Margie Laurie Adams
Margie “Laurie” Adams of Rolla, Missouri, formerly of St. James, Missouri
was born on July 8, 1948 in Waynesville, Missouri to Arthur A. Gray and
Marjorie J. (McGath) Gray and passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the
age of 62 years.
She is survived by one son, Matthew Wick and wife Shannon of Rolla,
Missouri; mother, Marjorie Gray of St. James, Missouri; three brothers,
Duane Gray and wife Debbie, Steve Gray and wife Linda and Mark Gray and
wife Roxana, all of St. James, Missouri; four grandchildren, Daniel, Evan,
James and Hunter; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the
First Assembly of God in St. James, Missouri with Pastor Mick Thrasher
officiating.

Glen Mitchell Briggs
Glen M. Briggs of Stanton, Missouri was born September 16, 1916 at Cook
Station, Missouri to Joseph Henry and Della Sarah (nee Vaughn) Briggs and
passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Fenton, Missouri at the age of
93 years.
Glen was united in marriage to Mary M. Leonard on November 6, 1942.
He proudly served in the United States Army from April 1945 until June of
1946.
Glen retired in August of 1981 after 30 years of dedicated service as a
Railroad Crossing Watchman for the Wabash Railroad, which became the Norfork
and Western Railroad. Glen and Mary moved to Stanton, Missouri 27 years ago
and became members of the First Baptist Church of Stanton were he served as
a Deacon for 25 years. He spent his retirement years helping with the church
and the members became part of his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Della Briggs; wife, Mary;
sons-in-law, James Piotraschke and Roy Williams; sisters, Pauline and
husband Wilbur Quinley and Gladys and husband Joe Roberts; brothers, Maurice
and wife Ethel Briggs and Norman and wife Bertha Briggs; other relatives and
friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Dorothy Piotraschke of St. Clair, Missouri
and Mary and husband Ed Black of Stanton, Missouri; five grandchildren,
James Roger Piotraschke, Jr. of St. Clair, Missouri, Michael Piotraschke of
St. Peters, Missouri, Lisa and husband Jacob Albers of Belleville, Illinois,
Timothy Williams and fiancé Jennifer of St. Louis, Missouri and Brian and
wife Amanda Black of Sullivan, Missouri; one great grandchild, Madison Black
of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at the First
Baptist Church of Stanton in Stanton, Missouri.
Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the First
Baptist Church of Stanton, Stanton, Missouri.
Interment and prayers were held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the
New Hope Cemetery, Salem, Missouri with full military honors.

Jessica Rae Brinker
Jessica Rae Brinker of St. James, Missouri was born to Mike and Marsha
(James) Brinker and passed away on August 5, 2010 at the age of 15 years,
1 month and 10 days.
Jessica, an honor student at John F. Hodge High School was always the first
to help others with their studies. She was active in the Red Regiment Color
Guard and Band, drama, Student Council, Teens Outreach Program, summer
preschool aide, choir, youth group, FTA and PSR.
Jessica had her own flair for style and everyone knew only she could pull
it off. She could make a room light up just by walking in. Family and
friends were so important to Jessica; she will be missed by her surviving
family and all of her friends in the St. James School District.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charlie James and Jerome
Brinker.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Marsha Brinker; three siblings,
Nicole (Brinker) Burke and husband John, Donald Brinker and fianeé Emily
Stevens, and Samantha Brinker; grandmothers, Wanda (Branstetter) James
and Norene (Tognoni) Brinker; nephew, Michael Burke; uncles, aunts,
cousins; other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass was held Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception
Catholic Church in St. James, Missouri with Father Charles Pardee
officiating.
Interment was in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.

