Phelps of Bourbon, Missouri passed away Monday, May 29, 2000 at the age of 43 years. Jeff, as he was known by his family and friends, was born August 3, 1956 at Ironton, Missouri. He was raised and lived with his family in the Bellgrade area until 1964 when the family moved to Bourbon. Jeff later graduated in 1974 from Bourbon High School. On August 5, 1977 he was married to Donna Tucker at Bourbon and they were blessed with three children. Jeff was employed by Weaver Steel Company and was a member of Ironworks Local #396 for the last eleven years. Jeff found enjoyment in being on the river with is boat and the company of his many friends. He is survived by his wife, Donna, one son, Jeffery Phelps, two daughters, Jessica Lynn and Stacy Lynn Phelps all of Bourbon, his parents, Dwain and Nelda (Midgett) Phelps of Bourbon, his father and mother-in-law, Don and Emma Tucker, of Lebanon, Missouri, grandmother, Hazel Midgett of Potosi, two brothers, Dwain Phelps, Jr., and Keith Phelps, and wife, Vicki all of Bourbon, two sisters, Sally Phelps and Nancy Massie and husband, Bob all of Bourbon, additional brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bruce and Leticia Tucker, Rissa and Bryan Root and Cynthya Wood, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2000 from the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan with Pastor John Orton officiating. Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery. Bernice Evelyn Frossard Bernice Evelyn Frossard of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Lonedell, Missouri, departed this life in Cuba, on May 24, 2000, having reached the age of eighty-two years, one month and eighteen days. Bernice was born in Lonedell, Missouri on April 6, 1918, daughter of the late Killis Huff and Jewell Hertha Huff nee Cunningham. On July 6, 1954, Bernice was united in marriage to Elmer Taft Frossard and two daughters came to bless this union. Bernice is survived by her husband, Elmer Frossard of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Lonedell; by her daughters, Sandra Love and husband, Walter, of Sullivan, Missouri and Donna Counts and husband, Gary, of St. Clair; by seven grandchildren, Jim Love of Sullivan, Christine Perkins of St. Clair, Jason Love and wife, Molly, of Marthasville, Missouri, Jeremy Love of Sullivan, Dannelle Steele of St. Clair, Jamie Hackmann and husband, John, of Belleville, Illinois, and David Counts of McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. By one brother, Sherwood Huff and wife, Norma, of Crestwood, Missouri; by one sister, Delma Pascoe and husband, Percy, of Cuba, Missouri; by her sister-in-law, Betty Huff Ping and husband, Ray, of St. Clair; by four great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her brother, Eugene "Sandy" Huff; and by one infant sister, Neola Mae Huff. Bernice was a devoted Christian and life long member of Virginia Mines Baptist Church in Lonedell, Missouri. Her church was a very important part of Bernice's life and for many years she had served the church as the secretary and treasurer. If the church was having a function, Bernice was always there to help organize and help. During her working years, she had been employed in the shoe manufacturing industry and had worked at International Shoe Company in St. Clair; at Deb Shoe Company in St. Clair and later at Carmo Shoe Company in Union, Missouri. She enjoyed the outdoors and was always willing to lend Elmer a helping hand in caring for their farm. Bernice was a great cook and nothing made her happier than cooking large meals for family gatherings. Caring for her family was always a priority in her life and she was happiest when she was caring for her grandchildren or her many nieces and nephews. The love and devotion she has shown to her family throughout her life will never be forgotten. A kind, sweet and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great and great-great aunt, cousin and treasured friend, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation was held after 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2000 at the Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the Virginia Mines Baptist Church in Lonedell, Missouri with the Rev. Harold Frick and the Rev. Charles Herron officiating. Interment was in the Virginia Mines Cemetery, Lonedell, Missouri. Memorials may be made to the Virginia Mines Baptist Church Cemetery, Lonedell, Missouri. Raymond George Pitts Raymond George Pitts, 76, passed away May 9, 2000, in Ocala, FL. He was born February 22, 1924, in St. James, MO to Henry Harrison and Opal Geraldine (Peters) Pitts. On August 2, 1950, Raymond married Bettye Brown in Bentonville, AR. Raymond was the owner and operator of a trucking company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Raymond loved to fish; he could go out on the fishing boat and could forget just about everything. For a short time, he was a fishing guide. The couple traveled fulltime in their motor home and were fortunate enough to get to travel to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico. He enjoyed gardening and had a green thumb. Raymond was proud they had been married almost 50 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Shriners in Bartlesville, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Rainey Pitts. He is survived by his wife, Bettye Pitts, daughter Deborah Raye Adams, a sister Wilma Bell, of Cherryville, MO, and two grandchildren. The funeral service was at 2 p.m. Monday, May 15 at the Claremore Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Claremore, OK, under the direction of Claremore Funeral Home. Edgar William Kreamalmeyer, Sr. Edgar William Kreamalmeyer, Sr., was born July 2, 1921 and passed away May 16, 2000. Dear Edgar departed this earthly estate for the next surrounded by loved ones who honored him and his dignity while battling lung disease. This great patriarch will be missed. He cherished each and every one of us and we him. Edgar entered this world in Granite City, Illinois, the son of Eural William Kreamalmeyer and Jennie Elizabeth Bettorf. The love of Edgar's life, Martha Erma Briscoe, is proud to call him husband, a title solemnized in the Alberta