Herbert William Albrecht
Herbert "Bill" Albrecht of Cuba, Missouri was born on
August 7, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Herbert Wm.
Albrecht and Marie (nee Haas) Albrecht and left from this life on
Thursday, July 27, 2006 at St. John's Mercy Health Care in St.
Louis, Missouri at the age of 65 years 11 months and 20 days.
Bill was united in marriage to June (nee Stewart) on
January 6, 1982 at the Cuba United Methodist Church with Rev.
Elizabeth Nau officiating.
He was a loving son, husband, dad, grandpa, great
grandpa, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and
friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved
him.
Bill served in the United States Army. He was a member
of the Cuba American Legion Post #522. He served on the Cuba Fire
Department for many years. He has worked for the past 30+ years for
American Auto Supply and R & L Warehouse of Cuba and Sullivan,
Missouri.
Bill's greatest joy was farming. He believed Kansas was
great farm land! He enjoyed gardening and sharing what he grew with
everyone. He was the family mechanic because he could fix any car.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, traveling and music shows.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Wm.
Albrecht and two brothers-in-law, Bill Dauster and Bill Stewart.
Those who are left to mourn his passing is his loving
wife, June of the home in Cuba, Missouri; his mother Marie of
Montgomery City, Missouri; four sons, Jon and wife Krista Albrecht
of Columbia, Missouri, Kyle Albrecht of Columbia, Missouri, Chuck
"Newt" and wife Edna Albrecht of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Kent
and wife Blanche Frederickson of Cuba, Missouri; two daughters, Kim
and husband Bob Baldwin of Cuba, Missouri and Kelley Bruner of Cuba,
Missouri.
Eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; three
sisters, Barbara Dauster of Chesterfield, Missouri, Lucille and
husband Larry Howard of Durham, North Carolina and Patty Cunningham
of Montgomery City, Missouri; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Stewart Ray
of Cuba, Missouri; three brothers-in-law, Bob and wife Joyce Stewart
of Cuba, Missouri, Cliff and wife Jodi Stewart of Cuba, Missouri,
Chuck and wife Marilyn Stewart of Cuba, Missouri; two
sisters-in-law, Lou Stewart of Waynesville, Missouri and Nancy and
husband Don Fisher of Fort Mohave, Arizona and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, July 29, 2006 from 10 a.m.
until 2 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba. Funeral service 2 p.m.
on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba with Pastor
Gary Mace officiating. Burial at Kinder Cemetery, Cuba with full
military honors.
The family is being served by Britton Funeral Home,
Cuba, Missouri.
Shirley R. Eaton
Shirley R. Eaton nee Ruble of Steelville, Missouri was
born on Thursday, January 28, 1943 in Steelville, Missouri to the
union of Voyd Ruble and Lucille Street Ruble. She passed away on
Monday, July 24, 2006 in her home at the age of 63 years, 5 months
and 26 days.
Shirley married J.D. Eaton on June 2, 1961 in
Steelville, Missouri and to this union two children were born. Early
in life, Shirley made a profession of faith at Center Point Baptist
Church. She babysat for more than 40 years providing childcare in
the community for three generations. She collected salt and pepper
shakers, accumulating 1500 sets. Shirley enjoyed walking and mostly
spending time with family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law
John Eaton; sister-in-law, Bertha Tabor; niece, Sara Tabor;
brothers-in-law, Paul Myers and Bill Wood.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are her husband,
J.D. Eaton of Steelville, Missouri; children, Johnny L. Eaton
(Laveta) of Cuba, Missouri and Michael Eaton of Steelville,
Missouri; brother, Gene Ruble (Mae); sisters, Joan Wood and Barbara
Righter (Pete), all of Steelville, Missouri; mother-in-law, Erma
Thurmond (Kenny) of Cuba, Missouri.
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen Pyatt (Kenny),
Mary Pyatt (Claude), Maxine Myers, Gerald Eaton (Susie), Lloyd Eaton
(Carol), Glenda Stubblefield (Joe), David Eaton (special friend
Angie), all of Cuba, Missouri and Peggy Callahan (Junior) of
Steelville, Missouri; grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon and Cody Eaton;
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, July 26, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. at
Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri. Funeral service was
Thursday, July 27, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home in
Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Delmar B. Hutson officiating. Musical
selections were "Go Rest High on the Mountain" provided by Bob and
Carol Coleman. Brenda Brooks and Melinda Medlock sang "Ride Out Your
Storm" and the CD "Island in the Stream."
Burial was at New Home Cemetery, Keysville, Missouri
with pallbearers Leon Callahan, Joey Eaton, Shawn Eaton, Roy Ruble,
Jimmy Righter and Bill Wood.
All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Evelyn Ruth Hanks
Evelyn Ruth Hanks, age 68, of St. James, Missouri passed
away on Sunday afternoon at Phelps Country Regional Hospital in
Rolla, Missouri. She was born Wednesday, March 23, 1938 in Granite
City, Illinois, the daughter of the late Jesse and Iva Irene
(Tindall) Hubert. She was united in marriage to Charles William
Hanks, Sr. on March 28, 1953 in Steelville, Missouri and to this
union eight children were born.
Evelyn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister
and friend. She had attended Northside Full Gospel Church. She loved
listening and singing music.
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles William
Hanks, Jr.; one brother, Kenneth Hubert; four grandchildren and two
great grandchildren.
