Stephen P. Bullock Jr.
Stephen P. Bullock Jr. of Brighton, Missouri formerly of St. James, Missouri
was born in Rolla, Missouri to Stephen and Sally (Pauley) Bullock Sr. on
February 18, 1974 and passed away Saturday, July 18, 2009 in Springfield,
Missouri at the age of 35 years.
Stephen was a graduate of John F. Hodge High School in St. James, Missouri
(class of 1992) where he played on the football team. He served his country
in the United States Army enlisting soon after he graduated from high school
and served for 10 years. He was very proud of his military career. Stephen
loved to hunt and fish, just being outdoors and with family and friends was
a very important part of his life.
Stephen was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jack Bullock and Vernie
Pauley; grandmother, Edith Pauley; and stepfather Donald Parsons.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy of the home; father, Stephen Bullock Sr.
and wife Nancy of Springfield, Missouri; mother, Sally Parsons of St. James,
Missouri; sister, Sara Larry and husband Lance of St. James, Missouri;
brother, Scott Bullock and wife Amber, of St. James, Missouri; step sisters,
Tammy Sartin of Springfield, Missouri; Lesa Evans and husband Pat of
Fairgrove, Missouri; step brothers, Donald Parsons of St. James, Missouri;
Anthony Parsons of St. James, Missouri; Eric Slaughter and wife Diana of
Willow, Missouri; Paul Sartin, of Springfield, Missouri; Jim Slaughter and
wife Melinda of Durby, Kansas; grandmother, Gwen Bullock of St. James,
Missouri; children, Jonathan Bullock of High Gate, Missouri, Morghan Bullock
of Olympia, Washington, Zachary Bullock of Brighton, Missouri, Austin Bullock
of Brighton, Missouri, Stephen Bullock III of Brighton, Missouri and Faith
Bullock of Brighton, Missouri.
Visitation was Tuesday, July 21, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral service was Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 2 p.m. in the St. James
Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Bill Martin officiating.
Interment will be in the Miles Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James,
Missouri.
William Henry “Jack” Davis
William Henry “Jack” Davis, 88, of Imperial, Missouri, formerly of Davisville,
Missouri, was born May 2, 1921 to Roy and Estelle Frances “Fannie” Martin
Davis in Davisville, Missouri and passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009
at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in St. James, Missouri at the age of 88 years.
On November 26, 1949 in St. Louis, he was united in marriage to Ina Turnbough
who preceded him in death on April 8, 2002.
“Jack” served his country as a Rifleman in the U.S. Army during World War II
from June 1942 to September 1945. He was awarded four Bronze Stars for the
campaigns in Normandy, Northern France and Rhineland. He was also awarded the
Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster having been wounded in France in August of
1944 and again in October of 1944. The Silver Star Medal and Good Conduct
Medal were also awarded to him. “Jack” was entitled to wear the European-
African-Middle Eastern Theatre campaign Ribbon. He served as an overseer of a
Displaced Persons Camp. Years later he donated memorabilia to the Holocaust
Museum in Maryland Heights, Missouri.
He was a member of the Bethesda General Baptist Church in Imperial where he
served as a Sunday school teacher and sang in the choir.
He retired in 1983 from City Services in St. Louis and was a former member
of the UAW.
“Jack” always enjoyed fishing, gardening and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Estelle Davis; his wife, Ina;
an infant son, Lionel D. Davis; one daughter, Donna Sue Davis; five brothers,
Glen Davis and wife Virginia, Gilbert Davis, Eugene Davis, Max Davis and
Lytle Davis; two sisters, Hazel Gibbs and husband Ray and Nerene McGlasson
and husband Bruce; sister-in-law Agnes Davis; brother-in-law Treffie Adams.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacqulyn Davis of Pevely, Missouri; one
brother, Louis Davis of Steelville, Missouri; two sisters, Hilma Adams of
Linn, Missouri and Margaret Jo Ann Crabtree and husband Robert of Bourbon,
Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Ina Davis of Steelville, Missouri, Elsie
Davis of Overland, Missouri and Mildred Davis of St. Louis, Missouri; two
grandchildren, Pamela Tullock and husband Peter of Crystal City, Missouri
and Karin Kostich and husband Gregory of Imperial, Missouri; three great
grandchildren, Logan, Peyton and Harrison; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Elmer
Turnbough officiating. Special music of “Peace in the Valley” and “The Old
Rugged Cross” was sung by granddaughter, Karin Kostich. Memories were shared
by Charles Davis and Bob Crabtree.
Committal prayer and burial with military honors were conducted by the
U.S. Army in the Davisville Cemetery in Davisville, Missouri. “Amazing
Grace” was played on bagpipes by Rob Bowness.
Casket bearers were Charles Davis, Bill Davis, Gary Davis, Daniel Davis,
Rick Crabtree and Dave Warner.

Glenn David Eicher
Glenn David Eicher of St. James, Missouri, was born May 8, 1935 at
Springdale, Arkansas, to H.H (Bill) and Ruth (Renfro) Eicher and passed
away Saturday, July 18, 2009 at his home at the age of 74 years 2 months
and 10 days.
