Jack Francis Cahill, Sr.
Jack Francis Cahill, Sr. of Tucson, Arizona passed away
suddenly Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at the age of 80 years as the result
of a fishing accident on the Meramec River near his family farm
outside of Leasburg, Missouri.
Jack was born on Sunday, February 14, 1926 in St. Louis,
Missouri to the late Francis (Bud) Cahill and Verna Effinger Cahill.
He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and attended schools in University
City then graduated from Clayton High School. Jack served his
country honorably in the Army Air Corps during WWII and achieved the

resided for the past 16 years. He enjoyed fishing, searching for
another hole in one on the golf course and visiting the family farm
near Leasburg, Missouri. Most of all Jack loved his family very much
and was known to tell a good story or two. It seems almost
appropriate that Jack's life ended the way it did on the old family
farm in Leasburg, Missouri where he had attended the family reunion
and was fishing at his favorite fishing hole on the Meramec River
for that trophy bass "Walter."
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother,
Richard (Dick) Cahill.

wife of 57 years, Suzanne Cahill of Tucson, Arizona; five children,
