MO Local Obituaries for the Week of September 12, 2017 Fay Aemisegger Fay Aemisegger, formerly of Clarksville, Tennessee, was born April 5, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Charles and Amy (Giedinghagen) Murphy and passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at the age of 88 years. She grew up and attended school in Bourbon, Missouri, at which she enjoyed participating in school athletics. She and her sister both worked for her parents independent telephone company located in Bourbon, Missouri. After graduating from high school, she attended a business school in St. Louis, Missouri. Fay married Otto "Pete" Aemisegger on April 26, 1952 in Bourbon, Missouri and to this union their daughter, Connie was born. With Pete in the service, they spent time in Georgia and Tennessee before settling in Clarksville, Tennessee. Fay was a loving mother and enjoyed time raising their daughter, Connie. While Connie was in Girl Scouts, Fay was quite active in the organization. Later in life she would assist the local church ladies in the food kitchen. She was an excellent seamstress and was especially skilled in needlework. Fay also loved to play golf, and one year won the Ladies City Amateur Tournament in Clarksville. In 2007, she moved to Atlanta, to make her final home near her daughter. She continued to follow various sporting events on television, especially men's golf and women's basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete; and her parents, Charles and Amy Murphy. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Kagey and husband J. Forrest of Doraville, Georgia; sister, Fern Carter of Columbia, Missouri; nieces, Linda Sappington of Ashland, Missouri and Nancy Baker of Germantown, Wisconsin; numerous nieces and nephews from the family of her late husband, Pete; other relatives and friends. Gary Robert Armstrong Gary Robert Armstrong was born October 8, 1954 to Lyle and Mary (nee O'Dare) Armstrong and passed away September 3, 2017 at the age of 62 years, 11 months and 26 days. Gary was united in marriage to Dianna May Breslich on October 5, 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Mary Armstrong. George Alex Delashmit George Alex Delashmit of Bourbon, Missouri George was born on January 27, 1922 in Newburg, Missouri to Alexander and Belle (Earp) Delashmit and passed away on August 18, 2017 at the age of 95 years. He was baptized in the Newburg Baptist Church as a teen, and after graduating Newburg High School, he enlisted in the US Navy and was promoted to Ensign as a Navy pilot. He was a member of VT-13, and flew a TBM in the South Pacific, assigned to the Ticonderoga and later in Hawaii. George and Vera Bernice Bohannon were married in Fallon, Nevada on May 22, 1945. After leaving the service, George worked for the USGA in Rolla and later for Rolla Drug store where he was convinced to go to work for Sharpe & Dohme Drug Company, which merged with Merck and Company. George worked as a pharmaceutical representative for 33 years and made his home in Quincy, Illinois until 1980. George and Bernice were known as avid square dancers for 30 years, belonging to several clubs, traveling across the country and hosting competitive square dancing at their home. After retirement, George and Bernice move to Carrier, Mississippi where they stayed until moving to Bourbon, Missouri in 2000 to be closer to family. He was a regular at the community center, always ready with a joke and smile. George had many George-isms, and when asked how he was, his answer "meaner than a hog" meant he was doing well, and give me the facts was "You can't shoot a squirrel behind the branch." He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice; daughter; Tami Fisher; parents, Alexander and Belle Delashmit; five brothers and three sisters. Delashmit, of Clarksville, Tennessee was born on July 27, 1978, in Truckee, California to Michael and Amy (Clow) Delashmit and passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the age of 39 years and 1 month. He spent 20 years in the USAF and was to retire in January 2018. He was a reservist at Scott AFB and worked as a medical technician at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. He was very involved as a Jr. Soldier in The Salvation Army and had the privilege to introduce General Burrows at a National Congress. One of his proudest moments was achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and was indebted to BSA Scout Master Chuck Lafayette for pushing him. He lived the BSA motto, "Do a good turn for others." He could fix nearly anything. His passions were old cars, motorcycles and a good cigar, and he often said "Everything happens for a reason." One of his greatest accomplishments was to make life better for Ana as her permanent legal guardian for nine years. He loved the Lord Jesus. On April 6, 1947 Ruby married Robert (John) Gargus. Ruby was a member of the Solid Rock Christian Church. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends, she also enjoyed quilting and sewing. She worked for many years at the local factories and was also a cook at the school cafeteria for several years. After she and John retired they really loved to travel and fish. Ruby didn't enjoy gardening much, but John did. As usual with team effort. He would plant and harvest, while Ruby would can and put up what he had grown. Rosemary Hamilton Rosemary Hamilton of Cuba, Missouri was born on Saturday, January 4, 1930 at Manchester, Missouri to John B. and Mary C. (nee Koebel) Menz and passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Rosemary graduated middle school from St. Joseph's Catholic School in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated high school from the Cuba High School. Rosemary married William Edward "Ed" Hamilton on April 14, 1951 at Cuba, Missouri. Rosemary spent her life taking care of her home and family. She spent hours sewing, quilting, crocheting and embroidering. Every summer, for many years, Rosemary and Ed would put in a large garden and then spend days canning. She was an excellent cook and her family truly enjoyed her apple butter, dill pickles, dinner rolls, pumpkin pie, meatloaf and cheesecake. She was also Ed's wonderful assistant, whether it be farming, camping, fishing or working on automobiles. They were