June E. Adams
June E. Adams of St. James, Missouri was born July 28, 1926 in Phelps
County, Missouri to Leslie and Jessie (Bailey) Hayes and passed away
July 18, 2012 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
June was a homemaker all her life. She loved her family and friends and
helping people was her mission in life.
After the death of her only son Gene, his son was the comfort that she
needed to make it through. She was truly the inspiration of this family.
She enjoyed collecting redbirds and had hundreds in her collection.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Jessie Hayes; two
husbands, Elbie Hickman and Austin Adams; son, Gene Hodges; sister, Irene
Nabor; brothers, Charles, Arnold and Merle Hodges.
She is survived by her grandson, Charles Hodges and wife Terry of
St. James, Missouri; great grandchildren, Justin and Christy Hodges; great
great grandchildren, Cameron Tennyson and Sparkle Story; other relatives
and friends.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the
St. James Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Stephen Brubaker
officiating.

Darrell William Bunton Sr.
Darrell William Bunton Sr. of Rolla was born March 4, 1944 in Vichy,
Missouri to Thomas and Celia (Cochran) Bunton, and passed away
July 21, 2012 in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 68 years.
He was born and raised in Coral Holler near Vichy, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Celia Bunton; son,
Harold Campbell; sister, Juanita Geren and brothers, Emmit, Thurman and
Herman Bunton. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Bunton and
significant other Robert Gerichten of Rolla, Missouri and Lori Ann Pincus
and husband Donald of Manassas, Virginia; sons, Darrell William Bunton Jr.
and wife Kristine of Rolla, Missouri and James Douglas Bunton Sr. and wife
Jaimie of St. James, Missouri; sisters, Genevieve Crane of Troy, Missouri
and Edna Wulfert and husband Butch of Moscow Mills, Missouri; brothers,
Delmar Bunton and wife Shirley of Wellsville, Missouri and Ermal Bunton and
wife Marie of Rolla, Missouri; grandchildren, Lauren, Blake, Brooke, Lexus
and Lacey Pincus and JD, Jordan and Ashley Bunton; other relatives and
friends.
Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Asher
Cemetery in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Harold Taylor officiating.

Betty Jean Hogan Cowling
Betty Jean Hogan Cowling was born on August 29, 1936 in Dillard, Crawford
County, Missouri to Melvin Lafayette Hogan and Mamie Dicy Sellers and
passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 in Provo, Utah of metastasized
breast cancer.
She graduated from Steelville High School and attended some college. She
had worked for Western Electric, the US Postal Service, and Wal-Mart.
Although Betty was born in Dillard, she had also lived in the Missouri
towns of Steelville, Maryland Heights, O’Fallon, Troy and Wentzville.
She also lived in Wisconsin while her husband attended school and most
recently lived in Provo, Utah.
Betty was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
since 1967 and frequently served the children as a primary worker.
She loved music, playing the clarinet in high school and singing in the
choir with her beautiful alto voice. She liked to hike and read. Betty also
admired handiwork and craftsmanship. History and genealogy interested her,
and she loved to travel and learn about new places.
She was formerly married to Robert Irving Cowling and had seven children,
30 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded by parents, Melvin and Mamie Hogan; brothers, Thurston,
Harry and Leonard; sisters, Irma and Dolores; daughter, Phyllis; grand-
daughter, Anna Wiest and great granddaughter, Dysamae Minson.
She is survived by daughters, Anya Elizabeth and husband Bryan Gilbert
Allred, Bobbi Denise and husband Peter David Benesh; sons, Forrest Irving
and wife Beth Ann, Christopher Robert and wife Andrea, Milton Earl and
Major Daniel Melvin and wife Kristina Diane; son-in-law, Walter “Bud”
Wiest; siblings, Jesse and her twin brother, Paul; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held from 10:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Monday,
July 23, 2012 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
A funeral service was held at noon on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Bryan Gilbert Allred
officiating.
Memories were shared by her children and the eulogy was given by her
brother, Jesse Hogan. Music was sung by her grandchildren and other
family members. Prelude and postlude were played by Darlene Cape. The
closing prayer was by her twin brother, Paul Hogan.
Casket bearers were Robert Irving Cowling, Forrest Irving Cowling,
Christopher Robert Cowling, Milton Earl Cowling, Daniel Melvin Cowling,
Jacob Bryan Allred, Austin David Benesh, Nathan Daniel Benesh and Colin
Daniel Wiest.
Committal prayer, dedication of the grave and burial were in the Sellers
Cemetery at Dillard, Missouri.