On November 15, 1989 at Steelville, Missouri, Glenn was united in marriage
to Sally Ann Walker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Eicher and one
sister, Helen Reuter.
He is survived by his wife Sally of St. James, Missouri; brother, H.N. Eicher
of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; sisters, Judy King of Hot Springs Village,
Arkansas, Ruth Ann White of Richmond, Virginia and Debbie Addison of
Springdale, Arkansas; other relations and friends.
Memorial service was at 10 a.m. on Tuesday July 21, 2009 at the Jones Funeral
Home in St. James, Missouri, with Dennis Gray Officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Robert Ferrell
Robert Ferrell was born in Vichy, Missouri on June 11, 1933 to Joe and Essie
Ferrell, and grew up around Vichy.
Robert spent most of his working life as a logger. He loved the outdoors so
fishing and hunting were his joy. He could tell you how to catch a big
catfish. After the big catch he then loved to go and to have fish frys and
barbecues.
He was preceded in death in death by his parents, Joe and Essie Ferrell;
wife, Freda; brothers, Milton and Emory and sister, Laura Mae Shanks.
He is survived by children, Amanda Warren, Sylvia Gandy and Robbie Ferrell;
step children, Jim Campbell, Tammy Bunton and Lonnie Campbell; sisters, Norma
Ray and Nora Ferrell; grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives and
friends.
A memorial service was held Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the St. James VFW with
Reverend Leroy Nixon officiating.

Kenneth Ferdinand Hagenhoff
Kenneth Ferdinand Hagenhoff, of Rolla, Missouri, was born in Rolla, Missouri,
on November 6, 1961, to William L. and Catherine (Tappel) Hagenhoff and
passed away Friday, July 17, 2009, at the age of 47 years.
Kenny graduated from Rolla High School in 1980. He worked 27 years at the
Rolla Sheltered Workshop. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in
Rolla.
He was preceded in death by his father, William L. Hagenhoff; sister-in-law,
Linda Hagenhoff, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Catherine Hagenhoff, of Columbia, Missouri;
seven brothers, Stephen Hagenhoff and wife Rita of Fairgrove, Missouri,
Jerome Hagenhoff and wife Sandra of Centertown, Missouri, William A.
Hagenhoff and wife Lori of Chamois, Missouri, Elmer Hagenhoff of Amarillo,
Texas, Richard Hagenhoff and wife Sherrie of Springfield, Missouri, Marvin
Hagenhoff and wife Liz of High Gate, Missouri and Dale Hagenhoff and wife
Malinda of Jefferson City, Missouri; two sisters, Rosanna Brown and
husband Charles of Rolla, Missouri and Beverly Hagenhoff of Columbia,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Null & Son
Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the St. Patrick
Catholic Church with Monsignor David Cox as Celebrant.
Interment was in the Ozark Hills Memorial Gardens in Rolla, Missouri.

Thelma Knuckles
Thelma Knuckles of Bourbon, Missouri was born on January 6, 1915 in Shannon
County, Missouri, to Robert E. and Stella Martha (nee Underwood) Tripp and
passed away Friday, July 10, 2009 at the age of 94 years.
She enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved to cook. For many years she cooked
at Camp Mihaska during the summer and for Bourbon High School during the
school year. After her husband, Wilbur, died, she and several ladies from
Cuba traveled to the Lake of the Ozarks to attend Sunday services and
fellowship for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Stella Tripp; husband,
Wilbur Ray Knuckles; brother, Lowell Tripp; sister, Mable Slattery; son,
Curtis Knuckles and daughter, Elaine Randolph.
She is survived by three sons, Carter, Carl and Donn Knuckles, all of Bourbon,
Missouri; three daughters, Sharon Nolie of Sullivan, Missouri, Estalee Brame
of the state of California and Donna Gramling of Patterson, Missouri; one
sister, Dora Williams of the state of Washington; many grandchildren; great
grandchildren; great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the Chapel of the
Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Vince Szymkowiak
officiating.
Burial in the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Missouri.
Ernest Neal Pryor
Ernest Neal Pryor of Warrenton, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri
was born May 24, 1931 to Raymond Samual and Thelma Alice (Martin) Pryor and
passed away suddenly Sunday July 19, 2008 at the age of 78 years.
“Neal” as he was known by friends, was united in marriage to Vera Claudine
Williams on January 25, 1953 at Heartford, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Thelma Pryor and one son,
David Neal Pryor.
He is survived by his wife Vera of 56 years; one daughter, Lynn Marie Brown
and husband Don of Warrenton, Missouri; sisters, Rose Mary Barber of Kansas
City, Missouri and Rhea Alice Cordsmeyer of Columbia, Missouri; one very
special granddaughter, Amanda Lynn Wade of Warrenton, Missouri.
Visitation was from 4-8 Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Jones Funeral Home in
St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri, with Rick Mosher officiating.
Burial with full military honors were at the family plot at the Rolla
Cemetery.
All arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in
St. James, Missouri.