Laura Marie Dildine
Laura Marie Dildine of Cook Station was born on Thursday, September 3, 1970
in Memphis, Tennessee to James A. and Patricia A. (Jackson) Dildine and
passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of
39 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Laura was a very kind, giving and caring person who always tried making
everyone happy. She enjoyed going to the river, being with family and
friends and was an avid football fan.
She was preceded in death by her father, James A. Dildine; other relatives
and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Patricia A. (Jackson) Dildine of Cook
Station, Missouri; eight brothers and sisters, Teresa and husband Paul Tesky
of Wheatfield, Indiana, James and wife Tammy Dildine of Cuba, Missouri,
Bobby and wife Diana Dildine of Steelville, Missouri, Delena and husband
Joseph Tucker of Steelville, Missouri, Anthony and wife Laura Dildine of
Cuba, Missouri, Richard and wife Melba Dildine of Haynes City, Florida,
Polly and husband Joseph Daniels of Winter Haven, Florida and Andrew Dildine
of Salem, Missouri; great aunt, Shirley Barnes of Cuba, Missouri; other

Marsha Alene Harrison
Marsha A. Harrison of Bourbon, Missouri was born Monday, June 9, 1952 at
St. Louis, Missouri to Willie and Wilma (nee Ice) Trammell and passed
away Monday, August 2, 2010 in Bourbon, Missouri at the age of 58 years,
1 month and 23 days.
Marsha was united in marriage to John Harrison March 22, 1967 in Georgia
and to this union three children were born.
Marsha spent her life taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking,
sewing clothes for her daughter and granddaughter, quilting, crocheting,
making ceramics and she always had a back yard that looked like a tropical
forest with all of its beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Trammell; daughter,
Susan; brother, Larel Gene Trammell; mother-in-law, Lula Adair;
brothers-in-law, Kenneth Harrison and Billy Ray Harrison; sister-in-law,
Margaret Highfill; other relatives and friends
She is survived by her husband, John Harrison of the home; two children,
Lisa Weaver and David Harrison of Bourbon, Missouri; two grandchildren,
Amanda Weaver and fiancé Jared Crocker of DeSoto, Missouri and Alex Weaver
of Bourbon, Missouri; one great grandchild, Jordyn Crocker of DeSoto,
Missouri; three brothers, Ed “Butch” Trammell and Kenny and wife Dorothy

“Sissy’s Song,” “Go Rest High on that Mountain” and “Amazing Grace.”
Interment and prayers will follow at the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon,
Missouri.

Fairylea A. Manion
Fairylea A. Manion of New Haven, Missouri, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri,
was born at Denver, Colorado on September 28, 1949 to William and Freida
(Delcour) Reeves and passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the age of
60 years.
As a youngster, she moved to Missouri and later, the Sullivan area. She
worked at the former Industrial Wire Company in Sullivan and then as an
assembly worker at Harman International in Washington, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Freida Reeves; son,
Mickey Manion; brother, Ralph Reeves and a sister, Janet Largent.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hinson and husband Rick of Bourbon,
Missouri; four sisters, Karen Pohlman of Sullivan, Sharon Thurmond of
Stanton, Missouri, Lois Tice of Strafford, Missouri and Sheryl Hulsey of
Sullivan; two grandchildren, Christopher James Manion and Kihly Harmon;
one great grandchild, Mackenzie Manion; other relatives and friends.
Cremation services where provided under the care of the Eaton Funeral Home,
Sullivan, Missouri. No services are scheduled.

Edith Marie Markley
Edith Marie Markley of Cuba, Missouri was born to George and Hattie (Carr)
Treece on Sunday, May 4, 1913 in Cuba, Missouri and passed away Monday,
August 2, 2010 in Cuba, Missouri at the age of 97 years, 2 months and
29 days.
Edith was a homemaker and enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo and babysitting
her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Hattie Treece; three
sisters, Hazel Weigle, Grace West and Gladys Everson; one brother, Charles
Treece; other relatives and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty and husband Norman DeLeo of Cuba,
Missouri; three grandchildren, Marisa and husband Dennis Roedemeier of Cuba,
Missouri, Mark and wife Cindy DeLeo of Jupiter, Florida, Matt and wife Amy
DeLeo of Sullivan, Missouri; 10 great grandchildren, 10 great great
grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 7, 2010 from 10 a.m. until time of
service at 11 a.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Father
James Finder and Norman DeLeo, officiating.
Interment followed at the Hamilton Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri.

