William Haskell “Hack” Blunt
William Haskell “Hack” Blunt of Cuba, Missouri was born to James
William and Anna (James) Blunt on November 20, 1924 in Steelville,
Missouri and passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the age of
88 years.
Hack was united in marriage to Madeline Eleanor Dalton on
July 20, 1946 and to this union three children were born.
Hack retired from Mace Supermarket as a meat cutter after many years
of dedicated service. He proudly served his country in the U.S.
Navy during WWII and was a former member of the Cuba Volunteer Fire
Dept. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, woodworking and was
known for his Christmas decorations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Blunt;
wife, Madeline Eleanor (Dalton) Blunt and one brother, Jim Blunt.
He is survived by his three children, Butch Blunt of St. James,
Missouri, Sandy and husband Jack Hansel of St. Louis, Missouri and
Dori and husband Norman Mar of Cuba, Missouri; one sister, Betty
Tallman of Lebanon, Indiana; six grandchildren; eight great grand-
children; one to be great great grandchild; other relatives and
friends.
Memorial visitation was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 1-2 p.m.
at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Memorial service was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at
the Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace, officiating.
Hack gifted his body to Washington University School of Medicine,
so that research may continue.

Hallie Mae Bouse
Hallie Mae Bouse nee Ives, of Tipton, Missouri, formerly of
Steelville, Missouri, was born on Friday, April 2, 1926 in Cherry
Valley, Missouri to Seldon and Lena Wright Ives and passed away
Friday, May 31, 2013 at the age of 87 years, 1 month and 29 days.
Hallie married Luther G. Bouse on April 23, 1949 in Licking, Missouri
and to this union two children were born.
She enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and especially spending time
with her family. She rode with Lute on his mail route the last four
years of his life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Seldon and Lena Ives;
husband, Luther; brothers, Edward (Belle) Ives, Delmar Ives, Harliss
(Hazel) Ives, Wilma Ottmer, Don (Marcella) Ives and Ansley Ives;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hershel Kaysinger, Chuck Bouse,
Bill (JoAnn) Bouse, Jack Bouse, Pete Bouse, Dick Bouse, Ronnie Bouse,
Verna (Armin) Ayers, Eileen (Jerry) Winer, and Vera Lee (Buster)
Hewkin.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Pamela) Bouse of Sunset Hills,
Missouri and Janet (Joe) Brockman of Stover, Missouri; sisters,
Marvell Kaysinger of St. Louis, Missouri and Jean Belt of Cuba,
Missouri; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bernice Ives of
Florissant, Missouri, Betty Perrigue, Tom (Ruby) Bouse of Cuba,
Missouri, Jane Bouse and Joyce Bouse of Steelville, Missouri; grand-
daughter, Katy (Matthew) Clifford of Tipton, Missouri; great grandson,
Ian Henry Clifford of Tipton, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. and funeral
service at 6:30 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri
with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.
Burial Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Fairview Cemetery,
Butts, Missouri.

Delbert Eugene Wyatt Bridgeman
Delbert Eugene Wyatt Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas formerly of Cuba,
Missouri was born on Saturday, November 7, 1964 at Sullivan, Missouri
to the union of Carl and Betty (nee Morris) Bridgeman and left from
this life Friday, May 24, 2013 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of
48 years.
Delbert was united in marriage to Peggy Hickock on June 14, 2002.
He is the proud father of Linsey, Jeffrey “Kale” and Frank.
Delbert spent 30+ years working in construction. He could build
anything and everything from commercial to residential. He enjoyed
being in the country hunting deer, turkey, dove, pheasant and rabbits
and would spend hours fishing. He was always telling stories and
jokes, helping family and friends; he liked Old Western movies
and good comedy. What was most important to Delbert was family and
spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins
and other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas;
three children, Linsey Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas, Jeffrey “Kale”
and friend Kirstien Davis of Altamont, Kansas and Frank and wife
Heather Pousher of Parsons, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Anthony,
Dakota, Jeremy, Trevor, Jayden, Paityn, Kaelyn; parents, Carl and
Betty Bridgeman of Chetopa, Kansas; two brothers, Bill Morris of
Joplin, Missouri and Lester Ray Bridgeman of Cherryville, Kansas;
two sisters, Pam Palmer of Cherryville, Kansas, Sherry and husband
Howard Hester of Cherryville, Kansas; like a sister, Kim Morris;
brothers-in-law, Daniel Hickman of Wagner, Oklahoma, Charles Hickman
of Grove, Oklahoma and Billy Hickman of Wagoner, Oklahoma; two
sisters-in-law, Lynda Knowlton of Coffeyville, Kansas and Terry

Visitation was held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
at the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the
Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Brother Roger Taber
officiating. Special music was “Free Bird,” “Going Home” and “When
I Get Where I’m Going.”
Interment and prayers followed at the Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri.

