On July 2, 1965, he was united in marriage to Catherine Elaine Barton and to this marriage four sons were born. He was baptized in the early 60’s at Dillard. He enjoyed being with his sons and grandchildren, riding horses, playing music, farming, and hunting. He liked to make knives and fiddles. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Chandler; one son, Christopher Allen Chandler; one granddaughter, Jenna Lynn Chandler; one brother, Harold Chandler; one sister, Doris Dunlap and an infant nephew, Seth. Denney was born on Tuesday, July 10, 1928 in Carthage, Missouri to Warren Thomas Denney and Ethel Rose Denney nee McKelvey and passed away on Friday, July 23, 2010 at his home in Crestwood, Missouri at the age of 82 years and 13 days. On November 10, 1950 Leslie F. Denney was united in marriage to Barbara J. Alexander in Eureka Springs, Arkansas and to this union one son was born. Les entered the US military in 1946 and served as a B-17 Navigator in the Army Air Force assigned to the Southern Command. He was active in Boy Scouts and many Masonic organizations. Most notably, he was Past Master of Webster Groves Lodge #84, Past Venerable Master Lodge of Perfection, Scottish Rite St. Louis Valley, thirty third degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Moolah Shrine, and Royal Order of Jester’s Court #81. His proudest achievement was the founding in 1988 of the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language disorders. It has treated over 15,000 children. He was in the lumber industry for 57 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Ethel Denney; wife, Barbara; sister, Mary Grieb and husband Ellis; brothers, Robert and William Denney. She graduated from Sullivan High School and married Gordian J. Mathias in 1938 at Lebanon, Missouri. Gordian preceded her in death in March of 1998. Hector Oman McDonald Hector Oman McDonald of Rolla, Missouri was born on September 4, 1930 at Casper, Wyoming to James Edward and Thelma (Oman) McDonald and passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2010 at the SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 79 years, 10 months and 14 days. He was united in marriage to Rosella Fay Cole on September 14, 1952 at the Central Methodist Church in Sedalia, Missouri. They were married for 57 years. Hector worked for the Bureau of Mines in Rolla, Mo. in the 70’s until they closed. He was a Deacon at the First Baptist Church in Rolla, Mo. He was still teaching Sunday School class, was in the Boy Scouts for many years and got the Vigil Honor. He was a member of the Optimist Club, the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity and the American Chemical Society for 50 years. Hector had a PHD full professor degree. He taught chemistry at the University of Missouri Rolla for 35 years. He was a Professor Emeritus at University of Missouri. His hobbies were reading books, working on the computer, fishing, collecting stamps and he loved his three dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Thelma (Oman) McDonald. He is survived by his wife of the home, Rosella Fay of Rolla, Missouri; one son, Stephen Lee McDonald and wife Kimberly of Tyler, Texas; one daughter, Marsha Pounds and husband George of Rolla, Missouri; three grandchildren, Kelly Robinson, Christopher Robinson and Hanna Rose McDonald; other relatives and friends. Pool Dr. Robert (Bob) H. Pool was born in Hartville, Missouri January 27, 1931 to Harold and Minnie Pool and passed away July 19, 2010 at the Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa at the age of 79 years. During his high school years, he assisted with the operation of the print shop part of the local newspaper, The Wright County Republican. After high school, he attended Draughon’s Business College in Springfield, Missouri and then went to work at the Wright County Bank in Hartville, Missouri. Later he accepted a job as a dumpman for a daily paper in Springfield, Missouri. He left the newspaper in 1950 and joined the US Air Force, completing basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas He transferred to the US Army in 1952, going into Airborne training, ending up at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina in the 10th Special Forces Group (Special Forces later became the Green Berets). After the Army he worked for Peter Kewitt & Sons Company in St. James, Missouri where he met his future wife, Dorothy Lorts. He and Dorothy were married June 12, 1955. In 1954, he started attending the Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy (MSM) at Rolla, Missouri and graduated in 1958. He went to work for Collins Radio Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In 1978, he became head of a research organization called the Communications and Signal Processing Group. He retired from Rockwell-Collins in 1991. After retirement Bob and Dorothy enjoyed traveling to various locations throughout the United States and overseas. For a while, Bob volunteered for the K-12 Program sponsored by Rockwell- Collins. He later volunteered for Integrated Services in St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Bob had a great interest in photography and computers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Minnie Pool and a sister, Venita Lodeane Frazier. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; daughter, Debra Rettenmeier (Dale) of Hiawatha, Iowa; son, Ron Pool (Heidi) of Ames, Iowa and six grandchildren, Staci and Amy Rettenmeier of Hiawatha, Iowa, Luke Pettipoole (Megan) of Des Moines, Iowa, Ben and Ryan Pool of Aurora, Colorado and Jordan Pool of Ames, Iowa; other relatives and friends.
