On April 15, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas she married Harrison Franklin Brown. Helen attended the Salvation Army Church for a number of years. She enjoyed being a housewife and a mother throughout her adult life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Bessie Pepper; three brothers, Rodney Pepper, Tommy Pepper and Sidney Pepper; two sisters, Merlene Riley and husband Bill and Pat White and husband Dean; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Howard Brown and wife Virginia, Walter Brown, Ed Brown and wife Nellis, Harold "Bud" Brown, Harry Brown and wife Delpha, Edna Hutson and husband Santa, Mabel Green and husband John and Mercide Quinton and husband James. She is survived by her two daughters, Teresa Brown and Tammie Marrah, both of St. Louis, Missouri; three grandchildren, Ryan Slankard, Katie Marrah and Cynthia Marrah; one great granddaughter, Ruby Brame; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Special music of "One Day at a Time" and a medley of Heaven songs was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman. Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri. He was married to Ada Mae Bunton of St. James, Missouri for 57 years. He retired from Mallinckrodt in 1984 after 38 years of service. He is survived by two children, Linda and Charles; two grand- children, Daniel Hoeft and Amy Wehlitz; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; other relatives and friends. Donald "Donnie" Gene Callahan Donald "Donnie" Gene Callahan of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, October 9, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to Norman George and Louella (Green) Callahan and passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 66 years, 8 months and 2 days. Donnie attended Cherryville and Viburnum schools. He went to work at Floyd Charcoal in Salem, Missouri. He met and married Betty L. Callahan on March 3, 1973 at Hickory Grove Church in Bixby, Missouri. He then worked at a charcoal plant in Wesco, Missouri until he was transferred to the plant in Steelville., Missouri He then work for Crawford County Road District #1, lastly Donnie cut firewood with Bill Black and loaded it on box cars in Cherryville, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Louella Callahan; parents-in-law, Clifford (Shirley) Wilkins; brothers, Larry Callahan and Gary (Cathy) Callahan; brother-in-law, Douglas Ferris; sisters-in-law, Tammy Callahan, Tammy Wilkins, Pamela Wilkins and Connie Wilkins; and nephews, Joshua Callahan and Cody Enke. Hoerath Jr. of Bourbon, Missouri was born on July 15, 1936 to Herman Sr. and Elsie Hoerath and passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the age of 81 years. He grew up and became a carpenter by trade and worked many years for Associated Crafts & Custom Printing. Herman also served in the National Guard for nine years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3781 in Sullivan, Missouri. After he retired, there was no sitting around for Herman. His need to stay busy lead him to working several more years at Onondaga State Park and the Bourbon Community Center. In his spare time Herman loved hunting, fishing, gardening and going to yard sales. He also had a love for collecting guns and finding arrowheads. A friend of his, who was Indian, taught him how to make arrowheads and Herman was invited to the Bourbon Middle School to share what he had learned. He also enjoyed spending time at the sale barn, visiting with his buddies and drinking coffee. It didn't matter where or when you would see Herman, he would always greet you with a big smile and a "what do you know?" He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Sr. and Elise Hoerath; daughter, Elsie Hoerath; brother, James (Moe) Hoerath; sister-in-law, Frannie Hoerath; and wife of 22 years, Ruth Ann Hoerath. Bryer was a happy, laughing, always smiling little boy. He liked farm life, riding his 4-wheeler and playing sports. Thelma Fern Rinehart Thelma Fern Rinehart of St. James, Missouri was born March 19, 1926 on the family farm in Maries County to William Roscoe and Olgie Lucy Herron Moreland and passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the age of 92 years. On May 28, 1955 in St. James, Fern married Hansen John Rinehart. They enjoyed 62 years together. Fern was a kind and loving person. Besides taking care of their home and raising three boys, Fern also worked at Krogers in St. James, Missouri, Central Hardware in Rolla, Missouri and Shelter Insurance. She loved to quilt and loved to watch the Cardinals on television. She was very active in the Church of God in St. James, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hans on November 16, 2017; her parents, William and Olgie Moreland; and two brothers, Omega Moreland and Don Moreland. She is survived by three sons, Randal Rinehart and wife Ann of St. James, Missouri, Bruce Carter and wife Nancy of St. James, Missouri and John E. Carter and wife Wendy of Rolla, Missouri; nine grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Jeanette June Smith Jeanette June Smith (nee Rodgers) of Farmington, Missouri was born June 6, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Andrew James and Thelma Geneva Callahan Rogers and passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in Farmington at the age of 76 years. Jeanette worked for several years as a CNA at Mercy Hospital in Festus, Missouri. In her past time, she enjoyed crocheting, embroidering and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Thelma Rogers; and one brother, James Rodgers. She is survived by her one son, Robert Smith and wife Miranda of Farmington, Missouri; one daughter, Janet Smith of Doe Run, Missouri; five grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica), Benjamin, Christopher, Scott and Randi; other relatives and friends.
