Everett Raymond Breuer
Everett Raymond Breuer of Bland, Missouri was born on June 17, 1929 in
St. James, Missouri to Sherman Rhodes and Beatrice Evelyn (Seaton) Breuer
and passed away at the Frene Valley Health Care South in Owensville,
Missouri on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the age of 83 years, 1 month
and 11 days.
Everett Breuer was a lifelong farmer.
He is survived by his wife of the home, Ruth Ann Breuer of Bland,
Missouri; one daughter, Karen Barton of Fenton, Missouri; two step-sons,
Vernon and Darren Breuer; one brother, Hobert Lee Breuer and wife Betty
of St. James, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Military graveside services were conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday,
August 2, 2012 at the Oak Grove Cemetery with full military honors with
Russell Otis officiating.
Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home in St. James,
Missouri.
Emmett L. Frisbee
Emmett L. Frisbee was born to Tobe and Nancy Belle Frisbee on
March, 31, 1921 and passed away on July 30, 2012 at the age of 91 years.
He was the youngest of seven children, Clyde, Ollie, Bob, Bill, Glenn and
Clay.
He married the love of his life, Agnes Marie Rippert in 1943, a few months
before he shipped out to England where he became part of the World War II
D-Day invasion and the first wave at Omaha Beach. He earned a bronze star
for his actions on the beach, and also battle stars for his continuing
efforts at the Battle of the Bulge.
Emmett became one of the first employees of the St. Louis County Park
Department in 1949.
He and Agnes raised their family in Jefferson Barracks Park from 1951 to
1972, when they moved to Suson Park. He retired as Regional Supervisor after
30 years of managing development of St. Louis Co. Parks.
Emmett and Agnes moved to Lecoma, Missouri and later to St. James, Missouri.
Agnes lost her battle with MS in 2000. Emmett provided loving care for
Agnes for a very long time. Emmett moved back to Jefferson Barracks in 2005.
He was honored for his pioneering and lengthy service by St. Louis County
Parks with a recreation/picnic shelter - which today stands at Bee Tree
Park in South St. Louis County.
Emmett was recognized by the Missouri State House of Representatives in
April, 2002 as an Outstanding Missourian.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes; and son, 1st Lieutenant
Thomas G. Frisbee, who died in 1972 while serving in the United States
Air Force.
He is survived by his children, Jerry and Earline, Richard and Diane
Frisbee, Nancy and Bill Thomas, Dan and Jackie Frisbee, Stan and Patty
Frisbee, Tim and Joan Frisbee; grandchildren, Karen, Eric, Dirk, Paul,
Erin, Jim, John, Jenny, Steven, Tobe, Katie and Jessica, 14 great grand-
children; brother, Clay Frisbee; sister-in-law, Mary Talkington; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at
Ziegenhein and Sons in St. Louis, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at Ziegenhein and Sons in St. Louis, Missouri
on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 10:15 a.m.
Interment with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National
Cemetery.
Doras W. Jennings
Doras W. Jennings, nee Markley, of Rural Oak Hill, Missouri was born on
July 31, 1924, the youngest of six children at Cuba, Missouri, to
William F. and Zora Chewning Markley and passed away Saturday, August 4, 2012
at Cuba Manor Nursing Home in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 88 years and
4 days.
The family lived at several homes in the Cuba area and during the depression
moved to St. Louis, Missouri. Doras received most of her education in
St. Louis and graduated from Southwest High School at the age of 16 years.
She went to work at International Shoe Company then later during WWII for
the US Government Record Center.
She was united in marriage to Edward L. Jennings in May of 1947.
She became a wife, mother and bookkeeper for their roofing and siding
business in St. Louis County. Later they retired and moved to their farm in
Oak Hill and enjoyed over 60 years together.
Doras was a member of the Trinity Chapel. She loved her dogs and enjoyed
fishing on the Meramec River. Most of all she loved spending time with her
family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Zora Markley; her
husband, Ed; three brothers, Cecil, Dallas and Charles Markley;
brother-in-law, Sodo Moschetto; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Mike Jennings and wife Julie of Cuba, Missouri
and John L. Jennings and wife Debbie of Union, Missouri; one daughter,
Shelly of Sullivan, Missouri; five grandchildren, Roy, Crystal and Jessica
Jennings of Union, Missouri and Karen Timmons and husband Ted and Brian
Jennings, all of Cuba, Missouri; one great granddaughter, Haley Timmons;
two sisters, Mildred Moschetto and Ada Maxfield of Cuba, Missouri; one
sister-in-law, Maude Chapman of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; other relatives
and friends.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Mizell
Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Burial was immediately following at the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba,
Missouri.
