Alta Beulah Barlet
Alta Beulah Barlet of Cuba, Missouri was born June 30, 1918
at Biggers, Arkansas to the union of Joseph Carter and Florence
Pennington Carter and passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at
Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 87
years and 23 days.
Alta worked for years for Brown Shoe Company.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba.
Alta is preceded in death by her parents, husband Louis
T. Barlet, Sr., one daughter Jacqueline Leasor, one brother Harold
Carter and one sister Alious Simons.
Those who survive are her children Louis Barlet, Jr. and
wife Doris and Geraldine Dickens and husband Paul, eight
grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and seven great great
grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday, July 25, 2005 at Britton
Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at 11
a.m. at Britton Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Interment was in Meramec Hills Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.
All arrangements were under the direction of Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
Madeline Eleanor Blunt
Madeline Eleanor Blunt of Cuba, Missouri was born June 5, 1926
at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of William Dalton and
Ella Trackler Dalton and passed away on July 22, 2005 at Cuba Manor
at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 17 days.
Madeline was united in marriage to William Haskell
"Hack" Blunt on July 20, 1946 in Cuba, Missouri. Two daughters Sandy
and Dori and one son Butch, were born to this union.
Madeline worked in food service many years, retiring
from Skelly Truck Stop (Voss) in Cuba, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters,
Ruth, Mary and Sue.
Those who survive are her loving husband of 59 years
"Hack" Blunt; children, Sandy and husband (Jack) Hansel, Dori Perry
and Butch Blunt. Two sisters, Marge Lowes and Chub Zinn; six
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Madeline donated her body to Washington University
School of Medicine.
The family was served by Britton Funeral Home, Cuba,
Missouri.
Joan Delores Bobbitt
Joan Delores Bobbitt, nee Immekus, of Columbia, Missouri, was born
Thursday, January 16, 1942 in Sullivan, Missouri, a daughter of
Bonnie Juanita Immekus, nee Satterlee, and the late Ralph Norman
Immekus.
She departed this life Saturday, July 16, 2005 at the
University Hospital, Columbia, Missouri, at the age of 63 years and
6 months.
Joan was united in marriage to Marion Lee Bobbitt. Two
sons and two daughters were born to this union. Marion preceded Joan
in death on March 19, 1998.
In addition to her father and husband, Joan was preceded
in death by one son, Danny Lee Bobbitt, December 19, 1988. She was
also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Fred Bobbitt and
sister-in-law, Ginger Bobbitt.
Among those who remain to mourn her passing are her
mother, Bonnie Juanita Immekus of Bourbon, Missouri; a son, Ralph
Bobbitt of Columbia, Missouri, two daughters, Teresa Hess and
husband James of Ashland, Missouri and Shirley Lawellin and husband
Paul of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Five grandchildren, Alan, Chris, Kimberly, Jessica, and
Samantha; two brothers, Dennis Immekus and wife Darlene of Bourbon,
Missouri and Mark Immekus of Jefferson City, Missouri; two sisters,
Judy Eoff and husband Albert of Bourbon, Missouri and Janet Stigman
ofWashington, Missouri.
Mother-in-law, Addie Bobbitt of St. James, Missouri;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim Bobbitt of Columbia,
Missouri, Bill Bobbitt of Bourbon, Missouri, Mary and Tom LaPlant,
Joyce and Lacy Phares, all of Steelville, Missouri, and Rita and
husband John Hunter of St. James, Missouri; nieces, nephews,
cousins, other relatives and friends.
Joan Delores Bobbitt lay in state 11 a.m. Tuesday, July
19, 2005, until time of service, at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri. Funeral Services were held 2 p.m. in the
Britton Chapel with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating.
Committal prayers and interment were in the Pleasant
Hill Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
Pallbearers were Romie Marquart, Russell Ware, Glenn
Ware, James Eoff, Allen Eoff and Matthew Eoff.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Britton
Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Susanna Lucille McCann Dusenberry
Susanna Lucille McCann Dusenberry of Cuba, Missouri was
born January 22, 1923 at Camdenton Co., Missouri to the union of
Robert Clay Turpin and Bessie Roe Turpin and passed away on Friday,
July 22, 2005 at Phelps County Regional Medical Center at the age of
82 years, 6 months and 2 days.
Lucille worked many years in food service as a
restaurant manager.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson
Joey Vann.
Those who survive are her loving children Hoyt McCann
and wife Lil, step son George McCann and wife Mamie, Pat Watson and
husband Roy, Sue Papen and husband Gale, Kay Vann and Jeannie Marler
and husband Mike, 15 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and one
great great grandchild; and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba,
Missouri, on Sunday, July 24, 2005.
Funeral services were held at Britton Funeral Home,
Cuba, Missouri on Monday July 25. Interment was held in Kinder
Cemetery.
