She is survived by five children, Christopher Dildine and wife Amy of Rolla, Missouri, Misty Halbert and husband Gary of Steelville, Missouri, Jamie Sutton of Rolla, Missouri, Anthony Jones of Rolla, Missouri and Lisel Freimuth and companion Clayton of Valley Park, Missouri; brothers and sisters, Linda Green of Steelville, Missouri, Edward "Butch" Hanna of Arnold, Missouri, Brenda Rogers of Texas, Edna Hanna of Cuba, Missouri, Edie Vowell of Mississippi and Sandra Mischke of Steelville, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Gabriel, Layla, Jordan, Robert, Tyler, Danielle and Elizabeth; other relatives and friends. Teresa Archer Teresa "Terry" Archer of Cuba, Missouri was born February 27, 1959 at Zanesville, Ohio to John William and Nancy Jo (nee Green) Archer and left from this life on July 4, 2015 at the young age of 56 years. Terry worked as a nurse's aide for many years in Cuba, Missouri and surrounding communities. She also worked in the home healthcare field and at a factory for a few years. Terry enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans for people to enjoy. Terry loved animals, especially cats. She had a cat rescue and at one time there were over a hundred cats there. Terry supported the "Pit Rescue" and anything that had to do with animals. Terry is preceded in death by her brother, John Thomas "J.T." Archer. She is survived by her parents, John and Nancy Archer of Cuba, Missouri; special friend, Tina; other relatives and friends. Betty Jean Collier Betty Jean Collier, originally of Owensville, Missouri, was born to Leslie E. and Hellen G. Spurgeon on April 15, 1935 in St. James, Missouri and passed away on May 26, 2015 at the age of 80 years. She graduated from Owensville High School in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart Donald Eugene Collier in 1956. That year she also graduated from Southwest Missouri State College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Betty Jean taught in the Webster Groves School District at Avery Elementary School from 1956 to 1976. Donald's work would take the Colliers to Friendswood, Texas from 1976 to 1993 and back again to Missouri from 1993 to 2006 during which time they resided at Indian Hills Lake. Donald preceded her in death in 2006, when Betty Jean returned to Texas. Betty Jean was skilled at sewing, quilting, gardening and floral design. She attended flower show judges' school and became a Master Flower Show Judge. She served as President of both the Heritage Gardeners Club in Friendswood, Texas and the Cuba Hills Garden Club in Cuba, Missouri. Betty Jean and Donald learned to square dance and traveled to 19 states for National Conventions over the 26 years and they enjoyed it. They were members of the Hanger Squares Square Dance Club in Friendswood, Texas and the Duck N' Dive Club in Rolla, Missouri. Betty Jean and Donald worshiped at the Cuba and Friendswood United Methodist Churches. Betty Jean enjoyed entertaining and being on the water and will be remembered for the laughter and beauty she added to her communities. She is survived by her sisters, Marie Sego of Cuba, Missouri and Linda Sowers of Bonne Terre, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Cook Howard D. Cook of Rolla, Missouri was born on July 4, 1938 in Rolla, Missouri to Homer L. Cook, Sr. and Hazel L. (McDowell) Cook and passed away Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 76 years. He married Janet (Harris) Cook. He was employed in St. Louis, Missouri and returned to Rolla, Missouri after retirement in 2005. He loved fishing, going out to dinner and conversation. Howard was member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Rolla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Hazel Cook; and one grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Janet Cook of Rolla, Missouri; two daughters, Melanie and Tammy; one brother, Homer L. Leonard Franklin Lambert Leonard Franklin Lambert of Cuba, Missouri was born to the union of Jasper and Bertha Isabelle (Bates) Lambert on March 2, 1920 in Sullivan, Missouri and passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the age of 95 years. Leonard was united in marriage to Kimiko Iketani on November 19, 1957 in Yokohama, Japan and to this union two children were born. Leonard honorably served and thence retired from the U.S. Navy, after serving during WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an Engineer on the Ferry Boats in California and later as a Steel Company Machinist. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Bertha Isabelle Lambert. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kimiko Lambert of Cuba, Missouri; two children, Kenneth Lambert of Brentwood, Missouri and Patricia Wagner of Clarksburg, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Mat, Hana and Akane; one sister, Nadine O'Dell of Indianapolis, Indiana; special friends, Harumi Wakisaka and husband Tom Krolak of St. James, Missouri; staff of Cuba Manor; other relatives and friends. Ruth Jane Harrison Loomis Ruth Jane Harrison Loomis was born in Miami, Florida on December 2, 1932 and passed away on July 3 at the age of 82 years. She graduated from Miami Jackson High. She was united in marriage on November 9, 1956 to Donald M. Loomis, (her husband of 42 years) who preceded her in death. Born and raised in the south, she enjoyed returning to her home state of Florida often. In her early years, she enjoyed camping with her husband and family, participating in church activities, listening and dancing to big band music, being active in her women's clubs and service organizations and teaching various Sunday school classes. In 1970, she moved to Rolla, Missouri with her family when her husband, Don, became City Engineer and was delighted to be returning to an area where she had spent many summers during her