always side by side for nearly 64 years. In early 1972, they purchased a resort at Reed Springs and in 1974 they sold the resort and moved back to Cuba and started farming again. In the spring of 2015, Rosemary began attending the Holy Cross Catholic Church of Cuba, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Menz; husband, Ed Hamilton; two brothers, Johnny Menz and Donald Menz; sister, Florence Pinnell; two brothers-in-law, George and wife Agnes Hamilton and James L. Rosalee lived all of her life in Crawford County with the exception of a short time in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Steelville High School in 1947. On March 22, 1947 she married Earl Midyett. She worked at various places, including Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, Missouri, Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, Missouri, and at Steelville R-3 Schools. She retired from Steelville Schools in 1994, after having been a cook there for 18 years. She accepted the Lord and was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Steelville, Missouri. She enjoyed spending time with her friend Nora Lea and her neighbors Inabelle Gladden and Sue Leasor. She liked cooking for family and she especially enjoyed playing with her grandchildren. Margaret Ann Neff Margaret Ann Neff of Sullivan, Missouri was born to Robert and Elizabeth LaVear on Friday, May 19, 1944 in Washington, Missouri and passed away Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the age of 73 years. Margaret lived a truly unique life. Once, as a freelance photographer in Nashville, Tennessee she was "shooting the stars," in which she loved capturing the moment. She would later move to Sullivan, Missouri to open one of the first 24-hour licensed day care facilities. She molded each child in her care, to be their own individual person and taught many young parents, that the most important thing you could spend on your child is time. She spent her later years at Cuba Manor, where she enjoyed playing bingo, singing karaoke, going to church services and listening to classic country music. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Elizabeth LaVear; one brother, Floyd LaVear; and one sister, Elizabeth Brake. She is survived by her son, Dwayne and wife Britni Garfoot; daughter, Robin Rogers; granddaughter Samantha Rogers, all of Sullivan, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Virginia Mae Parker Virginia Mae Parker of St. James, Missouri was born on July 28, 1921 to Harley and Adeline Reel and passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at the age of 96 years. She married Harry A. Parker. Virginia was a member of Open Door Baptist Church while she lived in Indiana. When she moved to Missouri, she became a member of Delhi Baptist Church of Cuba, Missouri. Virginia loved singing in the choir and playing the piano. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harley and Adeline Wolfe Reel; three brothers, Harley Reel, Mack Reel and Harry Reel; three sisters, Margaret Fockler, Betty Burton and Helen. She is survived by daughters, LaDonna McAuley of St. James, Missouri, Vicky Percinal of Flordia, and Carla Clark and husband Mark of Indianapolis, Indiana; son, Don Luca and sister, Mary Lou Chaisten of Indiana; other relatives and friends. Lisa Margaretha Schulte Lisa Margaretha Schulte of Steelville, Missouri was born July 27, 1966 in St. Louis, Missouri to John Nathaniel and Margaret Schatz Rawie and passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at the age of 51 years, 2 months and 1 day. Lisa was united in marriage to Kurt Schulte on July 26, 1986 in St. Louis and to this union four children were born. Lisa had been employed as Food Director of the Crawford County R-2 Schools. She was of the Catholic faith. She and Kurt were members of the Missouri Anglers Association. Lisa loved to read, loved animals and loved her children and was waiting to be a grandmother in the late fall of this year. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Rawie; and one nephew, Nickalas Schulte. Ercie Lee Turnbough Ercie Lee Turnbough of St. James, Missouri was born on January 3, 1935 in Davisville, Missouri to William and Pearl Martin Turnbough and passed on September 4, 2017 at the age of 82 years 8 months and 1 day. He was first united in marriage to Norma Turnbough. In April 2, 1993, he was united in marriage to Donna Marie Steen in High Gate, Missouri. He was a factory worker for Ramsey Piston Rings for 37 years. He loved to hunt and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed being in the woods and hunting mushrooms. Ercie was a member of Full Gospel Church in Rolla, Missouri. If you knew, Ercie you loved him because he loved everyone. He loved having his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- granchildren around him, and he often shared stories of his youth with them. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Pearl Martin Turnbough; brothers, Cletis Turnbough, Earl Turnbough, and infant Curtis Turnbough; and two sisters, Marie Geller and Gladys Parsons. Earl Conrad Williams Earl Conrad Williams of Cuba, Missouri was born on July 1, 1936 to Roy L. and Edith (Kohler) Williams in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the age of 81 years. He grew up and attended school in Wellston. Earl honorably served our country in the United State Air Force from 1955-1959. Earl married his first wife, Arlene Ackley, and of this union came their three children: Barb, Earl K. and Mark. In 1972, they moved to Sullivan, Missouri to raise their family. Earl worked for Ramsey Corp. for many years and Ace Manufacturing, from which he retired in 2002. On June 22, 1994, Earl was united in marriage to his second wife, Gayle Lemcke in Steelville, Missouri. Earl enjoyed his later years, working at Onondaga Cave State Park, fishing and gardening and attending dog shows at Purina Farms. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene Ackley; his father, Roy L. Williams; and his mother, Edith Kohler. He is survived by his wife, Gayle (Lemcke) Williams; two sons, Earl K. Williams and wife Faith of Florida and Mark S. Williams and wife Lynn of Jerseyville, Illinois; one daughter, Barb Miller and husband Robert of Grimesland, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
