On May 22, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri, she married Halic "Whitey" Chandler. Mary Belle loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals on TV, working in her yard and her flower garden. She was always known for having an immaculate home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Myrtle Turnbough; her husband, "Whitey" Chandler; one son, Lennie Chandler; four brothers, Cleatis Worley, Clifton Worley, Joe Worley and Homer Worley; and two sisters, Argie Worley and Rose Hammonds and husband Norman. Other music of "I'll Fly Away" was sung by great great granddaughter, Jacquelynn Fribis and Trisha Fribis on ukulele. Tina Louise Cooper Tina Louise Cooper of Bourbon, Missouri was born February 16, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri to James and Judy (Uriwal) Zimmermann and passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the age of 50 years. Over the years, Tina loved to care for the elderly. For many years she worked as a cook in area nursing homes. Tina was also an outdoor girl. As a young girl she began to work with her dad in his landscaping business. She enjoyed the river, car racing and hot rods and rock 'n' roll music. Tina had many fond memories of time spent living in Alabama as well. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; and her father, James Zimmermann. Trystan Louis Blaine Harrelson Infant Trystan Louis Blaine Harrelson was born and passed away on Friday, August 12, 2016. His parents are Andrea Harrelson and Jorden Backes. Trystan did not get to know his family who had already come to love him and are now grieving the child they have lost. Krone of Sullivan, Missouri was born September 6, 1939 in Vienna, Missouri to Leonard and Ruby (Franklin) Krone and passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at the age of 76 years. Walter's family moved to Belle, Missouri as a child where he attended school and later married Lorene L. Nilges on August, 5, 1959. They moved to the Sullivan, Missouri area in the 60's where they raised their three children and resided ever since. His was a tram operator with the Pea Ridge Mines where he worked for 27 years. Walter touched the lives of everyone whom he came into contact with. Even the aides that took care of him said he reminded them of their grandpa or dad. He was a true example of how God uses trials to build our strength and develop our relationship with him. He was a funny man who loved to laugh and joke with his family. It would be rare to walk in the room and not see "Family Feud" on his television. Walter also loved his westerns, Cardinals games, and being read to from the Bible. He loved playing Bingo and could have spent every day with a fishing pole in his hand. He loved his guitar, country music and never liked to pass an opportunity to join in on "karaoke" with some Johnny Cash and George Jones. He loved old cars, especially his son Mike's Camaro. Walter could watch out the window for hours at his hummingbirds. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Krone; and great granddaughter, Miah Love. John Howard Murphy Jr. John Howard Murphy Jr. of Steelville, Missouri was born Monday, January 31, 1944 at home in Cuba, Missouri to John Sr. and Katherine M. (Fudge) Murphy and passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 11 days. John worked at Mace's Supermarket earlier in life, and later at Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, Missouri where he was a foreman. After Brown Shoe closed, he worked at Phillips 66 in Cuba, Missouri as a mechanic, then Georgia Pacific until he became ill and retired. John loved to buy and fix up older trucks. He loved to play softball and bowl when he was younger, but his true passion was golf. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Katherine Murphy; sister, Bonnie J. Myers; and granddaughter, Rebecca Murphy. He is survived by his daughters, Christina L. Murphy of Tallahassee, Florida and Elizabeth M. John "Gene" Richards Jr. John "Gene" Richards Jr. of Sullivan, Missouri, formerly of St. Clair, Missouri, was born March 18, 1922 at Bourbon, Missouri was born to John Edward Sr. and Anna May Richards (McClain) and passed away Friday, July 29, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Gene grew up and attended school in the area and was a lifelong resident. He started work at former McDonnell-Douglas Corp., now Boeing, and spent 24 years as a cockpit inspector. Gene married Margot Reichenberg on December 23, 1944 in Granite City, Illinois. Together they shared nearly 72 years with each other and enjoyed many memories, including entertaining others. They resided in St. Clair, Missouri for nearly 49 years before moving to Sullivan, Missouri in 2007. Gene was a musician, he especially loved to play bass guitar and especially specialized in singing "Cattle Call." He also loved fishing, hunting, and trapping over the years. He was preceded in death his parents, John Sr. and Anna Richards; three brothers, Jesse, Benny and Jason; and four