On June 10, 1967 Kandy married Richard D. Alexander. Kandy worked as a driver with SMTS transportation service from 1994-2012. She truly enjoyed her job helping people to care for their daily needs. Her interests and hobbies included painting, decorating and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed playing the piano and sharing her faith as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Sweet and Golden Mills Sweet. She is survived by her husband, Richard Alexander of St. James, Missouri; children, Daniel and wife Lisa of Lima, Peru, Joel and wife Peggy of Steelville, Missouri and Keturah and husband Robert Morales of St James, Missouri; grandchildren, Landon, Cameron, Lydia, Madilynn, and Mylia; other relatives and friends. Floyd Eugene "Gene" Bartle Floyd Eugene "Gene" Bartle of St. James, Missouri was born on November 5, 1936 in St. Louis, Missouri to Otha Eugene and Martha Lorea Onstott Bartle and passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at the age of 82 years. Gene worked in construction for over 40 years for both Fred Weber and Porter-Dewitt in St. Louis, Missouri. Throughout his career, he helped create the roads you use today and built the landscape that no one really envisioned until it was complete. Outside of work, he was passionate about music and was often playing one of his many well-loved guitars with Merle Owens and the Country Cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otha Eugene and Martha Lorea Onstott Bartle; infant sister, Phyllis Bartle; and two sisters-in-law, Lola and Connie Bartle. Betty married Henry Busse on October 17, 1970 in St. Clair, Missouri and they made their home in Bourbon, Missouri. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed raising her children. Jordan was known as a very giving friend, doing for others and befriending people of all kinds. His interests included being a talented cook and enjoying classic cars. Melvin J. Kamler Melvin J. Kamler of Cuba, Missouri was born to Joe and Ida E. (Enloe) Kamler on Wednesday, May 10, 1933 in Franklin County, Missouri and passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Melvin married Barbara J. Dunton on March 28, 1953 in Arkansas. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage prior to her passing on June 15, 2005. On December 20, 2007 Melvin married Noma (Graham) Conway in Cuba, Missouri. Melvin was the longtime owner and operator of the former Glo-Lite Company in Cuba, Missouri. Melvin worked in the HVAC business for 40+ years before he retired. He was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church of Cuba for many years and he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. In his spare time, he enjoyed farming, taking care of his cattle, fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Ida Kamler; wife, Barbara J. "Bobbie" Kamler; two brothers, Curtis and John D. Kamler; and two sisters, Georgetta Shasserre and Marie Klouzek. Peter Louis Land Peter Louis Land was born on November 20, 1929 in Leasburg, Missouri to Helen Coulson and Roland Martin Land and passed away August 22, 2019 at the age of 89 years. As a young boy, Peter Lou labored alongside his father and brother, Haley. Soon he was teaching his siblings and his mother how to drive. He worked for the United States Geological Service after which he joined the Navy. He was a radio instructor and remained stateside. He went on to attend the University of Misouri where he received his Doctorate in Physics and continued with a Fellowship in Sweden. Peter Lou met Kathleen Jo Wysong when working with her father, Elwood. They were married on April 9, 1966. While attending the university Peter Lou worked for a building contractor and he decided one day he would build a house similar to one he favored. In 1978 he and Kathy bought some wooded acrage and with the help of family and friends they build their home in a park like setting. On January 1, 1981 he underwent surgery to have one of his kidneys removed and placed into his sister, Dorothy, a diabetic with kidney failure. This surgery saved her live and she lived almost 27 additional years with his kidney. Peter Lou chose a career at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio working with crystals. After retirement he continued to meet with some of his former co-workers and physicists to discuss the current challenges in their field of study. They did not always agree but they all had "fun." He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Marie; his parents, Helen Land and Martin Land; two brothers, Haley and William; two sisters, Lillian and Dorothy; and in-laws, Josephine and Elwood Wysong, Russell Dawson, Joseph Bishop, Donald Dillon and Richard Marsh. