On May 12, 1979, she married Billy Barnett. Donna was born filled with love and a constant desire to help others. No matter what she would go above and beyond to make sure her family and friends had what they needed. Donna enjoyed cruises and could always be found on the beach. She recently became a proud grandmother for the first time. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eula Conway. Susie attended the Berryman Assembly of God Church and always looked forward to attending with her family and nieces and nephews. She enjoyed following the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team, playing Bingo, coloring in her coloring books and watching wildlife. Maurice Brown Maurice Brown of Van Buren, Missouri was born May 21, 1925 to Amos Earl and Anna Marie (Hamlin) Brown in Bourbon, Missouri and passed away August 4, 2015 at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 14 days. Maurice had resided in Van Buren, Missouri for the past 35 years and was formerly of Winona, Missouri. He served as vice president of manufacturing at Paramount Cap Mfg. and after his retirement, he owned and operated the flea market in Van Buren known as the World Trade Center. He was very civic minded in both Van Buren and Winona, serving on the Senior Citizen Housing Board, the Ambulance Board, St Francis Hospital Board, Winona School Board, City Council, Lion's Club and was Boy Scout Leader and volunteered for the fire department. He was an active member of the Saint George Catholic Church in Van Buren, Missouri. His daily devotional was "Lord, help me live from day to day in such a self-forgetful way that even when I kneel to pray, my prayer shall be for others." On September 7, 1946, he married Rosemary Waidmann in Bourbon, Missouri. David Earl Dunn David Earl Dunn of Steelville, Missouri was born August 26, 1933 in Oates, Missouri to Marion J. and Alice Kent Dunn and passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the age of 82 years and 13 days. On March 7, 1958 in Overland, Missouri, he married Elizabeth Fee. David worked for Cerro-Cooper and Brass Company and retired in April of 1970. He attended the Steelville First Assembly of God Church. As a young boy, he attended the Locust Grove United Baptist Church in Oates, Missouri. In later years, David accepted the Lord at his home. He was a past member of the Steelville Country Club. He enjoyed being outdoors, barbequing, camping, taking care of their indoor plants and watching their outdoor roses bloom. During the summer at one point of his life, he helped Leroy Farrar with his floating service. He loved to watch wrestling during his down time. Debbie was united in marriage to Russell Gassmann on March 11, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri. Debbie worked several years for the Crawford County R2 School District as a cook, later working in the office for Swinger Sanitation and was the Avon Lady in Cuba, Missouri for 17 years. She enjoyed being a storyteller, lots of laughter, traveling, camping, going out to eat, baking and spoiling her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Barbara Johanpeter. Robert Lee Heflin Robert "Bob" Lee Heflin was born on Thursday, September 17, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to Theresa Land and was raised by his grandmother Sadie Land and passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the age of 61 years, 11 months and 15 days. Bob met Alice Louise Bellew in St. Louis, Missouri in 1980. They married on June 3, 1989 and settled in the Steelville/Cherryville, Missouri area. Together they raised five children. Bob worked in Refining at Doe Run Company in Viburnum, Missouri. During his life he accepted the Lord as his Savior and shared his musical talent by playing the drums throughout the years at area churches. He and his family lived in the Steelville, Missouri area for many years. He was an avid outdoor sportsman and took pleasure in hunting, fishing and snagging. Bob was very social, and enjoyed family dinners and watching wrestling. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sadie Land; mother, Theresa Land; and sister, Sandy Harborth. Jeneanne Mae Hoffmeister Jeneanne Mae "Jean" Hoffmeister of Cuba, Missouri was born March 21, 1933 at Champaign, Illinois to Ralph and Charlotte (nee Plotner) Wirz and passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the age of 82 years. Jean married Oscar Hoffmeister on March 24, 1951 at Steelville, Missouri and to this union one daughter was born. Jean was one of the first employees hired at MEPCO and was a dedicated employee for over 30 years. Jean would go to work early each morning and get the coffee ready for the rest of the staff. Jean considered the staff of MEPCO as her family. Jean could be found on Sunday at the racetrack watching Oscar race. They enjoyed many trips to Branson to watch the shows and to shop. On the way home from Branson they always stopped at the Amish Store to pick up seasonings for everyone. Jean enjoyed word search books, reading romance novels, going out to eat and one of their favorite places to go was Rockfair Tavern. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Charlotte Wirz; sister, Juanita Stroud; and nephews, Mike Jenkins and Matt Wirz. Brian Gentry Rippeto Brian Gentry Rippeto of St. James, Missouri was born in St. Louis County, Missouri on December 10, 1966 to Paul Gene and Joan (Starbeck) Rippeto and passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the age of 48 years as the result of a motorcycle accident. Brian possessed a brilliant mind, a kind heart and an adventurous spirit. He left school after his junior year to enlist in the United States Army where he proudly served his country at Fort Irwin, receiving a Sharpshooter ribbon among others. He loved riding his Harley Davidson and building hot rods. On December 18, 2008 Brian was united in marriage to Cathy Favuzza. This union also joined his daughter and Cathy's three daughters. He loved animals, especially his dogs, Sammy, Cookie and Stevie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Joan Rippeto; sister-in-law, Nancy Christopher; and brother-in-law, John Heinszman. Curtis married Linda Kitchen on March 19, 1966 in Cuba, Missouri and to this union two daughters were born. He managed the Tri-County Truck Stop in Washington, Missouri for 10 years, but worked most of his adult life as a cattle farmer. He enjoyed watching wildlife, hunting and working on his farm.
