Donald Nathan Albertson
Donald Nathan Albertson, of St. James, Missouri was born October 3, 1926 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Fred and Alice (McFarland) Albertson and passed away
June 20, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri.
Donald attended the Rolla High School.
In January 1945 he entered into the United States Army and proudly served
his country during WWII. After he returned home to Vichy, he went to work
with his dad in the “Juke Box and “Pin Ball” machine business. The machines
were located in many businesses throughout Phelps, Maries and Dent counties.
In the summer of 1947, Don met LaVaughn Jewell Smith. They were married
two years later in St. Louis, Missouri on August 13, 1949.
Don went to work for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation and stayed until
his retirement 34 years later. After retiring Don and LaVaughn bought some
land 19 miles South of Rolla, Missouri in Lacoma, Missouri. They lived there
for ten years before moving to St. James, Missouri.
Donald was baptized into the Church of Christ in Vichy, Missouri. His
job, home and family were the most important part of his life. His hobbies
include, fishing, hunting and carpentry, especially “remodeling and home
improvement.” His greatest gift was time spent with wife and children,
and taking family photos was his greatest pleasure.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, LaVaughn Jewell Albertson; children,
Kenneth H. Albertson and wife Norma of High Ridge, Missouri, Larry L.
Albertson and wife Linda of St. James, Missouri, Debra S. Blair of
St. James, Missouri, Richard L. Albertson and wife Linda of St. John,
Missouri; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at James & Gahr Mortuary
in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the St. James Chapel
of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Chaplain Alan Amos officiating.
Interment was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery with full military honors.

Cassie Lea (Brady) Black
Cassie Lea (Brady) Black was born on April 25, 1988 in Royal Oak, Michigan,
to Glenn C. and Shelli L. (Morefield) Black and passed away on June 20, 2011
in St. James, Missouri at the age of 23 years, 1 month and 26 days of age.
She is survived by her loving parents, Glenn C. and Shelli L. (Morefield)
Black of St. James, Missouri; one daughter, Camille Lea Brady of St. James,
Missouri; paternal grandmother, Nancy Duncan of St. James, Missouri;
paternal grandfather, Gaylan Morefield of Mayfield, Kentucky; maternal
grandmother, Silva of Michigan; one brother, Bryan Duncan of Kansas City,
Missouri; one sister, Amber Richardson of Indiana; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, June 24, 2011, from 5-8 p.m. at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 a.m. at
the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in
St. James, Missouri.
Helen Lois Conkey
Helen Lois Conkey of Cuba, Missouri was born on June 20, 1923 in Stigler,
Oklahoma to Jesse Hayden and Virga Mae (Ratteree) Olive and passed Friday,
June 24, 2011 at the age of 88 years.
She attended various grade schools in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated
from Soldan High School.
She worked in Detroit, Michigan for the Army Ordnance Dept during WWII.
There she met George Conkey and later married him on September 29, 1944.
They spent 60 years together before his passing on July 24, 2005.
After retiring from Monsanto Company in June 1985, she and George moved to
Bella Vista, Arkansas, where they made their home for the next 17 years.
Helen was active in her church and community as a member of Women on Mission,
the Indian Hills Ladies Auxiliary, Cuba Cuties Red Hat Group and played golf
at Cuba Lakes as a member of the Women’s 9-hole golf group.
She is survived by three daughters, Louise Johnson and husband Larry,
Jeanette Pitman and husband Douglas and Karen Bell and husband William;
four grandchildren, Andy (Karen) Johnson, Donald Pitman, George (Valerie)
Brier and Amy (Ken) Boenker; two step grandsons, Tom (Donna) Bell and Todd
(Katie) Bell; six great grandchildren, Jillian Johnson, Vanessa, Justin and
Melissa Orf, Nicholas Brier and Tommy Bell; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the
First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri with a private service and inurnment
following in St. Louis, Missouri.