Melissa D. “Missy” Schroyer
Melissa D. “Missy” Schroyer nee Laney of Cuba, Missouri was born on Monday,
November 18, 1974 in Jefferson City, Missouri to Bryan E. Laney and
Patricia Jean Laney and passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 in Cuba,
Missouri at the age of 35 years, 8 months and 17 days.
Missy was an excellent hairstylist for many years at Designing Women, 1st
Impressions and later at Xcentrix Salon. She also worked at Cuba Manor. She
most recently worked at Communications for Research, Inc. in Steelville,
Missouri. She loved spending time at the river, but most of all she loved
her sons.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Noel Laney and Lester B. Bell,
Sr.
She is survived by her father, Bryan Laney (Bernice Cain) of Cuba, Missouri;
mother, Patty Laney of Cuba, Missouri; sons, Garrett and Zachary Schroyer,
and Alex Nelson; grandmothers, Norma Jean Bell of Cuba, Missouri and Doris
Lindsay of Bowling Green, Missouri; brothers, Matthew (Tehra) Laney and
Cory Laney (Desiree Hamilton) all of Cuba, Missouri; companion, Tim Lehmuth
of Cuba, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Deshauna Smith, Lacey Patrick, Chase,
Tobias, and Baily Laney; special friends, Brenda (Greg) Lehmuth of Cuba,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.

Monday, August 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri
with Rev. Delmar Hutson officiating.

Stanley Owen Seidl
Stanley Owen Seidl of Steelville, Missouri was born July 18, 1948 in
St. Louis, Missouri to Frank Charles and Adele Edith (Asher) Seidl and
passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Phelps County Regional Center in
Rolla, Missouri at the age of 62 years.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 and was stationed
in Vietnam. He was rewarded a Purple Heart in November 1968.
Stanley worked for many years at Anheuser Busch Brewery in St. Louis,
retiring in 1999. He was a union member of the Beer Bottler’s #1187, a member
of the Steelville Country Club, a Lifetime member of the Arnold VFW #2593
and the National Street Rod Association. He was a collector of several Hot
Rods and enjoyed going to car shows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Adele Seidl and one
brother, Donald Seidl.
He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Seidl of Little River, South
Carolina; one son, Stanley O. Seidl II of Little River, South Carolina;
one brother, Richard Seidl and wife Xiayun Zeng of Steelville, Missouri;
two grandchildren, A1C Blaine J. Meeker, U.S. Air Force of Ozark, Missouri
and AB Tia M. Meeker, U.S. Air Force of Little River, South Carolina; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Alan Miles
officiating. Special music of “Chicken Fried,” “I Tell It Like It Used To Be”
and “Queen of Memphis” was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Barnicle Chapel Cemetery with
full military honors given by the U.S. Army and assistance by the Patriot
Guard.
Casket bearers were Carroll “Cas” Cassidy, Larry Johnston, Travis Ware,
Dave Cornick, Mark Harthill and Kevin Hawkins.

Willard Osburn Tayloe
Willard Osburn Tayloe of Owensville, Missouri was born in Oak Hill, Missouri
on June 9, 1922 to Roy and Della (Chapman) Tayloe and passed away on Friday,
August 6, 2010 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri at the age
of 88 years.
On July 16, 1943 he was united in marriage to Elsie Lindholm and she passed
away on July 13, 1945. He then married Flora Wehrend on June 23, 1951 at
St. John’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte, Missouri.
He served his country with the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 receiving a
Bronze Star for the Normandy Campaign, a Purple Heart and a good conduct
medal. He was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Charter Life
member of the VFW Post #6133, life member of D.A.V., member of the Rosebud
American Legion and the Owensville Lions Club, past president of the Odds
and Evens, former member of the Owensville Ambulance District and the
Owensville Chamber of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dllla Tayloe; two sons,
Ronald Tayloe and Ricky Tayloe; daughter, Debra Tayloe; brothers,
Junior O. Tayloe and one in infancy.
He is survived by his wife, Flora; son, Larry Tayloe and wife Joanie of
Winfield, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sally Tayloe of Valley Park, Missouri;
sisters-in-law, Esther Tayloe of Owensville, Missouri, Clara Wehrend of
Alhambra, Illinois and Bonnie Wehrend of Edwardsville, Illinois; five
grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, August 9, 2010 at St. Peter’s
United Church of Christ with Rev. Chris Ross officiating. Burial was in
the Owensville City Cemetery, Owensville, Missouri.