Samantha J. Henderson
Samantha Josephine Henderson nee Love of Cuba, Missouri
was born on Sunday, July 17, 1988 at St. Louis, Missouri to Bobber
Willie Love and Barbara Ricotta Love. She passed away from the
results of a car accident on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the age of
17 years and 3 days.
Samantha married Damon Henderson on November 8, 2004 in
Steelville, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born.
Samantha had attended Cuba High School and had previously worked at
Pizza Pro, then most recently as a waitress at Voss Truck Port. She
liked to sew and especially spend time with her friends and family.
Those who preceded her in death were her great
grandparents and grandfather Vincent Sam Ricotta.
She is survived by her husband Damon Henderson; one
daughter Ellaina Henderson; her mother Barbara Ricotta, all of Cuba,
Missouri; her father Willie Love of St. Louis, Missouri; grandmother
Regina Kell and husband Leo of Cuba, Missouri, Matti Bell Love and
Willie B. Love of St. Louis, Missouri.
Parents-in-law Leilani Strosnider of Bourbon, Missouri
and Russell Henderson of Russelville, Kentucky; brothers Stephen
Leavy, Jr. of DeSoto, Missouri and Antonio Love of Cuba, Missouri;
sisters 2nd Lieutenant Julianne Ross Leavy of U.S. Air Force,
Krystal Mary Pasternak of Arnold, Missouri, Malerie Love of U.S.
Navy, Rita Love, and Nikki Banks, all of Atlanta, Georgia; great
grandmother Vivian Mitchell of Cuba, Missouri; nieces, nephews,
cousins and many friends.
Visitation was Saturday, July 23, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at
Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral services were Sunday, July 24, 2005 at 3 p.m. at
Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with Pastor Mary Winter
officiating.
Final disposition was cremation.
All arrangements were under the direction of Hutson
Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Braden Michael Humble
Braden Michael Humble of Mineral Point, Missouri
(formerly of Steelville, Missouri) was born Thursday, December 29, 1988
in Denver, Colorado, son and of Cheryl and Terry Stewart and
the late Franklin Joe Chavedo.
He passed away suddenly the result of an automobile
accident, Thursday, July 14, 2005 near Salem, Missouri at the age of
16 years, 6 months, and 15 days.
Braden was a student at the Potosi High School. Braden
was a soldier in God's Army. He loved the Lord very much. He touched
everyone he met.
In addition to his father, Braden was preceded in death
by his step- grandfather Grant Brewer of Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his mother and
step-father, Cheryl and Terry Stewart of Mineral Point, Missouri;
one brother Tyson Chavedo of Moore, Oklahoma; three sisters, Sheena
Chavedo of Mineral Point, Missouri, Ashley Humble of Steelville,
Missouri, and Elizabeth Stewart of Potosi, Missouri.
Grandparents Bill and Betty Hodge of Salem, Missouri,
Roy and Karen Chavedo of Hooker, Oklahoma, Ralph and Shan McGowen of
New Mexico and step grandmother Dorothy Brewer of Bonne Terre,
Missouri; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives
and many friends.
Braden Michael Humble lay in state 5-8 p.m. Monday, July
18, 2005 at the Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11
a.m. in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Billy Anderson officiating.
Committal Prayers and interment were in the Steelville
Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
Serving as pallbearers were Scott Clark, Justin Guthrie,
Brandon Major, Floyd Stewart, Frank Vance, Charlie Whitworth and
Keith Wieble.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Britton
Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Eugene "Geno" Ted Niedbalski
Eugene "Geno" Ted Niedbalski of Cuba, Missouri as born
on March 24, 1933 at Nashville, Illinois to the union of Andrew
Niedbalski and Frances Dubala Niedbalski and passed away on July 19,
2005 at his home near Cuba, Missouri at the age of 72 years 3 months
and 25 days.
Geno was united in marriage to Barbara Reiner. One
daughter, Susan, and three sons, Billy, Gene and Roger, were born to
this union.
Geno was the owner-operator of an automobile body shop
for many years in Cuba.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers,
Mike and Joe Niedbalski and one granddaughter, Malinda Niedbalski.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life
are his loving wife Barbara Niedbalski; children, Susan Phillips and
husband Charles, Billy Niedbalski, Gene Niedbalski and wife Marsha
and Roger Niedbalski and wife Carol; two sisters Maggie Mantych and
Clara Boyet.
Six grandchildren, Monica McClearon, Mick and Michael
Niedbalski, Billy Harvey Jr., Jake and Andrew Niedbalski; five great
grandchildren, James Stark Jr., Anthony Harvey, Joshua Harvey,
Brandon McClearon and Carlie Harvey; other relatives and many
friends.
Geno was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great
grandfather, brother, good friend to all who knew him and will be
sadly missed.
Eugene "Geno" Ted Niedbalski was in state at the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri where funeral services were held on
Thursday July 21, 2005 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Stanley Collins
officiating. Interment was in the Lickcreek Cemetery, Cuba,
Missouri.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri.
