MO Local Obituaries for the Week of August 3, 2016 Sandra "Sandy" Kaye Ard Sandra "Sandy" Kaye Ard of Bourbon, Missouri (formerly of Sullivan, Missouri) was born December 26, 1975 in Town & Country, Missouri to Chester and Sharon (Inglish) Ard and passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at the age of 40 years. For the most part, Sandy grew up and attended school in Sullivan, Missouri graduating from Sullivan High in 1994. That same year, her life was forever changed when she welcomed her son, Shawn into the world. Shawn was born with Cerebral Palsy and Sandy devoted the rest of her life to advocating for not only him but others with special needs. In 2005, her daughter, Anastacia was born. Though Sandy was employed at various places in Sullivan, Missouri, her passion was caregiving to others. She was involved with Home Health Care the past twelve years. Sandy and Jason met in 2010. They had plans to be married and to even purchase a home. Together they enjoyed date nights, watching movies and do-it-yourself projects. Sandy loved trees and plants, animals and reading. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by the love of her life, Jason Barton; ,son, Shawn Ard and daughter, Anastacia Abling both of Bourbon, Missouri; parents, Chester Ard and wife Victoria of McKenzie, Tennessee and Sharon Inglish of Stover, Missouri; three sisters, Shari Chapman and husband Dan of Gray Summit, Missouri, Kelly Ford and husband David of Fenton, Missouri and Bethany Gray of Florida; four nephews, Justin Ard and wife Danielle of Union, Missouri, Nicholas Chapman of Gray Summit, Missouri and James and Wolfe Gray of Florida; four nieces, Amanda and Kirsten Chapman both of Gray Summit, Missouri and Rosemary and Kaitlyn Ford, both of Rolla, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Services were conducted at noon on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri. Per Sandy's wishes, cremation took place following the service. Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri Edna Cason Edna Cason of Cuba, Missouri was born in Asheville, North Carolina to AB and Florence Ensley and passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the age of 92 years. As a young girl she enjoyed the Smokey Mountains. Once Edna graduated high school she began working as a switchboard operator for Western Union. She got married and started a family, which b rought her to Missouri. Edna's career consisted of switchboard operator supervisor for Shriner's Hospital and St. John's Hospital. In 1971 she relocated to Cuba, Missouri. Once settled she ran two businesses: one being a real estate company and the other a western store in Sullivan, Missouri. Then a third business came along as many will remember, The Ozark Playgrounds. Later she began working for the State of Missouri taking pictures for the Driver's License Division. Edna traveled several surrounding counties. From that she began working full-time at Cason & Leathers Real Estate Co. and did so until age of 90. She was a member and held an office for many years with the Cuba VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Cuba, Missouri. Edna loved music, dancing, fishing, camping and the yard sales with her sisters-in-law (those three ladies never missed many yard sales). Edna was very active, loved to stay busy with volunteering, enjoying many friends and all her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren always kept a smile on her face. She was preceded in death by her parents, AB and Florence Ensley; and daughter Doris Lee Cason. She is survived by four children, Don Cason and daughter-in-law Debbie of Wildwood Missouri, Reia Hogan and son-in-law Dan of Fenton, Missouri, Alex Cason of St. James, Missouri, Cindy Leathers and son-in-law Mark of Cuba, Missouri; grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. As requested, Edna was cremated and will be placed with her daughter, Doris Lee Cason. A Celebration of Life was held Saturday, July 16, 2016 hosted by the Cuba VFW Ladies Auxiliary with family and friends attending. James "Keith" Peterman James "Keith" Peterman was born June 11, 1960 and passed away on July 26, 2016. Keith was united in marriage on May 3, 1986, at Jerome, to Katy Peterman (Brinkley). Keith was affectionately known as "Lumner", a nickname given to him by his in-laws, Kenny Joe and Reba Brinkley, and went by Keith to friends and colleagues. Keith worked for 21 years at the Cantex pipe factory from 1988 until its closing in 2009. He worked as a loader for the Ozark's Coca-Cola Bottling Company and later as a delivery driver for Butler Supply of Rolla until his cancer confined him to a wheelchair. He also enjoyed his second career as a freelance drywall contractor, which he could be found doing on his off days and weekends. When not working or at home, one could always find Keith in the outdoors. Whether hunting, scouting, or