Owensville, Missouri.
Rev. Dr. Ronald C. Wagers
Rev. Dr. Ronald C. Wagers, PhD., of Sullivan, Missouri, was born at Union
Star, Missouri near St. Joseph, Missouri, on March 18, 1946 to Carl E. and
Martha L. (Rodgers) Wagers and passed away at his home on Monday,
August 2, 2010 at the age of 64 years.
On July 17, 1971 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Ann Mayfield at
Kansas City, Missouri and to this marriage four children were born.
Rev. Wagers’ passion was his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was ordained into the
ministry in December of 1983 with the Bible Way Association and later earned
his Masters Degree in Christian Counseling. He continued in his education
by receiving a Doctorate in Divinity in July of 2007 from Christian Bible
College and Seminary of Independence, Missouri.
He was responsible for the creation of Praise Temple in Peculiar, Missouri
and then transferred the church to Sullivan in 1985.
Rev. Wagers was preceded in death by his father, Carl E. Wagers.
He is survived by his wife, Liz of the family home; three daughters, Stacy
Pendergrass and husband Joseph of Columbia, Missouri, Kimberley Haffer and
husband Randy of Rolla, Missouri and Tammy Wagers of Cuba, Missouri; one
son, Troy James Wagers and wife Stacia of Affton, Missouri; his mother,
Martha Wagers of St. Joseph, Missouri; two brothers, Roger Wagers and wife
Donna of Stewartsville, Missouri and Randall J. Wagers and wife Marcia of
Savanna, Missouri; three grandchildren, Anna Pendergrass, Tori Haffer and
Carl Wagers; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2010 from the
Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 from
the Chapel of the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, Missouri with the
Rev. John Ferguson II officiating. Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery,
Bourbon, Missouri.

Missouri.
Betty Jean Ward
Betty Jean Ward of Steelville, Missouri was born May 15, 1930 to Tom and
Laura (Frazer) Partin in Frakes, Kentucky and passed away Wednesday,
August 4, 2010 at Cuba Manor, Cuba, Missouri at the age of 80 years.
On October 30, 1953, she was united in marriage to Alfred C. Ward and to
this union two children were born.
Betty enjoyed camping, fishing and cooking for her family. Throughout the
years, she was always there to listen and gave advice to her friends, her
son’s friends and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Laura Partin; two
brothers, Quinton Partin and Jerry Partin; five sisters, Edith Austin,
Thelma Sparks, Etta Mae Hickman, Teddy Hart and Lynnie Partin.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 56 years, Alfred; two sons, Alan
Ward and wife Melody of St. James, Missouri and Larry Ward and wife Tracy
of Robertsville, Missouri; six grandchildren, Miranda Ward, Kerissa Ward,
Shantel Ward, Eric Ward, Dawn Wilken and husband Adam and Matthew Ward;
five great grandchildren, Gavin, Sidnie, Alisha, Jordan and Kameron; other
relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Britton-
Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the
Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Bob Coleman
officiating. Special music of “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” “In Better Hands” and
“I’ll Fly Away” was played.
Committal prayer and burial were in the Liberty Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Larry Ward, Alan Ward, Bobby Austin, Stanley Austin,
Roger Austin and Randy Ward.
