Ernest Davidson Jr.
Ernest "Ernie" Davidson, Jr. of Steelville, Missouri
was born on Thursday, February 21, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia to
Ernest Davidson, Sr. and Thelma Allen Davidson. He passed away in
Steelville, Missouri on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at the age of 77
years, 6 months and 3 days.
Ernie had been employed at Steelville Public Schools as
custodian for several years. He was a member of the Steelville VFW
Post 345. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outdoors and on cars.
He also loved sports and most of all his family.
Those who preceded him in death were his parents; two
sons, Ronald Davidson and Reginald Davidson.
He was survived by his children, Miguel Wallace of St.
Louis, Missouri, Nicole Jones of Houston, Texas, Markita Wallace of
St. Louis, Missouri and Cassandra Dennis of Rome, Georgia; four
grandchildren; brothers, Joe Davidson (Joann) of San Bernardino,
California and Henry Davidson (Ann) of Rome, Georgia and sister,
Joyce Reynolds (Albert) of Rome, Georgia; brothers-in-law, Charlie
Franklin of Atlanta, Georgia and Deri Shipmon of Atlanta Georgia;
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial service was Sunday, August 27, 2006 at 2 p.m.
at the Hutson Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry
Beers officiating.
All arrangements were under the direction of the Hutson
Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Thomas Jefferson Hamilton
Thomas Jefferson Hamilton of Cuba, Missouri was born
August 15, 1923 at St. Louis, Missouri to the union of Thomas J.
Hamilton and Mary (nee Beyer) Hamilton and left from this life on
Sunday, August 27, 2006 at the age of 83 years and 12 days.
He was united in marriage to Patricia Dausch on August
7, 1948 at St. Louis, Missouri and to this union two children were
born: Kevin and Michelle.
Thomas worked as a machinist in the St. Louis area for
many years before he retired. Tom was a handyman; he could fix and
repair almost anything. In his free time he enjoyed hunting,
fishing, making fishing lures, painting pictures of the outdoors and
gardening. He once made a saddle for Roy Rogers. He enjoyed reading
a good book, his bible, watching the Discovery Channel, History
Channel and Christian Channel on TV. The most important things in
Tom's life was his family.
He was a loving son, husband, companion, father,
grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many
and he will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved him.
Those who preceded Tom in death is his parents, Thomas
and Mary Hamilton; his wife, Patricia A. Hamilton; his uncle, Pat
Enloe and a host of other relatives and friends.
Those who are left to mourn his passing is his companion
of 14 years, Goldie F. Gibson of Cuba, Missouri; his son, Kevin T.
and wife June Hamilton of Plato, Missouri; daughter, Michelle T.
Willis of Campbell, Texas; one brother, Kenneth and wife Joan
Hamilton, four grandchildren; Sunshine and husband Mark Schoonhoven,
Shawn M. Perry, Theresa R. and husband Eric McArthur and Miranda R.
and husband Adam Hahn; six great grandchildren, Sheeshta M. Perry,
Anjelika M. Schoonhoven, Shauna A. Bradshaw, Elizabeth R. Reid,
Mason R. McArthur and Gabriel Hahn and many other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held Wednesday, August 30, 2006 from 4 to
8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was
11 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2006 at Britton Funeral Home, Cuba,
Missouri with Brother Larry Buettner officiating. Inurnment private
at Valhalla Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
The family is being served by Britton Funeral Home,
Cuba, Missouri.
George Robert Weber
George Robert Weber, age 73, of Gray Summit, Missouri
formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Saturday afternoon
August 19, 2006 at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
He was born Tuesday, January 24, 1933 in Crawford
County, Missouri, the son of John Owen Weber and Velma Pearl Harmon
Weber. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Lucille Adams on
December 15, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri.
George had worked for McDonald Douglas for over 35
years, retiring in 1996. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting
and gardening. He was a member of the Gray Summit United Methodist
Church and the Gray Summit Masonic Lodge. He was kind and generous,
always willing to help others. He will be sadly missed by all who
loved him.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Weber Jr.;
one sister, Wilma Nabe; three brothers-in-law, Richard Nabe, Glenn
Comfort and Louis Comfort; and three sisters-in-law, Loretta Weber,
Neola McKay and Neleta Mahony.
Those who are left to mourn his passing are his wife,
Dorothy, of the home in Gray Summit, Missouri; two daughters,
Cynthia Jackson and husband Steven of Gray Summit, Missouri and
Julie Murray and husband Charles "Chuck" of Martinsville, Indiana;
five grandchildren, Christopher Jackson and wife Michelle of St.
Louis, Missouri, Heather Pipes and husband Jeffery of Union,
Missouri, Benjamin, Hope and Rachel Murray of Martinsville, Indiana.
Three great grandchildren, April and Dallas Jackson of
St. Clair, Missouri and Jace Pipes of Union, Missouri; one brother,
William "Bill" Weber and wife Linda of Camdenton, Missouri; four
sisters, Lavern McPeters and husband Paul of Steelville, Missouri,
Faye Wright and husband Edwin of Rogersville, Missouri, Bonnie
Garrison and husband Clarence of Steelville, Missouri, Wanda Sue
Asplin and husband Richard of Aurora, Missouri.
Two brothers-in-law, George Adams and wife Sharon of
Columbia, Missouri and Henry Adams of Steelville, Missouri; six
sisters-in-law, Edith Weber of Grain Valley, Missouri, Pauline Adams
of Steelville, Missouri, Anna Marie Horn and husband Bob of Albany,
New York, Ava Comfort of Columbia, Missouri, Opal Comfort of
O'Fallon, Missouri and Betty Ferrell and husband Lewis of Viburnum,
Missouri; nieces, nephews and many relatives and family friends.
Funeral services for George Weber were held Wednesday,
August 23, 2006 in the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville,
Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "How
Beautiful Heaven Must Be" was sung by Jerry Beers, Bobby and Diane
Weber.
Serving as casket bearers were Jeff Pipes, Benjamin
Murray, Chris Jackson, Billy Weber, David Garrison and Dennis
McPeters with committal prayers and burial in the Pleasant Point
Cemetery in Steelville, Missouri.
The family was cared for by the Britton-Bennett Funeral
Home in Steelville, Missouri.