hiking in the woods or in his boat on the Gasconade River or at the Lake of the Ozark's fishing for his favorite quarry, largemouth bass and suckers. He was particularly fond of turkey hunting. He killed his last gobbler in April of 2016, the last of many, many that he bagged over the years. He also enjoyed deer and squirrel hunting and always dreamed of hunting elk in the Colorado mountains. He passed this love of the outdoors to his sons and hunted with friends and family, often skunking them in the process. He was preceded in death by his father, Jim Peterman; and brother-in-law, David Alexander. Richardson Sr. and Mary Lee Collier Richardson and He passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 15 days. He married Cherri Slaughter on February 14, 1987 in St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were born. He had worked at Unidymanics painting parts of military ships before retirement. He accepted the Lord early in life. He was a member of the Ozark Trail Blazers and enjoyed raising and trading horses. He liked deer hunting, fishing and attending car shows. He was an accomplished bass guitar player and singer earning the Horizon Award for Male Vocalist of the year. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest E. Cecil Wayne Stites Cecil Wayne Stites of Steelville, Missouri was born on Saturday, June 8, 1935 in Keysville, Missouri to Winifred and Dovie Marcella (Oxendine) Stites and passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 16 days. Early in his life, Cecil worked for Branson and Earl Roberts families milking cows before school. He married Elsie Turner on November 4, 1961 at Rev. Jerry Wall's home in Steelville, Missouri, and to this union four children were born. He worked for Brown Shoe Company, then later he worked as a foreman with Sante Fe and Burlington Northern Railroad for 26 years until retirement. He married Pearl E. Earney on June 19, 1992 in Rolla, Missouri. After retirement, he worked as a caretaker for Woods Valley Farms for five years. He enjoyed coon hunting rescues, hunting, fishing, gigging, fish fries (especially hush puppies), gardening and bowling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Winifred and Dovie Stites; infant son, Dale Wayne Stites; brother, Bill Stites; sister-in-law, Delores Stites; and nephews, Brian Stites and Michael Plank. Larry Edward Studdard Larry Edward Studdard of Owensville, Missouri was born on Saturday, January 18, 1947 in Sullivan, Missouri to Tracy H. and Violet Gargus Studdard and passed away on Monday, July 25, 2016 at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 7 days. Larry graduated from the Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, California and later served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He married Judy Pitts on May 3, 1975 in St. James, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born. He worked many years as a forklift operator at the Simmerly Sawmill in Bourbon, Missouri. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tracy and Violet Studdard; and nephews, Michael Studdard and Larry Hobbs. Weston III of Sullivan, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 77 years. Clyde was a hardworking man, having spent over 25 years with Sachs Electric, which he would retire from working as an electrical engineer. He designed for many projects throughout his career including the St. Louis Arch and the original Busch Stadium. During his career and into retirement he and Diana shared a love of their many different pets. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors and working on projects around his home. He had the humor of a seasoned comedian, the knowledge one could only wish for, and the desire to never stop trying. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cameron McColl; and brother-in-law, Ray Johnson. Faye Ann Wieda Faye Ann Wieda of Sullivan, Missouri was born January 30, 1960 at Washington, Missouri to Shirley Blankenship and Gordon Immekus and passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 20 days. She was a life-long resident of the Sullivan, Missouri area and graduated from Sullivan High School, Class of 1978. Faye later enrolled at Four-Rivers Vocational School and attained her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. Faye was employed at various long-term heath care facilities, which include, Meramec Nursing Center in Sullivan, Dunsford Court, Mary Mount Manor and Lutheran Senior Services. Faye loved quilting and embroidery work and was also a crafter. She had made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren and while ill, she made "milestone" crafts for her loved ones including letters and cards. Faye was a member of Saint Anthony Parish of Sullivan, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Al and Elsie Blankenship and George and Leona Immekus; and parents-in-law, Benjamin and Kathleen Wieda.
