Leola A. Bacon
Leola A. Bacon nee Schaefer of Cuba, Missouri was born on Thursday,
December 9, 1921 in Glasgow, Missouri to George F. and Elizabeth Bange
Schaefer and passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Golden Living
Center, St. James, Missouri at the age of 90 years.
Leola married Marvin H. Bacon on July 16, 1943 in Fayette, Missouri and to
this union two sons were born.
In the past, Leola was active at the Cuba Senior Center and helped deliver
meals on wheels. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the Holy Cross
Church, Cuba, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Schaefer;
two sons, George and Marvin Bacon; sisters, Mary Jane (Harvey) Watts and
Elaine (John) Butler and brother, Charlie Schaefer.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin H. Bacon of Huntsville, Alabama;
sister, Marcella Strodtman and family of Armstrong, Missouri; grandchildren,
George (Tammy) Bacon of Leasburg, Missouri, Gerald Bacon and Kim (Stephen)
Bennick, all of Cuba, Missouri, Marvin Bacon of Huntsville, Alabama and
Jeff (Amber) Bacon of Harvest, Alabama; 13 great grandchildren; other
relatives and friends.
Leola donated her body to Science.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.

Don Mitchell Boyster
Don Mitchell Boyster of Kimberling City, Missouri was born on
October 25, 1943 in Potosi, Missouri to Howard and Lila (Range) Boyster
and passed away August 15, 2012 at his home at the age of 68 years.
Don was a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant serving from 1960 to 1980.
He was also a Vietnam Veteran.
Don married Louise Fern Fulliam on August 22, 1962 and they celebrated
49 years together last year. They have lived in Kimberling City, Missouri
for the past 25 years coming from Cuba, Missouri.
He was a member of the Ozark Mountain Assembly of God Church, Kimberling
City, Missouri and he loved to go fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lila Boyster; one
brother, Willard Boyster and two sisters, Ruby Boyster and Marie Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Fern Boyster of Kimberling City, Missouri;
one son, Brian Wayne Boyster and wife Brenda of Hope, Idaho; one daughter,
Angela Dawn Robinson and husband DeWayne of Spokane, Missouri; three
brothers, Virgil Boyster of Potosi, Missouri, Mike Boyster of Richwoods,
Missouri and Pat Boyster and wife Linda of Richwoods, Missouri; three
sisters, Thelma Knapp and husband Ed of Potosi, Missouri, Juanita Horton
and husband Ed of Belgrade, Missouri and Darlene DeClue and husband
Charles of Richwoods, Missouri; six grandchildren, Eric Allen Robinson,
Darren Paul Robinson, Lindsey Nichole Boyster, Brandon Nicholas Boyster,
Amy Elizabeth Robinson and Jacob Daniel Boyster; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 6-7 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012 in Ozark
Mountain Assembly of God Church, Kimberling City, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the Ozark
Mountain Assembly of God Church, Kimberling City, Missouri with Pastor Bob
Johnson officiating.
Burial was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the Missouri Veterans
Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.