Ella Jane “Jean” Conway
Ella Jane “Jean” Conway of Cuba, Missouri was born to Onest and Edna
(Border) Storz on Friday, September 29, 1933 in Advance, Missouri and
passed away Monday June 20, 2011 at her home at the age of 77 years,
8 months and 22 days.
Ella was united in marriage to Richard C. Conway on October 25, 1952 in
Pocahontas, Arkansas and to this union three sons were born.
Ella retired from Rite Point Manufacturing Company in St. Louis, Missouri
after many years of dedicated service. She was a member of St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church and served as her boys Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She
enjoyed taking care of her children, crocheting and making dolls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Onest and Edna Storz; husband,
Richard C. Conway and one sister, Doris Phelan.
She is survived by her three sons, Mark Conway and wife Karen of Cuba,
Missouri, David Conway and wife Rae Jean of Springfield, Missouri, Richard
Conway, Jr. and wife Paula of Festus, Missouri; three grandchildren, Capri
Conway, Mark Conway, Jr. and Shera Conway; one brother, Danny Storz and
wife Rose of Mountain Home, Arkansas; one sister, Wilma Monroe of
Farmington, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Wittmaier, officiating.
Interment followed at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Willa Mae Dennison
Willa Mae Dennison of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Huntington, West Virginia
was born November 17, 1926 at Huntington, West Virginia to Robert and Vesta
(nee: Kessler) McComas and passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Phelps
County Regional Medical Center, Rolla, Missouri at the age of 84 years.
Willa spent her life taking care of others. She was mom to her three children
Acie, Virginia and David and then became Mom to many foster children in
Huntington, West Virginia for nearly 20 years and did this as a single
parent. Willa attended the Church of Christ in Huntington for many decades
without ever missing a Sunday or Wednesday evening service. Willa believed
her calling was to always help others.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vesta McComas; two
sons, Acie and David Sayre; six sisters, Dolly McComas, Della Gilbert,
Georgie McComas, Francis Elkins, Margaret Willoughby and Ruth Adkins; one
brother Walther McComas; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia “Ginger” and husband Howard
Sansoucie of Cuba, Missouri; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren;
great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. until service
time at 1 p.m. at the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Interment and prayers will follow at the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba,

Cuba, Missouri.
Lynn “Lenny” Hewkin
Lynn “Lenny” Hewkin of Steelville, Missouri was born March 26, 1937 in
St. Louis, Missouri to William Silas and Clella Greenwood Hewkin and passed
away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at his home at the age of 74 years.
On December 23, 1960 in Jennings, Missouri, he was united in marriage to
Ruby Carol Cole.
From the 1960’s through the early 1980’s, Lenny owned a grocery store in
North St. Louis, Missouri. During that same period of time and as a musician,
he professionally played his guitar. In 1985, he and Carol moved back home
to Steelville where he continued to be self-employed in real estate.
He attended the Change of Heart Church in Cuba, Missouri. With his singing
abilities, he always loved to sing and was part of the trio with his brother
Jim Hewkin, his friend, Don Britton and accompanied on piano by his sister
Darlene Cape.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clella Hewkin; his
wife, Carol Hewkin on June 9, 1995; brothers, Buster Hewkin and wife Vera,
Donald Hewkin, Rodney Hewkin, Homer Hewkin and Jim Hewkin; sisters, Eloise
Garms and Naomi Boll and husband Walter.
He is survived by his son Jason Hewkin of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters,
Darlene Cape and husband Jim of Cuba, Missouri and Colleen Woolbright and
husband Glen of Manchester, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, June Hewkin of
St. Louis, Missouri, Leora Hewkin of Davisville, Missouri and Marilyn Hewkin
of Cuba, Missouri; brother-in-law, Jay Garms of Steelville, Missouri; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Pastor Terry
Mahurin officiating.
Memories were shared by Joanee Mahurin and Darlene Cape. Special music of
“If I Can Help Somebody” was sung by Don Britton and accompanied on piano
by Darlene Cape. A CD of special music was played of songs sung by Lenny
Hewkin, Jim Hewkin and Don Britton accompanied on piano by Darlene Cape.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Turnbough Cemetery at Davisville,
Missouri.
Casket bearers were Jason Hewkin, Michael Hewkin, Mark Hewkin, Tommy
Hewkin, Brian Jeffries and Aaron Owens.

