Judy Wilson Lang Brake
Judy Wilson Lang Brake of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of Sullivan,
Missouri, was born on October 29, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to
William Vance and Mary Ruth Walden Wilson and passed away on
Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the age of 61 years, 7 months and 8 days.
Judy worked in the health care industry as a caregiver for several
years. She was very compassionate and always thought of others first.
She enjoyed gardening, working with flowers and spending time with her
family especially her daughter and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Doug) Walker; grandchildren,
Alex Daniel and Blaine Michael Walker; brother, Randy Wilson of
Steelville, Missouri; sister-in-law, Diane Wilson of Steelville,
Missouri; aunt Edna Hoefer of St. Louis, MO; nephews, Shane Wilson
(Pam Newland) and Cody Wilson, all of Steelville, Missouri; great n
ephew and great nieces, Nick Green, Reese Newland, Samantha “Mana”
and Angel Newland of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. and memorial
service at 7 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri
with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.

Dawn Michele Cardillo
Dawn Michele Cardillo of Steelville, Missouri was born March 1, 1966
in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Patricia Green Cardillo and
passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at her mother’s home in Steelville
at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 10 days.
Dawn worked as a sales associate for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She was raised
in the Catholic faith and loved to write poems and songs.
She is survived by her parents, Joseph Cardillo of St. Louis, Missouri
and Patricia Cardillo of Steelville, Missouri; one brother, Joseph
Cardillo of Steelville, Missouri; one sister, Nicole Cardillo of
Steelville, Missouri; two half-brothers, Michael Cardillo and Thomas
Cardillo of St. Louis, Missouri; special nieces, Briania Le, Shawn Le,
Daniele Cardillo, Sarah Cardillo and Gabriele Cardillo who were always
part of her life; other relatives and friends.
A memorial visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday,
June 15, 2013 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville,
Missouri.
There was no service.