Christopher John Doyle
Christopher John Doyle of Washington, Missouri was born November 25, 1969
to Gary and Mary nee Benfield
Doyle and passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in Sullivan, Missouri at the
age of 42 years.
He was Welder at SM Mechanical in Fenton.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, deer watching and collecting arrowheads.
He is survived by his parents, Gary Eugene and Mary Frances Doyle; one son,
David of Park Hills, Missouri; one brother, Kevin of Cuba, Missouri; one
niece, Krystal Doyle of St. Clair, Missouri; his fianceé, Amy Elbert of
Washington, Missouri; four aunts, Sandy Thilenius and husband Mark of Union,
Missouri, Carol Mercer and husband Paul of Sullivan, Missouri, Evelyn Paul
of Bourbon, Missouri and Judy Doyle of Cuba, Missouri; one uncle, William
Doyle of Trinidad, Colorado; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Sunday July 29, 2012 at the First
Presbyterian Church of Cuba with Pastor Pat Gruber officiating.

Harrison W. Eaton
Harrison W. Eaton of Sullivan, Missouri, was born at Granite City,
Illinois on October 22, 1936 to Harrison M. and Ethel M. (Trout) Eaton
and passed away Friday, July 20, 2012 at the age of 75 years.
Harry was the former owner and operator of the Eaton Funeral Home and
retired inspector/investigator for the State Board of Embalmers and
Funeral Directors and bugler for the Missouri Military Funeral Honors.
In 1948, the family moved to Sullivan, Missouri where Harry’s father
started a funeral business. He joined his father in 1957 and they worked
together until 1974 when Harry bought the business. In 1984, Harry retired
and was later employed by the State Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors
as an inspector/investigator.
Harry obtained a license to represent Capital Reserve Insurance Company
selling pre-arrangement insurance to funeral homes throughout the state.
In 2003, he was auditioned and certified by Colonel Wayne Medley as a
bugler for Missouri Military Funeral Honors.
Harry was known throughout the state as a bugler who was honored and
humbled to perform Taps at each and every service. Harry began playing
the trumpet at age nine and played Taps at age 12 for a killed-in-action
Army soldier.
He had the opportunity to play with the St. Louis Symphony for two years
in their Summer Pops Series.
Harry was first married to Norma Dillingham and to this marriage two
children were born. This marriage ended in divorce in 1983. On
October 3, 1997 he was married to Kathleen Boulay.
Harry was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sullivan, 50-year
member of Sullivan Lodge 69, A.F. & A.M., 30-year member of I.O.O.F.
Lodge 156 of Sullivan, Fraternal Order of Eagles of Sullivan, V.F.W. Post
of Union, Missouri, Past District President of the Missouri Funeral
Directors and Embalmers Association. He honorably served his country with
the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of the family home; daughters, Laura
Stolte and husband Mike of Overland Park, Kansas, Lisa Dickson and husband
Brian of Rogersville, Missouri, Carolyn Cross and husband Jim of Sullivan;
sons, H. Kent Eaton and wife Carolyn of Newnan, Georgia and Joel Reed and
wife Amy of Weslaco, Texas; one sister, Mary Eleanor Farrell and husband
Dr. Sam of Washington, Missouri; three brothers, Chuck Eaton and wife
Marcia of Amston, Connecticut, Jim Eaton and wife Mary Ann of Sullivan,
John Eaton and wife Carol of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 10 grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service. with memorial
funeral services conducted at 1 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from the
Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with the Rev. Kaileen Hogan-Brink
and Pastor Scott Perry officiating.

Imogene Hinch
Imogene Hinch of Sullivan, Missouri formerly of Steelville, Missouri was
born on Monday, January 8, 1934 in Oak Hill, Missouri to Fred H. Schoen
and Mamie Marie Luhring Schoen and passed away at the Meramec Nursing
Center, Sullivan, Missouri on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the age of
78 years, 6 months, and 17 days.
Imogene married Clinton Hinch on August 5, 1950 in Thayer, Arkansas and to
this union three children were born. She worked more than 25 years and
retired from the Steelville Public School cafeteria as head cook. When
living in Steelville she had attended the Presbyterian Church, then most
recently was attending Deer Creek Church, Cuba, Missouri. Her hobbies were
flower gardening and watching the St. Louis Cardinal ball team. She enjoyed
shopping and spending time with her friends. She loved her family especially
her grandchildren and will be truly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clinton; infant sister,
Viola Schoen; brother, Milford (May) Schoen; and son-in-law, Sonny Gillam.
She is survived by her children, Janet Hopkins of House Springs, Missouri,
Joan Gillam of Sullivan, Missouri, and Barry (Judy) Hinch of Union,
Missouri; brother, Everette (Rosalee) Schoen of Salem, Missouri;
sisters-in-law, Anna Hinch of Steelville, Missouri, Mary Lou Caruso of
Wayne, Michigan, and Nancy Hinch of Maryland Heights, Missouri; grand-
children, Sherry Elfrank, Kimberly (Scott) Garrett, Preston Gillam,
Bradley Sego, Casey, Devin, Riley and Aaron Hinch, and Natalie Light;
10 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. and Funeral Service on
Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville,
Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.
Burial at Steelville Cemetery.