Walter T. Kendrick, Jr.
Walter T. Kendrick, Jr. was born on February 16, 1929 at Sullivan, Missouri
to Walter Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Cannon) Kendrick, of St. James,
Missouri, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri, and passed away Sunday,
June 19, 2011 at the age of 82 years.
He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during WWII. Walter later
was employed by the City of Sullivan in the Street Department. Walter was
known for his sense of humor and patriotism toward his country.
He is survived by three sons, Walter, Dennis and Gary Kendrick; several
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 from
the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor
Scott Perry officiating.
Interment, with full military honors, was in National Cemetery, Jefferson
Barracks, Missouri.

Diana Ledbetter
Diana Ledbetter of Rogers, Arkansas, was born on April 1, 1957 at Fairfield,
Illinois to Donal and Mildred (Barbre) Quick, passed away passed away at
Springfield, Missouri on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the age of 54 years.
She was raised in the St. Louis, Missouri area.
On May 10, 1975 she was united in marriage to Roger Ledbetter.
Diana enjoyed quilting and traveling when she could, but foremost in her
life was her children and great grandchildren. She was very family oriented,
loved Southern gospel music and had a strong Christian faith. Diana was a
member of Freedom Worship Center in Rogers, Arkansas.
She is survived by a son, Eric Ledbetter and wife Elizabeth of Rogers, Arkansas;
daughter, Tina Flowers and husband Barry of Rogers, Arkansas; her father, Donal
Quick of Rolla, Missouri; one brother, Donnie Quick and wife Sandra of Bourbon,
Missouri; sister, Tammy Buhl and husband Ahren of Rogers, Arkansas; six
grandchildren, Vada, Jacqueline, Amber-Nichole, Shayla, Joshua and Travest;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from
the Family Worship Center, Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m., June 22, 2011 from the Family
Worship Center in Sullivan with Pastor Gary Cline officiating.
Interment was in the Bay Cemetery, Bunker, Missouri.

Don Earl Olive
Don Earl Olive of St. James, Missouri was born September 5, 1926 in Paducah,
Kentucky to Fred Denny and LaVerne Turner and passed away June 23, 2011 at
the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James at the age of 84 years.
Don proudly served his country in the United State Navy during WWII. His
hobbies included fishing, hunting, woodworking, whittling and bowling. His
passion was birds, Don truly enjoyed feeding them or just watching them, he
was also a very knowledgeable bird watcher. He loved seeing the many
different varieties of birds that came along.
Don was united in marriage to Barbara Jean Copeland in May of 1981;
joining together they raised 15 children. Don loved each child like they
were his own and the word “STEP” was not used by anyone in the family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and LaVerne; wife, Barbara
Jean Olive who passed away October 27, 2009; son, Michael Copeland; brother,
Paul Olive and sister, Ruth Amos.
He is survived by his children, Don Olive Jr., LaVerne Johnson, Joe Olive,
Kathy Berry, Patricia Olive, Michael Olive, Diane Bishop, of Fulton Missouri,
J.R. Copeland of St. Peters, Missouri, Donna Usery and husband Don of

Bruce A. Palmer Jr.
Bruce A. Palmer Jr. of Ellisville, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri
was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on March 6, 1925 to Bruce A. and Mary
(Giedeman) Palmer and passed away Friday June 24, 2011.
Bruce was born and raised in East St. Louis, Missouri and later moved to
St. James, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the United States Army
during WWII as a paratrooper. He retired from Sears after 38 years of service
in 1984. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lenna (Rice) Palmer of the home;
sons, John Palmer and wife Marilyn of Wildwood, Missouri, Bruce E. Palmer
and wife Karen of Edwardsville, Illinois; brother, Richard Palmer and wife
JoAnn of Fairview Heights, Illinois; sister, Pat Tucker of Belleview,
Illinois; grandchildren, Lindsey Tucknott and husband Bret, Lauren,
Christopher and Sarah Palmer; other relatives and friends.

