She had a big heart and would do anything for you. Stephanie worked as a packer for Meramec Industries in Sullivan, Missouri. She was a very out going person and she never met a stranger. She loved to go fishing, shopping and going out to eat. She was preceded in death by her father, Phillip Jarvis Sr.; brother, Phillip E. Amanda was a light in the life of everyone she knew. She was always there if you needed advice, an ear to listen, a shared sarcastic glance or just a good laugh. Arthur "Duane" Gray Arthur "Duane" Gray of St. James, Missouri was born August 6, 1950 in Waynesville, Missouri to Arthur Ausburn "Lefty" and Marjorie Janiece McGath Gray and passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at the age of 70 years. He married Deborah Louise Wallace on December 20, 1969 at the First Assembly of God Church in St. James, Missouri. Duane grew up in Cuba, Missouri where his father managed Dr. Mosby's 1000 acre farm. He attended two one room schools, Vine Hill and Pleasant Ridge. In his fourth grade year he was one of the first to attend the Cuba Elementary. Duane's fondest childhood memory is one of growing up on the farm and riding his favorite horse, "Huckleberry" which was an Appaloosa stallion. He graduated from Cuba High School in 1968. While in high school, Duane enjoyed attending the weekly youth group meetings at the First Assembly of God Church in St. James, Missouri where he met Deborah. In 1970 he attended United Electronics Institute in Louisville, Kentucky and became an electronics technician. He was offered a job at Schwitzer before he completed his schooling for electronics technician. He was employed with this company for 22 years as a press operator and a receiving lay-out inspector. He drove a school bus for Rolla Public Schools for the next 10 years which inspired a collection of "Hot Wheels" school buses. In 2002, he joined the Phelps County Sheriff's Department as a transport jailer later to become a transport deputy. In 2005, along with his job at the Sheriff's Department, he began working for Phelps County Regional Medical Center as a public safety officer. Duane has been a faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church for over 50 years where he worked in children's ministry along with his wife Deborah, bus ministry, the sound booth, church security, greeting, and a host of other positions in the church. All that knew Duane knew that he was best known for his "gift of gab." He was preceded in death by his parents, Lefty and Marjorie Gray; and sister, Lauretta Adams. Christene grew up in Cook Station, Missouri. She accepted the Lord at a young age and attended Wesco Baptist Church. After graduating from Steelville High School she went to St. Louis, Missouri and worked at American Associated Insurance. Christene married Earl D. Grubaugh October 10, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri. Christene was a stay at home mom until her youngest was close to 10 years old and then she began working in the Payroll Department of Brown Shoe Company in Steelville, Missouri until she retired due to health issues. She took pride in her multiple colors of iris. She enjoyed reading and working word search puzzles. She taught Sunday School classes and helped with Vacation Bible School at both Wesco Baptist Church and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Ronald married Frances Ione Bishop on June 28, 1952. Ronald lived in the Sullivan/Bourbon, Missouri area and worked as a custodian for the Bourbon High School. He retired from there after many years. Some of his hobbies included hunting and fishing. Ronald loved the Lord and attended New Life of Hope Church in Sullivan, Missouri. Before he returned to the States, they were married. She worked many years at J.C. Penney's in the shoe department. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, played in a bridge club, was a member of the Rolla Lioness Club and she loved to bowl. Anna liked visiting with friends and family, reading and in her younger years, also gardening, playing softball, camping and fishing with her sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bill, and traveling with friends Jack and Belle Lewis. Anna graduated from Steelville High School in 1948. She and L indell Hinch were married on September 17, 1949. Anna was a member of Steelville Presbyterian Church, a member of the Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered more than 3,000 hours at Gibbs Care Center. She was also known to many people as a friendly face working at the Steelville Supply Store back in the 1980s. She loved spending evenings sitting outside on the carport with Tom or taking a drive down to Current River just enjoying each others company. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed word search puzzles. Evelyn was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church for many years. She loved reading her Bible and had completely read it through several times. Edwina grew up in Steelville, graduating from Steelville High School. She later moved to St. Louis, Missouri and married Bob Key. She was employed at Christian Hospital North West as a Nursery aid for the newborn babies and their mothers. After many years she retired in 1999. Edwina enjoyed shopping, decorating her home and refinishing antique furniture. She also enjoyed having the "girls" lunch with her friends after retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rainey and Geraldine Parker. Brian Dean Kridelbaugh Brian Dean Kridelbaugh was born on November 25, 1958 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota to Leon and Rosemary Kridelbaugh and passed away on September 2, 2020 at the age of 61 years. He grew up exploring the woods with his two brothers and constructing elaborate tree houses and forts. It was clear from a young age that he was destined to be a builder. Brian was a creative and good-humored free spirit. After high school, he made a grand adventure out west, working in the lead mines of Colorado and summiting Mt. Ranier in Washington state. He eventually