Mary Lorene Carter
Mary Lorene Carter of Sullivan, Missouri, was born on
December 20, 1928 at Blanche, Missouri to Robert and Verda (Moren)
McCleary and passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the age of 84 years,
5 months and 19 days.
Mary was raised in Bourbon, Missouri and was a life-long resident of
the Sullivan/Bourbon areas.
On November 5, 1943 she was united in marriage to Seymour W. Carter
at Bourbon, Missouri and to the marriage six children were born.
In 1961, the family moved from Bourbon to Sullivan. Mary worked her
entire life in the area. She was employed for a time at Paramount
Headwear, the former Holiday Inn and International Shoe. However, her
main employment was at the former Borg-Warner Company where she
retired after 28 years. She enjoyed reading and quilting, growing
flowers, camping and fishing. However, her passion was the St. Louis
Cardinals.
She was a member of the Automotive Local 777 and Life Member of the
V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary of Sullivan, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and verda McCleary;
her son, Bill; her husband, Seymour in September of 1977; three brothers,
Bunk, Gene and Leon McCleary; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce McCleary.
She is survived by five daughters, Erma Farmer and husband Clarence of
Sullivan, Missouri, Gail Ransom of Sullivan, Missouri, Carmen Elledge
and husband Gale of Louisiana, Missouri, Doris Jesse and husband Steve
of Sullivan, Missouri and Rita Radford and husband Burt of Bourbon,
Missouri; three brothers, Junior McCleary and wife Pat of Bourbon,
Missouri, Kenny McCleary and wife Gloria of Sullivan, Missouri and
Ronnie McCleary and wife Jane of Bourbon, Missouri; one sister, Mamie
Gallion of Olney, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren;
three great great grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday evening, June 14, 2013 at
the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2013
from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Mike
King officiating.
Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Denise Alice Cloninger
Denise Alice Cloninger was born November 27, 1957 in Gary, Indiana to
Warren Dean and Ruth Ann (nee Cleary) Cloninger and passed away at
the Westchester House in Chesterfield, Missouri after a long battle
with diabetes on June 10, 2013 at the age of 55 years.
Denise was a quirky soul with a passion for music, making jewelry,
cracking jokes and causing trouble (this is said with affection) with
her family and friends and while she was able, adopting dogs and cats
from shelters to give them a loving home. If a pet was lucky enough to
be adopted by Denise, it certainly hit the jackpot. Denise was
involved with charity work and volunteered as often as she could at
many events.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dean and Ruth Cloninger.
She is survived by her brother, David and wife Cherie of Anchorage,
Alaska; two sisters, Terry and husband Mark Jonas of West Park, Florida
and Patricia and husband Vincent DeMarco of Cuba, Missouri; special
friends, Jim Lawless and Tom Fischer; other relatives and friends.
While her death was met with tears from those who will miss her, it
was also met with gratitude and relief that her years of pain and
suffering were at an end.
Denise’s left her body to a teaching hospital so that others could
learn from the insidious disease that took her so young.
Wayne Allen Cunningham
Wayne Allen Cunningham of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday,
July 7, 1956 at Rolla, Missouri to Jerome “Jerry,” Sr. and Virginia
(nee Woehler) Cunningham and passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2013
at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 56 years.
Wayne was united in marriage to Deanna Goudeau (nee Happel) in
July of 2002 at Trinity Chapel, Cuba, Missouri.
He was a 1974 graduate of the Cuba High School.
The last five years Wayne had been the owner/operator of Clean Cut
Lawn Care. Wayne enjoyed barbequing, making his own barbeque sauce
and cooking. He would always go to the boys ballgames and tried
going to the Muny in St. Louis ever year. He was always working on
the farm, taking care of his cattle and in the spring would bale
hay and work in the garden. He sold real estate and was truly a
jack of all trades.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Cunningham Sr.,
brother, Jerome C. “Dink” Cunningham, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Cunningham of Cuba, Missouri;
two sons, Todd Cunningham and Trenton Goudeau of Cuba, Missouri;
mother, Virginia Cunningham of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters,
Arleen Luedde of New Hampshire, Linda and husband Michael Woessner
of St. James, Missouri and Mary and husband Steve Black of Cuba,
Missouri; two brothers, Darrell and wife Janice Cunningham of
St. James, Missouri and Robert and wife Tina Cunningham of Cuba,
Missouri; in-laws, Nancy and Lee Layton of Steelville, Missouri
and Lorraine Happel of Cuba, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Jim and
wife Cathy Happel of Cuba, Missouri and Lee Layton and fianceé
Katherine Conway of Steelville, Missouri; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 from 10 a.m. until
noon at Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at noon at
Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Mace officiating.
Special music was “Amazing Grace,” “Forever Young” and “Free Bird.”
Pallbearers were Darrell Cunningham, Bobby Cunningham, Tim Ryle,
Drew Stubblefield, Joe Cason and Kevin Spurgeon. Honorary
pallbearers were Dick Windle, Lee Layton, Jim Happel, Trenton
Goudeau, Mike Birch and Chuck Swope.
Interment and prayers followed at the Mounts Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri.

Cuba, Missouri.
Shaun Lee Damo
Shaun Lee Damo of Steelville, Missouri was born on Thursday,
June 6, 1985 to David Peter and Gloria Jean Williams Damo and
passed away in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Saturday, June 8, 2013
at the age of 28 years and 2 days.
Shaun graduated from Steelville High School and then worked at
Meramec Shoe Industry in Sullivan, Missouri for a few years. His
hobbies were fishing and collecting Eagle figurines. He was very
patriotic and liked to play all sports. He enjoyed watching the
St. Louis Cardinal ball team.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Fred Williams and
Frank Damo and grandmother, Mary Helen Damo.
He is survived by his parents, David and Gloria Damo of Steelville,
Missouri; sisters, Sheryl Damo of Steelville, Missouri and Rebecca
Miller of Bourbon, Missouri; brother, David (Trish) Damo of
Steelville, Missouri; grandmother, Mary Williams of Mt. Olive,
Illinois; nieces, Brianna, Alaina and Jamie Miller and Trishelle
Damo; nephews, Laden Miller and Tristan Damo; caretaker Mrs. Lee
Ruck of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6-7 p.m. and Memorial
Service at 7 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri
with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating.

