Robert Ronald "Ron" Bouse
Robert Ronald "Ron" Bouse was born Monday, July 2, 1935, at
Butts, Missouri, a son of the late Maggie Belle (Sites) and John James
Bouse, Sr.
He entered eternal rest Saturday, September 4, 2004, at the
Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Sullivan, Missouri, at the age of 69
years, 2 months and 2 days.
On February 19, 1960, at St. Louis, Missouri, Ron was united
in marriage to Marium Joyce Santhuff, daughter of Mary Santhuff Lacy and
the late Jesse Lyman Santhuff. Two daughters and two sons were born to
this union.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by three
brothers, William H. "Bill" Bouse and wife JoAnn, Richard Donald "Dick"
Bouse and Luther George "Lute" Bouse; two sisters Eileen "Pug" and husband
Jerry Winer and Betty Jo Bouse; his father-in-law Jesse L. Santhuff; one
grandson Jacob Randall Turnbough; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Armin
Ayers, Buster Hewkin, Shirley Faye and Lyman Monroe, Jr.
Ron served in the United States Army, receiving the rank of
Sgt. He received an honorable discharge January 11, 1964.
He was a hardworking, successful businessman and farmer. He
took great pride in his cattle. He was a faithful member and deacon in
First Baptist Church.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted
wife, Joyce Bouse of the home in Steelville, Missouri; two daughters,
Tammy and husband Steve Hammonds of Steelville, Missouri, Pamela and
husband Wes Francis of Bertrand, Missouri; two sons, Rick Bouse and wife
Brenda of Sullivan, Missouri, Brock Bouse and wife Becky of Bourbon,
Missouri.
Four brothers, John James "Chuck" Bouse, Jr. and wife Connie,
Noel Adrian "Pete" Bouse and wife Sharon, Thomas Wayne "Tom" Bouse and
wife Ruby, all of Cuba, Missouri, Jack Herschell Bouse and wife Julie of
Foley, Alabama; two sisters, Verna Ayers of Steelville, Missouri and Vera
Hewkin of Atlanta, Georgia.
Also remaining is his mother-in-law, Mary Lacy of Steelville,
Missouri; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Bouse, Hallie Bouse,
Bob and Lelah Santhuff and Loretta Anderson, all of Steelville, Missouri,
Bill and Pat Santhuff of Piedmont, Missouri, Delores and Don Goad of Cedar
Hill, Missouri, Ronnie Santhuff of Sinton, Texas.
Seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Heather, Michael, Heath, Abbie
Belle, Morgan and Megan; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and
friends.
Robert Ronald Bouse lay in state 4-8 p.m. Monday, September 6,
2004 at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004
at the First Baptist Church, Steelville, Missouri with Dr. Cardis Bryan
officiating and Rev. Howard Wymer and Rev. Bart Hildreth assisting.
Musical selections were provided by Rob and Kay Housewright, Joyce Vaughn,
Jackie Richardson, the Bouse family (Joyce, Pam, Rick and Brock) with
Jackie as pianist.
Honoring Ron as pallbearers were nephews Jim Ayers, Brad
Bouse, Jeff Bouse, Kirk Bouse, Mike Bouse, Tommy Bouse Jr., and Jeff
Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were his brothers Tom, Pete, Chuck and Jack
Bouse.
Committal prayers and interment were in Fairview Cemetery,
Butts, Missouri. Military honors were at graveside with the presentation
of the flag.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Britton Funeral
Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Tamie Mae Kessinger
Tamie Mae (Asher) Kessinqer was born November 24, 1960 to Alma
Ruth and Loyd Asher in Springfield, Missouri.
She married Dr. Jay Kessinger September 23, 1989 and has been
married for 15 years. Tamie loved to play softball and volleyball. She
especially loved her children.
Tamie worked at the Kessinger Chiropractic Clinic in Relic,
Missouri with her husband Dr. Jay Kessinger and his parents, Dr. Jack and
Virginia Kessinger, as an office manager.