South in Kimberling City, Missouri.
Thomas Raymond Bruns
Thomas Raymond Bruns, known to most as Tom, of Cuba, Missouri, formerly
St. Clair, Missouri, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 3, 1960 to
Karl Ivan Lee and Celeste Joan (Pensrum) Bruns and passed away in Cuba,
Missouri on September 2, 2012, at the age of 51 years, 9 months and 30 days.
Tom was a Christian, having been baptized in the Catholic faith at a young
age. In 1988, he began his employment with Olin Brass in Cuba, Missouri
where he was currently working as an overhead crane operator. During the
years he lived in St. Clair, he had been a member of the St. Clair
Volunteer Fire Department, the St. Clair Ambulance and was a charter member
of the St. Clair Elk’s Lodge # 2651. He was a sports enthusiast and avid
fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues and enjoyed watching
all the football teams. His favorite pastime was the spending time and
fellowshipping with friends at “The East Office” in Cuba. Tom loved music,
especially old time rock and roll and had a great collection of music that
he was always willing to share with friends. Fishing and doing woodworking
were other hobbies that Tom enjoyed. Nothing made him happier than the
time he spent with his family and the many wonderful memories created.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ivan Bruns.
He is survived by his mother, Celeste Bruns, known to most as Lovie, of
St. Clair, Missouri; his brother, Dale Bruns and wife Wendy of St. Clair,
Missouri; his nephew, David Bruns of St. Clair, Missouri; his niece, Carla
McNulty and husband Chris of St. Louis, Missouri; other relatives and
friends.
Visitation was held after 3 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the
Russell Colonial Funeral Home in St. Clair, Missouri with rosary services
at 7 p.m.
Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at the
St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair, Missouri with Father Bob Knight
officiating.
Interment was in St. Clare Catholic Cemetery, St. Clair, Missouri.
James Gordon Bushie
James Gordon Bushie was born April 7, 1957 in Virginia at the Fort Belvior
Military Hospital to Chief Warrant Officer Gordon James and Emele Jane
(Laun) Bushie and passed way in St. James, Missouri, September 6, 2012 at
the age of 55 years.
James grew up in St. James, Missouri graduated from John F. Hodge High
School in 1975 and attended East Central College in Union, Missouri. He
worked as a sales representative in Kansas City, Springfield and St. Louis,
Missouri before returning to St. James.
He had many talents and interests. When he was in high school he participated
in sports, sang in the choir and even started his own band. Anyone traveling
down Jefferson Street on a summer evening might hear the band practicing on
his parents’ back porch. Fishing was a favorite pastime of his and he could
often be found on the riverbank at Maramec Spring casting his line for a
lunker trout. James was an avid Cardinal fan and enjoyed attending games in
St. Louis with family. He loved the spirit of competition and was anxious
for everyone to participate in the “guess the total attendance” game for a
dollar.
James was a loving and attentive grandfather. He enjoyed spending time
reading, swimming and watching the Three Stooges with his granddaughters.
When the school bus arrived at home in the afternoon he was always there
to greet his granddaughter and ask about her day and help with homework.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, George and
Violet Laun and Harrison and Effie Bushie and brother, Lee Harrison Bushie.
He is survived by his partner, Lori Mathis and family, Charles Mathis,
Jennifer Mathis and husband Jimmy Daniels, Adam Mathis and wife Donita,
Brittany Vito-Mathis, Gwendolyn Daniels and Izabella Mathis; sisters,
Gail Rust and husband Scott, Lynn Wilson and husband Dennis, Ginny
Pherigo and husband Danny; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the St. James
United Methodist Church with Reverend Amy Turner officiating. Music was
provided by Trilogy.

St. James, Missouri.
Mary Elizabeth Clark
Mary Elizabeth Clark was born October 9, 1980 at Columbia, Missouri to the
union of Larry and Zelma Alexander Garrison and passed away Saturday,
September 1, 2012 at Bourbon, Missouri at the age of 31 years.
Mary was united in marriage to Eugene Clark and she spent her life as a
homemaker and hanging out with her friends and family. She was known for
have the “biggest heart” and loved kids. She enjoyed reading and going to the
river.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Garrison and other relatives
and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Zelma Alexander of Cuba, Missouri; husband,
Eugene Clark of Cuba, Missouri; five children, Valerie, Austin, Kayla,
Brendan and B.J.; one brother, Tim Garrison of Cuba, Missouri; three
sisters, Tammy and husband Ray Miller of Lodi, Ohio, Mindy Garrison of
Cuba, Missouri and Amanda and husband Steve Schlitt of Gray Summit,
Missouri; other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 at
Hoppe Spring Park in Steelville, Missouri with Ellen Ryerson officiating.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home in Cuba,
Missouri.
Opal Beatrice Codemo
Opal Beatrice Codemo was born March 16, 1927 to Charles Jefferson and Adda
Elvira DeNoon Adams and passed away Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the
Golden Living Center in St. James, Missouri at the age of 85 years.
On March 3, 1948 Opal was united in marriage to Nick Codemo.
Opal lived her entire life in St. James, Missouri. She grew up on a farm
and after marriage, she continued the farm life. Opal and her husband
operated a dairy farm for over 60 years. She enjoyed the life of a farmer’s
wife. Caring for her family and grandchildren was a great part of her
life. She loved cooking for the family and making everyone’s favorite
food. She loved to crochet and if you visited her home you would see her
work around the house.
She was active helping her family with 4-H and always helped the family at
the fair with their Guernsey cattle. She enjoyed reading and taking care
of her dog that followed her everywhere.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Adda Adams; one
son-in-law, Mike Hamilton; four brothers, Herman DeNoon, Charles Adams,
Sam Adams and Andy Adams; and sister-in-law, Nora Adams.
She is survived by her husband, Nick Codemo of St. James, Missouri; three
daughters, Betty Hartman and husband Ron of Mulberry Grove, Illinois,
Barbara Hamilton of St. James, Missouri and Opal Ann Williams and husband
Terry of St. James, Missouri; seven grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, September 10, 2012 at the Jones
Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at
the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with John Kinkead officiating.
Pallbearers were Brian Adams, Scott Adams, Bill Wehmeier, Russ
Falkenrath, Morgan Adams and Dawson Enloe.
Honorary pallbearers were Joey Williams, Riley Williams, Holden Enloe,
Braden Hartman, Connor Hartman, Wyatt Davis and Weston Davis.
Burial was in the family plot at the St. James Cemetery.