Benjamin Franklin Reed, Jr.
Benjamin Franklin Reed, Jr. was born on Saturday, August 4, 1945 in White
Plains, New York, to Benjamin Franklin Reed, Sr. and Willa Mae Reed and
passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of
63 years, 11 months, and 9 days.
Benjamin served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He
married Pamela Hajek on October 15, 1995 in Sarasota, Florida. His hobbies
were cooking, fishing, birdwatching and working with flowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Willa Mae Reed;
stepmother, Lillian Reed; sister, Deborah Reed, and father-in-law,
Charles E. Hajek, Sr.
He is survived by his wife Pamela of the home; son, Benjamin Franklin
Reed, III of Park Hills, Missouri; stepdaughter, Jennifer (Gabe) Parrett
of Steelville, Missouri; mother-in-law, Kathrine L. Arcand of Irondale,
Missouri; brothers, Carl Reed of New York, Brian (Sabrina) Reed of Virginia,
Rachine Reed of New York; sisters, Kathleen Sounders of Georgia, Patty and
Penny Reed of New York; grandchild, Hayleigh Parrett; brothers-in-law,
Charles Skip (Susan) Hajek of Steelville, Missouri and Gregory Hajek of
Irondale, Missouri; sister-in-law, Victoria Lee (Wm) Weber of Steelville,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-7:30 p.m. with memorial service at 7:30 p.m. on Monday,
July 20, 2009 at Columbia Park, Park Hills, Missouri. Burial was Tuesday,
July 21, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis,
Missouri with full military honors.

Missouri.
Thomas Eugene Walker
Thomas Eugene Walker of Bourbon, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri,
was born November 27, 1927 in Steelville, Missouri to Clyde and Virgie
(Clonts) Walker and passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at St. John’s Mercy
Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 81 years.
In July of 1949, he married Bettye Jo Turner in Steelville, Missouri and to
this union two children were born. She preceded him in death in March of 1990.
He later married Fairy (Hertel) Bryan Walker in Nashville, Tennessee in
January of 1993.
He was a member of the Fellowship First Baptist Church in High Ridge. He
served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952-1953. For over 50 years he was
a member of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #77 of Steelville, Missouri.
Thomas retired in 1993 after many years in electrical manufacturing.
He enjoyed the outdoors and you could find him doing yard work, fishing or
gardening. He loved to travel and go camping or spending time in his cabin in
Canada. During the last few years, Thomas and Fairy would travel to different
locations to square dance and he became very good at his new talent.
He is survived by his wife, Fairy of Bourbon, Missouri; one son, Dean Walker
and wife Sonya of Steelville, Missouri; one daughter, Bettinna Wise and
husband Dave of High Ridge, Missouri; two step-sons, Mike Bryan and wife
Linda of Sullivan, Missouri and Doug Bryan and wife Tammy of Beaufort,
Missouri; two step daughters, Catherine Eikermann and husband Lee of Bourbon,
Missouri and Nancy Schatz and husband Jody of Leslie, Missouri; three
sisters, Aileen Moutray and Ava Bishop and husband Kenneth, all of
Steelville, Missouri and Florence Souders and husband John of Fenton,
Missouri; one brother-in-law, Lloyd Bouse of St. Clair, Missouri; 21
grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Virgie Walker; his first
wife, Bettye Jo Walker and brother-in-law, Raymond Moutray.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Masonic services were also held
at 7 p.m. by the Lebanon Masonic Lodge #77 of Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Terry Mahurin
officiating. Special music of “In the Garden” and “Red Fox Waltz” were played
by Wyatt and Lee Eikermann on violin and guitar. Memories were shared by
Doug Bryan, Jodie Schatz and Lee Eikermann.
Committal prayer and burial with military honors were conducted by the
U.S. Army in the Steelville Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jeremy Ryan, Travis Ryan, Luke Eikermann, Hershel Burrow
and Shane Gashette.
Arrangements under the direction of the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of
Steelville, Missouri.
Blanche A. Wofford
Blanche A. Wofford was born on May 7, 1919 in Rural Dent County, Missouri to
Walter Grogan and Luttie (Halbrook) Grogan and passed away July 13, 2009 in
St. James, Missouri at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 6 days.
Blanche spent most of her life living and working in the Dent County area,
graduating from Salem High School in 1938.
She was a long time member of the Salem Rebekah Lodge. Spending time outdoors
and enjoying nature was a favorite past time but everyone looked forward to
her cooking and baking skills. The love of her family brought her the
greatest pleasure.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Luttie Grogan; her son,
Robert “Bob” Snelson; and brother, Hancel Grogan.
She is survived by a son, Mack Snelson and wife Debbie of Steelville,
Missouri; granddaughter, Lisa Nothaus and husband Raymond of Rolla, Missouri;
two great granddaughters; her niece, Beverly Jean Grogan other family and
friends.
Graveside service was at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Cedar Grove
Cemetery, Salem, Missouri with Ken Fiebelman officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the James & Gahr Mortuary, St. James,
Missouri.
