MO Local Obituaries for the Week of July 31, 2019 James Ray "Jim" Gibbs Jr. James Ray "Jim" Gibbs Jr. was born on September 10, 1942 in Davisville, Missouri to the James Ray Gibbs and Hazel (Davis) Gibbs Sr. and passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the age of 76 years. Jim married Judy Ann Dodd on February 25, 1967 in St. James, Missouri. Jim, along with his wife Judy, owned and operated Jim & Judy's Cleaning Service for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, National Rabbit Association and served his country for six years in the United States Army National Guard. He enjoyed farming, gardening, animals and coin collecting. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Ann Gibbs, who passed away on July 18, 2019; one brother, Ken Gibbs; one infant sister, Mary Ruth Gibbs; and one brother-in-law, Harry Thomas. He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly and husband Troy Foster of Charlestown, Indiana and Tiffany and husband Ben Bailey of Bonne Terre, Missouri; three grandchildren, Sarah and husband Kyle Tilley of Carmel, Indiana, Zachariah Foster of Nabb, Indiana and Rachel Foster of Nabb, Indiana; sisters and brothers, Frances Thomas of Springfield, Missouri, Vera and husband Carl Price of Springfield, Missouri, Jolene Gibbs of Steelville, Missouri, Paul and wife Yvonne Gibbs of St. Charles, Missouri, Rhonda Gayle and husband Carrol Deal of Springfield, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Billy and wife Linda Dodd of Cuba, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Judy Ann Gibbs Judy Ann Gibbs of Cuba, Missouri was born on October 31, 1948 in Sullivan, Missouri to William R. "Bill" and Mary Elizabeth (Ruckman) Dodd Sr. and passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the age of 70 years. Judy married James "Jim" Gibbs on February 25, 1967 in St. James, Missouri. Judy along with her husband Jim owned and operated Jim & Judy's Cleaning Service for over 40 years. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri. She loved taking care of her home. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents, William "Bill" and Mary Dodd Sr.; one brother, Ernie Dodd; and two brothers-in-law, Harry Thomas and Ken Gibbs. William Louis Haacke William Louis Haacke of Longview, Texas was born April 2, 1944 at St. James, Missouri to Edwin "Ed" and Naomi Matlock Haacke and passed away on July 15, 2019 at the age of 75 years, 3 months and 13 days. Imogene Vaughn Imogene Vaughn (nee Dugan) of Cuba, Missouri was born in Marshfield, Missouri on Saturday, November 7, 1931 to Joe and Ester (Bennett) Dugan and passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 16 days. In her young teen years Imogene worked as a waitress at Midway Restaurant in Cuba, Missouri. It was there, when she was 15 years old, she met the man who would later become her husband. On December 31, 1949 in Steelville, Missouri she married Wilbur Jewel Vaughn. Imogene accepted the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church, Cuba, Missouri. She later worked until retirement in housekeeping for the Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri. She volunteered her time at the Crawford County Historical Museum and also the Food Pantry, both in Cuba, Missouri. In her spare time she liked to read and work crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ester Dugan; parents-in-law, Henry and Myrtle Vaughn; husband, Wilbur Jewel Vaughn; son, Bryan Vaughn; brothers, Eugene Dugan and Alfred (Linda) Dugan; sister, Dorothy (Granville) Andrews; brothers-in-law, Floyd Vaughn, Lloyd Vaughn, Everett Vaughn, Earl (Ruth) Vaughn, Noel (Eilene) Vaughn and Elmer Vaughn; and sister-in-law, May Vaughn. Ronnie Lee Wenzel Ronnie Lee Wenzel of Bourbon, Missouri was born Saturday, October 31, 1959 at Salem, Missouri to Ernest and Thelma (nee Miller) Wenzel and passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at the age of 59 years. Ronnie worked as a laborer most of his life. He had to retire from the sawmill when his health began to decline two years ago. Ronnie was an avid reader of westerns and his bible and you could find him every day on a walk. Family is what meant the world to Ronnie and every year, at this time, there would be a family camping trip. Ronnie loved spending time with his grandsons and was so excited about getting a granddaughter. For the last two years, Ronnie was been the caregiver for his mom. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Wenzel; brother, Gary Wenzel; and infant brother, Bobby Wenzel.