Lucille Davis
Lucille (Pilgrim) Davis of St. Louis, Missouri, formerly of High Gate,
Missouri, was born on October 6, 1921 Goehner, Nebraska to Frederick
William and Margaret Ann (DeWendt) Pilgrim and passed away on
Thursday, June 13, 2013 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 91 years.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Prebianca on
January, 6, 1950 and Henry Davis on January 6, 1988; her parents,
Frederick and Margaret Pilgrim.
She is survived by her children, Margaret Hofbeck and husband
John, Mary Chadduck and husband Gary, Marvella Buechel and husband
Dr. David, Gregory Prebianca and Bruce Davis and wife Sandy, all of
St. Louis, Missouri; sister, Margaret Bernice Ives of St. Louis,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Jones
Funeral Home Chapel, St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at noon on Tuesday, June 18, 2013
at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. James, Missouri
with Don Pardee officiating.
Burial in the High Gate Baptist Church Cemetery in High Gate,
Missouri.

Dora Mae Heavin
Dora Mae Heavin of Edgar Springs, Missouri was born on February 16, 1923
in Lecoma, Missouri to William and Annie (Finn) Bates and passed away
Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the age of 90 years.
On November 15, 1941 she married Martin Heavin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Annie Bates;
her husband, Martin in 1991; a son-in-law, Mack Clift and six brothers,
Tony, John, Charlie, Walter, Herbert and Wilbur.
She is survived by one daughter, Alice Clift of Edgar Springs,
Missouri; two sons, William Heavin of Rolla, Missouri and Gary Heavin
and wife Connie of St. James, Missouri; four grandchildren; eight great
grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives and
friends.
A visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
at the Null & Son Funeral Home.
A funeral service was conducted at noon on Friday, June 14, 2013
at the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
Interment followed in the Edgar Springs Cemetery.

Jimmie C. “Jim” Hughes
Jimmie C. “Jim” Hughes of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday,
November 16, 1942 at Cuba, Missouri to Hoyt and Viola (nee Worley)
Hughes and passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Cuba, Missouri at the
age of 70 years.
During his marriage to Diane Michalik four children were born.
After graduating high school, Jim went to work as a butcher. He then
drove a truck for many years, owned a gas station on Old Rte. 66,
owned an ice company, owned a custom meat packing house in the early
1990’s and worked for the City of Cuba as maintenance in the
construction department before retiring. In his spare time he enjoyed
hunting, fishing, camping, boating, being at the river, riding his
tractor, gigging and just being outdoors.
Jim was always lending a helping hand to anyone and everyone and
he never met a stranger. Jim would spend hours with his family having
fish fries, cutting up deer meat and being with them at the river.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt and Viola Hughes; son,
Thomas “Tommy” Hughes; three brothers, Edward S., Bernie E. and Ervin
Hughes; two sisters, Patricia L. Hughes and Bonnie Litty-Stephens and
other relatives and friends.
He is survived by his children, James Joseph and wife Kelly Hughes
of Steelville, Missouri, Cheri Lynn and husband Terry Tune of Rolla,
Missouri and Carolyn Sue and husband Danny Sanazaro of Cuba, Missouri;
nine grandchildren, Jordan, Lane, Catie, Lacey, Cameron, Braiden,
Jenna, Jessica and Corey; four brothers, Carl Hughes of Poplar Bluff,
Missouri, Joe and wife Jackie Hughes, Arthur and wife Dixie Hughes and
Paul and wife Lisa Hughes, all of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters, Gloria
and husband Jack Cavanaugh of Sullivan, Missouri, Fern Powers of
St. Louis, Missouri and Barbara and husband Jim Palmer of Cuba,
Missouri; Jim’s second mom, Helen Michalik of Cuba, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
As per Jim’s wishes he was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be
held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Rafting Company starting at
noon and continuing until everyone goes home. Please bring your
pictures, stories and favorite memories of Jim to share with his
family and friends. Also please bring your lawn chair, covered
dish and favorite cold beverage.

