Scott E. Kimberlin
Scott E. Kimberlin of Farmington, Missouri, formerly of Festus, Missouri
was born August 16, 1947 in Alice, Texas to Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Smith)
of Steelville, Missouri and Dayle E. Kimberlin and passed away on Thursday,
June 30, 2011 at Siteman Cancer Center-Barnes Jewish Hospital, St. Louis,
Missouri at the age of 63 years.
He was a member of the First Christian Church/Disciples of Christ, a veteran
of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War, a member of the 220th Engineering Unit
of the Missouri National Guard, Festus and a salesman in the concrete
business.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dayle E. Kimberlin and a brother,
Mickey Kimberlin.
He is survived by his fiancée, Marty (nee Reeves) Thebeau of Farmington,
Missouri; son, Jeff Kimberlin and wife Brenda of St. Louis, Missouri;
daughter, Stacy Kimberlin-Clinton and husband Barry of St. Charles, Missouri;
his fianceés children, Krista Lore and husband Andrew of Kansas City,
Missouri, Clinton Thebeau and wife Brooke of Kansas City, Missouri and
Michael Thebeau and wife Alyson of Imperial, Missouri; four grandchildren,
Savanna and Shane Clifton and Mairead and Claire Kimberlin; sister, Gayle
Overby and husband Jerry of Festus, Missouri; sister-in-law, Kathy Kimberlin
of Washington, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at the Vinyard
Funeral Home in Festus, Missouri with services at 10 a.m. on Wednesday,
July 6, 2011.
Interment was in the Steelville Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.

Gale A. Lawson
Gale A. Lawson nee Gilliam of Cook Station, Missouri was born on Tuesday,
September 25, 1956 in Spokane, Washington to Harold and Helga Maxine
McGuffin Gilliam and passed away in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday,
July 6, 2011 at the age of 54 years, 9 months and 11 days.
She married Buddy Lawson on May 19, 1984 in Miami, Florida.
She previously worked as Assistant Vice President at Bank United of Miami,
Florida and earned several achievement awards in marketing. Her hobbies
were fishing, riding horses, boating and being outdoors.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gilliam.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Lawson of Cook Station, Missouri;
mother, Helga Gilliam of Dothan, Alabama; brothers, Bruce (Kathy) Gilliam
of Steelville, Missouri and Fred (Patricia) Gilliam of Dothan, Alabama;
four step children; six step grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 10-11 a.m. and Memorial Service
at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Matt Cook officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri.
Walter Lee Leive
Walter Lee Leive of St. James formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born to the
union of John W. and Edna L. (Connor) Leive on September 26, 1941 in
St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Missouri
Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 69 years.
Walter retired as a Sergeant/Air Traffic Controller from the U.S. Air
Force after many years of honorable service to his country. After moving to
Cuba he worked for Swinger Sanitation. In his spare time he enjoyed reading.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Edna L. Leive.
He is survived by his two cousins Debbie and husband Russ Gassmann and
Charlotte Pauley, both of Cuba, Missouri.
Private services will be held with interment at the Ft. Leonard Wood State
Veterans Cemetery, Waynesville, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Walter Scott Slovensky
Walter Scott Slovensky of Steelville, Missouri was born on Sunday,
April 4, 1921 in Steelville, Missouri to John Henry and Mary Lavina Earney
Slovensky and passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at the age of 90 years,
2 months and 28 days.
Walter served his country honorably in the United States Army/Air Corp
during WWII. He was a Sgt. in the European theatre and crew chief on a B26
Bomber. He was a member and treasurer of the 391st Bomb Group Association.
He married Thelma G. Johnson on January 26, 1946 in Steelville, Missouri
and to this union three children were born.
Walter graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Washington
University in St. Louis, Missouri and retired as an accountant from Blue
Cross Insurance Group. He was a member of the Immanuel Methodist Church,
St. Louis, Missouri and later a member of the Center Point Baptist Church,
Steelville, Missouri. He also, was a member of Maplewood, Missouri Masonic
Lodge and Steelville Lebanon Lodge #77. He enjoyed working in Boy Scouts
when his sons were younger. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, camping,
working on cars and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary Slovensky; parents-
in-law, Everett and Annie Johnson; infant brother; sister-in-law, Betty
Jean (Charles) Urban; brothers-in-law, Robert Petchulat and George Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma G. Slovensky of Steelville, Missouri;
children, Margaret (Don) Bay of Festus, Missouri, Leonard (Melissa) Slovensky
of Amelia, Ohio and Donald (LaDonna) Slovensky of St. Louis, Missouri;
sisters, Mary Ruth Bailey of Cabot, Arkansas and Annie Laurie Petchulat of
Fairview Heights, Illinois; grandchildren, Don (Kay) Bay, Jr. of St. Louis,
Missouri, Deborah Bay of Cleveland, Ohio, Denise Neels, Elaine (Steve)
Gruener, Dan (Amy) Bay, David and Sarah Slovensky, all of St. Louis,
Missouri; seven great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri with Masonic Service at 7 p.m.