Those left to mourn her passing are her husband of 53
years, Charles Hanks; three sons, Joseph Michael Hanks of Phoenix,
Arizona, James Edward Hanks, Sr. and wife Angelia of Cherryville,
Missouri and John Hanks and wife Angelia of Houma, Louisiana; four
daughters, Rosemarie Paceco and husband Isdore of Houma, Louisiana,
Rhonda Hanks of St. James, Missouri, Karen Louise Hebert and husband
Samuel of Houma, Louisiana and Charlotte Irene Bourdeaux and Berklin
of Bourg, Louisiana.
Twenty grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two
brothers, John Edward Hubert and wife Rosetta of Cherryville,
Missouri and Jess Hubert and wife Donna of Rolla, Missouri; two
sisters, Mary Harmon of Jerome, Missouri and Charlotte Gott and
husband Phillip of St. Roberts, Missouri; three sisters-in-law,
Doris Hubert of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, Catherine Hanks of Bunker
Hill, Illinois and Sarah Hanks of Houma, Louisiana.
Funeral services for Evelyn Hanks were held Thursday,
July 20, 2006 in the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer
Garrison, Rev. Jim Gruver and Rev. Mick Thrasher officiating.
Special poems to their mother were read by Rhonda Hanks and Karen
Hebert. Music was sung by grandson Steven White and granddaughter
Rebecca White.
Serving as casket bearers were Samuel Hebert, George
Carey, Burk Boudreaux, Chad Lajaiune, Ed Hubert and Joseph Hanks
with committal prayers and burial in the Steelville Cemetery.
The family was cared for by the Britton-Bennett Funeral
Home of Steelville, Missouri.
Victoria Mash
Victoria "Vickie" Mash of Cuba was born June 12, 1919 at
Rosati, Missouri to the union of Sebastian and Henrietta Cuccarollo
and left from this life on Friday, July 28, 2006 at Rolla, Missouri
at the age of 87 years 1 month and 16 days.
Vickie was married to Henry Mash on June 12, 1946 at
Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cuba, Missouri. Henry passed away
March 19, 1994.
She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law,
grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law,
aunt, cousin and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew
and loved her.
Vickie is preceded in death by her parents, Sebastian
and Henrietta Cuccarollo; one son, Claudie Mash; two grandsons, Chad
and Everett Mash; two brothers, Johnny and Tony Cuccarollo; one
sister, Mary Brown; four sons-in-law, Walter Pierce, Clarence Ray,
Kermit Nolting and Russell Watring.
Those who are left to mourn her passing are her
children, Harold and wife Sharon, Ronald and wife Becky and Leroy
and wife Carol Crider, Joyce Pierce, Gladys Ray, Marie Nolting,
Hazel Twilegar, Everett Mash, Mattie McCullum, Audrey Bridgeman and
friend Keith Graddy and Henrietta Watring; daughters-in-law, Yvonne
and Pat Mash; 41 grandchildren; 80 great grandchildren and a host of
other relatives.
Visitation was held Sunday, July 30, 2006 from 4-8 p.m.
at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Service 10:30 a.m.
Monday, July 31, 2006 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba with Rev. Mr.
Michael Brooks officiating. Burial at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery,
Rosati, Missouri with family serving as pallbearers.
Dale Owen McCanless
Dale Owen McCanless of Leasburg, Missouri was born April
11, 1936 at Memphis, Tennessee to the union of Willie Garfield
McCanless and Agnes Lucille (nee Dillender) McCanless and left from
this life on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Leasburg, Missouri at the
age of 70 years 3 months and 18 days.
Dale grew up around Oak Ridge, Missouri and attend the
Oak Ridge Baptist Church there. He lived in South County, St. Louis,
Missouri for many years before moving to Leasburg in 1983. He
attended the First Southern Baptist Church at Leasburg. Dale was the
Produce Manager for 18 years with A & P and eight years with
Schnucks, St. Louis, Missouri. He and Barb were the former owners of
Skylark Restaurant and Motel in St. Clair, Missouri and DJ's White
Swan in Sullivan. They enjoyed traveling the U.S. playing music at
fairs and festivals.
He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, step
father, grandfather, brother in law, uncle, cousin and friend. He
will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Garfield
and Agnes Lucille McCanless; one brother, Jim McCanless; and two
brothers-in-law, Bill Hupp and Dave Criddle.
Those who are left to mourn his passing is his loving
wife, Barbara Fay McCanless (nee Howlett) of Leasburg, Missouri; one
son, Randy McCanless of Lemay, Missouri; two daughters, Vickie and
husband Herb Faulstich of Osage Beach, Missouri and Beckie and
husband Mark Pointek of Washington, Missouri; three step daughters,
Teresa Lowder of Sullivan, Missouri, Lisa and husband Keith
Sappington of Leslie, Missouri and Rhonda and husband Tom Shields of
Rockford, Illinois.
Fifteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five
brothers, Bob and wife Betty of Bridgeton, Missouri, Elvis and wife
Carolyn of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Keith and wife Carolyn of
Sikeston, Missouri, Rocky and wife Gail of Advance, Missouri and Tom
and wife Janis of New Madrid, Missouri.
Eight sisters, Betty Kinder of Sikeston, Missouri, Doris
and husband AC Adams of Sikeston, Missouri, Linda and husband Erik
Anderson of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Billie and husband Bill
Criddle of Oak Ridge, Missouri, Patsy Criddle of Orlando, Florida,
Juanita and husband Larry Goines of Popular Bluff, Missouri, Kathy
and husband Glen Grisby of Morehouse, Missouri and Sandra Hupp of
Sikeston, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives
and friends.
Visitation was held Monday, July 31, 2006 from 5-8 p.m.
at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service 11 a.m.
Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at Britton Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy
McCanless officiating.
Burial at Lea Cemetery, Leasburg, Missouri. The family
is being cared for by Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri.
