MO Local Obituaries for the Week of July 15, 2009 Steven William Brown Jr. Steven William Brown Jr., of St. James, Missouri, formerly of Rolla, Missouri, was born in Rolla, Missouri on April 20, 1957 to Steven Brown Sr. and Mildred (Stogsdill) Brown Turner and passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009, at the age of 52 years. On March 12, 2007 he married Vicki Barcley. Steve worked in maintenance for Missouri S&T. He was an avid bowler and also enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Brown Sr. and one brother, David Brown. He is survived by his wife Vicki, of the home; his mother, Mildred Turner of Lecoma, Missouri; two daughters, Mandi Parks and husband Zach of Salem, Missouri and Morgan Brown, also of Salem, Missouri; a stepson, Ricky Cross, of the home; one grandson, Colby Welch; one brother, Paul Brown of Lecoma, Missouri; two sisters, Jane Helgersen and husband Bill of Rolla, Missouri and Becky Brown of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the Null & Son Funeral Home, Rolla, Missouri. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Null & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Cook officiating. Interment followed in the Rhea Cemetery in rural Rolla, Missouri. All arrangements are under the direction of the Null & Son Funeral Home in Rolla, Missouri. Jesus Juan Coronado Jesus Juan Coronado of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, March 29, 1963 at Merced, California to Ismael Coronado and Esperanza Nunez Coronado and passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the age of 46 years, 3 months and 6 days. Juan was a builder of Cherokee Way Log Homes in Cuba for several years. He read his Bible often and was an ordained minister. He loved his children and family very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ismael and Esperanza Coronado. He is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; children, John R. (Bianca) Coronado of San Diego, California, Daniel, Nickolas, and Michael Coronado, all of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Jessica Coronado of California, Latisha and Iran Coronado, all of West Plains Missouri; stepson, Jacob Cannon of Okinawa, Japan; brothers, Ruben Coronado of Oregon, Raymond, Ismael “Moe” and Frank Coronado of Turlock California; sisters, Delia Ramos and Cynthia Coronado of Fresno California, Beatrice Valencia of Roseville, California and Blanca Moreno of Vancouver, Washington; 10 grandchildren; brother-in-law, Eddie Gregory of St. Peters, Missouri; sister-in-law, Shirley Burkhart of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Marie Virginia Davis Marie Virginia Davis of Sullivan, Missouri, was born near Leslie, Missouri on August 22, 1919 to William Franklin Harrison and Victoria Caldonia (Armistead) Lawrence and passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at the age of 89 years. On July 15, 1945 she was united in marriage to Clark W. Davis at Sullivan, Missouri and to this union three children were born. She was raised in this area and later, because of her husband’s civil service employment, lived in various parts of the country. After 15 years of living in the Fort Leonard Wood and Waynesville areas the family moved back to the Sullivan, Missouri area and lived in Oak Grove. Marie had worked for a time as an elementary school cook but for the majority of her life was a devoted housewife and mother. She was known to be independently minded but caring. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her vegetable and flower gardens. Marie was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband Clark; one son, Lawrence Roy Davis in infancy; three brothers, Burt, Ervin and Claude Lawrence; three sisters, Ina Briscoe, Nellie Immekus and Irene Vogt; and by a son-in-law, Gary Whitson. She is survived by her son, Harold Davis and wife Wanda of Bourbon, Missouri; daughter, Donna Whitson of Kingsport, Tennessee; sister, Hallie Johanning and husband Fritz of Spring Bluff, Missouri; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, June Lawrence; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri, with Pastor Scott Perry officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, rural Sullivan, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri. Eunice F. Gilbert Eunice F. Gilbert Eunice was born February 2, 1927 in Phelps County, Missouri to Joseph and Rosa (Matlock) Howell and passed away Monday, July 6, 2009 in St. James Missouri at the age of 82 years. Eunice was united in marriage to Earnest (Pee-Wee) Gilbert on August 25, 1951 and to this union five children were born. Eunice worked at the International Shoe Company in Rolla for many years; she then came to St. James and worked for California Manufacturing until she retired. She enjoyed cooking, canning and sewing, and spending time with her family. She loved to cook for her family and in the winter months they always enjoyed the bounty of her wonderful garden vegetables. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rosa Howell; husband, Pee-Wee Gilbert; son, Joseph Wayne Gilbert; brothers, Chester and Joseph Howell; sisters, Loretta Burton, Ruth Lacy, and Opal Huskey. She is survived by her children, Chester Gilbert of St. James, Missouri, Ernest Gilbert and wife Della of Clarksville, Tennessee, Susan Hilman and husband David of St. James, Missouri, Connie Sweigard, of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Heath Gilbert, David Kiplinger II, Dawn Northern, and Cassandra Hilman; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Keith Kirby Keith Kirby of Cuba, Missouri was born to Ray and Evelyn (Pauls) Kirby on December 19, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 55 years. Keith proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. from 1972-1975. He never met a stranger and he loved having a good time. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Ray and Evelyn Kirby; eldest son, Jason Ray Kirby and brother, Bill Kirby. Joseph Lee Limberg Jr. Joseph Lee Limberg Jr. of Owensville, Missouri was born in Sullivan, Missouri, on December 27, 2007 to Joseph Limberg Sr. and Kelly M. (Wilkerson) Taupier and passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at St. John’s Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri at the age of 1 year 6 months and 10 days. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Britton and great, great grandfather Raymond Douglas. Summerford, infant daughter of Steve and Barbie Boseke of Leasburg, Missouri, was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 16, 2008 and passed away, Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the age of 1 year and 12 days. Marie later moved with her family to the Leasburg area. She always had a happy disposition and was dearly loved by her family. Her first words were “dada” and “nina” and will forever be in the hearts of those whose life she had touched. She is survived by five sisters; a twin sister Kathleen, Brianna, Ashley, Chyann and Hannah; other relatives and friends. Graveside funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009 in Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
