Cynthia Lois Jennings
Cynthia Lois Jennings was born Friday, January 3, 1958 in Texarkana, Texas
to Jack David Chandler and Dorothy Mae O'Neal Chandler and departed this
life Monday, June 12, 2000 at the age of 42 years 5 months and 9 days.
Cynthia married Michael Jennings on April 21, 1990 in Everett, Washington
and to this union one daughter Alisha was born.
Cynthia worked as an assembler in an electronic factory before moving to
Steelville, MO. and recently worked as a waitress at River Mist Restaurant.
She enjoyed camping, motorcycle riding, horseback riding, water skiing, and
as a child in junior high played softball and won several awards. Cynthia
recently attended the Rivers of Life Fellowship Church in Steelville, where
she ask Jesus into her heart.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, and two infant brothers.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving husband Michael
Jennings and daughter Alisha Mae Jennings, her loving father and mother
Jack and Dorothy Chandler of Yuma, AZ; her brothers Jack David Chandler Jr.
of Marysville, WA; and Stenven James Chandler and wife Cherl of Marysville,
WA; and her sister Debra M. Pena of Riverside, CA;
Her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Pat and Ron Merritt of Steelville,
MO; Jim and Brenda Jennings of Anacortes, WA; George and Glenna Jennings of
Lebanon, MO; John Jennings of Wooly, WA; and Robert and Yonie Jennings of
Anacortes, WA; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends
all who will sadly miss and fondly remember Cynthia Lois Chandler Jennings.
Visitation was held on June 15, 2000 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hutson
Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at the Hutson Funeral Chapel in Steelville,
Missouri, on June 15, 2000 at 2 p.m. with Pastor David Cartee officiating.
Pallbearers were Mark Earney, Alan Franklin, Matthew Franklin, Goerge
Jennings, Michael Jennings, and Haskel Stegall.
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Mo.
Mary Ellen Clark
Mary Ellen Bueltmann Clark was born March 5, 1954 in St. Louis, Mo. to Paul
and Eileen (Barker) Bueltmann and departed this life June 14, 2000 at the
St. James Nursing Home, St. James, Mo. at the age of 46 years 3 months and
9 days.
Mary Ellen graduated from Riverview Gardens High School, June 17, 1973, in
St. Louis, Mo. She married Brian Clark on October 14, 1977 and to this
union two daughters were born. She loved the outdoors and animals, she
showed Gated Horses and won several ribbons and trophies. She enjoyed music
and liked to draw.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, David Bueltmann.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving children Karen Clark
Henke and husband Philip of Steelville, Mo. and Tammy Clark of Steelville,
Mo. Brian and her special friend Anne Clark.
Two brothers, Paul E. Bueltmann and wife Jinny of Waianae, Hawaii and
Richard Bueltmann and wife Gloria of St. Louis, Mo., and one sister-in-law
Candy Bueltmann of Iola, TX.
Her mother-in-law Edie Derda of Steelville, Mo. Her brothers and
sisters-in-law, Jerry Clark and wife Sue of St. Louis, Mo.; Keith Clark of
Steelville; and Kreg Derda and wife Judy of Stanton, Missouri. Nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends, all who will sadly
miss and fondly remember Mary Ellen Bueltmann Clark.
Visitation was held Saturday, June 17, 2000 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the
Hutson Funeral in Steelville, Mo.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 17, 2000 at the Hutson
Funeral Chapel in Steelville, Mo. with Rev. Kurt Simmons and Pastor Alan
Franklin officiating.
Burial was in the Derda Family Cemetery in Butts, Mo. All arrangements
under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.
Anna Karpowecz Reel
Anna Karpowecz Reel of Cuba, Mo. was born in Poland on January 22, 1911 and
passed away on June 12, 2000 at Cuba, Mo. at the age of 89 years 4 months
and 20 days.
Anna was a member of the Catholic Faith and attended Holy Cross Church of
Cuba, Mo. until her health failed her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Edward Karpowecz.
Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her loving
husband Wilbur Reel; one son Frank Karpowecz and wife Ann; grandchildren
Frank Karpowecz and wife Sheila, James Karpowecz and wife Paula, Michael,
Kenny, Billy, Eddie and Cindy Karpowecz; step-grandchildren Sheri
Pogorzelski and husband John, Jerry Montgomery and wife Nancy and James
Montgomery; one brother Charles Chamanick; great-grandchildren;
great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Anna was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, good friend to
all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
Memorial Services for Anna Karpowecz Reel was held on Monday, June 19, 2000
at 2 p.m. at the Britton Chapel, Cuba, Mo. with Father Bob Duesdieker
officiating. All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
Randy Lee Brand
Randy Lee Brand was born Wednesday, October 15, 1958, at Rolla, Mo., a son
of the late George W. Brand, Sr. and Marilee Brand (nee Cartee).
He entered eternal rest Friday, June 9, 2000, at his home in Steelville,
Mo., at the age of 41 years, 7 months and 24 days.
