Barton and Lavada Henson on April 23, 1950 in Bismarck, Missouri and passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at the age of 63 years. Grover was united in marriage to Phyllis Sue Shoemake on October 17, 2000 in Bismarck, Missouri. Grover was self employed having owned and operated a Salvage Yard in Davisville, Missouri and was an Evangelical Minister. He enjoyed buying, selling and salvaging cars and trucks. Grover spent the majority of his life in Wortham, Missouri but was most recently a resident of Steelville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Barton; three brothers, Jim, Elmer (Jock) and Willard Barton; four grandchildren, Amber Barton,  Ashley Barton, Austin Barton and Tara Minnich. Thelma Pearl Brand Thelma Pearl Brand, nee Shockley, of Steelville, Missouri was born August 26, 1928 in Rice, Illinois to Earl M. and Clara B. Hagler Shockley and passed away Monday, July 1, 2013 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 6 days. On April 9, 1949, in Illinois, she was united in marriage to Eugene Brand and to this union three children were born. Thelma was a member of the Steelville Assembly of God Church. She loved reading her Bible and listening to music. In her spare time, she enjoyed embroidering. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Clara Shockley; her husband Eugene in 2000; brother, Wayne Shockley and wife Mary; brothers-in-law, Harvey Jamerson, James Brand, Walter Renner and Jack Walters. James Alfred Foust James Alfred Foust of St. James, Missouri was born on February 10, 1948 in Waynesville, Missouri to Ervin Jr. and Frances (Ray) Foust and passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 22 days. He was united in marriage to Verlee G. Southard on May 24, 1968 at Broadway Baptist Church, Vichy, Missouri. He served his country for four years in the Army.  He worked at the USGS for 22 years. He was a trucking owner operator for 18 years.   He loved to fish, hunt and especially be with his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Jr. and Frances Foust; stepfather, Arthur Kulp Jr.; father and mother-in-law, Arthur C. and Myrtle A. Southard; and granddaughter, Alexa Bartlett. Remington (nee Kelso) a long-time resident of Cuba, Missouri was born in Beaufort, Missouri on August 3, 1917 and passed away June 30, 2013 at the Golden Living Nursing Home, St. James, Missouri at the age of 95 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amanda (nee Gerling) and Oscar Kelso; husband, R. Herbert Remington; sister, Blanche and brother-in-law, Floyd Burris. John Ike Stroup John Ike Stroup of Sullivan, Missouri was born on December 15, 1947 to Woodrow and Grace (Mercer) Stroup and passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the age of 65 years. He honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 1974. He was united in marriage to Linda Martin on April 25, 1968 in Bourbon, Missouri. John was employed in the construction trade with Laborers Local #840 in Rolla, Missouri and was an avid horseman and farrier. He co-founded the Sullivan Saddle Club and enjoyed competing in team and calf roping.  John was involved in many organizations including; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3781, Moose Lodge, Elks, American Legion, V. F. W., and Sullivan Saddle Club. He volunteered and donated to numerous veterans and children’s charities. He was preceded by his parents, Woodrow and Grace Stroup; and two brothers, Jimmie and Richard Stroup. He is survived by his wife, Linda L. Young of Steelville, Missouri was born on Thursday, April 1, 1943 in Keysville, Missouri to Conn Holmes and Pansy Delight Dicus Young and passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 5 days. Robert graduated from Cherryville High School then served in the Army National Guard. He married Janet Garrison on September 19, 1970 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union three children were born. He previously worked as a machinist and driller in the Lead Mines. He attended Center Point Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, writing, yard work especially building rock walls, watching St. Louis Cardinal ball team and walking. He was preceded in death by his father, Conn Holmes Young and nephew, Paul Young.
