MO Local Obituaries for the Week of September 24, 2008 Pauline Elizabeth Dulworth Pauline Elizabeth Dulworth of St. James, Missouri formerly of Cuba, Missouri was born on Friday, June 4, 1920 in Rochelle, Illinois to Albert Leroy VanNess and Agnes Katherine Jeans VanNess. She passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 16 days. Pauline married Tommy Wayne Dulworth on November 20, 1937 in Rolla, Missouri and to this union two children were born. She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Cuba, Missouri. She had previously worked as an inspector at the Baird’s clothing factory in Rolla, Missouri for 20 years. Her hobbies were sewing, and volunteering at the Cuba Senior Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Otto (Mary) VanNess, Richard (Norma) VanNess, and Perle Lloyd VanNess; and son, Tommy Wayne Dulworth, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Arron) Easton of Cuba, Missouri; granddaughter, Shelley Dawn Jones of St. Clair, Missouri; grandson Arron Lee (Kathy) Easton Illinois of Killeen, Texas; great grandchildren, Jonathan Jones, Trevor and Jarron Easton; brother, James (Norma) VanNess of Tennessee; sisters-in-law Betty Jane Ball of Atlanta, Georgia and Sarah VanNess of Raytown, Missouri; other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, September 22, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. and funeral at 7 p.m. at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri with Rev. Allen Teal officiating. Burial on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Green Forest Cemetery, Salem, Missouri. All arrangements under the direction of Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, Missouri. Lillian R. Eikermann Lillian R. Eikermann of Bourbon, Missouri was born November 9, 1912 at Bourbon, Missouri to the union of Jacob and Elizabeth (nee Allsman) Rohrer and passed away on September 15, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 95 years, 10 months and 6 days. Lillian was united in marriage to Fred Harmon on July 21, 1932 and passed away November of 1934. Lillian was then united in marriage to Oscar Henry Eikermann on February 19, 1938 and to this union one son was born. Lillian taught in a one room school house in Crawford, Franklin, Washington and Gasconade counties for several years. After teaching she worked for the Shoe Factory in Rolla, a factory in Owensville, Paramount Cap in Bourbon and Lolle Farms Feed Store in Bourbon. She was a 4-H leader and Sunday School Teacher for many years and was a life long member of the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, canning, making pies, playing the piano and singing in the church choir. She was known to be an avid reader, an excellent seamstress and a beautiful quilt maker. But what was the most important to her, was her family and spending time with them. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Leland O. Eikermann; 11 brothers and sisters, Florence Isgriggs, Jason, Dan, Hallie, Carric, Carrie, Fred, Lawrence, Howard, Virgil and Quentin Rohrer; other relatives and friends. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Carol-Gay and husband Ken Schroeder of Leasburg, Missouri; one sister, Zelma Berry Hill of Venice, Florida; four grandchildren, Leland Jr., Lise’, Lance and Laura Kay; 11 great grandchildren, Josh, Luke, Brandon, Caitlin, Jennifer, Drake, Wyatt, Tripp, Jacob, Ethan and Elizabeth; other relatives and friends. Visitation was held Saturday, September 20, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon, Missouri. Funeral service was at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 21, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Bourbon with Pastor Leo Shumaker officiating. Pallbearers were Lillian’s great grandchildren. Interment followed at the Bourbon Cemetery, Bourbon, Missouri. Arrangements under the direction of the Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Arnold Charles Terrill Arnold Charles Terrill of Cuba, Missouri was born October 6, 1922 at Dent County, Missouri to the union of Charles A. and Virgie (nee Summers) Terrill and passed away September 17, 2008 at Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 9 days. Arnold served in the United States Army Air Force as a Corporal from 19 Jan 1943 until 24 Nov 1945. Arnold was united in marriage to Ruth M. Marten on August 27, 1946 at Fresno, California and to this union for children were born. He retired in 1984 as a concrete finisher from Mullen Concrete in St. Louis, Missouri, after 30 years of dedicated service. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, fishing, squirrel hunting and was an avid Cardinals Baseball fan. He also enjoyed traveling to Montana, Washington, Florida, Arizona and Colorado (just to name a few) to go camping. He also had a great talent for designing something beautiful and then building it out of scraps of wood. But what was always most important to him, was his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his parents; other relatives and friends. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, of Cuba, Missouri; two sons, Mark and wife Kim Terrill and Douglas and wife Kathy Terrill all of Wildwood, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara and husband Leonard House of Cuba, Missouri and Ann and husband Allen Rabbermann of Oakville, Missouri; one brother, Arnett and wife Patricia Terrill of Fort Meyers, Florida; 15 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Visitation was on Friday, September 19, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri. Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 at Britton Funeral Home of Cuba, Missouri with Father James Finder officiating. Special music for the service “Ava Maria, On Eagles Wings and Be Not Afraid” by Pat Elders and Mary Pounds. Interment at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery of Cuba, Missouri with full military honors.
