What she truly loved most in life was The Lord and spending time with family. He was a member of the Earl Rutz Sr. Memorial Gun & Sports Club in Cuba, Missouri for 15 years serving as president four different times. He was also an Auxiliary Member at VFW Post 7147 in Cuba for approximately four years. Robie enjoyed fishing, autobody repair and mechanics. He took flying lessons and was only a few hours short of earning his first solo flight. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ellen Day; and one sister, Brenda McTague. Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force from March 1952 till March 1962. He served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Good Conduct Medal with two Loops and the Air Force Longevity Service Award with 1 Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. Rich left the United States Air Force as a SSGT. Richard married Sadie M. Garcia. After the service, Rich went to work for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) and he retired after nearly 30 years of dedicated service in 1995. Rich was the Supply Support Specialist, Fighters Aircraft Division. He got to travel to Malaysia, Morocco and California where he met the Blue Angels while working for McDonnell Douglas. After Rich and Sadie moved to Cuba, Missouri he went to work at MaceÕs Grocery Store. Rich enjoyed working on the ads and in the liquor department for the store. He spent his life working, but he did enjoy playing poker, softball, racquetball and barbequing ribs. Rich was a lifetime fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Birdie Greathouse; wife, Sadie Greathouse; three brothers, Roy, Charles and Howard Greathouse; brother-in-law, Sonny Garcia; and sister-in-law, Fannie. Charles proudly served in the United States Army from 13 May 1955 till 10 May 1957. After the service, Charles went to work for General Motors and he retired from there after many years of dedicated service. Charles enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid animal lover. He fed all the strays and his dogs became his four-legged children. Charles was raised Pentecostal and in his later years of life treasured his religion greatly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Viola Kelly; one son, Johnny Kelley; one daughter, Debra Harris; three brothers, Albert Kelley, Donald Kelley and Larry Kelley; and three sisters, Bernice Reeves, Pearley McClain and Joan George. Lucas on June 9, 1955 in Farmington, Missouri. They resided in Farmington for a brief time before coming to Sullivan, Missouri. Pat worked as a clerk for various stores in Sullivan and retired from Wal-Mart in 1998. She was an avid reader, loved music (especially singing and playing piano), gardening and antiquing. Colten attended Crawford County R-2 schools in Cuba, Missouri, where he would have been a freshman this year and playing football on the JV team. Colten loved to play video games, watching You-Tube videos and comedy. Vitali of Town and Country, Missouri, formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born Sunday, September 27, 1931 at Fanning, Missouri to Sam and Mary (nee Baccialli) Vitali and passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the age of 86 years. Jim married Peggy J. Bridgewater on Saturday, November 3, 1951 at Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba, Missouri. Jim proudly served in the United State Army from July 3, 1952 until April 2, 1954. He earned the Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. After returning home from the Army, Jim went to work for Echo Supply as a machinist. He retired from Echo Supply after nearly 30 years of dedicated service. Jim was a devout member of Holy Cross Catholic Church his entire life. He was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and member of the American Legion Post. Jim spent his life playing the accordion. He had been a member of the Country Squires Band and the Cuban ComboÕs Band as the drummer. Music was a very important part of JimÕs life. He spent years dressing up as a clown for church events and other children events. Jim treasured the times he could make people laugh, especially children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Mary Vitali; his wife of 65 years, Peggy Vitali; one sister, Louise and husband Willard Campbell; and one sister-in-law, Judy Bruns.