Harrison “Harry” Daniels
Harrison “Harry” Daniels of Steelville, Missouri was born on
August 7, 1937 in Harlan, Kentucky to Bascum and Alberta Cloud
Daniels and passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 in Rolla,
Missouri at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 25 days.
He was a self-employed roofer most of his adult life. He was very
mechanically inclined and could fix anything. He was a close friend
and right-hand man for Fred Tomlinson. He also, enjoyed hunting
earlier in his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bascum and Alberta Daniels.
He is survived by his fiancée, Nina Dillon of Steelville, Missouri;
children, Joseph (Krystyna) Frazier of Steelville, Missouri, Brenda
(Tom) Collins of Potosi, Missouri and Benny Frazier and special friend
Yvette Clary of Steelville, Missouri; brother, Alford (Pheby) Daniels
of Ferndale, Michigan; sister, Etherin Daniels of Disney, Kentucky;
nieces and nephews Eddie Faye (Danny) Griffin of Sullivan, Missouri,
Ada (Steve) Edens of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Pam Hardbeck of
Adrian, Michigan and Josh Daniels of Kentucky; seven grandchildren;
one great grandchild; other relatives and friends.

Samuel Doyle
Samuel Doyle of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday, July 18, 1929 at
Aplein, Arkansas to Dot Edward and Reble Irene Minny Doyle and passed
away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Indian Trail, North Carolina at the
age of 83 years.
Sam was united in marriage to Alice Katherine Ballard and to this
union two daughters were born.
Sam retired from the City Water Department of St. Louis, Missouri
after 40+ years of dedicated service. After retirement Sam and Alice
moved to Indian Hills, Cuba, Missouri in 1983 where Sam worked as a
guard and helped with the Indian Hills water department. Sam was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Doyle; siblings, L.C.,
Jack “J.R.”, Theodore, Alice Core, Ola Mae and Lena Fay; granddaughter,
Kim; parents, Dot Edward and Reble Irene Minny Doyle.He is survived by
his two daughters, Reba Picard and her husband Thomas and Sandy Kruse
of North Carolina; brother, Bobby Doyle; four grandchildren; four
great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday,
June 8, 2013 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri
with Pastor Bob Knight officiating.
Inurnment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri.

Don Elsberry
Don Elsberry of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, August 18, 1923
in Madison, Missouri to Guy and Leona Steele Elsberry and passed away
on Saturday, May 25, 2013 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Don married Fay Kirgan on September 25, 1942 in Macon, Missouri and
to this union one daughter was born.
Don owned and operated the Elsberry Feed and Produce Company in
Vandalia, Missouri. He previously was a member of First Baptist Church,
Vandalia, Missouri where he was ordained as a deacon. He currently was
an active member of First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri and previously
had participated in Campers on Mission. His hobbies were camping and
listening to bluegrass music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Leona Elsberry; wife,
Fay; brothers, Bob and Russell Elsberry; sister, Faye (Bud) McCart;
brother-in-law, Terrill (Virginia) Kirgan.
He is survived by his daughter, Lonnie (Jerry) Cape of Cuba, Missouri;
grandchildren, Darren (DeeAnn) Heaton and Karren (David) Hill, all
of Cuba, Missouri; great grandchildren, Hannah and Tyler Heaton, of
Cuba, Missouri; step grandchildren, Michael (Julie) Cape of Rolla,
Missouri, Ed (Tonya) Cape of Tecumseh, Kansas, Marsha (Charlie) Light
of Steelville, Missouri and Patty (Dan) Doyle of Holton, Kansas;
sisters-in-law, Helen Elsberry of Moberly, Missouri and Louise Elsberry
of Warrensburg, Missouri; 11 step great grandchildren; 13 step great
great grandchildren; other relation and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 10 a.m.-noon and funeral
service at noon at the First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri with
Pastor Bob Knight officiating.
Burial was at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Dorothy J. Flanagan
Dorothy J. Flanagan of St. Peters, Missouri, formerly of St. James,
Missouri was born in St. James, Missouri to Thomas and Phoebe (Neal)
Flanagan on June 14, 1933 and passed away May 30, 2013 in St. Peters,
Missouri at the age 79 years.
Dorothy was a graduate of St. James High School class of 1951. Dorothy
packed up and moved to the city where she went to work for McDonald
Douglas. Dorothy worked hard and moved up the “corporate ladder” to the
position of Financial Control Analyst, a position she held until her
retirement in 1990. She enjoyed bowling and golf and loved to get
together with the girls from McDonald Douglas, although they were all
retired they enjoyed getting together for lunch, reminiscing about
the fun they had and the lives they led. Although Dorothy never married
she lived a full life, she enjoyed spending time with her family and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Phoebe Flanagan;
her brothers, Vernon and Thomas Flanagan; sisters, Viola Elizondo,
Martha Imperial, Opal Rayburn and Donna Allison.
She is survived by her sister, Betty Martin and husband Herschel,
of O’Fallon, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James, Missouri
prior to the service from noon-1 p.m.
Funeral services were Monday, June 3, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the St. James
Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Chuck Whitmire
officiating.
Interment was in the St. James Cemetery.