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two daughters, Jennifer and Debora; one brother, Donald and wife Aiko; three sisters, Lois Land, Joyce Bishop and Shirley Dillon; other relatives and friends. Tracey Doreen Stockton Rosemann Tracey Doreen Stockton Rosemann was born on September 30, 1969 in St. Charles, Missouri to John "Jack" and Joyce Jean (Carroll) Stockton and passed away August 27, 2019 at the age of 49 years. Tracey graduated from Belle High School in 1988 but was proud to call herself a Bland Bear for many of her school years. She graduated in 1990 from Rolla Vo-Tech. As a young girl she was always hanging out with the boys and eventually became that quintessential "Mother Hen." However, as she grew into her teenage years and into a young lady, she developed friendships with some of her classmates and co-workers that would last a lifetime. She married David Rosemann on December 4, 1993. She loved to paint ceramics, grow house plants, ride the backroads and travel. But most of all she loved camping, playing cards with friends, and the water. From a very young age she had a deep affinity for dogs and cats, especially her own. She could also stand her ground and let you know exactly who was in charge, which was very helpful in her time as a foster system parent. Tracey had attended various churches but most importantly had accepted Christ as her Savior. She served on the Grove Dale Cemetery Board, was a great cook and superb listener. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Joyce Stockton. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, David Rosemann; one daughter, Morgan Rosemann of St. James, Missouri; one sister, Trisha Drewel and husband Mike of Belle, Missouri; other family and friends. Skaggs of Bourbon, Missouri was born Monday, March 19, 1956 at Hillsboro, Missouri and passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at the age of 63 years. Danny was the owner and operator of D & S Siding Pro for nearly 20 years before retiring a few years ago. He had served as an alderman for the city of Bourbon, Missouri and since 2014 Danny has been the Mayor of Bourbon, Missouri. A title that he took very seriously. Danny was an avid collector of Dale Earnhardt memorabilia and he was an avid fan of NASCAR. He knew all the driver's names and their sponsors. He was a fan of St. Louis Cardinal baseball, North Carolina basketball and Mizzou football. In his younger years, Danny loved to play basketball. He enjoyed many Novembers at deer camp and sometimes he would go deer hunting. His fish tank, with lots of fish, is where he was most evenings. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Edith Skaggs; brother-in-law, Curtis Luna; and sister-in-law, Wilma Sellers. John Speroulias Jr. John Speroulias Jr. of Cuba, Missouri was born to John and Katie (Palermo) Speroulias Sr. on January 29, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at the age of 84 years. John married Konstanze Lang on June 7, 1958 in Kansas City. John retired as a police officer from the City of St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie Speroulias Sr.; and two brothers, Christ and Andrew Speroulias. He is survived by his wife, Konstanze "Connie" Speroulias of the home; two children, John Thomas Speroulias of Dixon, Missouri and Catherine and husband David Millman of Wildwood, Missouri; four grandchildren, Blake, Amanda, Brittany and Courtney Millman; other relatives and friends. Russell Richard Wasson Russell Richard Wasson was born on May 30, 1938 in St. Louis, Missouri to Russell Reed Wasson and Anna Marie Bosch and passed away on Monday, September 9, 2019 at the age of 81 years. Russ attended the St. Louis School System, graduating from Roosevelt High School in St. Louis, Missouri in 1956. He then attended the Apostolic Bible Institute in Minneapolis, Minnesota, graduating in 1958. He married Jerris G. Sanders on November 1, 1958 in a double ceremony along with Jerris' sister, Marjorie Sanders, who wed Joseph D. Kuhn. The ceremony took place at the Apostolic Assembly of Jesus Christ Church with Rev. Harry Branding and Guy Roam officiating. Russ subsequently joined the U.S. Air Force in April of 1959 where he spent the next 20 years working as a computer systems analyst and programmer. He and Jerris raised two children and lived in various locations including England, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, Arizona and finally finished in Hawaii retiring in 1979. They then returned to their home in St. Louis, Missouri where he worked another 20+ years in computer programming and operations, finally retiring to Bourbon, Missouri in 2005. Russ loved reading and singing to the children, attending church and teaching Sunday school, travelling occasionally to Hawaii and other locales as well as spending countless hours on the garden tractor. He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Reid Wasson; mother, Anna Marie (Bosch) Bokerman; step father, Fred Bokerman; grandmother, Cora Wasson; aunt, Hazel Wilson; and brother-in-law, Lavon Sharp. With her quick wit and sass, she was always the life of the party and her smile could light up a room. She enjoyed going and listening to the Lorraine Bros. play music.
