Robert Eoff, Sr.
Charles Robert “Bob” Eoff, Sr. of Cuba, Missouri was born
to the union of James Mills Eoff and Hazel Gladine (Osborne) Eoff on
August 22, 1943 in Bourbon, Missouri passed away Friday, June 15,
2007 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 63 years, 9 months and 23 days.
Robert was united in marriage to Karen Sue Landwehr on
December 16, 2006 and prior to that had shared 27 years together.
He retired from McGinnis Stave Mill after 38 years of loyal
service.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven
Eoff; two brothers, James Eoff and (infant) Jimmy Eoff; sister,
Gladine Land; mother-in-law, Vivian Protte.
Those who are left to mourn his passing are his wife, Karen
Sue Eoff of Cuba, Missouri; three sons, Charles Eoff, Jr. of Potosi,
Missouri, Jeff Eoff of Moberly, Missouri, Clinton Eoff of Bland,
Missouri; two daughters, Judy “Bum” Vinson of Belle, Missouri and
Elizabeth “Delicate” Eoff (fiancé Robby Branson) of Cuba, Missouri.
Four sisters, Della (Bill) Cook of Cuba, Missouri, Dorothy
(John) Veach of Cuba, Missouri, Ruth (Ron) Roach of Sullivan,
Missouri, Bonnie Bockover of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers, Lloyd,
Leroy (Helen) and Albert (Judy) Eoff all of Bourbon, Missouri.
Seven grandchildren, Shay, Steven, Tasha, Samantha, Charles
R., Katelyn and Bradley; two great grandchildren, Jed and Trinity;
nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews; one special niece,
Brandy Roach; two very special great nieces Candice Richardson and
Danni Bockover; special great nephew, Troy Richardson II; three very
special friends that were like brothers, Chuck Eudy, Bob Chew and
Bill Swan.
Visitation was held Monday, June 18, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral was at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at the
Britton Funeral Home with Rev. James Gruver, officiating.
Pallbearers were Bill Cook, Robert Branson, Troy Richardson, Jr.,
Brian Littrell, Bobby Bockover and Jesse Bockover.
Interment was private.

Neva Leona Dunham
Neva Leona Dunham of St. James, Missouri was born on
Saturday, November 15, 1930 at Huzzah, Missouri to the union on
James E. Britton and Ettie J. (nee Holtz) Britton and passed away
Thursday, June 14, 2007 at St. James, Missouri at the age of 76
years, 6 months and 29 days.
Leona was united in marriage on March 21, 1970 at the
Lutheran Church of Cuba, Missouri to Robert Dunham and to this union
one son was born.
She worked as a quilter for the past 25 plus years and in
her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning,
crocheting, embroidering, helping on the farm, but what was most
important to her was spending time with her family and friends,
especially Thanksgiving and Christmas when everyone would get
together and she got to do lots of cooking.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers,
Earnest and wife Georgia Britton and Jack and wife Anna Mae Britton;
three sisters, Daisy and husband Austin Volner, Mollie and husband
Wade Watson and Lydia Britton and other relatives and friends.
She is survived by husband; one son, Bobby Dunham, both of
St. James, Missouri; two brothers, John and wife Cecilia Britton and
James and Edwina Britton, all of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews and
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Friday, June 15, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2007
at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Terry
Mahurin officiating. Special music for the service was “Go Rest High
on That Mountain” and “When I Get To Where I’m Going.”
Serving as pallbearers were James Britton, Paul Hanks,
Jerry Hanks, Frank Gibson, Robert Herberger, Curtis Dunakey and
honorary pallbearers were Roger Volner and Jesse Gibson.
Interment at Skaggs Cemetery, Huzzah, Missouri.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Joseph E. Keymann
Joseph E. “Joe” Keymann, 84, Steelville, Missouri, was
born Thursday, June 29, 1922 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of
Aloys George and Anna M. (Lamprecht) Keymann, and passed away
Thursday evening, June 14, 2007 at the Gibbs Care Center in
Steelville, Missouri.
Joe was married to Virginia Hoeft and to this union one
daughter and one son was born. After her death he married Virginia
Decker who also preceded him in death.
He had been a cattle farmer on the Keymann family farm on
Blount Road. He served in the Army-Air Force from 1942 to 1945 with
the rank of Corporal. He was a member of the Huzzah Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, David Keymann and wife Kathy of
Newburg, Missouri; daughter, Beverly Missey and husband Leroy of
Potosi, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sieu-my Moran and husband Gary;
two step daughters, Beverly Menkhus and husband Bob of St. Louis,
Missouri and Linda Moss and husband Ed of Maryland Heights,
Missouri; special friend, Sally Becker.