Raymond O. Pasch of Cuba, Missouri was born to Albert H. and Clara L.
(Warnhoff) Pasch on October 27, 1924 in Fanning, Missouri and passed away
Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri
at the age of 86 years.
Raymond was united in marriage to Sylvia Snider on March 7, 1964 in Cuba,
Missouri.
Raymond was a carpenter and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army
during WWII, where he was awarded a Purple Heart and Three Bronze Stars.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert H. and Clara L. Pasch; wife,
Sylvia Pasch; one daughter, Judy McCoy; two sisters, Ella Rose (Omer) Hogan
and an infant sister; two brothers, Henry and Clarence Pasch.
He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Anderson of Cuba, Missouri; two
grandchildren, Steve and wife Amy Brusherd of Rolla, Missouri and Jessica

Harold L. Pitts of Bridgeton, Missouri was born on Thursday, June 20, 1946
in Cuba, Missouri to George and Pearl Fierce Pitts and passed away on
Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the age of 65 years and 5 days.
Harold married Janet Farrar on February 19, 1966 in Sullivan, Missouri and
to this union one daughter was born.
He owned and operated an auto repair business specializing in Mercedes Benz
for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Pearl Pitts; brother,
George Pitts; sister, Imogene Pitts; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Farrar and
special brother-in-law, Larry Farrar.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Pitts of Bridgeton, Missouri; daughter,
Terri Wisdom and husband Chad of Bunker, Missouri; brothers, James (Barbara)
Pitts of Arizona, Mack Pitts of Georgia and David (Vickie) Pitts of

Lillian E. Renick
Lillian E. Renick of Fulton, Missouri was born on April 25, 1948 in
Sullivan, Missouri and passed Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the age of 63 years.
After high school she attended some college classes but was a homemaker most
of her life, enjoying cooking, sewing, crocheting, reading, and watching TV.
She especially loved time spent with her nieces and nephews, treating them
as if they were her own children. She also enjoyed shopping for clothes,
dining out and listening to country & western music.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Lois Renick; two
brothers, Dennis and Joseph Renick; niece, Angela Renick, grandparents;
Walter and Sarah Spindler and Albert and Geraldine Renick; uncles, Elmer
Spindler, Al Spindler and Kenny Renick; aunts, Dorothy Spindler and Barbara
Sue Spindler.
She is survived by a brother, Dave Renick of Robertsville, Missouri; two

Thelma D. Rowland of Cuba, Missouri was born to Virgil R. and Eula “Viola”
(Richardson) Pratt on February 25, 1928 in Crawford County, Missouri and
passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in
St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 83 years.
Thelma was united in marriage to David Rowland on January 20, 1951 in
Salem, Arkansas and to this union two children were born.Thelma was a
Librarian at the Bourbon Library for many years and was a member of the
Slinderella’s Group in Bourbon. She enjoyed reading, cooking and taking care
of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil R. and Eula “Viola”
(Richardson) Pratt; husband, David Rowland; one son, Larry Rowland and
one sister, Rosalie Mayberry.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie and husband Michael Stephens
of Leasburg, Missouri; two granddaughters, Jennifer and husband John
Lindsey of Columbia, Missouri and Sarah Stephens of Leasburg, Missouri;
one great grandson, John David Lindsey; three brothers, Curtis and wife Tommy

Harlene Belle Sampson
Harlene Belle Sampson was born September 5, 1948 at Steelville, Missouri
and passed away June 20, 2011 at Salem, Missouri at the age of 62 years.
On June 13, 1967, Harlene Ives was united in marriage to George Sampson.
Harlene was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God. She enjoyed singing
and playing the piano and shopping, especially for jewelry.
She was preceded in death were her father, Harles Esco Ives and her husband,
George in 2008
She is survived by her children, Sonnya Hayes and husband Jimmy of Salem,
Missouri and Travis Sampson and fiancée Lindsey Geary of Salem, Missouri;
brothers, Terry Ives and wife Linda of Salem, Missouri and Keith Ives and
wife Debra of Highlands Ranch, Colorado; sisters, Karen Hane and husband Mike
of Salem, Missouri and Judy Light and husband Hershel of Steelville,
Missouri; three grandchildren, Erica Graham and husband John of Chicago,
Illinois, Rachelle Hayes of Salem, Missouri and Tiffany Hayes of Salem,