childhood. During her years in Missouri she continued to enjoy traveling and picnicking. She provided loving care to those around her to include her mother, Bertha Harrison, until her death in 1983. She spent many years helping raise her grandchildren and attended their various school activities to include band events, choir concerts and ball games. She attended the Macedonia Baptist Church for many years. Ruth was a strong Christian who lived a life of faith. Her final words to her family were, God has it all under control. She is survived by two daughters, Laurie Crain and husband David and Ellen Weinbaum and husband, Martin, both of St. James, Missouri; five grandchildren, Andrew Crain and fianceŽ, Ashley Roten of Athens, Georgia, Mary Waggoner and husband, Jake of Springfield, Missouri, Julie, Dawn and Emily Weinbaum of St. James, Missouri; other family close to Ruth were Peggy and J.D. Justin Tyler Parrett Justin Tyler Parrett of Steelville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, June 1, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri to Tamara (Tami) Glore Parrett and Joe Parrett and passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in Columbia, Missouri at the age of 22 years, 1 month and 8 days. Justin was a member of the 2011 graduating class from Steelville, Missouri. He was currently attending the Law Enforcement Training Institute (LETI) in Columbia, Missouri, where he was chasing his dream career. Justin was due to graduate on August 14, 2015. Justin loved to live life on the edge. He also spent countless hours volunteering as a Steelville Firefighter. Music was a huge part of Justin's life as well. Any chance he had, he loved to surf youtube and teach himself new songs on his guitar. He also enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, bull riding, coming to Maryland and going to the dirt track. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Darrel Glore, Warren Parrett and Argie Parrett. She was raised in the Salt Lake City and Letti, Utah areas for most of her childhood. However she did attend Bourbon High School for a time. She also attended college in Salt Lake City. Ashley loved the outdoors and was always up for a challenge. She enjoyed hiking, camping, snowboarding, skiing, reading and crafting. She was employed by Home Depot and Quiznos. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elwood and Mildred Payne and John Reniker. Ken Richardson Ken Richardson of Cherryville, Missouri was born on Tuesday, August 10, 1937 in Brentwood, Missouri to Fred Joseph and Dorothy York Richardson and passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 26 days. Ken graduated from Brentwood High School, Brentwood, Missouri. He accepted the Lord early in life and met his wife, Pat Moore, at Tower Grove Baptist Church. They were married on June 27, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri. Ken ran a forestry tower at Ebo, Missouri (near Potosi) for the Conservation Department, worked at Pea Ridge Mines near Sullivan, Missouri and at Steelweld Equipment Company in St. Clair, Missouri. Ken was a talented blacksmith for over 25 years, shoeing horses. He built several muzzleloaders and was a good wood craftsman. He painted many landscapes and portraits. One of his favorites was a Brush Harbor original painting. He also enjoyed making headdresses, bows and other Indian relics. In addition, Ken was a gifted musician, playing the piano and the accordion. Ken began making knives as a hobby out of old cross cut saw blades and became Ken Richardson Knives. His knives became so popular, it became a full time business in 1975. His knives are widely sold throughout the United States and around the world through such venues as Bass Pro, Cabelas, Indian Touch, Monarch Crafts and many others. He often remarked, because of his talent and interests, that he was born 100 years too late. Ken was an honest, hardworking, Christian man, who understood the struggles of raising a family on a shoestring budget. Ken would tell you he was most satisfied with his relationship with the Lord. Ken was a member of Center Point Baptist Church and later attended Boss Assembly of God where he taught Sunday School for over 30 years and Wednesday night Bible study for over 25 years.Ken's hobbies included trapping, hunting and fishing. He loved farming, raising cattle and horses. Ken owned over a 100 head of horses at one time and his favorites were foxtrotters, quarter horses and longhorn cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Dorothy Richardson; daughter, Teresa Richardson; grandson, Michael Levi Richardson; granddaughter, Tabbitha "Abbie" Marie Richardson; great granddaughter, Kiley Cheyenne Richardson; and parents-in-law, Edward Wayne Moore and Ruth Pearl (Harman) Moore. Arlene Susanne Simpson Arlene Susanne Simpson (nee Weekes) of Cameron, Ohio, formerly of St. Louis, Sullivan and Cuba, Missouri, was born on Saturday, August 20, 1938 to Ed and Hazel Broyles Weekes and passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 8 days. She graduated Sullivan High School in 1957 and retired from Maritz in Fenton, Missouri. She accepted the Lord early in life and was a member of Delhi Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri and later attended First Assembly of God Church, Steelville, Missouri. She loved to sing and read her Bible. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting and was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball. She was a concerned citizen and member of Daughters of the American Revolution, American Legion, Cuba, Missouri and a former member of VFW Auxiliary, Cuba, Missouri. Arlene was a natural comic and great friend to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Hazel Weekes; son, Robert Clay Weekes; and two brothers, David L. and Ronald E. (Nora) Weekes.