Six grandchildren, Andy Keymann and wife Amanda, Alvina
Hayes and husband James, Alfreda VanBladel and husband Tony, Leroy
Missey II and special friend Heather Wideman, Rusty Missey and wife
Amber and Jamie Missey; five step grandchildren, Rachelle Moss, Ryan
Moss and wife Becky, Christy Lucas and husband Bryan, Jennifer
Menkhus and Robbie Menkhus and wife Jessica; six great grandchildren
and six step great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11
a.m. at the Keymann Family Cemetery on the family farm with Rev.
Leonard Moreland officiating. Military Honors were provided by the
Missouri Military Honors Team.
Arrangements were under the direction of the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, Missouri.
Lawrence Dennis Mullen, Jr.
Lawrence Dennis Mullen, Jr., affectionately known as
“Junior,” passed away on May 12, 2007 in Mesa, Arizona. He is
survived by his wife of 64 years, Maxine Viehman, daughter of
Clarence Viehman and Carnie Edwards.
Larry was born in Steelville, Missouri on June 16, 1923,
the first child and only son of Lawrence D. Mullen and Imogene
Wallis.
He is survived by his sisters Mary and Margaret of St.
Louis, Missouri and Georgia Faye of Steelville, Missouri. His
sister Melba of Steelville, Missouri preceded him in death.
He married his high school sweetheart, Maxine Viehman in
December 1942 following his first year and a half at the University
of Missouri. He enlisted in the service in December of 1942; he
served in Okinawa. He returned to his studies on the GI Bill and
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural education and
later a Master’s degree in education, both from UMC.
He taught Vocational Agriculture in Stet and Salisbury,
Missouri and was the District Supervisor for the State Department of
Education in Cameron, Missouri before settling in Columbia, Missouri
in 1960. There he was plant supervisor of the printing facility for
the University of Missouri Columbia for almost 25 years.
Following his career, he and Maxine moved to Mesa, Arizona
upon retirement in 1985. Larry was an avid fisherman and square
dancer. He and Maxine had two daughters, Sharon and Gayle—both of
whom followed his footsteps into teaching careers; Larry’s
son-in-laws Philip Stahl and Craig St. John are both professors.
He had five grandchildren, Damien and wife Kristin
Voellinger, Eva Marie and husband Mathew Brown, and Christian Stahl
and wife Elisa Fletcher, and Andrew Michael and Hayley Kathleen St.
John. There are six great grandchildren, Philip Damien Stahl, III,
Ella Jane Brown, Ingrid Drees Stahl, Wilson Charles Stahl, Simon
Lawrence Brown, and Dayton Murphy Stahl.
He will be greatly missed by all of his family including
brothers-in-law Leroy “Bud”, Leslie, Ralph and Richard Viehman,
Eugene Haberstock, Edward Hinch and Dean Wymer and sisters-in-law
Irene Eaton, Ava, Dorothy “Dot”, Ardell, and Marlyn Viehman and all
of his nieces, nephews, and Mullen and Wallis cousins.
He will be missed also by neighbors, colleagues and
friends, especially Jane Ritchie in Arizona.
Memorial Service will be held at the Steelville
Presbyterian Church, 1st and High Street on June 30, 2007 at 1 p.m.
Lunch immediately following in the church hall.
William Bernard Pfeiffer
William “Bill” Bernard Pfeiffer of Cuba, Missouri was born
to the union of William J. Pfeiffer and Agatha C. Pfeiffer (nee Bax)
on August 26, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Thursday,
June 7, 2007 in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 64 years, 9 months
and 11 days.
Bill was self-employed as an electrician and was the former
owner of Medallion Electric Company in Cuba and Sullivan. He proudly
served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of V.F.W. Post
#7147 and Cuba Memorial Post #522 A.L.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother,
Richard Pfeiffer.
He is survived by his special friend and companion, Fran
Eickhoff of Cuba, Missouri; one daughter, Diana and husband Steven
Prusik of Sullivan, Missouri; two sons, William B. and wife Francine
Pfeiffer II of Jerome, Missouri and Jason Pfeiffer and fiance
Mackenzie Keogh of Cuba, Missouri.
Two brothers, Robert and wife Sandy Pfeiffer of Sullivan,
Missouri and Eugene Pfeiffer of Cuba, Missouri; three sisters,
Barbara Vaughan of Rolla, Missouri, Jeanette and husband Roland
Douglas of Branson West, Missouri and Ellen and husband Paul Doyle
of Cuba, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, two great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, June 9, 2007 from 9-11 a.m.
at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was Saturday, June 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at
Britton Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri with full
military honors.
Rosemary Ross
Rosemary Ross of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of
Ernest G. Williams and Virginia Hallie (Adair) Williams on November
1, 1944 in Cuba, Missouri and passed away Monday, June 11, 2007 in
Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 62 years, 7 months and 10 days.
