Beeman of Cuba, Missouri was born on October 9, 1961 in Fredericktown, Missouri and passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011 at his home at the age of 49 years. Michael served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years. He then worked for FEMA during Hurricane Katrina, before becoming disabled. He enjoyed reading, fishing, floating, camping, being at the river and ocean, rock-n-roll music and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Beeman; one sister, Linda DeClue and one niece, Sarah Hamilton. Griggs nee Lemons of Steelville, Missouri formerly of Flint, Michigan was born on Tuesday, April 9, 1929 to James Adkins and Mary Hopkins Lemons and passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the age of 82 years, 2 months and 20 days. Margie married Raymond I. Griggs, Sr. “Pete” on January 31, 1966. Margie lived in Flint, Michigan most of her life until her husband Pete’s death, then she moved to Steelville, Missouri, where she raised Norma and Jim. Later on watching McKinly, Justin, Tiffany, Tamara and their children grow up. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Cy Griggs; daughter, Becky Brewer; grandson, Kevin Dickson; sister, Ruby Starky and brother, Thomas King. William “Bill” Hendrix William “Bill” Hendrix of Bourbon, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri, was born on Sunday, July 2, 1933 in Steelville, Missouri to the late Esmer and Pearl Hatcher Hendrix and passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 22 days. Bill married Sally Walls on December 24, 1963 in Steelville, Missouri, and to this union four children were born. Bill accepted the Lord early in life at the Steelville Assembly of God Church in Steelville, Missouri. He worked at Cape & Kehner St. Clair Station as a pump attendant and for Gus Weidemeyer Tire Shop, both in Steelville, Missouri. He managed Hocker Oil in Steelville, Missouri and later worked at Boys Town in St. James, Missouri before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esmer and Pearl Hendrix; father-in-law, Jake Walls; brother, Jim Hendrix; sisters, Dorothy (Harry) Harman, Juanita Pennock and Linda Hendrix. Eldridge Holloway Mary Eldridge Holloway of St. James, Missouri was born on November 28, 1926 in Natick, Massachusetts to Clarence and Marion (Hills) Eldridge and passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on July 1, 2011. Mary Holloway was 84 years, 7 months and 3 days of age. Mary Holloway loved to do gardening, playing bridge and eating out with her bridge ladies. Most of all she loved doing things with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marion Eldridge and one sister, Clare Blinn. Kenneth Lee Holt Kenneth Lee Holt was born on February 10, 1934 to Burnice E. and Jewell A. (nee Bartle) Holt in St. James, Missouri and passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 9 days. Kenneth was united in marriage on January 19, 1951 to Betty L. (nee Bandy) Holt and this union of over 60 years there were four born. He retired from the long haul trucking industry in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnice and Jewell Holt; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arvil and Pearl Bandy, brothers, Edward A. and Donald E. Holt, sister, Bernita R. Megan attended Steelville Schools. She enjoyed watching volleyball and seeing her friends. As most young girls, she loved to shop, swim and watch movies. But most of all she loved her family and being with her grandmother. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Manford White and great grandparents, Louis and Virginia Koch and Theresa Brandt. Kitchen Clark W. Kitchen was born August 4, 1925 near Leasburg, Missouri to Samuel and Elfleada Kitchen and passed away May 22, 2011 at the age of 85 years, 9 months and 18 days. LTJG US Navy, Clark graduated the top of his aviator training class. He had been a farm boy, Navy Dive Bomber pilot, Driver Engineer at the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Fire Chief at Thule, Greenland and Ex Chiefest of the Sinners. He is survived by his children, Carl and Lei-Lani Kitchen, Kathy Forough, Karen Canfield, Kelly and Mike Rudd; five grandchildren; one great grand- child; sister, Pauline Wilson; other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life was at the Pulpit Rock Church, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Victor W. Lomax, Jr. Victor W. Lomax, Jr. of Rolla, Missouri was born January 16, 1928, to Victor William Lomax, Sr. and Elizabeth Marie (Garvey) Lomax, in Washington, D.C. and passed away June 30, 2011. He married Jacqueline Marie Bryant in 1951 and to this union one child was born. In 1981 he married Virginia (Zimmer) Lomax. Vic served in the United States Navy in the late 1940s. He attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana for four years, then joined his father-in-law in Chicago, Illinois to work in the mail order list broker business. He followed the business to New Jersey, then moved to Texarkana, Texas to assist in running the Pecan Joe chain of candy and souvenir stores. In 1964 he moved to Newburg, Missouri’s Pecan Joe store to become the owner, and he ran that store until Route 66 became I-44 in 1968 then bought Kenmark Sporting Goods in Rolla, Missouri, which he operated until 1978. In 1973 he completed his undergraduate degree in history at the University of Missouri-Rolla and then proceeded to earn his MBA from Drury University and his PhD in accounting from the University of Missouri. He taught at Drury University in Springfield and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Savannah State University in Savannah, Georgia; Troy State University on military bases in Germany and Italy; and Pikeville College in Pikeville, Kentucky, attaining the rank of full professor. He also served as the dean of the business school at Savannah State University. Upon retirement from teaching he and Virginia returned to live in Rolla, Missouri, where he taught part-time for Drury and Webster Universities. At Butler University Vic became a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity and he is an Eagle Scout.  He belongs to Christ Episcopal Church in Rolla and was recognized for his service to the University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri University of Science & Technology) by being named an Honorary Member of the St. Pat’s Board, an Honorary M-Club Member and an Honorary Knight of St. Patrick. Until recently he was a member of the Rolla Breakfast Rotary Club, having served as president. He has also been a member of Optimist International. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Virginia; his daughter, Lindsay Bagnall and husband Kent; step-daughter, Amy Hammer; step-son, Craig Corley and granddaughters, Hannah and Lydia Bagnall. A celebration of the life will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Rolla, Missouri on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 1 p.m. Timothy Don Pankey Timothy Don Pankey of St. James, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on September 17, 1963 to Tim and Donna (Butler) Pankey and passed away June 29, 2011 at the Phelps County Regional medical Center in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 47 years. Tim loved cars and being a mechanic by trade he enjoyed restoring and rebuilding them, his favorite being a 1930 Chevrolet truck that he spent five months rebuilding, Tim so proud of that truck that he went on to build himself a motorcycle “trike,” he loved riding that trike, and was proud to show it off. Tim enjoyed fishing, fish fry’s, car shows and just hanging out with his family and friends. He is survived by his girlfriend, Penny Roark of St. James, Missouri; sister, Terrie Pankey of St. James, Missouri; estranged wife, Irene Pankey of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Richard W. “Dick” Pauley Richard W. “Dick” Pauley of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, September 29, 1933 at St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Jane (nee Bayha) Pauley and passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Cuba, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 9 months and 22 days. Dick proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Charlotte Gee on August 10, 1955 and to this union two sons were born. Dick was owner/operator of P&E Associates Trucking Company in St. Louis for several years. After retiring they moved to Cuba in 1998 and Dick became the courier for the Bank of Sullivan for a few years. He enjoyed yard work and was an avid Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed watching the Bill O’Reilly show. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus of Cuba, VFW Post of Cuba and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church. What he truly enjoyed most was spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Jane Pauley; two brothers, Jerry and Doug Pauley. Roger Lile Tindall Roger Lile Tindall of Steelville, Missouri was born November 23, 1958 at St. Louis, Missouri to Paul and Corrine (nee Conaway) Tindall and passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 at his home. Roger was united in marriage to Laura Sperry on June 9, 1985 at Union, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Roger retired 2001 after working in a factory. He was a member of the Sullivan Family Worship Center, National Rifle Association and North American Hunting Club. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, boating, 4-wheelers and working in his garden. He raised vegetables for his family, church family and friends.