Leslie “Les” Lynn Lane, Esq.
Leslie “Les” Lynn Lane, Esq., of Rolla, Missouri was born on
February 18, 1968 in Rolla, Missouri to Leslie Daniel and Lucille
Pearl (Grayson) Lane and passed away Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the age
of 45 years.
On December 19, 1990, he married Alhesha Rutherford and they were
blessed with three children.
Les enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling and sailing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie D. Lane and his sister,
Linda Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Alhesha Lane of Rolla, Missouri; mother,
Lucille Lane of St. James, Missouri; three children, Emily Grace Huskey
and husband Kyle of South Haven, Mississippi, Ethan James Lane and
Miranda Corrinne Lane, both of Rolla, Missouri; three sisters, Laverne
Kindred and husband Jay of Springfield, Missouri, Lola Cook and husband
Ray of Rolla, Missouri and Lisa Davis and husband Gary of LaGrange,
Kentucky; brother-in-law, Bob Moore of Rolla, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the
Null and Son Funeral Home, Rolla, Missouri.
Funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013
at the First Assembly of God in Rolla, Missouri with pastor Chuck
Whitmire officiating.
Interment followed in the Hudgens Cemetery.

David Clarence Marcee Sr.
David Clarence Marcee Sr. of St. James, Missouri was born
October 17, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri to Clarence and Bernice
(Wilmering) Marcee and passed away May 29, 2013 in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 68 years.
After graduating from high school in 1962, David attended college at
The Missouri School of Mines in Rolla, Missouri where he received his
degree as an Electrical Engineer. Each year he and his classmates
got together for St. Pats, something he looked forward to each year.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during
the Vietnam War.
On November 5, 1966, he married Miss Kathleen Power and to this union
they were blessed with three sons.
He was a member of the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri.
David has many hobbies and was an expert Amateur Radio Operator,
and RC hobbyist he really enjoyed the remote controlled “marine”
vehicles most. David was a volunteer at the G.E.D center where he was
a math tutor. He also had a great passion for St. Jude’s Children’s
Hospital. His greatest joy however was the love he had for his family
and serving as “homework specialist” to his seven grandchildren. They
came to grandpa’s after school everyday and the first thing they did
was get out the books; he taught them algebra before they were
learning it at school.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bernice Marcee;
and his step-mother, Etta Marcee.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Kathy Marcee; sons, David
Marcee Jr. and wife Dana of St. James, Missouri, Scott Marcee and
wife Jaimee of St. James, Missouri and Chris Marcee and wife Michele
of St. James, Missouri; sister, Jayne Gilpin of Cuba, Missouri; grand-
children, Kaitlyn, Justin, Hannah, Jackson, Ella, Audrey and Shelby;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, May 30, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the James &
Gahr Mortuary, St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 31, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the
St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Don Carson
officiating.
Interment was in the Ft. Leonard Wood Veterans Cemetery with the
Patriot Riders leading the procession.
Pallbearers were David Marcee Jr. Scott Marcee, Chris Marcee, Robert
Grady and Tom Manning. Honorary pallbearers were Jackson Marcee,
Frank Giger and Robert Klein.

Evelyn Oleta Paul
Evelyn Oleta Paul was born in Sullivan, Missouri on December 13, 1939
to Robert Benett and Thelma Ruth Dauer Doyle and passed away
Saturday, May 25, 2013 at her home at the age of 73 years.
She and Curtis Paul were married on January 5, 1957.
Evelyn spent the majority of her life in the Sullivan, Missouri
area working at both the International and Midwest Shoe Companies.
She enjoyed yard work and took great pride in her flowers. She was
raised in the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Thelma Benett;
her husband in February 2000; and by a son, Curtis Paul.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Paul and wife Judy of Sullivan,
Missouri and Eric Paul and wife Carrie of Bourbon, Missouri; two
brothers, Gary Doyle and wife Mary of Cuba, Missouri and William
Doyle of Colorado; two sisters, Carol Mercer and husband Paul of
Sullivan, Missouri and Judy Doyle of Cuba, Missouri; 10 grand-
children; 15 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the
Bourbon Cemetery with the Pastor Raymond T. Yates officiating.

