Brust of Bourbon, Missouri was born July 5, 1937 in Winslow, Indiana and passed away July 1, 2012 at the age of 74 years. James was a graduate of Winslow High School Class of 1957 and was a member of the Winslow Eskimos Basketball Team. James married Elizabeth Malone on September 12, 1986 in St. Charles, Missouri. He retired from Youngstown Sheet and Tube (LTB) East Chicago, Indiana and was the former owner of Lake Westside Campground in Bourbon, Missouri. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles of Sullivan, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ival and Miriam Brust; one son, Dail Brust and one sister, Donna Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Lily) Brust; two children, Cheryl (David) Randall of DeMotte, Indiana and Jeffrey (Carol) Brust of Leasburg, Missouri; one brother, John (Joyce) Brust of Valley Park, Missouri; one sister, Ruthie Hayes of Winslow, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Joan (Gilbert) Nugent and Mary (Ed) Hartman; one brother-in-law, Don Sullivan; seven grandchildren, Christopher (Kelly) Elder, Cassondra (Jon) Summers, Zachary Randall, Kera Bohaty, Tonya (Andy) Boerner, Jeffrey Brust II and Kenneth Brust; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Share Terry Lee Daugherty Terry Lee Daugherty of Bourbon, Missouri was born on May 2, 1975 at St. Charles, Missouri and passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the age of 37 years, 2 months and 2 days as a result of a vehicle accident. He lived in St. Charles, Missouri until the age of 17 when he moved to the Bourbon area. On March 21, 1998 Terry was united in marriage to Christina M. Bragg. She preceded Terry in death on September 16, 2006 also the result of an automobile accident. Terry was known as a happy-go-lucky individual who was hard working. He was self-employed in a tree service business.  He enjoyed the outdoors, floating the river and fishing. Robert Dale Hines Robert Dale Hines of St. James, Missouri was born to Jim Batson and Phyllis Loughridge on May 14,1955 in Chillicothe, Missouri and passed away at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center in Rolla, Missouri on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Robert was a long time resident of Chillicothe, Missouri and entered the United States Navy at 17 years old, serving overseas in Vietnam. He was an over the road truck driver for several years of his life after leaving the service. He moved to the St. James, Missouri area in 2003 to be closer to friends and family. Robert believed in living a simple life and he loved the outdoors. He especially enjoyed the fishing, camping and hunting to be found in the St. James area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Loughridge; father, Jim Batson; brothers Jim Hines and David Hines. Robert Curtis “Curt” Luna Robert Curtis “Curt” Luna of St. James, Missouri was born on October 19, 1949 in St. Louis, Mo. to Haston and Lola (Faulkner) Luna and passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the age of 62 years, 8 months, and 15 days. Curt was inducted into the military in 1967 and served for four years. He worked for Walmart for over 20 years. Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Montee Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Montee of Sullivan, Missouri was born on March 20, 1938 at Galena, Kansas to Dearrall and Cecile (Waughtal) Largent and passed Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the age of 74 years, three months and 10 days. She was raised in Galena and later graduated high school there. On October 10, 1954 she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Montee and to this marriage four children were born. Peggy later went on to receive her LPN certificate and was employed for a time at the Sullivan Community Hospital and later worked in Dr. Elders’ office in Cuba.  Peggy was self-taught in bookkeeping and helped to prepare tax returns for Mel Wurth. Later she was employed at the former Bobber Truck Terminal as a bookkeeper.  Peggy’s last employment was at the Bank of Sullivan in the trust department and coordinator of the Roadrunners Club.  The most important part of her life was her family and enjoyed traveling and flower gardening.  The Christmas season was her favorite time of the year and she would firmly encourage all of her family members to be home to celebrate. Peggy found pleasure in collecting Christmas ornaments and adding to her snow village collection.  She was a devoted member of Grace United Methodist Church of Sullivan. Ernest achieved his Masters in Education and taught elementary children in the Viburnum Public School for 33 years. He taught three generations of children and was beloved by many students throughout the 44 years of his teaching career. He also, had served as a Boy Scout leader for several years. His hobbies were fishing, canoeing, floating the rivers, shooting pool and watching the St. Louis Cardinal ball team. He married Joan Lee Sherman on October 4, 1980 in Florissant, Missouri. Margaret was united in marriage to Elman Stambaugh and to this union five children were born. Margaret was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and enjoyed working in the church where she was very active until her health no longer permitted. She loved puzzles of any kind. She was an avid gardener and sharing her bountiful crop with friends, neighbors and a little roadside stand that she enjoyed working in the summer months. Margaret also enjoyed square dancing. Jewel “Junior” Sweeney Jewel “Junior” Sweeney of Steelville, Missouri was born January 19, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri to Jewell and Eunice (White) Sweeney and passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at his home at the age of 77 years. In St. Louis, Missouri on July 9, 1966, he was united in marriage to Helen Lucille McConnell. Junior served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked at General Motors in St. Louis, Missouri for a few years and then as a custodian for 11 years in the Steelville Public School System and retired in the early 1990’s. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and cutting wood. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Sweeney and Eunice Bailey; and two daughters, Theresa and Melonie Sweeney. She married Alan Williams on April 10, 1999 in Spring Bluff, Missouri. Vicki worked at several convenience stores in the area, most notably at the Whistle Stop in Sullivan, Missouri. She had great passion for and dearly loved her children and grandchildren.  Vicki was a member of the 1st Assembly Church in Bourbon, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her father, William Head and a grandchild, Kali Starr McBride.
