She grew up in Sullivan and Bourbon, Missouri and was named the 1990 Meramec Community Fair queen. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1991. She married John Blacklock on January 11, 1996. Lori was a devoted wife, mother and served as a family readiness group leader during John's US Army career, supporting countless families during deployments. Her biggest joy was being the best MiMi ever to her pride and joy, Roman Greggory and her future grandson Bennett James. She is survived by her husband, John; sons, John, Justen and wife Deborah, Gregg and wife Morgan, David, and Kurtis; grandson, Roman; father and step-mother, Jerry and Claudette Sanders; mother, Sharon Douglas; brother, Matt Sanders; sister, Jeri Lee Faber; half-sister, Elizabeth Jarvis, step-sister: Cheryl Gruver; step-dad, Alan Wesley; step-mother, Micky Dyer; other relatives and friends. "Bill" Crolley of Cuba, Missouri was born Thursday December 23, 1937 at Mullens, South Carolina to Curtis Jefferson and Julia Belle (nee Campbell) Crolley and passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Bill joined the United States Air Force on April 8, 1957 and retired on July 1, 1977. He served in Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Alaska, Philippines and during the Vietnam Conflict. Bill retired as a Master Sergeant (MSGT) Aerospace Control and Warning System Superintendent. Bill earned the AFLSA w/ 4 Brn OLC and AFGEM w/3 OLC. Bill married Jeanette "Jeannie" Kricensky on Saturday, June 15, 1963 at Belleville, Illinois. After returning home from the Air Force, Bill went to work for Bunny Bread as a delivery driver in Granite City, Illinois. He retired a second time in 1995 from Bunny Bread after 18 years of dedicated service. October 16, 1996 Bill and Jeannie moved to Indian Hills and Bill began his third career of working on cars. He was a self-taught mechanic, welder, painter and interior reupholster. He restored Mustangs, a 57 Chevy, an Impala and many other cars. Bill was a very compassionate person and believed in always helping others. He was a member of the Cuba Car Club, lifetime member of the Cuba VFW and an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He always loved to eat out, socializing and he would make friends wherever he went. Richard Guy Martin Richard Guy Martin of St. James, Missouri was born on April 24, 1971 in Medasto, California to Roger Lee and Pauline Lee Martin and passed away on August 21, 2018 at the age of 47 years, 3 months and 28 days. He was united in marriage to Heather Michelle Copeland. He was a delivery driver of many local newspaper and also the owner of the St. James Taxi Cab Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Lee Martin. James Lewis "Jim" Massie James Lewis "Jim" Massie of Bourbon, Missouri was born on July 2, 1937 in Ellington, Missouri to Lewis Vernice and Roxie Ethel (Baker) Massie and passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Jim attended Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating in 1955. Jim spent two years of employment with McDonnell Douglas prior to serving his country in the US Marine Corps. Upon concluding his military service he returned to McDonnell Douglas as a flight mechanic; including service within the spacecraft division. Jim retired in 1992, after 35 years of service. Jim married Barbara Allen on December 26, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri. Jim and Barb were happily married for nearly 58 years. Jim enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, traveling to visit his siblings in North Carolina and Texas and summers in the family pool. Jim enjoyed a second career as a part-time farmer, raising cattle. Jim was a man of few words, but he always shared his opinion. One could say he had a gruff exterior with a booming voice, but he was really a softy on the inside. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Roxie Massie; and brother, Charles Massie and wife Vicky. Lawrence Ray Midyett Lawrence Ray Midyett of Viburnum, Missouri was born in Courtois, Missouri to Firman and Virgie Mincher Midyett and passed away Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 75 years, 10 months and 20 days. He married Susan Boehm who passed away in 2005 and later in May of 2010 he married Carol Jordan Bays. Lawrence served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He worked for Southwest Truck Body Shop and then in maintenance at Washington University where he retired. He and Carol attended the Viburnum Free Will Baptist Church. Lawrence was a member of the Viburnum Eagles Club and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan. "Pat" Mullen of Cuba, Missouri was born Friday, October 5, 1934 at Cuba, Missouri to Henry Joseph and Florence (nee Walden) Mullen and passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Pat served in the United States Navy. He retired from the Navy on July 10, 1972 after 20 years of dedicated service. Pat retired as SMC and he earned the 3 Good Conduct Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, 2 Vietnam Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. After retiring from the Navy, Pat came back home to Cuba, Missouri where he married Nancy Harding on August 15, 1975 at Cuba, Missouri. Pat worked construction for several years. He enjoyed building homes for people. He worked in real estate and had few factory jobs along the way. He worked for the Crawford County RII School District as a bus driver for 15 years. He loved working on his farm, taking care of his cattle, his horses and working on his tractor. He spent hours brush hogging, riding horses and building things. His cabin was his last project that he built. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Florence Mullen; one daughter, Cheri Thiele; two brothers, Russ and Cliff Mullen; one sister, Nancy Mullen; and two brothers-in-law, George Martin and Bill Glaese. Donald Walter Romine Donald Walter Romine of St. James, Missouri was born to Robert Ely and Bessie Francis Wolfe Romine on February 4, 1930 in St. Louis County, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the age of 88 years, 6 months and 26 days. He married Connie Lou Saladin on July 22, 1951 at the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri. As a young boy, he worked hard on his family farm, often making concessions for the good of the farm and family. He was inducted into the United States Army on March 7, 1951. He and Connie spent most of the first five years of marriage apart while he finished out his stay in the Army. After being discharged from the Army, he and Connie began farming. He worked the farm along with his job at Intercounty Electric for 43 years. He started as a lineman, and he worked his way up to being a foreman for this area. In his spare time he found time to garden. He was a master at raising tomatoes, strawberries and cantaloupe. Don was a man of integrity. He stood behind his word and he was willing to work as hard as needed to get the task done. He was a member of the First Church of God in St. James, Missouri where he served on the Church Board as Trustee. He was a Sunday school teacher, youth worker and sang in the choir. He was a huge supporter of the town's athletic teams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Bessie Romine; and three brothers, Elton B. Romine, Vernon Robert Romine and Arthur Victor Romine. He is survived by his wife, Connie of St. James, Missouri; one son, Larry Romine and wife Beverly of St. James, Missouri; one daughter, Linda Spurgeon and husband Norman of St. James, Missouri; grandchildren, Jeremy Romine and wife Heather, Courtney Mitchell, Ashley Lind and husband Josh and Erin Spurgeon; great grandchildren, Cody, Gavin, Megan, Michael, Samantha, Chaz, Aubrey, Brynlee and Cooper; two brothers, Louis LeRoy Romine of St. James, Missouri and Clarence Richard Romine of Strafford, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
