Billingsley of Steelville, Missouri was born September 6, 1933 in Steelville, Missouri to Edward and Anna Myrtle Sellers Billingsley and passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the age of 82 years, 10 months and 3 days. On February 24, 1953 in Steelville, Missouri he married Elsie Hibner and to this union two children were born. Jack served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956. He was a member of the Steelville First Assembly of God Church. Jack had sold cars all his adult life and enjoyed being around the people he served. For several years he owned Jack's Auto Sales. He loved to drink coffee and visit with friends at Spare Rib in his extra time. He also looked forward to listening to gospel music and his times on the farm driving his golf cart enjoying the animals. Most of all, Jack loved vacationing with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Anna Billingsley. On May 7, 1966 she married Gilbert "Eddie" Edgar Davis and to this union four children were born. She worked for the Department of Natural Resources through the state of Missouri retiring after 20 years. Mary was of the Pentecostal faith with a deep love of the Lord. She always loved to sew for her family, herself and others. Mary also enjoyed crocheting, cooking and flower arranging. Harvey Lee Hutson Harvey Lee Hutson was born on Thursday, February 28, 1935 in Keysville, Missouri to Gentry and Georgia Elma Warfel Hutson and passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 81 years, 4 months and 2 days. On August 20, 1955 Harvey married Bertha Marie Trinkler in Steelville, Missouri and to this union five children were born. Harvey worked as an electrician at Pea Ridge Mine until it closed in the late 1970s. He then formed Hutson Electric Co., backhoe and trenching services. Harvey had one of the first trenchers in the area. He and Bertha attended the Bible Baptist Church in Cuba when the kids were young. He was a member of the early morning coffee club that met at the Truck Stop sometimes as early as 3:30 or 4:00 in the morning. Harvey liked to recycle before the term was widely used by saving everything and could re-purpose and fabricate just about anything. He especially liked to tinker and repair things. He was a gardener and a fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gentry and Georgia Hutson; wife, Bertha; son-in-law, Mike Chymiak; grandson, Michael Hutson; brothers, Roy (Hazel) Hutson. McWilliams of Bourbon, Missouri was born on January 6, 1952 to Ralph and Thelma Worley McWilliams in Kirkwood, Missouri and passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 64 years. He grew up in Eureka, Missouri and graduated from Eureka High School. He was very close to his grandparents, Hugh and Marie McWilliams, living with them on the farm and commuting to school. Matt earned a Bachelor's Degree from St. Louis University and was self-employed as a horse trainer for over 30 years. He loved animals, especially horses, hunting and fishing. Matt participated in many Bass Master's Tournaments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Thelma McWilliams; and grand-parents, Hugh and Marie McWilliams. Charles Lee Mitchell Charles Lee Mitchell of Rolla, Missouri was born in Green City, Missouri on January 22, 1928 to Harry J. and Emma (Kent) Mitchell and passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the age of 88 years. He graduated from Green City High School in 1945. He enlisted in the Navy at age 17. He proudly served his country in World War II. He married Margaret Law on October 31, 1947 at the Kirksville Methodist Church. In 1949, they had their first son and moved to Peoria, Illinois where Charles worked for Caterpillar. They relocated to Pekin, Illinois when he went to work for the United States Postal Service. They moved again in 1974, this time to Rolla, Missouri where Charles continued to work for the Post Office. Their family found a church home at the First Baptist Church. Charles loved to fish, hunt, and get his hands dirty in the garden. He became an avid fan of Missouri Tiger football, St. Louis Blues hockey and Cardinal baseball. Charles adored his new role as grandpa. He taught them to fish at his farm in High Gate and cheered them on at every sports game played. His grandchildren's friends even knew "Grandpa Mitch." He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret of 68 years; sisters, Jeanette Cleeton and Ramah Wokoum; brothers, Kent Mitchell, Harry Junior Mitchell; and a son-in-law, Terry Sbabo. Dale Murphy of Bourbon, Missouri was born on July 9, 1926 to Clifton and Betty (Page) Murphy and passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 23 days. World War II began and brother Dean joined the Marines. In 1944 C. Dale and twin brother Clifton Neal joined the Navy at the age of 17. C. Dale served in the Pacific Theater. Both were honorably discharged but their brother Dean was fatally wounded in Iwo Jima and did not return. On August 11, 1951 C. Dale married Emma C. Cartwright and to his union two children were born. In 1954 C. Dale began a long and successful career with the United States Postal Service. His career took the family from Bourbon to Joplin, Springfield and St. Louis retiring in 1983 to the Murphy Homestead. He participated in the founding of Peoples Bank of Bourbon and later enjoyed auctioneering, beekeeping and working to make the homestead better than when he received it. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bourbon since 1946, Lifetime Booster supporter and participated in many community projects. He was also a member of American Legion Post # 81 for 70 years. C. Dale loved his God, family and country. On July 8, 1978 in Steelville, Missouri at the Assembly of God Church, he married Sharon Wisdom and to this union two children were born. Larry graduated from Steelville High School in 1976 and received his undergraduate degree from UMR/MO S&T in 1980. After college, he became employed with AT&T/Lucent Technologies. During that time, he received his master's degree from Purdue in 1982. Larry retired from Lucent in 2013. He enjoyed fishing, reading, music and working on his computer. He was a member of the Motorcycle Gold Wing Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Mary Thurman; father and mother-in-law, Cleatis and Clara Wisdom; and brother-in-law, Larry Wisdom; and sister-in-law, Donna Missey.