Tamie passed from this life September 12, 2004 at her home in
Rolla, Missouri at the age of 43 years. She is preceded in death by her
father, one brother David Asher and a daughter Zoe.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Jay Kessinger of Rolla,
Missouri; a son Zachary and daughter Ashley Kessinger of their home. One
step-son Andy Kessinger of Sarcoxia, Missouri; her mother and step father
Ruth and Marion Ellis of Seymour, Missouri.
One brother Robert Asher I Judy of Rogersville, Missouri; four
sisters, Regina Bogart and Larry of Mansfield, Missouri; Kathy Helsley of
Seymour, Missouri, Sue Merriett of Ava, Missouri; Geri Riley and Kenny of
Seymour, Missouri and also a host of other relatives and friends. Tamie
will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was Tuesday, September 14, 2004 from 5-8 p.m. at
the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church in Rolla, Missouri. The funeral
service was Wednesday, September 15, 2004 at 11 a.m., at the Vineyard
Christian Fellowship Church in Rolla, Missouri.
The officiating ministers were Pastor Wade Wilson, Pastor Gary
Teague and Pastor Tim Stagner. Interment was in the Rolla City Cemetery in
Rolla, Missouri. All arrangements were made with the Teague and Sons
Funeral Home in Newburg, Missouri.
John C. Mason, Sr.
John C. Mason, Sr. of Sullivan, Missouri passed away
Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at the age of 90 years.
John was born in the Boss, Missouri area at what was then
known as Howe's Mill to the late James Otis and Charlotte (Wisdom) Mason.
He attended school and later graduated from Stone Hill High School.
John honorably served his country during WWII with the U.S.
Army in the Medical Corps. He saw action in New Guinea, the Philippines,
Luzon, and Korea. He was awarded two Bronze Stars for these campaigns and
also a Combat Medical Badge and the Pacific Theatre Campaign Ribbon with
Bronze Arrowhead along with a Good Conduct Medal.
In July 14, 1949 he was married to Roberta Scott and they made
their home in Sullivan. John was an employee of the Sullivan Electrical
Department several years prior to becoming a Ramsey Corporation employee.
In the mid 1950s John was employed as a machinist at Ramsey
and retired from there after 30 years of service to the company. After his
retirement, John worked at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan and was a
faithful employee for almost 20 years.
He was a member of the Sullivan Volunteer Fire Department and
later the Fire District for over 50 years. John was also a 50 year member
of the Sullivan Lodge No. 69 AF & AM and 50 year member of the Order of
Eastern Star Sullivan Chapter No. 109.
He enjoyed the game of golf and was a member of Sullivan
Country Club for over 30 years. He was also a member of Temple Baptist
Church of Sullivan.
John also found pleasure in camping and traveling, gardening
and time with his family and friends. One of his greatest pleasures was
his coffee buddy time at the Bobber and this was a special time of day for
John. He was known as a kind and devoted husband, father, grandfather,
brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend and will be fondly remembered by
all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Roberta of the family home, one son
John C. Mason, Jr. and wife Jean of Sullivan, two grandsons, John C.
Mason, III and Ryan James Mason.
One sister Virginia Hedrick of Rolla, Missouri, a
sister-in-law Lola Mason of Salem, Missouri, nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his
beloved daughter-in-law Penny Huer Mason, four brothers Eldred, Howard,
Winfred and Kenneth Mason, a sister Ersie Sellers, three sisters-in-law,
Zona, Loise, and Della Mason, two brothers-in-law Walter Sellers and Miles
Hedrick, four nephews James Mason in infancy, Paul Sellers, Stanley Mason
and Judson Mason and a niece Freda Mason.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, September
4, 2004 from Eaton's Hassebroek Chapel in Sullivan with Pastor Scott Perry
officiating. Interment was in Meramec Hills Memorial Garden, Cuba,
Missouri with full military honors. Fireman's honors were bestowed at 7
p.m. Friday evening with Masonic services at 7:15 p.m. followed by Order
of Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
All arrangements were under the care of the Eaton Funeral
Home, Sullivan, Missouri.