Wanda Lee Kolb
Wanda Lee Kolb of Cuba, Missouri was born November 3, 1934 to
Walter Emil and Vadna Alice Schatz in Cuba, Missouri and passed
away June 4, 2013 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 78 years.
Wanda served in places where she could have impact. She served as
a member of the Board of Directors for both the Recklein Memorial
Library and the Crawford County Historical Society. She was actively
involved in the church and served on the Pastor-Parish Committee
of the Cuba United Methodist Church. She was an entrepreneur who,
along with Betty DeLeo, operated an antique store in Cuba for
several years. She also served as office manager for her husband’s
CPA firm for over 20 years.
Wanda was an angel on this earth as she will be in heaven; we are
all better people to have known and been touched by her.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles A. Kolb; son,
Charles “Michael” Kolb and wife Chamaine; three grandchildren,
Courtney Kolb Loper, Caitlin Kolb and Andrew Kolb; sister-in-law, Lona
Schatz; nieces, Karen Donovan and her son Christopher and Brenda Bilyeu
and her sons, Tyler and Nicholaus.
Memorial services were held at the Cuba Methodist Church on
June 9, 2013.
Robert J. (Bobby) Smith
Robert J. (Bobby) Smith, formerly of Vichy, Missouri, was born on
January 15, 1948 in Virginia to Anderson Jesse and Florence Marie
(Turco) Smith and passed away on June 15, 2013 at his home in
Quincy, Illinois at the age of 65 years and 5 months.
Bobby graduated high school in Vienna, Missouri and then attended
Linn Tech. College. He moved to Quincy, Illinois to work for Quincy
Seed Company. He currently worked for ADM (Archer Daniel Midland
Company) as a plant manager.
He is survived by two brothers, Harold J. Smith and wife Betty of
Naples, Florida and James L. Smith of Vichy, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the
Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 11 a.m.
at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with
Randy Carr officiating.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in rural Vichy,
Missouri.

Randle Robert “Randy” Stone
Randle Robert “Randy” Stone of Doolittle, Missouri was born on
January 13, 1940 in Easton, Pennsylvania to Willard and Irene (Beck)
Stone and passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the age of 73 years.
On August 3, 1994 he married Lillie (Williams) Stone.
Randy was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed playing the
guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Irene Stone; and
one brother.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Stone of Doolittle, Missouri;
three sons, Robin Stone of Frenchtown, New Jersey, Brian Gilliam and
wife Anita of St. James, Missouri and Keith Foster and wife Carol
of Rolla, Missouri; two daughters, Tina Karmann and husband Chris and
Kim Karmann and husband Scott, all of Rolla, Missouri; one brother,
Rocky Stone and wife Irene of Florida; grandchildren; great grand-
children; other relatives and friends.
A visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the
Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
Funeral service was conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013
at the Null & Son Funeral Home of Rolla, Missouri.
Interment followed in the Anutt Cemetery.

Mary Louise Wilson
Mary Louise Wilson of Duke, Missouri was born on May 7, 1952 in Flat,
Missouri to Herb and Erlea (Melton) York and passed away Saturday,
June 8, 2013 at the age of 61 years.
In 1969 she married Gary E. Wilson.
Mary was an avid outdoor person. She also loved spending time with
family and friends. She became a loyal Cardinals fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Erlea York; a
daughter, Tracy Forester in 2010; a brother, Floyd York, and two
sisters, Dianna Clift and Margaret Hines.
She is survived by her husband, Gary E. Wilson of Duke, Missouri;
one son, Gary Lee Wilson and wife Debra of St. James, Missouri; two
brothers, Harlin York of Flat, Missouri and Christopher York and
wife Linda of Troy, Missouri; two grandchildren, Garrett Wilson and
Joshua Forester; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m. at
the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri.
A memorial was conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at
the Null & Son Funeral Home of Rolla, Missouri.
