Nancy worked several years as the Director of the Tri County Humane Society in St. James, Missouri. She loved traveling and taking care of animals, especially her horses and dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Thomas and Katherine G. (Lillingston) Green; husband of 59 years, John William Archer; and two children, John Thomas "J.T." Archer and Teresa "Terry" Archer. She is survived by her sister, Barb and husband Dex Laske of Phoenix, Arizona; one niece; and two great nieces; other relatives and friends. Robert Jeff Boa Robert Jeff Boa, known to most as "R.J.", of St. Clair, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 19, 1972 to Robert Allen and Judy Eileen Boa (nee Jeffries) and passed away on June 18, 2016 at the age of 43 years, 5 months and 30 days. On October 31, 2007 he was united in marriage to Jessica Lee Rench. R.J. was a Christian and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Union, Missouri. During his working career he was employed as a Certified Arborist for various tree trimming companies including Shade Tree, Aspen and Nelson Tree Service for about 10 years. R.J. was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 2 of St. Louis, Missouri. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association, an avid gun collector and also enjoyed building and repairing guns. R.J. loved the outdoors, going four wheeling and working on his Ford Bronco. He was proud to have recovered from his addiction and been free for over three years. Ronnie worked as a logger most of his life. He enjoyed classic cars, Harleys and spending time with his family and friends. Michael Sanford Halmick Michael Sanford Halmick of Bourbon, Missouri was born on November 6, 1954 to Warren Peter and Mae Marie Gamble Halmick at Sullivan, Missouri and passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the age of 61 years. Mike grew up in Sullivan, Missouri and attended and graduated from Sullivan High School class of 1974. He was employed as an Ironworker with Local 396 in St. Louis, Missouri for many years. For several years he worked in the Marshall Islands as an Ironworker. After retirement Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting his guns. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mae Halmick; and one brother, Craig Wright. He is survived by his brother, Guy Halmick of Sullivan, Missouri; nephew, Kyle Halmick; other relatives and friends. Riley Milford Hodge Riley Milford Hodge Sr. of Rolla, Missouri was born on August 10, 1937 in Rolla, Missouri to Aaron Sylvester "Dude" and Josie Myrtle (Cook) Hodge and passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 at the age of 78 years. On April 19, 1957 in Rolla, Missouri, he married Frances Louise Skyles. Riley received his GED and served as a weight inspector with the Missouri State Highway Patrol for over 33 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and watching old movies with Frances. He also spent a lot of time waiting for her as she shopped at thrift stores. He liked to tinker in his garage and could literally fix anything. Peters Johnson of Rosebud, Missouri was born on March 17, 1992 at St. Louis, Missouri to Christopher E. Johnson and Dawn Coggins and passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016 as the result of an accident at the age of 24 years. He grew up in the Sullivan, Missouri area and attended Sullivan Schools. Christopher enjoyed listening to music, being outdoors, camping, tattoos, watching movies and spending time with his family and many friends. Christopher was crazy about his daughter Kaylie and loved spending time with her most of all. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Coggins. Kemnitzer of Steelville, Missouri was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 29, 1924 to Henry and Nettie (Seiler) Kemnitzer and passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Henry was united in marriage to Mary Katherine Richardson on November 10, 1945. He worked as a supervisor on the Highway 44 project installing the spillways, but as the work got more distant from home, he decided to pursue an opportunity with the USGS, where he did topographic mapping for 28 years. In 1936 Henry's parents bought a farm near Steelville, Missouri, when he and Mary Katherine married they too would enjoy living on the farm. As their family grew they would reap the bounty of the beautiful river where they learned to swim and Henry taught them to float the river. They always had a big bountiful garden, and plenty of cattle. Henry still drove to Rolla, Missouri everyday to work, came home to farm, spent six years on the Steelville school board and served on the Cattleman's Association. Henry loved the Lord, his family, and life on the farm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Nettie Kemnitzer; and his wife, Mary Katherine Kemnitzer in 2011 He is survived by his children, Elaine Bausell and husband Richard of Chesterfield, Missouri, Carol Jean Kemnitzer of Steelville, Missouri, Henry N. Dorothy Lucille Lawson Dorothy Lucille Lawson of Cuba, Missouri, formerly of Rolla, Missouri, was born December 7, 1924 at Belle, Missouri to Charles and Flora Johnson and passed away on June 27, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Dot, as she was known by, attended grade school in Belle, Missouri and was an active and talented young girl. She then attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Missouri where she earned top grades, was a gymnast who excelled on the parallel bars, was a talented artist who won first place at Carnegie Hall for her pen and ink drawing and for developing a new oil painting technique. During WWII Dot was scouted by the All American Women's Softball Team for the position of catcher. This is the same team that Tom Hanks made a movie about "League of Their Own." In 1943 Dot married Glen Lawson. Soon after their wedding, Glen joined the service and was sent to Europe where he fought during WWII. During the war, Dot worked at an ammunition factory and was a volunteer for the Red Cross. She gave birth to twin boys. When Glen returned home, from the service, they had two more children. They eventually moved to California where Dot worked for the Cable Car Kitchen at Knott's Farm for many years. After Glen retired they moved back to Missouri and settled in Rolla, Missouri. Dot and Glen were long time devout members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Rolla, Missouri. Dot had a beautiful soprano voice and loved to sing at church. Dot spent hours reading Christian books and articles. Her favorite past time was playing table games, watching old movies with her daughter and having family and friends over for a good dinner. She made the best pies ever.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Flora Johnson; and one son, Kenneth. She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Glen; sons, Lary and wife Lori and Gary and wife Gini; one daughter, Karen; one sister, Gloria; two brothers, Charles and Bill; eight grandchildren, Julie, Steven, Blake, Clint, Jennifer, Kelly, Mathew and Kristopher; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Patricia Ann Phillips Patricia Ann Phillips of Cuba, Missouri was born Saturday, November 15, 1941 at St. Louis, Missouri to David "Otto" and Nellie (nee Foster) Sutton and passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Patricia married James "Darrell" Phillips on February 28, 1960 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two sons were born. Patricia worked for the City of St. Louis as a librarian for 20 years. After retiring from the City of St. Louis, Patricia started taking evening classes on auditing and computers at Forest Park Community College and before long she started working for the college in the Tele Course Department. In 2001 Patricia and Darrell moved from St. Louis to Indian Hills Lake, Cuba, Missouri. Patricia enjoyed boat rides, putting her feet in the water and most of all just relaxing. In her younger years she enjoyed crocheting, making dolls, reading and traveling. For the last few years Patricia spent hours watching old western movies and TV shows. Patricia was raised and baptized Lutheran. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Nellie Sutton; one son, Scott August Phillips; two brothers, John and wife Norma Sutton and David and wife Dorothy Sutton; one sister, Shirley and husband Wesley Haws; and brothers-in-law, Louis Doskocil, Art Tipton and Terry Phillips. He served in the United States Army, after returning from military service he found he enjoyed working as a carpenter, electrician and plumber. She was known as a child with a lively personality and was developing a caring and loving disposition. Mariska was quick to learn and was just beginning to learn her numbers. Being a very active baby, she loved the outdoors and especially swimming. Mariska had many enjoyable moments kicking soccer balls and playing with her Cardinal baseball.
