Thomas James Donal
Thomas James Donal was born Thursday, April 26, 1917, in Marquette, Kansas,
to the union of Marion Clair Donal and Nora (Morrison) Donal.
He departed this life Friday, June 28, 2002, at the Missouri Baptist
Medical Center, St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 2
days.
On November 7, 1941, at Fort Elvenworth, Kansas, Tom was inducted into the
United States Army. During his military service he served in the European
Theater of Operation with the 83rd Armored Reconnaissance Battalion 3rd
Armored Division. Tom was a radio operator with the M-8 tank crew during
combat action against enemy forces in Germany.
He was awarded the Purple Heart for injuries suffered during this
engagement. He was also awarded a Bronze Star for Rhineland Campaign, a
Bronze Star for Northern France Campaigns and a Bronze Star for Normandy
Campaign. He received the Victory Medal, European Theatre Campaign Ribbon,
American Theatre Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.
He was honorably discharged December 4, 1947, after spending time in a
military hospital in Michigan.
When Tom came home on leave from the Army, he met Esther Halbert, daughter
of Warfel Singleton Halbert and Dora (Causey) Halbert. They were married
June 5, 1946, at Potosi, Mo. by a justice of the peace. Four sons were born
to this union, Thomas, Roger, Jerry and Bruce.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas,
sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Arther Wigger, Vera Mathis, Floyd
Borden, Erma Halbert, and Cleo King.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife Esther of
the home in Steelville; three sons, Roger Donal and wife Darlene, Jerry
Donal and wife Carla of Florissant, Mo., Bruce Donal and wife Cheryl of
Cuba, Mo.
Three sisters, Helen Wigger of St. Louis, Mo., Inez Cox and husband William
(Bill) of Omaha, Nebraska, Carol Eveland and husband Hubert of Stratford,
Mo.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Albert Halbert, Gean Halbert, all
of Steelville, Lois and Jack Anderson of Aldrich, Mo., Irene Richards of
Bourbon, Mo.
Six grandchildren, Anita, Kenneth, Clinton, Andrew, Junoira and Douglas and
one great-granddaughter, Cierra Donal; nieces, nephews, cousins, other
relatives and many friends.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tabor Memorial Post No. 6479,
Steelville.
Thomas James Donal lay in state 2-9 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the
Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2002, in the Britton
Chapel with Rev. Clarence Morrison officiating. As special music a
granddaughter, Anita Donal, sang What A Friend We Have In Jesus.
Interment and committal prayers were in Steelville Cemetery. Full military
honors with firing party, taps, folding of the flag and presentation were
provided graveside by Missouri Honors Program Eastern Division with Sgt.
Kenneth Sego in charge. Serving as pallbearers were Kenneth, Andrew,
Clinton and Douglas Donal, Jerry Jones, and Ronnie Eveland.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville,
Mo.
Donald Jo Krulik
Donald Jo Krulik of Cuba, Mo., was born on April 6, 1936 at Cuba, Mo. to
the union of Louis E. Krulik and Thelma (Spencer) Krulik and passed away at
his home near Cuba, Mo. on June 26, 2002 at the age of 66 years 2 months
and 20 days.
On January 26, 1962 Don was united in marriage to Joan Gilliam at Cuba, Mo.
They have been happily married for 40 years.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Robert McFarland.
He was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church, member and Past Master
of the Cuba Masonic Lodge No. 312.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his loving wife
Joan Krulik; one daughter Rhonda J. Krulik; one son Donald J. Krulik II;
one brother Richard Krulik and wife Ruthene; one granddaughter Lauren Beth
Krulik; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Don retired from Echo Supply and also had his own chimney cleaning
business. He had a unique sense of humor that will be missed.
He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, good
friend to all who knew him and will be sadly missed.
Donald Jo Krulik was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
Funeral services were held on Friday, June 28, 2002 at the Cuba United
Methodist Church, Cuba, Mo. at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Mike Hannah
officiating. Interment was in the Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Mo. Masonic
services were conducted by the Cuba Masonic Lodge No. 312 at the graveside.
Memorials to the Cuba United Methodist Church for Debt Retirement. All
arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba,
Mo.
Homer Lorenzo Stulce
Homer Lorenzo (Sonny) Stulce was born May 23, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. to
Rosalee (Gillam) Stulce and the late Fred Marion Stulce.
He entered into eternal life on Wednesday, June 26, 2002, at his home in
Steelville, Mo. at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 3 days.
On April 23, 1966, Rev. Charles D. Likely united Homer in marriage to
Shirley Jean Slowensky, daughter of the late Reinholt Andrew Slowensky and
the late Tressie Irene (Whalen) Slowensky. Two daughters, Tina Renee and
Tammy Lynn, were born to this union.
Homer served his country in the United States Army, receiving an honorable
discharge, November 30, 1967.
In addition to his father, Homer was preceded in death by one brother, Fred
Marion (Jobie) Stulce, Jr., one brother-in-law Lovell Moses and one nephew
Mark Allen Stulce, Jr.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his mother, Rosalee of
Cuba, Mo.; his wife, Shirley of the home; two daughters, Dr. Tina Stulce of
Red Bud, Illinois and Tammy Bouse and her husband Randy of Eureka, Mo.; two
grandchildren, Mandy and Ryan.
His brothers Dale and wife Rena, Ron and wife Ruth, all of Steelville,
Barry and Phyllis of Willard, Mo. and Mark of Viburnum, Mo.
His sisters, Linda Moses of Florissant, Mo., Judy and husband Larry Harding
of Cuba, Mo., Donna Hedrick and friend Tom Voss of Viburnum, Mo. and one
sister-in-law, Rita Stulce of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and many uncles,
aunts, nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.
Homer Lorenzo Stulce lay in state 4-9 p.m. Friday, June 28, 2002 at the
Britton Funeral Home, Steelville, Mo.
Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2002, at the
Britton Chapel with Rev. Dale Starr officiating. Musical selections were
provided by Deloris Bell.
Interment and committal prayers were in Steelville Cemetery. Full military
honors with firing party, taps, folding of the flag and presentation were
provided graveside by Missouri Military Honors Program, Eastern Division,
with Sgt. Kenneth Sego in charge.
Serving as pallbearers were his nephews, Dale Stulce, Jr., Scott Stulce,
Brad Stulce, Ronnie Stulce, Jason Hedrick and Larry Harding, Jr. Honorary
pallbearers were Mathew Moses and Jessie Stulce.
Arrangements were under the direction of Britton Funeral Home, Steelville,
Mo.
Ronald Lee Warmack
Ronald Lee Warmack of Leasburg, Mo. passed away at his home on Saturday,
June 29, 2002 at the age of 47 years.
Ronald was born in St. Louis, Mo. on March 16, 1955 to Verla May Dement
Warmack and the late Arlie Warmack. He graduated from Central High School
and became self-employed as a barber. He collected antiques as a hobby,
especially automobiles.
On February 14, 1990 he was married to Vicky Lynne McBride. Three years ago
they moved to Leasburg, Mo. and were in the process of restoring a turn of
the century home. Ron was also a member of the First Southern Baptist
Church of Leasburg.
He is survived by is wife Vicky, one daughter, Alexandria Warmack of the
family home, his mother, Verla May Warmack of Florissant, Mo., two
brothers, Stephan and Kenneth Warmack, both of Ballwin, Mo., one sister,
Marilyn Gibson of Hazelwood, Mo., other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 from the
Florissant General Baptist Church with Pastors Terry King and Steve
Battiste officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Normandy,
Mo. Funeral arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home,
Sullivan, Mo.
