Cavanaugh was born on October 5, 1932 to the late James and Catherine (Besser) Cavanaugh and passed away on June 4, 2007 at the age of 74 years in Sullivan, Missouri. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; wife Irene Cavanaugh; one brother, Daniel and sister, Caroline Schuster. He is survived by children, Robert Daniel Cavanaugh and wife Linda of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Blenda Jane Hughes and husband Adam of Ozark, Alabama, Judy Cavanaugh of Cuba, Missouri, Richard Michael Cavanaugh and wife Angela of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Miranda Hughes and Zachery Cavanaugh; nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2007. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri with Stephen Brubaker officiating. Pallbearers were Rick Cavanaugh, Adam Hughes, Robert Cavanaugh, Billy Shipman, Harry Schuster and John Wilson. Interment was in the Adams Cemetery in Phelps County. All arrangements were under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary in St. James, Missouri. Bryan Preston Eaton Bryan Preston Eaton of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of Cherryville, Missouri, was born on Saturday, November 8, 1919 in Steelville, Missouri to Austin Eaton and Devora Howdeshell Eaton and passed away Sunday, June 3, 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 87 years, 6 months and 26 days. Preston married Pansy Parrett in Salem, Missouri on November 25, 1939 and to this union one son was born. He worked for the Social Security office in Steelville, Missouri. When he contracted tuberculosis, part of his recovery was an opportunity to go to watch making school. This was the beginning of a long career as a jeweler. He owned three different jewelry stores in St. Louis, Missouri. He also was an avid coin collector and poker player. He was a member of the Meridian Lodge #2 AF&AM in St. Louis, Missouri. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing. After retirement Pansy and he would go to Florida for the winter. It was there that a group of retirees formed a band playing for many hours to entertain themselves and others. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wilbur Eaton; sisters, Alma Worley and Sybil Earls. He is survived by his wife; one son, Wayne Eaton of St. Louis, Missouri; sister-in-law, Gladys Eaton of Steelville, Missouri; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation was Thursday, June 7, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral services were Friday, June 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Clarence Morrison officiating. Burial was in the Cherryville Baptist Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri. Pallbearers were Roger Parrett, Blaine Parrett, Jack Kekich, Dave Stevens, Gene Holderle and Risto Kekich. All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Fay Elsberry Fay Elsberry nee Kirgan of Cuba, Missouri was born on April 30, 1925 in Madison, Missouri to Grover C. Kirgan and Annie Terrill Kirgan. She passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 82 years, 1 month and 6 days. She married Donald Elsberry on September 25, 1942 in Macon, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born. While living in Vandalia, Missouri she worked nine years at the Sheltered Workshop and was also the bookkeeper for their family business Elsberry Feed and Produce. After moving to Cuba, Fay was a member of Cuba First Baptist Church where she participated in the Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) and Campers on Mission. Her hobbies were crocheting, sewing, camping and painting with water colors. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Terrill Kirgan (Virginia); sister-in-law, Faye McCart (Bud). She is survived by her husband; daughter, Lonnie Cape (Jerry) of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Bob Elsberry (Helen) of Moberly, Missouri and Russell Elsberry (Louise) of Warrensburg, Missouri; grandchildren, Darren Heaton (DeeAnn) of Cuba, Missouri and Karren Hill (David) of Popular Bluff, Missouri; great grandchildren, Hannah and Tyler Heaton. Mildred Mae Harrison Mildred Mae Harrison of Eminence, Missouri was born on Monday, May 21, 1928 at Ink, Missouri to the union of Henry Clay Price and Martha (nee Jordan) Price and passed away Monday, June 4, 2007 at Mountain View Health Care, Mountain View, Missouri at the age of 79 years and 13 days. Mildred was united in marriage to Ray Vaughn “R.V.” Harrison in 1944 at Hardy, Arkansas and to this union five children were born. The most important part of Mildred’s life was her family, but during her spare time she enjoyed reading, gardening, playing solitaire, her house flowers, listening to country and bluegrass music on the radio which was usually on in their home all the time. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Charles, Howard and John Henry Price; one son-in-law, Don Murr and other relatives and friends. Willie Licklider Willie Licklider of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Earl Everett Hicks and Katie Hicks (nee Beuler) on May 17, 1917 in Pontiac, Missouri and passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 90 years and 20 days. She was united in marriage to Doris Cornell “D.C.” Licklider on October 16, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born. Willie retired from St. John’s Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur, Missouri after many loyal years in the Food Service Department. She truly enjoyed the outdoors in which she was able to fish, hunt and garden. She also enjoyed cooking, canning, knitting and quilting. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Wilma Hicks and Jessie Hicks. Summers III of Killeen, Texas, former resident of Cuba, Missouri was born April 5, 1986 at Washington, Missouri to the union of James E. Summer, Jr. and Lucy (nee Kramer) Summers and passed away Monday, May 28, 2007 (Memorial Day) at Abu Sayda Iraq at the age of 21 years, 1 month and 23 days. Jimmy was united in marriage at Cuba, Missouri on June 18, 2005 to Elizabeth “Beth” Bridgeman. James joined the United States Army in February 2005. He was proud to be a soldier and he was proud of the job that the troops are doing over there, especially improving the lives of the children. That was very dear to his heart. He was a man of honor, respect and integrity, someone we can all be proud of. Jimmy is preceded in death by his father; and many other relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife, his mother of Kentucky; two brothers, Sgt.