On April 12, 1981, Randy was united in marriage to Linda Barrows. One
daughter, Crystal, was born to this union.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his wife Linda Brand of
Mesa, Arizona; his daughter, Crystal and husband Bruce Williams of
Steelville, Mo.; one brother, George W. Brand, Jr. of Gerald, Mo.; a
step-brother, Vincent Halbert and wife Peggy of Cuba, Mo.
Mother-in-law and father-in-law, Irvin and Wilma Barrows of St. Ann, Mo.;
two aunts, Delight Kehr of Steelville, Mo. and Norma Pearline Whittingham
of Phoenix, Arizona, and one uncle Leroy Brand of Steelville, Mo.; nieces,
nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Randy Lee Brand lay in state 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2000, at
the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo. Funeral services were
held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, in the Britton Chapel with Rev.
Andy Gray officiating.
Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery, Steelville,
Mo. Pallbearers were Robin Bell, Marty Laser, Shawn Nivens, Moses Sterling,
Bruce D. Williams and Bruce L. Williams.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home,
Steelville, Mo.
Michael L. Stotler
Michael L. Stotler was born September 30, 1942 in Steelville, Mo. and
passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2000, after a long illness, at the age of 57
years, eight months and 13 days.
He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Sharon S. Stotler, nee Herren, a son
Matthew L. Stotler, of the home, a daughter, Heather and her husband Tom
Scharer, Bridgeton, and his parents Louie and Audra Stotler, of Stellville.
He was a dear brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and friend to his many
customers.
Michael was an alumni of Steelville R-3 High School and a barber by
profession. He and his wife made their home in Hazelwood.
He was a member of American Legion Post #4444 in Florissant.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 16 at 9 a.m. at Hutchens Mortuary
in Florissant.
He was laid to rest with full military rites at Jefferson Barracks National
Cemetery.
Pamela Jean Olms Land
Pamela Jean Olms Land was born February 9, 1960 in St. Louis, Mo. to Jack
and Venita Mae Marston Olms and departed this life June 11, 2000 at her
parents home east of Steelville, Mo. at the age of 40 years, 4 months and 2
days.
Pamela attended Steelville Schools.
Pamela married Harold "Ricky" Land on August 13, 1977 and to this union one
son was born. They later adopted their granddaughter April Janet Land.
She and Ricky made their home together in Cherryville, Mo. for 23 years.
Pamela accepted the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Steelville, Mo. She worked for Brown Shoe Company before its closure, and
later worked for San Val Book Binding Company and the Steelville Schools
before her health failed her. She enjoyed collecting Beanie Babies and
loved her grandchildren and family very much.
Pamela was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving husband Ricky Land of
Cherryville, Mo.; her loving children Ricky Joe Land and wife Katie of
Steelville, Mo., and April Janet Land of the home; one grandson Ricky Joe
Land, Jr.; her parents, Jack and Venita Olms of Steelville, Mo.
Her brothers and sisters, Debbie Gladden and husband Joe of Burke,
Virginia, Janet Olms of Cuba, Mo., Jack Olms and wife Deena of Hurst,
Texas, Donna Olms of Cuba, Mo., Mike Olms of Steelville, Mo. and Valley
Becker and husband Jimmy of Steelville, Mo.
Her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Judy Wade of Steelville, Mo., Gary
Weaver of Berryman, Mo., Linda and Bill Missey of Berryman, Mo. and Kathy
Ramsey of Cuba, Mo.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
all who will sadly miss and fondly remember Pamela Jean Olms Land.
Visitation was held on June 13, 2000 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Hutson
Funeral Home in Steelville, Mo.
Funeral services were held at the Hutson Funeral Chapel in Steelville, Mo.
on June 14, 2000 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Delmar B. Hutson officiating.
Pallbearers were Paul Sweeney, Warren Combs, Bill Missey, Jimmy Becker, Joe
Gladden, and Rick Heitz. Valerie Hutson played the piano and sang How Great
Thou Art and Jesus Is Tenderly Calling.
All arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Mo.
Wilbur Russell Price
Wilbur Russell Price, 83, of Owensville, died Sunday, June 11, 2000, at
Frene Valley Healthcare south of Owensville.
He was born on November 19, 1916, in Bland, a son of James and Emma
Eatheron Price. He married Melba E. Loeb on August 1, 1936, at St. Peter's
UCC in Owensville. She preceded him in death.
Mr. Price is survived by two daughters, Marcella Smith of O'Fallon, and
Rosalie Winkelmann and her husband, Harvey of Cuba; two sisters, Esther
Rehmert and Elda Hart of Bland; one half-brother, Junior Loeb, Owensville;
four grandchildren, Perry Smith and his wife Cheryl, Fenton, Rita Conaway
and her husband Brandon, Windemere, Florida, Kelly Conte, San Diego,
California, and Kent Winkelmann, Chesterfield, Mo.; three
great-grandchildren, Devin and Kurtiss Smith and Kylie Conaway; and one
step-great-grandchild, Eric Sabourin.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Price; one half-brother,
Lawrence Hosfeld; and one half-sister, Eleanor Fuchs.
He was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Bem.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at St. John's United
Church of Christ in Bem, with the Rev. Todd Hackman officiating. Burial was
in the Owensville City Cemetery.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Gttenstroeter Funeral Home in
Owensville.