Delmar T. Parrett
Delmar T. Parrett of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday, March 5, 1923 in
Cherryville, Missouri and passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the
age of 89 years, 4 months and 20 days.
Delmar’s mother was Angie Aril Parrett, and he was raised by his foster
parents, Herman and Golden Parrett.
He served his country honorably during WWII in the United States Army. He
also, was proud of his years of service in the Civilian Conservation Corp
(CCC).
He married Mildred Farrar in Cherryville, Missouri on January 30, 1943 and
to this union four children were born.
He worked and retired from McDonnell Douglas Aircraft Manufacturing as a
punch press operator.
After retirement, they moved to Cuba, Missouri where he was a member of
First Baptist Church, the Cuba Masonic Lodge #212, and the VFW. His hobbies
were fishing, hunting, gardening and watching the St. Louis Cardinals ball
team. He enjoyed visiting with friends and always looked for the good in
everyone.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angie Aril Parrett; foster parents,
Herman and Golden Parrett; sister, Helen Webb; brothers, Sid Parrett and
Warren (Argie) Parrett; parents-in-law, Clark and Esther Farrar;
brothers-in-law, Jim Farrar, Earl Halbert, Charlie Weaver and Jerry Walls;
and sister-in-law, Mabel Farrar.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mildred Parrett of Cuba, Missouri;
children, Fern (Bill) Shaus, Faye Parrett, John (Janet) Parrett and Debbie
(David) Kozoloski, all of St. Louis, Missouri; sisters, Hazel (Les)
Willhite of Sullivan, Missouri, and Bonnie (Paul) Bennett of Springfield,
Missouri; brother-in-law, Norman Webb of Keller, Texas; sisters-in-law,
Edna Halbert of St. Louis, Missouri, Elsie Weaver and Anna Farrar, all of
Steelville, Missouri and Arnetta Walls of California, Missouri; six
grandchildren; six great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Friday, July 27, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. with Masonic Service
at 7 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Hutson Funeral
Home, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Delmar Hutson and Rev. Bob Knight
officiating.
Burial was at the Freeman Cemetery, Cherryville, Missouri with full
military honors.

John Edgar Ruth Sr.
John Edgar Ruth, Sr. of Steelville, Missouri was born October 11, 1926 in
Wheatland, Missouri to John and Myrtle Ruth and passed away Sunday,
July 22, 2012 at Gibbs Care Center in Steelville at the age of 85 years.
He was united in marriage to Ruby Emma Hankins.
He worked at Brown Shoe in Steelville for a few years and other odd jobs
throughout his life. John loved music, yodeling and enjoyed dancing or
“doing a jig.” In his spare time, he would tinker with lawn mowers and in
his younger days would go fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Ruth; his wife,
Ruby Emma Ruth in 1997; step daughter, Rosetta Foster; daughter-in-law,
Jeannie Ruth; and sons-in-law, Earl Starks and William Scott.
He is survived by two sons, Jim Ruth of Steelville, Missouri and John E.
Ruth Jr. and wife Brenda of Oklahoma; three daughters, Terry Scott of
Steelville, Missouri, Joy Stuffelbean and husband Larry of Springfield,
Missouri and Shirley Norton and husband Vess of Oklahoma; two step sons,
Jerry Bayless and wife Sandy of Osceola, Missouri and Bobby Harris and
wife Tonja of Oklahoma; one step daughter, Sharon Adams of Springfield,
Missouri; one step son-in-law, Donnie Foster of Missouri; 23 grandchildren;
64 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 11 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday,
July 25, 2012 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with the Rev. Bob
Coleman officiating. Special music of “I’ll Fly Away,” “Amazing Grace,”
“Daddy’s Hands” and “Go Rest High” was played.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Steelville Cemetery.

Dwain William Sencibaugh
Dwain William Sencibaugh of Cuba, Missouri formerly of Viburnum, Missouri
was born on Monday, September 30, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to William
Pershing and Berta Fae Ruble Sencibaugh and passed away at Cuba Manor on
Friday, July 27, 2012 at the age of 71 years, 9 months and 27 days.
Dwain enjoyed fishing, bowling, going to yard sales and attending the
Rolla Workshop. He also participated in the Special Olympics.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and niece, Melody Faye May.
He is survived by his parents, William and Berta Sencibaugh; brother, Don
Robert (Carolyn) Sencibaugh, all of Cuba, Missouri; sister, Sue (Lawrence
Joseph, Jr.) Boehm of Ellsberry, Missouri; nieces, Michelle (David) Hughes
and Angela (Scott) Roberts, all of Wildwood, Missouri and nephew, Brian
Sencibaugh of Desloge, Missouri; great nieces, Lauren Michelle May, Erica
Lane Walker and Maddie Sencibaugh; great nephews, Kyle William Brickey,
Sean David Hughes and Liam Joseph Hughes; other relatives and friends.
Memorial service was held on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Cuba
Manor, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Spencer Hutson officiating.