Rosemary was united in marriage to Jerry L. Ross on August
31, 1974 in Cuba, Missouri.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba and
the Cuba V.F.W. Post #7147 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening,
her dogs Peaches and Riley, her cat Tiger, puzzles, computer, card
and board games, but most of all she cherished her family and all of
the times that they shared together.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of Cuba, Missouri; two sons,
David Leslie and fiancé Kathy Riley of Cuba, Missouri, Jerry Dean
Ross of Rolla, Missouri; two daughters, Anna and husband Steve
Wadlow of Cuba, Missouri, Christine and husband Brad Mounce of
Steelville, Missouri; two brothers, James and wife June Williams of
Ft. Myers, Florida and Morris and wife Lois Williams of Holts
Summit, Missouri; one sister, Florence and husband Harold Chapman of
Cuba, Missouri; 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 5-8 p.m.
at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with a VFW Ladies Auxiliary
Service at 7 p.m.
Funeral was held Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 1 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Knight, officiating. Those
serving as pallbearers were Bradley Mounce, Christopher Ross, Billy
Ross, Casey Wadlow, Brandon Ross and Ryan Nelson. Interment in
Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Frances M. Skyles
Frances M. “Nonna” Skyles was born on Thursday, September 23, 1920
at Knob View, Missouri to the union of Ulisse “Bill” Roso
and Flora (nee Piazza) Roso and passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007
at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Frances was united in marriage at Rosati, Missouri on
September 18, 1937 to Robert Wm. Skyles and to this union 10
children were born.
Frances worked for Convey Heel Company, Cuba, Missouri, as
a “Cover Girl” the one who puts the covers on the heels, for over 20
years.
The most important thing in Frances’ life was spending time
with her family, but in spare time she enjoyed making jelly (all
kinds) and giving it away to everyone she met. She enjoyed baking,
cooking, gardening, reading, making fried bread, palenta and
homemade ravioli. If you ever went for a walk with her you would
remember she walked and you had to run to keep up with her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three
brothers, George, Ray and Ed Roso; four sisters, Mabel Navarro,
Sadie Krewson, Corrine Henry and Anna Adams and other relatives and
friends.
She is survived by four sons, Larry and wife Kathy Skyles
and Robert Leland Skyles all of Rosati, Missouri, Burl and wife Kim
Skyles of Clanton, Alabama and Joseph and wife Juanita of Cuba,
Missouri; six daughters, Myra Hughes of St. James, Missouri, Verna
Jean and husband Ron Zuidema of Morrison, Illinois, Eunice Nixon of
Rolla, Missouri, Nancy and husband Earl Vincent, Toni and husband
Roger Vance and Carrie and husband Jack Reiner, all of Cuba,
Missouri.
Three sisters, Dorothy Zulpo of Rosati, Missouri, Emma
Licklider of Cuba, Missouri and Irene and husband Doy Jones of
Jerome, Missouri; one sister-in-law, Marge Roso of Collinsville,
Illinois; one brother-in-law, Austin Adams of St. James, Missouri;
23 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; five great great
grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at
Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral Mass was at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at
Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba, Missouri with Rev. James Finder
officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Brian Skyles, Harley
Skyles, Randy Weller, Dena Hope, Renee Branson, Zackery Nixon and
Corey Skyles.
Interment at Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Carla Jane Wear
Carla Jane Wear, nee Sparks, of Cook Station, Missouri was
born on Saturday, November 27, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Parker
Sparks and Grace Margaret Hoffmeister Sparks and passed away on
Sunday, June 10, 2007 in the Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan,
Missouri at the age of 63 years, 6 months and 14 days.
She married Earl David Wear on April 22, 1986 at Jefferson
Barracks, St. Louis, Missouri. When living in St. Louis, Missouri
she was a member of Rockport Baptist Church, Arnold, Missouri where
she taught Sunday School and sang in the church choir. She
previously worked as secretary for the Bass Canoe Rental,
Steelville, Missouri. She also was a member of the Steelville
Country Club. Her hobbies were playing piano, working crossword
puzzles, fishing, floating, deer hunting, being outdoors, attending
ballgames and especially watching Earl play ball.
She is preceded in death by her parents; stepson, Wayne
Wear.
She is survived by her husband of the home; children,
Charles “Chuck” Isaac (Becky) of Kansas City, Missouri, David Isaac
(Michelle) of Festus, Missouri, Cindy Gorse of Mesquite, Texas; step
children, David Wear of High Ridge, Missouri, Allan Wear (Cindy) of
St. Peters, Missouri, Barry Wear (Erin) of Fenton, Missouri and
Earlene Derousse (Kevin) of St. Genevieve, Missouri; four
grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren;
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 5-8 p.m. at
the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Hutson
Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Bob Coleman and Rev.
Delmar Hutson officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery,
Steelville, Missouri.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri.