Funeral Service was at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Center Point
Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson and Rev. Matt
Cook officiating.
Burial was at the Liberty Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri with full military
honors.

Donald Lee Underwood
Donald Lee Underwood was born on July 21, 1938 at Safe, Missouri to Ira and
Viola (Rhodes) Underwood and passed away at his home on July 4, 2011 in
St. James, Missouri at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 13 days.
On October 2, 1988 he was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart
Sharon (Waldron) Underwood in Harrison, Arkansas.
Don loved the outdoors. He walked their homestead many times a day
clearing old trees and grooming the lawn to perfection. He loved his family,
gardening, hunting, spending time with his “other” children (pets), and
collecting antique die cast cars, trucks and tractors from shops and gifts
given from family over the years.
Don and Sharon spent their first anniversary at McDonalds in Gatlinburg,
Tennessee, which was one of their favorite places to vacation. Their local
spot was Treasure Lake in Branson, Missouri where they shared a lot of fond
memories with the family.
Don was a very hard worker, some of his jobs consisted of Brown Shoe in
Steelville, Missouri, MoDOT and later for the City of St. James.
He became a member of the St. James Christian Church as a teenager but
recently rededicated his life to Christ. He enjoyed listening to gospel and
old country music. He also enjoyed going to see the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Viola Underwood; one
grandson, Nathan Underwood; and father and mother-in-law, Harold and Helen
Waldron.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Underwood of St. James, Missouri; one son,
Danny Underwood and wife Barbara of Newburg, Missouri; one daughter, Pam Fann
of St. James, Missouri; two step-children, Kim Lackey and husband Carl of
St. James, Missouri and Brian Curtis of High Gate, Missouri; five grand-
children, Terry Fann, Kevin Fann and wife Stephanie both of St. James,
Missouri, Daniel Underwood and wife Kayla, Katrina Underwood both of Rolla,
Missouri, and Natasha Underwood of Newburg, Missouri; three step-grand-
children, Anthony Lackey of Rock Port, Missouri, Kolt Lackey and wife
Dawana and Amber Royal and husband Andrew, both of St. James, Missouri;
five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Jones Funeral
Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at
the Jones Funeral Home Chapel with speakers Leroy Nixon and Scott John.
Pallbearers were Daniel Underwood, Kevin Fann, Leland Underwood, Gary
Underwood, Kolt Lackey and Andrew Royal.
Burial was in the family plot in the Macedonia Cemetery in rural Rolla,
Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Timothy Wayne Weaver
Timothy “Tim” Wayne Weaver of Cuba, Missouri was born on Wednesday,
March 26, 1969 to Charles Sheldon and Elsie Farrar Weaver in Sullivan,
Missouri and passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the age of 42 years,
3 months and 8 days.
Tim accepted the Lord early in life and attended several churches off and
on through out the years. During high school, Tim was an excellent athlete
in basketball, track and cross-country. His nickname in cross-country was
“King of the Road.”
He married Kimberly Wilkinson on July 17, 1993 in Steelville, Missouri and
to this union three children were born.
He attended a trade school in St. Louis and was very talented in many areas
of building. As a laborer in construction, he was a union member of the
Labors Local #42.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was an exceptional great
guy and a jokster. Tim was very proud of his children and wife and their
accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Clark and Esther
Farrar and Austin and Rose Mae Weaver; father, Charles Weaver; brother,
DeWayne Weaver; nephew, Josh Wyatt Staples; brother-in-law, Ned Dorf, and
special aunt, Rosie Mable Farrar.
He is survived by wife, Kim Weaver; children, Emily, Ryan and Hannah Weaver,
all of Cuba, Missouri; mother, Elsie Farrar Weaver of Steelville, Missouri;
brother, Bo (Chris) Weaver of Steelville, Missouri; sisters, Kay (Dan) Becker
of Ballwin, Missouri, Anna “Mert” (Ken) Staples, Tammy (Matt Tighe) Dorf, all
of Cuba, Missouri, and Brenda (Robert) Marz of Rolla, Missouri; aunts, Anna
Farrar of Steelville, Missouri, Mildred (Delmar) Parrett of Cuba, Missouri,
Arnetta Walls of California, Missouri, Edna Halbert of St. Louis, Missouri,
and Lena Cummings of Sullivan, Missouri; mother-in-law, Terri Turnbough of
Steelville, Missouri and father-in-law Leon Wilkinson of Cherryville,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Hutson
Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.
Burial was at the Martin Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri.