Funeral service was June 23, 2011 in the Wilson Mortuary (Salem) Chapel
with Bro. Bill Stack and Bro. Mike Cronk officiating.
Music was provided by Sheri Stack and Lindsey Geary.
Pallbearers were Donald Sampson, Rusty Dennis, Jared Ives, Aaron Harrison,
Mike Chilton and Larry Galloway. Larry Buettner and Brad Ives served as
honorary pallbearers.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Brandy Marie Saunders of St. James, Missouri was born on September 19, 1982

on Sunday, June 19, 2011 in St. James, Missouri at the age of 28 years and
9 months.
She was preceded in death by her father, James F. Mitchell.
She is survived by her mother, Eunice M. (Walls) Mitchell; one son, Joseph
Saunders of St. James, Missouri; two daughters, Klowie Saunders and Hannah
Pankey of St. James, Missouri; three brothers, William Walls and wife Susan
of Rolla, Missouri, James Mitchell and Christopher Mitchell and wife Heather
both of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral
Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the
Jones Funeral Home Chapel in St. James, Missouri with Craig Rippy
officiating.
Burial was in the family plot in Miles Cemetery in rural St. James,
Missouri.
Pallbearers were James Oliver, Brian Pankey, Steve Barnes, Wil Scheider,
Willy Scheider and Harold Walls.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Brenda J. Sportsman
Brenda J. Sportsman (nee Bennetsen) passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011
at the age of 68 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Delores Bennetsen.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Sportsman; son, Jason Sportsman and
wife Amber; daughter, Janet Dillon and husband Danny; grandchildren, Madison,
Elijah, Cole and Alec; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at
Collier’s Funeral Home in St. Ann, Missouri.
Graveside services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. on June 25, 2011 at the High
Gate Baptist Church Cemetery in rural St. James, Missouri.
Louie Turnbough
Louie Turnbough of Rosebud, Missouri was born in Davisville, Missouri on
October 17, 1917 to Carra (Coleman) and Riley Turnbough and passed away
Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his residence at the age of 93 years.
On March 27, 1965 in Union, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Almyra
Alice Thacker.
He was a member of the Rosebud Bethel Methodist Church and the Owensville
Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Turnbough; grandson, Ryan Turnbough;
brother, Cubert Turnbough; sister, Zelma Eaton; son-in-law, Joe Bobbitt;
sisters-in-law, Loretta Turnbough and Rebecca Turnbough and brother-in-law,
Pete Eaton.
He is survived by his wife, Almyra; sons, Melvin Adams and wife Rose of
Owensville, Missouri, Alan Turnbough and wife Karen of St. Clair, Missouri,
Neal Turnbough and wife Tina of Owensville, Missouri and Kent Turnbough and
wife Rea of Rosebud, Missouri; daughters, Dixie Bobbitt of Cherryville,
Missouri, Vicki Brown and husband Jack of Davisville, Missouri, Brenda
Kaihewalu of Washington, Missouri and Cindy Mistler and husband Jim of
Rosebud, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Darlene Turnbough of Cherryville,
Missouri; sister, Mildred Jackson and husband Albert of Lacanto, Florida;
brother, Ray Turnbough of Ft. Myers, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 34 great
grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation began at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the
Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the
Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, Missouri with Rev. Bill
Hafley officiating.
Burial was in the Rosebud Methodist Cemetery in Rosebud, Missouri.

