She was united in marriage August 20, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Marvin Eugene Andrews. Doris worked for Monsanto over 30 years and retired at that time. She and her husband loved to travel and she participated in bowling leagues in St. Louis, Missouri. She also enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Freida Setzer; her brother, Charles Setzer; and her sister Alvina Penny and husband Bud. She is survived by her brother, Ray Setzer and wife Melba of Portland, Oregon; other relatives and friends. Jessie Booker Jessie Booker of Cook Station, Missouri was born on Monday, October 24, 1921 in Success, Missouri to A.Z. "Zeb" and Dora Sliger and passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the age of 92 years and 10 months. Jessie went to school in Licking, Missouri then left for a couple of years to work and help support her family before returning to high school and getting her diploma. She then went to college and acquired a teaching certificate. She taught in a one-room school at Dunn School, in Success, Missouri. She was a member of Wesco Baptist Church. She also attended Winkler Baptist Church and Caanan Community Church in Cook Station. Jessie married Fred S. Booker on February 14, 1943 in Licking, Missouri and to this union 10 children were born. On their 71st anniversary, February 14, 2014, Jessie and Fred were crowned Queen and King of Hearts at the Gibbs Care Center Valentine Banquet. Jessie enjoyed gardening, canning and Sewing. She was an enthusiastic bleacher referee at school sports events and loved attending kids ballgames! She was a 4-H project leader for Country Boys and Girls in Cook Station. She worked at Rawlings Manufacturing in Licking, Missouri and in that position made baseballs. Barbara Jeanne Askins Copeland Barbara Jeanne Askins Copeland of Nevada, Missouri was born March 12, 1934 in Cuba, Missouri to Mary and Frank Askins and passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 at the age of 80 years. She spent her childhood in Cuba, Missouri where her mother owned and operated B & M Cafˇ. Barbara married John Charles Copeland on July 26, 1954. Barbara and John resided in St. James, Missouri where they farmed and raised three children. Barbara was an avid fisherman who spent many hours at ponds and lakes near her farm in St. James, Missouri. She was a bridge player her entire adult life, most recently enjoying weekly bridge games with Nevada friends. The St. Louis Cardinals held a special place in her heart, wardrobe and calendar. She was known to adamantly coach them from her recliner. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nevada, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; and sister, Donna Avery. Maudine Catherine Hutson Maudine Catherine Hutson of Bourbon, Missouri, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, was born in East Prairie, Missouri on October 27, 1943 to Walter and Julia "Inez" Morgan (nee Newman) and passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 27 days. Known to all as Cathy, she was united in marriage to Robert Ray Hutson on June 10, 1961 and three children were born. Cathy was a Protestant Christian, believing in the Lord as her Savior. During her working career she was employed by Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri as a security officer, retiring after 20 years of service. Cathy had a variety of interests throughout her life including going out to eat and playing cards with her family. She was an avid reader who loved to work crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her many friends. She a very devoted mother and often worried about others as well and soon earned the nickname of "Mother Hen." She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Julia Morgan; three brothers, Virgil, Edmond and Gerald Morgan; and one sister, Norma Jean Gilley. Willie was a US Army veteran of The Korean War. He was in the roofing business as a hot tar roofer for many years. She was united in marriage to Donald K. Ross, and this union was blessed with three children. She went to work at the Shoe Factory at age 16 and worked there until she retired. Before Donald passed away they were both very active members in the VFW, Elk Lodge, Moose Lodge and the Eagles Club. Until her allergies got the best of her, Freeda was an avid vegetable gardener, always happy to share her bountiful garden with family, friends, and neighbors. West of Bourbon, Missouri was born at Sullivan, Missouri on February 20, 1951 to Bonnie (Ray) and Frederick West and passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at the age of 63 years and 6 months. He was a long time resident of the Sullivan and Bourbon areas and was a graduate of Sullivan High School, Class of 1971. Tom honorably served his country during the Vietnam War with the U.S. Navy and after his discharge, lived in Colorado for a time. He came back to the Sullivan area where he was employed at various companies, which included Meramec Industries, Industrial Wire Products, Aerofil and Paramount Headwear. Tom also worked part-time for Alpha Signs out of Bourbon, Missouri. Tom loved the outdoors and was an accomplished photographer. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and searching for arrowheads. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick West.