sisters, Alice, Dorothy, Betty and Florence. Sharon Ann Smith Sharon Ann Smith of Fenton, Missouri, formerly of Sullivan, Missouri was born January 21, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harold Wayne and Ella Crocker Smith and passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 61 years, 6 months and 17 days. Sharon was united in marriage in 1973 to Larry Ray Smith and to this union two children were born. Sharon worked for several years at McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis, Missouri. She always enjoyed planting flowers, gardening and her dog "Matt." She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ella Smith; two brothers, Wayne and Bobby Smith; and one sister, Linda Mindova. Lucille Scherill Stammers Lucille Scherill Stammers was born on February 17, 1932 near White City, Kansas to William Oscar and Clara Mabel (Freeman) Pearson and passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Scherill, as she was known to all who knew and loved her, married Jonathan Stammers on January 18, 1953 and to this union five children were born. Family came foremost in Scherill's life and she could often be found in the bleachers, at football, basketball or baseball games or watching grandchildren perform whenever she was able. The Stammers family moved to St. James, Missouri in 1968 and quickly made it their adopted hometown. The Stammers home, just one block from the football field, was the gathering place of friends of their five children. The "open door" policy meant that John and Scherill always had a houseful of kids. Scherill told a story where she came home for lunch one summer day and there were three or four kids with their heads in her refrigerator, but none of them belonged to her. She was a bookkeeper working for local businesses including St. James R-I School District, Verkamp Lumber and Delano Oil. She was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church serving as the Sunday School records keeper for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Clara Pearson; and four siblings, Lauretta Bax, Ralph Pearson, Myra Smith and Fay Matthews. She is survived by husband of 63 years, John Stammers; children, Jan (Ken) Burch, Joe (Diane) Stammers, Jil (Carl) Behr, all of St. James, Missouri, Jon (Jennifer) Stammers of Atchison, Kansas, and Jay (Tove) Stammers of Uppsala, Sweden; grandchildren, Katie (Derek) Shultz, Anne (Cory) Freand, Jessica and Jordan Stammers, Stephanie Stammers and Wes (Becca) Stammers, Megan (Kevin) Hedges and Aarika Behr, Emily and Alice Stammers; five great grandchildren, Quinn and Brett Shultz, Asher and Gunnar Freand and Marshall Stammers; one sister Velora Goss of Emporia, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Joan Barrett of Salina, Kansas; other relatives and friends. Benjamin Hoyt Sullivan Benjamin Hoyt Sullivan of St. James, Missouri was born in Rolla, Missouri on March 14, 1984 to Richard and Cindy Sullivan and passed away July 26, 2016 at the age of 32 years. Benjamin graduated from John F. Hodge High School class of 2002. He excelled at football and played four years as an offensive tackle for the St. James Tigers, which led him to a full scholarship to play for the Blue Tigers at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri, where he would major in Business Administration. As the years went on Benjamin would find more and more to be proud of in his life, the most important and fulfilling would be the birth of baby daughter, Paislee Renee who was the light of his existence. He was the most amazing daddy to Paislee Renee, and a wonderful uncle to his only niece Haylee Lynn. Ben was always a big kid at heart, and was the type of guy if you needed him he would do anything in the world for you. Benjamin enjoyed the outdoors, building and making things, looking for treasures like arrowheads and artifacts, caving and fishing. He had a special gift where he could be walking along, and just like that, spot a four leaf clover. He is survived by his daughter, Paislee Renee Sullivan of Steelville, Missouri; parents, Richard and Cindy Sullivan of St. James, Missouri; sister Rebecca Pellegrin and husband Matt of St. James, Missouri; grandmother, June Pender of St. James, Missouri; niece Haylee Lynn Pellegrin; other relatives and friends. Rosemary Walker Rosemary Walker of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Licking, Missouri and passed away Friday, August 5, 2016 at the age of 65 years, 5 months and 2 days. She was raised in Sullivan, Missouri and attended school in Sullivan and eventually worked at the former Frasier Shoe Company at Union, Missouri and then at LifeCare Health in Sullivan, Missouri as a cook. On July 6, 1968 she was united in marriage to Virgil Walker at Stanton, Missouri. Her life was her grandchildren. Rosemary also enjoyed cooking and trying all kinds of recipes. She was fond of going to yard sales and enjoyed sketching and drawing. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dianna Hammrick and Linda Sue McCallister.