returned to his roots in Missouri and gained vocational training in masonry. His true artistic medium was working with natural rock and he ran his own landscaping business for over 30 years, creating finely crafted rock structures for clients throughout the Rolla and St. James, Missouri area. Brian also was an amateur archaeologist who studied Ozark petroforms, which are rock formations constructed by early Native American inhabitants of the region. His work was published in a scientific journal and earned him a research award and recognition among the archaeology community. He regularly volunteered as a steward at several recreation areas to include Mill Creek, which held special meaning to him and his archaeology interests. Randolph "Randy" Franklin McClary Randolph "Randy" Franklin McClary, of Owensville, Missouri was born on Sunday, August 28, 1949 in Bourbon, Missouri to James Elmer and Martha Lillian (Pennock) McClary and passed away on Monday, September 7, 2020 at the age of 71 years and 10 days. Randy accepted the Lord early in life. During his younger years, he worked at Zephyr's Truck Stop in Sullivan, Missouri and also provided wrecker service for some time. On February 14, 1976 he married Antonia "Toni" Marie Sevcik in Denison, Texas. After marrying Toni, he was on over-the-road truck driver for 35 years. He would haul freight out and produce back. Upon experiencing health issues, he transported RV's for the last eight years. When she retired, Toni traveled and vacationed with him occasionally. They had just returned from a vacation in Montana when he was diagnosed with cancer. Also, his daughter Wendy traveled with him on many trips. Randy enjoyed music and was very talented. He played the guitar with his mom, aunts, uncles and cousins. They had numerous blue grass jam sessions. He also delighted his nieces and nephews by playing Santa Claus through the years. Other interests including fishing, hunting, mowing grass and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Martha McClary; sister, Dee McClary; brother, Jimmy McClary; and brothers-in-law, Herman Gould, Richard Wirz, and Dave Hodges. Jahn Robert Payne Jahn Robert Payne of Bourbon, Missouri was born in Hemet, California on January 23, 1960 to Lester W. and Mary E. (Crockett) Payne and passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020 at the age of 60 years. He grew up and attended school in Idyllwild, California and went to work as a young man, building houses with his dad. After his dad passed away Jahn came back to Missouri in 1979. He was employed with Meramec Group for 18 years. Jahn married Daisy Nash on July 3, 1987. He eventually began working with (Esselte) Tops and at the time of his passing had been with them for 24 years. Jahn loved technology and working with computers. He also enjoyed playing in pool tournaments. In his later years, he liked to garden and drive his Pinzgauer. He was always willing to help anyone he could and never met a stranger. Jahn will be remembered by his loved ones and closest friends as being intelligent, a jokester, super kind and compassionate. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Mary Payne. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Payne of Bourbon, Missouri; two daughters, Kim Pyles and husband David of Sullivan, Missouri and Angie Thomas and husband William of Bourbon, Missouri; his dog, Sammy, also known as his "favorite daughter"; six grandchildren, Kelsey Payne, Seth Gillespey, Blake Thomas, Karter King, Henry and Jim Pyles; two brothers, James Payne of Cuba, Missouri and John Payne and wife Susan of Hemet, California; four sisters, Linda Gatch and husband Adam of Salem, Oregon, Sue Lahmann and husband Daxton, Mary Jane Stout and husband Mike, all of Cuba, Missouri and Virginia "Boody" Forester and husband Dennis of Sullivan, Missouri; one brother-in-law, Dennis Nash and wife Mary Lou of Bonne Terre, Missouri; other relatives and friends. (Hobbs) Thomason of St. James, Missouri was born on February 13, 1942 in Chaffee, Missouri to J.V. and Vera Edalman Hobbs and passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the age of 78 years. On July 6, 1963 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri she married Carl Thomason. She was a graduate of College High School in Cape Girardeau, and she attended nursing school in St. Louis, Missouri. She most recently worked at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri before her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.V. and Vera Hobbs; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hobbs and Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Edalman; and brother-in-law, Mitchell Deimund. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carl Thomason; daughters, Jo Anne Bell of Haines City, Florida and Jamie Danielle Robertson of Kansas City, Missouri; two granddaughters, Tabatha Marie Bell and Meadow Alexa Robertson; sister, Nancy Jo Deimund of Monticello, Wisconsin; nephew, Mitchell Deimund Jr.; niece, Michelle Deimund; her pets; other relatives and friends. Dr. Richard Lee Williams Dr. Richard Lee Williams of Bourbon, Missouri was born in Lecoma, Missouri on January 20, 1940 to Roger and Jessica Williams (nee Scott) and passed away on September 2, 2020 at the age of 80 years, 7 months and 12 days. He married Almeta Jones on January 23, 1958. In 1980, Richard graduated with a BA in Pastoral Administration from Tri-State Baptist College and was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Tri-State Baptist College in 1988. He pastored at First Baptist Church of Eastbay in Riverview, Florida from 1981-1991 and Meramec Valley Baptist Church in St. Cloud, Missouri from 1991-present. His hobbies were building, gardening and reading, especially World War II material because it hearkened to the war his father fought in. His many friends and family will remember and miss him for his good humor, big heart, and enduring loyalty and love for his Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Jessica Williams; and one brother, Roger Daniel Williams.