Missouri.
Lyndel Ray Pine
Lyndel Ray Pine of Steelville, Missouri was born August 29, 1946 in
Montgomery City, Missouri to LeRoy and Jewell Pendegraft Pine and
passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Gibbs Care Center at the age
of 66 years, 8 months and 27 days.
He attended Victory Baptist Church with his family. He enjoyed
watching the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams and riding
4-wheelers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Jewell Pine.
He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Arnold and husband Lewis of
Steelville, Missouri; special friends, Paige Brazel, Ina Gladden and
Sue Leasor; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until service time on Wednesday,
May 29, 2013 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville,
Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at
the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with
Rev. Roger Silvey officiating. Special music of “Softly and
tenderly”, “Amazing Grace” and “”I’ll Fly Away” was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery,
Steelville, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Big Jesse Woodall, Little Jesse Woodall, Devin
Woodall, Sue Leasor, Danny Gladden and Steve Shofner.

Ray Reynolds
Ray Reynolds of St. James, Missouri was born October 15, 1922 in
St. James, Missouri to Bill and Mabel (Parcel) Reynolds and passed
away May 29, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
After Ray graduated from high school he served his country in the
United States Army during WWII.
He married Bessie Norris on May 24, 1947 and to this union four
children were born.
He was a member of the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri.
Ray was a “project manager” of sorts. He always had a project going
and loved to tinker in his shed where he could turn out the best
house birdhouses you have ever seen. His passion was horses. He
loved horses and was fortunate to have worked with them for over
30 years as a trainer/barn manager at Boys and Girls Town in
St. James. He loved everything about his job but his favorite
time of the year was the annual wagon train to Springfield,
Missouri. Ray didn’t ride
a horse to Springfield, but instead drove the water truck so he
could make sure the horses were properly fed and watered and in
those cases where someone got hurt or just could no longer ride Ray
got a partner to ride with.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years in 2012, Bessie;
parents, Bill and Mable Reynolds; his sons, Ray Reynolds Jr. and
Robert Reynolds.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna McCabe and husband Kevin of
St. James, Missouri and Mary Ann Woolsey of St. James, Missouri;
daughter-in-law, Cathy Reynolds; grandchildren, Randy Smith, Michelle
Degraffenreid, Bob Reynolds, Nathaniel Hadley, and Brian Hadley;
brothers, Roy Reynolds of Nebraska, and Jay Reynolds of St. Louis,
Missouri; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held at the chapel, St. James, Missouri prior to the
service from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Funeral service with full military honors were Friday, May 31, 2013
at 2 p.m. at the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James, Missouri with
Pastor Don Carson officiating.
Fitting for Ray was his ride to Asher Cemetery in a horse drawn
funeral carriage.
Pallbearers were Kevin McCabe, Randy Smith, John Degraffenreid,
Bobby Reynolds, Nathaniel Hadley, Brian Hadley and Herman Bradshaw.

Frank Edward Wiget
Frank Edward Wiget of Steelville, Missouri was born February 13, 1938
in St. Louis, Missouri to Frank Anthony and Gertrude Ruesche Wiget
and passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his home at the age of 75
years, 3 months and 12 days.
On February 15, 1964 in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage
to Judith Agricola.
Frank served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and the Reserves.
He worked in St. Louis at Mallory Buick for 18 years.
In January of 1976, Frank moved his family to Steelville, Missouri,
where he started his own body shop.
He was a member of the Steelville Presbyterian Church and served six
years on the Board of Deacon’s property committee. Frank was also a
member of the International Association of Mechanics Local 777.
In his spare time, Frank had a passion for exploring garage sales,
yard sales and auctions. He loved to arrive early at auctions and
stay until the very end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Gertrude Wiget.
He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Judith Wiget of
Steelville, Missouri; one son, Frank David Wiget and wife Barbara of
Steelville, Missouri; one daughter, Kathy Pearson and husband Edward
of Cuba, Missouri; one brother in-law, Richard Agricola and wife
Shirley of Durham, North Carolina; one aunt, Catherine Schellenger
of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, Crystal Ann Wiget,
Edward “Buddy” A. Pearson II and Dorthea Michelle Pearson; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at
the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev.
Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of “Amazing Grace,” “Rock of
Ages” and “How Great Thou Art was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.
Graveside services and interment were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday,
May 30, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
Casket bearers were Franky Todd, David Wiget, Ed Pearson, Bob Becker,
Barbara Wiget and Kathy Pearson.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral
Home in Steelville, Missouri.
