.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 in the St. James
Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Stephan Kamprath
officiating.
Interment in the Asher Cemetery.
