James Nathan Hansel
James Nathan Hansel of Cuba, Mo. was born on January 6, 1912 at Mt. Vernon,
Kentucky to the union of the late John Jack Hansel and Margaret (Arnold)
Hansel and passed away on July 24. 2002 at his home in Cuba, Mo.
Jim retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad to the farm he loved north
of Cuba. He was a 55 year member of the United Transportation Union.
Those who survive to mourn his passing from this life are his wife Erma
Hansel; six sons, Bill, Jim, Bob, Jack and Gary Hansel; one daughter Brenda
White; daughters-in-law; son-in-law; 18 grandchildren; 27
great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and many
friends. Jim was a loving husband, father, grandfather, good friend to all
who knew him and will be sadly missed.
James Nathan Hansel was in state at the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo.
where funeral services were held on Saturday, July 27. 2002 at 11 a.m. with
Rev. James Self officiating. Interment was in the Meramec Hills Cemetery,
Cuba, Mo.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of
Cuba, Mo.
Beatrice Margaret Walls
Beatrice Margaret Walls nee Koch of Cuba, Mo. was born on January 7, 1926
at Breese, Illinois to the union of Joseph Koch and Elizabeth (Aarns) Koch
and passed away on July 22, 2002 at the St. John's Mercy Hospital, St.
Louis, Mo. at the age of 76 years, 6 months and 15 days.
On March 10, 1951 Beatrice (and her daughter, Sandy) were united in
marriage to Kenneth E. Walls in Illinois. They were happily married until
Kenneth preceded her in death on October 30, 1986.
Bea was a member of the Catholic faith.
Those who survive to mourn her passing from this life are her loving
daughter, Sandy O'Dell; two brothers Benedict and Bernard Koch; three
sisters, Dorothy Wrasmann, Cornelia Sorrell and Marcella Knapp; two
grandchildren, John Forester and Linda Henry; two great-grandchildren,
Letitia Henry and Chance Henry; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and many
friends.
Bea was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister, good friend to all who knew her and will be sadly missed.
Memorial services for Beatrice Margaret Walls was held on Thursday, July
25, 2002 at 10 a.m. at the Britton
Funeral Home of Cuba, Mo. with Father James Finder officiating. Interment
Kinder Cemetery, Cuba, Mo.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of
Cuba, Mo.