Temple. He also bears the title father by his sons: James, Franklin (Charlene), Stephen (Katie), and Edgar, Jr., a.k.a. Bill (Cindy); and by his daughters: Joyce (Fred) Stroupe, Karol Dunn, Judith Beach-Cox, Jennie (Bobby) Baker, Jeannette (Dennis) Beagley, Jill (George) Briggs, Jayne (Noel) Agullar, and Janita (David) Dion. He is grandpa to 36 sweet souls, and great grandpa to 14 children. Edgar is eldest brother to *Hilda, Wilma, Martin, Alta Osherow, *Claude, *Clarence, Dan, Jack, Bob, and Ben. He was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was met at the veil by many others whom he loved and they him. What a wonderful reunion they enjoyed. We are left with a legacy of hard work, phyiscal and spiritual strength, sense of humor, and love for one another even in the face of adversity. His love for all God's creations was taught by example. We know that he is preparing the way and inspiring us to place our feet in the big cowboy boot prints he has left behind that we may find fulfillment and joy in this life and the next. Harman and Jennie L. Harman (nee Smith). She departed this life Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in the Gibbs Care Center, Steelville, Mo., at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 29 days. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters: Harry Harman, Thomas Harman and wife Fay, Jewel Harman and wife Margaret, Sammy Harman and wife Opal, Claud Harman, Grace and husband Finis Smith, Elsie and husband Cape Perry, Velma and husband John Weber; and step-daughter Rebecca Carter. Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her son, Richard Wayne Halbert and wife Marcy of Washington, Mo.; a step-son, William Watts; sister-in-law, Dorothy (Mrs. Harry) Harman of Steelville, Mo. Raymond Lenwood Litty Raymond Lenwood Litty was born Wednesday, August 19, 1931, at Steelville, Mo., a son of the late Floyd Albert Litty and Pansy (Starks) Litty. He entered eternal rest Tuesday, May 30, 2000, in the Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 68 years, 9 months and 11 days. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Litty. Among those who remain to morn his passing are his two sons, Jeff Litty and wife Cathy of Clinton, Mo., and Bruce Litty and wife Donnita of Lindsay, Oklahoma; three daughters, Lisa and husband Jerry Lorraine of Cuba, Mo., Lori and husband Steve Conway of Washington, Mo., Julie and husband Tom Beck of Villa Ridge, Mo. Raymond served his country in the United States Army, June 1952 to March 1954. He was a member of the Local 513 of the International Union of Operating Engineers, and worked as a heavy machine operator for road construction. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Musical selections were provided by Tamyra Diers (niece). Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Mo. Full military honors were presented by Missouri National Guard of Jefferson City, Mo. at graveside, with Firing Party, Taps, Flag Folding and presentation. Serving as pallbearers were Jerry Lorraine, Tom Beck, Steve Conway, Brent Hyde, Chris Litty and Kevin Litty. Honorary pallbearers were brothers and brothers-in-law, Jim Litty, Paul Litty, Jerry Litty, and Larry Wegmann. Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Della Mae Leach Della Mae Leach (nee Humphrey), born in Dixon, Mo. on April 1, 1914 and passed away May 26, 2000 in Orange, California at the age of 86 years, 1 month and 25 days. Della was the fourth child born to Frank and Ollie Humphrey, longtime residents of the Steelville, Mo. area. She was united in marriage in 1929 to Clark Roberson in Granite City, Illinois. Eight children were born within this union. In 1965 Clark passed away at the age of 59 years. On July 29, 1970 Della was married to Robert Hansen Leach of Orange, California where the couple has resided until the present time. Those who have preceded her in death include daughter, Marlene Pinson; two sons, Jerry Roberson and Don Roberson; one grandson, Karl Dean Roberson; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Veach; sisters, Evelyn Goddard (of Cuba, Mo.), Gladys Grey, Bessis Pinson and one brother, Luther Humphrey. Della is survived by her husband, Robert Hansen Leach of Orange, California; daughters, Dorothy Hunt of Desota, Texas and Rosemary Granfield of Orange, California; sons, Thomas Roberson of St. Louis, Mo., James Roberson of Dallas, Texas and Carl Roberson of Leguana Hills, California; step-daughters, Rita Pierce of Fullerton, California, Karen Frankenberger of Lompoc, California, Toni Fish of American Canyon, California and Jamie Carrington of Hamilton, Montana. She is also survived by 48 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, in addition to one sister, Hazel Dicus of Steelville, Mo. and one sister-in-law, Tressie Humphrey of Steelville, Mo. Visitation and viewing were held May 30, 2000 in Waverly Church Chapel in Fairhaven Memorial Park in Santa Ana, California. Funeral services were held at the North Orange Christian Church at 10:00 a.m. on May 31, 2000 followed by interment at Arlington National Cemetery in Riverside, California. Lillian Caroline Enke Anderson Lillian Caroline Enke Anderson nee Rezac of Cuba, Mo. was born on March 3, 1911 at St. Louis, Mo. to the union of John J. Rezac and Minnie Rezac nee Boettger and passed away on June 3, 2000 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 89 years, 3 months. On February 17, 1934 Lillian was united in marriage to Fred Enke. One son, Robert J., was born to this union. Fred preceded Lillian in death on August 18, 1955. On March 16, 1957 Lillian was united in marriage to William E. Anderson. They were happily married until he preceded her in death on August 19, 1978. Lillian was preceded in death by her sister Mamie Charles. Lillian was a long time resident of Crawford County. Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her loving son Robert J. Enke and wife Shirley; two grandchildren Karen Hignett and husband Richard and Steve Enke; one great-grandson John R. (JR) Hignett; other relatives and friends. Lillian was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, good friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Lillian C.
