Doris always fixed breakfast for Lloyd when he was working, and packed him a lunch for the day. She helped him in the fields, mowing, disking and brush hogging. They grew a garden together and she would freeze and can their harvest. She was known to be the fastest green bean picker ever. But even in these jobs, she was always neat, her hair was done, she had her earrings in, lipstick on, and her nails always polished. Each evening if the nails needed fixed, she would sit in front of the vanity and apply new polish. Another favorite memory was when Lloyd came in from the fields, he would always go to Doris and hug and kiss her. Doris shared her faith in the Lord with everyone, she gave Him all the glory in all she had, and all she did.
