Breedlove of Cuba, Missouri was born Monday, September 23, 1929 at Kansas City, Missouri to Fred and Stella (nee Ellifrits) Breedlove and passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 83 years. Farrell was an over the road truck driver for several years before becoming a firefighter for the Mehlville Fire Protection District, Mehlville, Missouri. He retired as a firefighter after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Cuba United Methodist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, recording old movies and old records, but what he always enjoyed the most was spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Stella Breedlove; his first wife, Norma Breedlove; two sons, Richard and Terry Lee Breedlove; 10 brothers and sisters, Standlee Nimmo, Irene Oliphant, Frances Wright, Fred Breedlove, Mildred Ellifrits, Russell, Garry, Larry, Glenn and Lanny Breedlove; and one step son. He is survived by his wife, Irma Breedlove of the home; one daughter, Cheryl Brickner of St. Louis, Missouri; three step children; sister, Flossie Meyer of Warsaw, Missouri; 19 grandchildren; 32 great grand- children; other relatives and friends. Alice Mildred Clift Alice Mildred Clift, of Edgar Springs, Missouri was born on October 27, 1943 in Colorado to Martin Heavin and Dora Mae (Bates) Heavin and passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the age of 69 years. On February 18, 1961, she married Jewel “Mack” Clift who preceded her in death on July 14, 2002. Alice loved to fish, crochet and sing. She loved her family most of all! She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Clift and Dora “Dodie” Greer, both of Edgar Springs, Missouri; two brothers, William Heavin of Rolla, Missouri and Gary Heavin and wife Connie of St. James, Missouri; four grandchildren, B.J. Wilson, D.J. Wilson, Bridgett Hamby and husband Justin and Cally Greer; and three great grand- children, Mackinzie, Madison and Jade; other relatives and friends. Gary Dale Freeman Gary Dale Freeman of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday, August 31, 1961 in Waynesville, Missouri to Dale and Ruth Freeman and passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the age of 51 years, 10 months and 11 days. Gary married Cynthia Corman in St. Louis, Missouri in 1991 and to this union three children were born. He worked several years as a heavy equipment operator for road construction and was a member of the IUOE Local 513. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to music, singing and storytelling. He liked to watch the St. Louis Cardinal ball team and UFC fights. He also liked playing video games with his children. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Gavin Ail Groff Gavin Ail Groff of Owensville, Missouri was born in Owensville on October 25, 1949 to Oscar O. and Luella P. (Branson) Groff and passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at the age of 63 years, 8 months and 7 days. On September 30, 1994 in Bem, Missouri he was united in marriage to Rose Ann Allgire. He had served his country with the United States Army and was a member of VFW Post #7147 in Cuba. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shelly Groff; brother, Russell Groff and sister, Norma Hamilton. Harry Joe Harles (William Joseph Thornton) Harry Joe Harles of Marshfield, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri, was born March 2, 1951 and passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at the age of 62 years. Joe was a self-employed landscaper and a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Joe graduated Drury College with a Bachelor Degree of Science, Phi Theta Kappa, Dean’s and President’s List and was an accomplished writer and sharp shooter in the Police Department. He enjoyed playing bluegrass and gospel music with his children and also preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robbie Lee Zolman and William Thornton; brother, Virgil Groom and a sister, Margaret Smith. Billie “Charlene” Love Billie “Charlene” Love of Diamond, Missouri was born March 13, 1923 in Grove, Oklahoma to Charles and Nettie Whitten and passed away July 10, 2013 at the age of 90 years. At age three, the family moved to Neosho, Missouri. She attended Eugene Field School and Neosho High School. Charlene married Ben R. Love on August 31, 1940 and to this union two children were born. Charlene was a proud homemaker and loved her family. She enjoyed being outside listening to the birds. She was a member of Diamond Christian Church. Her family says “she was an angel on earth.” She was preceded in death by daughter, Colleen Stroud; granddaughter, Kelly Skinner; sisters, Marie McKee, Clara Heath, Claudia Smithpeter a nd Louise Williams; brothers, Rodney Whitten and Thomas Whitten. James Marshall Matlock James Marshall Matlock of St. James, Missouri was born on June 23, 1942 in St. James, Missouri James Matthew and Clara (Head) Matlock and passed away at his home on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the age of 71 years and 20 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Theresa Alvarado. He was preceded in death are his parents, James Matthew and Clara Matlock; two brothers, Charles Roland and Vince Stuart Matlock; and two sisters, Joy Froelich and Betty Shuey. Barbara Wilson Barbara Wilson of St. James, Missouri was born on July 5, 1929 in Gary, Indiana to Benjamin and Melva (Reed) Grundler and passed away July 9, 2013 at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri. Barbara worked for the University of Missouri in Rolla, Missouri as a bookkeeper until she retired in August 31, 1992. She was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church for many years until her health no longer permitted. Although she could no longer make it to church Barbara had a great love of God and her family. She loved cooking and sharing a meal with family and friends. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and cutting coupons. Barbara was an extreme c ouponer way back in the day when nobody else clipped. Barbara also enjoyed singing and always sang and rocked the babies, she also recorded herself singing for others to enjoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Melva Grundler; granddaughter, Kimberley Watson, and great grandson, Brantley Wilson. She is survived by her children, Linda Wilson, of Springfield, Missouri, Sandra Watson and husband Junior of St. James, Missouri, David Wilson and wife Janet of Cordova, Alabama; grandchildren, Kristi Watson and special friend Stawn Pyle, Kelly Palmer and husband Chris, Kevin Watson, Kassie Watson, David Wilson JR, Josh Wilson and wife Brittney, Jessica Allison and husband Blake; great grandchildren, Haleigh Yates and special friend Josef Frierdich, Jarred Yates, Chris Palmer JR, and Jordan Wilson; she was eagerly awaiting her first great great grandson, Brentlee who is due in August; other relatives and friends. Everett Eugene Wisdom Everett Eugene Wisdom of O’Fallon, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the age of 48. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Everett (Lola) Wisdom and Theodore (Beulah) Chandler.   He is survived by his wife, Kristi Wisdom (nee Krutzman); parents, Marvin E. (Ava Thomas) Wisdom and Shirley M. (Larry) Joyce; children, Noelle Wisdom and James Wisdom; siblings, Shari Folks and John (Velma) Wisdom; his beloved pet Jericho; other relatives and friends. Elsie Foley Wolfe Elsie Foley Wolfe was born in Tampa, Florida on March 17, 1915 and passed away June 30 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 98 years. Elsie lived in Menlo Park, California from 1947 until 2006 where she and her husband, Roland Wolfe had a photography studio and later a framing business.   Elsie went to the Dana Hall School in Wellesley Massachusetts, and afterwards studied photography at the Clarence White Photography School in New York City. Together with her sister, she lived in New York where she owned a photography studio (Hoops and Foley) from 1939 until shortly before she moved, with her mother, to California. After the death of her husband in 1982, Elsie was an active volunteer at Little House in Menlo Park, and she took several international trips as a companion volunteer. She moved to The Presbyterian Manor in Rolla, Missouri in 2006. She is survived by her treasured extended family, Debbie Hillyer of Cuba, Missouri, Maurine Hillyer Mitchell of Springfield, Missouri, Miles Hillyer of Cuba, Missouri and Shannon Mitchell of Springfield, Missouri; her sister, Dorothy Foley Knecht of Thousand Oaks, California; her nephews, Gary Knecht of Oakland, California and Curtis Knecht of Ventura, California; her niece, Barbara Knecht of Boston, Massachusetts. A memorial service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Cuba, Missouri.