Owensville, Missouri.
Donald Nathan Albertson
Donald Nathan Albertson, of St. James, Missouri was born October 3, 1926
in St. Louis, Missouri to Fred and Alice (McFarland) Albertson and passed
away June 20, 2011 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri.
Donald attended the Rolla High School.
In January 1945 he entered into the United States Army and proudly served
his country during WWII. After he returned home to Vichy, he went to work
with his dad in the “Juke Box and “Pin Ball” machine business. The machines
were located in many businesses throughout Phelps, Maries and Dent counties.
In the summer of 1947, Don met LaVaughn Jewell Smith. They were married
two years later in St. Louis, Missouri on August 13, 1949.
Don went to work for the McDonnell Douglas Corporation and stayed until his
retirement 34 years later. After retiring Don and LaVaughn bought some land
19 miles South of Rolla, Missouri in Lacoma, Missouri. They lived there for
ten years before moving to St. James, Missouri.
Donald was baptized into the Church of Christ in Vichy, Missouri. His job,
home and family were the most important part of his life. His hobbies include,
fishing, hunting and carpentry, especially “remodeling and home improvement.”
His greatest gift was time spent with wife and children, and taking family
photos was his greatest pleasure.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, LaVaughn Jewell Albertson; children,
Kenneth H. Albertson and wife Norma of High Ridge, Missouri, Larry L.
Albertson and wife Linda of St. James, Missouri, Debra S. Blair of St. James,
Missouri, Richard L. Albertson and wife Linda of St. John, Missouri; nine
grandchildren; several great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Thursday, June 23, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at James & Gahr Mortuary
in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were Friday, June 24, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the St. James Chapel
of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Chaplain Alan Amos officiating.
Interment was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery with full military honors.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James,
Missouri.
Evelyn G. Wurum
Evelyn G. Wurum of Wilmette, Illinois passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2011
at the age of 98 years.
Evelyn was a 1933 graduate of Northwestern University School of Commerce,
former executive of National Board of Realtors and Teacher for Chicago
Public Schools for 30 plus years including Carl Schurz High School.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Katharina Regeis
and sister, Julianna W. Horan.
Sh is survived by a niece, Dr. Catherine A. Horan and a cousin, Patricia
Regis.
Visitation was held Tuesday, June 21, 2010 at 10 a.m. until time of Funeral
Mass at 11 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Wilmette, Illinois.
Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at
the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in St. James, Missouri with
Father Charles Pardee officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Iva Arrena Wynn
Iva Arrena Wynn nee Feeler was born October 10, 1911 to Tilgham and Iva
(Spencer) Feeler at the home place near Vienna, Missouri and passed away
Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the
age of 99 years, 8 months and 14 days.
She was united in marriage to Charles Alvin Wynn in the Old Hotel in Vienna,
Missouri on February 20, 1930.
Her flowers were amazing, her gift of hospitality was known by many. Her
embroidery handiwork was gifted to many. She was also a very successful
fisher lady. She loved the Lord and taught Sunday School for years and
loved music and singing in the church choir. She attended the First Church
of God in St. James, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tilgham and Iva Feeler; her
husband, Charles, of 67 years, who passed away September 5, 1997 and 16
brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Maudy Luella Williams and husband Myron
Kent of White Cloud, Michigan and Charlet Arrena Hemme and husband Arthur
Eugene Hemme of St. James, Missouri; five grandchildren; 13 great grand-
children; seven great great grandchildren; sisters, Eithel Prewett and Naomi
Snodgrass and husband Ellis of Salem, Missouri; brothers, Jack Feeler and
wife Norma of Vichy, Missouri and Russell Burke Feeler and wife Jolene of
Vienna, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday June 28, 2011 at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the
First Church of God in St. James with Don Carson and Amy Turner officiating.
Music was provided by Linda Spurgeon, organist and Marty Moreland, vocalist.
Congregational Hymns - In the Garden and Heavenly Sunlight were offered.
Pallbearers were Zane Gahr, Jill Milligan, Jeritt Richardson, Mike Milligan,
Jerill McCallum and Randi Hemme.
Burial was in the family plot at the Rolla Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