Samuel R. Conway
Samuel R. Conway of Davisville, Missouri was born on Sunday,
October 6, 1929 in Eminence, Missouri to Charlie and Easter Ann Goforth
Conway and passed away Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the age of 82 years,
10 months and 26 days.
Samuel served his country honorably in the United States Army during the
Korean War.
He married Nortie Reeves on July 5, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri.
He worked and retired from Rivertronics Company in Alton, Illinois as a
parts and service salesman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Easter Goforth; wife,
Nortie Conway; brothers, Emery (Eldie) Conway, John (Rosalee) Conway,
Lloyd (Iva) Conway and Curtis (Pauline) Conway; sisters, Betty (Elmo)
Johnson and April Conway.
He is survived by his daughter, Ann Devon (Ron) Martin of Cuba, Missouri;
grandchildren, Becky (Scott) Hampton of Davisville, Missouri and John Ray
(Anita) Bolden of Leasburg, Missouri; great grandchildren, Tyler James
Bolden, Kayla Ann Hampton, Katlyn Nicole Bolden and Alexa Nicole Hampton;
brothers, Earl (Hilda) Conway of Florida and Wayne (Wilma) Conway of
Eminence, Missouri; sister, Jean Atwood of Potosi, Missouri; sister-in-law
Wanda Poole of Jackson, Michigan; other relatives and friends.
A graveside service was Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the
Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri.

Missouri.
Larry D. Kincaid
Larry D. Kincaid of Sullivan, Missouri was born at St. Louis, Missouri
on July 26, 1952 to Jasper and Viola (Missey) Kincaid and passed away at
Missouri Baptist Hospital, Sullivan, Missouri on Sunday, September 2, 2012
at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 6 days.
He was raised in the Sullivan and Bourbon areas, later graduating from
Bourbon High School in 1970.
On August 18, 1973 he was united in marriage to Linda Gaskill at Bourbon,
Missouri.
Larry was a 32-year employee of the former Ramsey Corporation and was
employed there as a machinist until its closing. He then went to work for
Ace Manufacturing in Sullivan, Missouri, working in the maintenance
department.
Larry was an avid follower of the St. Louis Cardinals and thoroughly
loved NASCAR racing and any and all cars. He was a member of New Testament
Baptist Church of Sullivan.
He is survived by his wife, Linda of the family home; one brother, Jeff
Kincaid and wife Janet of Sullivan, Missouri; half-brothers and sisters,
Dwain, Art and Robert Kincaid, Sandy Bay and Dena Brock, all of the
state of Indiana; his mother-in-law, Mary Gaskill of Sullivan, Missouri;
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 9-11 a.m. on Thursday at New Testament Baptist
Church.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012
at New Testament Baptist Church in Sullivan, Missouri with Pastor Charles
Idelman officiating.
Interment was in Bourbon Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home, Sullivan,
Missouri.
Harry “Snook” Lynn White
Harry “Snook” Lynn White of Steelville, Missouri, formerly of Granite
City, Illinois, was born Saturday, September 2, 1950 in St. Louis, Missouri
to Benjamin Claude White and Rosetta Ester Pickett and passed away at his
home in Steelville, Missouri on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the age of
62 years and 2 days.
Harry married Wendy Sue Turner April 6, 1970 at the courthouse in Granite
City, Illinois and together they raised four sons.
Harry worked a number of years as a carpenter and later worked for John
Berra Construction until he retired.
Harry served his country faithfully in the US Army and was honorably
discharged.
Harry and Wendy moved to Steelville from Granite City, Illinois in 1987.
He was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Granite City,
Illinois. He was a former member of the Steelville Country Club. He
enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and collecting guns.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin White; brothers-in-law
and sisters-in-law, George Melvin Turner, Jr., Juanita Faye and Arvin
Downing, Anita Maye and Robert Downing.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy White of Steelville, Missouri; mother,
Rosetta White of Granite City, Illinois; four sons, Walter ‘SOB’ and
Faye Marsh of Steelville, Missouri, Benjamin ‘Benny’ Wayne (Etta) White,
Jeffrey ‘Dink’ Lynn White, and Kevin Lee ‘Cooter’ White, all of Poplar
Bluff, Missouri; brothers, Herbert Joseph White, Terry (Roxanne) White,
Benjamin Claude ‘Jr’ White and sister, Janet Sue Chronister, all of
Granite City, Illinois; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry Dean
Turner, Toni Marie (David) Tanner and Mary Louise Woolsey, all of
Granite City, Illinois; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren;
other relatives and friends.
The family chose cremation.