Margaret Ann Poling
Margaret Ann Poling nee Stinson of Hazelwood, Missouri formerly of
Steelville, Missouri was born on June 1, 1938 and passed away on Tuesday,
July 24, 2012 at the age of 74 years.
Margaret lived with her husband Kenneth Poling in the Steelville area from
about 1985 until Kenneth’s passing in 2005. She relocated to Hazelwood,
Missouri and lived there, where she was cared for in her final days by her
three daughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee and Vera Stinson;
husband, Kenneth Poling; sons, Michael and Dennis Murphy and brother,
Jack Stinson.
She is survived by her children, Steve Murphy, Dorothy Foley, Janet Murphy,
Nancy Tolan and Brian Murphy; brothers, James and Lee Stinson; eight
grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service took place at 1 p.m. on Saturday,
August 4, 2012 at Berryman Cemetery, Berryman, Missouri.
Local arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home,
Steelville, Missouri.
Patricia Ann Sanders
Patricia Ann Sanders of Steelville, Missouri formerly of Sullivan, Missouri,
was born at Sullivan, Missouri on October 14, 1954 to Bill Witt and Mabel
Hamm and passed away at Missouri Baptist Hospital, Des Peres, Missouri on
Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the age of 57 years.
Patt, as she was known by her family and friends lived the early part of her
life in Sullivan and was a graduated of Sullivan High School. She went on
to become self-employed as a hair stylist and attracted a large following
of satisfied customers.
On October 24, 1992 she was united in marriage to James Sanders and they
then made their home in the Steelville area.
Patt continued her business in Sullivan and retired after 37 years due to
ill health. She was a member of Huzzah Baptist Church and would often
play
the piano during services. She greatly enjoyed music and playing the
piano.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Jost.
She is survived by her husband Jim of the family home; two step daughters,
Heather Lucas and husband Kurt of Sullivan, Missouri and Alicia Poebla
and husband Daxell of Sullivan, Missouri; six grandchildren, Jacob Poebla,
Jacob Dace, Taylor Lucas, Aley Lucas, Cole Sanders and Kaleb Lucas; a great
grandson who is to be born in the very near future; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Eaton
Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted 10 a.m., Saturday, August 4, 2012 from
Temple Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Leonard Moreland
officiating.
Interment was in Sanders Cemetery, Steelville, Missouri.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan,
Missouri.
Anna “Ann” Lucille Moore Shockley
Anna “Ann” Lucille Moore Shockley of Cuba, Missouri was born to Perley F.
and Olive L. (Randall) Randolph on May 27, 1915 in St. Joseph, Missouri
and passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Cuba Manor at the age of
97 years.
Ann was united in marriage to Clarence C. Moore on November 24, 1936 and
after his death she married Bill Shockley on July 27, 1974.
Ann was the owner/operator of the Donut Hole in Cuba for several years.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Cuba. She enjoyed
cooking, baking and word search puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perley and Olive Randolph; two
husbands, Clarence C. Moore and Bill Shockley; infant son, Robert W. Moore;
two brothers, Mendell F. and Donald F. Randolph; three sisters, Violet
Blankenship, Thelma L. Hildebrandt and Betty Warnick; one grandson, Keith
Meyer.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy and husband Ray Meyer of Cuba,
Missouri; three step children, Jim and wife Betsy Shockley of Cuba,
Missouri, Rose Jane Pasch of Cuba, Missouri and Ruth and husband John
McQuade of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren, Robyn and husband
Duane Beavers of Oak Harbor, Washington, Patricia Harris, James Meyer,
Michael and wife (Bobbi Jo) Meyer, all of Cuba, Missouri; seven great
grandchildren; six step grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; three
step great great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the
Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Knight, officiating.
Interment followed at the Meramec Hills Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba,
Missouri.