Anthony Lynn Moore
Anthony Lynn Moore was born Thursday, June 5, 1959 at Bernie,
Missouri, a son of Lois Delashmet Moore and Colon A. Moore, Jr.
He entered eternal life Tuesday, September 7, 2004 in his home
(the result of a fire) in Bourbon, Missouri at the age of 45 years, 3
months and 2 days.
Anthony served two years in the U.S. Army in Panama. He worked
at Carden Machine Shop in Sullivan, Missouri. He was a very compassionate
and kind person. He enjoyed life and was everyone's friend.
Those who preceded him in death were his father, Colon A.
Moore, Jr., grandparents Howell and Ava Delashmet, Maureen Moore Jackson
and Colon A. Moore, Sr.
Among those who remain to mourn his passing are his parents,
Richard and Lois Carden, brother Colon A. "Butch" Moore III, all of
Steelville, Missouri; great uncle Milton Delashmet of St. Louis, Missouri;
uncles and aunts John and Carole Delashmet, Herrin, Illinois, Ancil and
Elizabeth Delashmet of Gaffney, South Carolina, Howell and Margaret
Delashmet, Kennansville, Florida, Jerry and Shelby Delashmet and Roger and
Eva Delashmet of Naples, Florida and Ann Coombs of Cuba, Missouri; other
relatives and many friends.
Anthony Lynn Moore lay in state 6-9 p.m. Thursday, September
9, 2004 at the Britton Brothers Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2004
at the Britton Chapel, Steelville, Missouri with Rev. Jerry Beers
officiating. Musical selections were provided by Wanda Ransom organist,
Kay and Rob Housewright and Joyce Vaughn vocalist.
Committal prayers and interment were in Steelville Cemetery,
Steelville, Missouri. Serving as pallbearers were Ancil Delashmet, John
Delashmet, Roger Delashmet, Clements Fife, Ernest Martin and Stanley Rupe.
Arrangments were entrusted to the care of Britton Funeral
Home, Steelville, Misosuri.
Margie C. Randall
Margie C. Randall nee Coleman, of Edwardsville, Illinois,
passed away Monday, September 6, 2004 at St. Louis University Medical
Center in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of the late Otis F.
and Lila Setzer Coleman, of Davisville, Missouri.
On June 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Roxie N.
Randall in Marshall, Illinois. He preceded her in death on November 4,
1956.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in
death by one sister, Argie Coleman, one brother, John W. Coleman, one
nephew, Lewis Kussar and a special friend, John Eden.
Mrs. Randall was a member of the First Christian Church
Disciples of Christ in Edwardsville, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter
667 in Edwardsville and a member of Women of the Moose Chapter 82 in
Edwardsville.
Those who remain to mourn her passing are one brother, Paul
and wife Nola Coleman of Beaufort, Missouri, two sisters, Helen Earls of
Ironton, Missouri and Dorothy Zumstein of Redmond, Oregon; three nephews,
Paul F. Coleman, Beaufort, Mo., Thomas Coleman of Viburnum, Mo. and Otis
Coleman of Dillard, Mo.
Five nieces, Marilyn Killian, Wichita, Kansas, Carol Leach of
Manchester, Mo., Cathy Leimkuehler of Leslie, Mo., Lila Weaver, Affton,
Mo. and Margie Bobbitt of Salem, Mo.; her close friends, Phyllis Eden and
Jay Unger of Darnestown, Maryland; and Lindley and Mary Ann Renken of
Edwardsville, Illinois, also one sister-in-law, Maudie Coleman of
Viburnum, Mo.
Mrs. Randall was in state from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday,
September 8, 2004 at Weber Funeral Home in Edwardsville. Services were
held 11 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at First Christian Church in
Edwardsville, with Rev. James Brooks, Pastor, officiating.
Interment was in Forever Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville.
